It was insane how one moment someone's life could be so utterly wonderful, and then the next it feels like a completely hell hole. Thats how Carina Dolohov's life was going during this moment in time. Every since sleeping with one guy her whole life had changed. She had not regretted that night for anything, but somehow the whole school found out about it, then her brother, and now he is pissed off at her for not being a virgin. Soon after that night she started dating Jake. Jake was amazing too her, everything she could ever ask for, but after them sleeping together, guess who found out. Blaze. He confronted her about it and threatened to cut off his well, you know, and break her legs. It was horrifying, and Being Carina, she didn't say anything to her brother.
Now, everything was worse. It was the day after her encounter with Demetri Greyback, and Carina hasn't even moved since she sat on the couch the night before after getting away from Demetri. her legs were drawn to her chest, and her chin was rested on her knees. Her bright blue eyes just starring out to the fire. See Carina had never expected to become just another rape victim of Demetri, she even fought him back, but it only made it worse. Now, see now Carina just felt like a dirty whore who cheated on the one man she thought she might actually love in this point in her life.
To make it all worse she now was engaged to non other to damned Kevin Lott, but he couldn't be that bad. He was actually concerned with what had happened to her. He wanted to kill Demetri, that counted for something right, and he actually picked out a engagement ring for her. That she actually was in love with now. it was placed on her finger and she couldn't help but smile down at it. It was gorgeous to her. White gold, and aquamarine, both things she had mentioned wanting in a wedding ring when she was younger and would bore then boy to death with when they were forced to stay over at each others houses. Carina just thought he ignored her, apparently now.
Taking a deep breath she rubbed her for head pulling her knees to her chest resting her chin on her knees once again. Thinking how her life was going to turn back to normal

Petra walk into the common room. She just come back from studying in the library. She was usually seen there since she practically lived. She was heading up to her room when she spotted her best friend sitting on the couch. She was actually worried about her best friend she had been acting strange lately and she being who she was wanted to know what was wrong with her. She saw Carina looking out something and she poke her head behind Carina shoulder and saw a ring. no way she thought in disbelief. Her best friend had a engagement ring on her finger. Her best friend was getting married. “I better be the maid of honor.” She said as she sat by Carina. “Who’s the lucky guy?” She asked her friend but was pretty sure Jake was the one to ask her though they were to young to be thinking about getting married.
“What’s wrong, dear.” She said as she notice the hurt in her friends face. She knew Carina for the past 6 years and more. She practically lived at Carina’s house during the summer when she wasn’t living with Claire. But this year she was living with Jack since he adopted her during Christmas time. She didn’t know what her best friend was thinking. Carina had been distant and she didn’t know why. She guessed it was her fault for always relaying on her so much. “You know you can tell me anything. I’m always here if you need anything.” She said. “ohh I forgot to give you’re birthday present. “ She ran to her dorm and got out a tiny box wrap in blue paper. She had bought Carina a necklace since she wasn’t sure what to get her this year. They weren’t young anymore and since this present was for her 16 she thought it should be a little more expensive. She hoped she like it since it took her a while just to get it. She hand Carina the box. “I hope you like it.” She smiled.

Carina had never in a million years thought she would be in the situation she was in now. Engaged to a man she was suppose to hate, a victim of rape from a man she believed to know, and had even grown up with. Right now, worried to death she was going to loose the man she believed herself to love, to a man she hated, she knew that she was in a place she wanted to escape from so badly. It wasn't even funny anymore.
Sitting there twirling the ring around her finger the sixteen year old nearly jumped when she heard the sound of her friends voice running through her ears. Rolling her eyes she just shrugged looking at the magnificent ring before back to Petra. "It's not Jake if thats what you want to know. Better yet you will never guess who I have to marry." She cut herself off for a dramatic pause. "Lets just say in the near future I will be Mrs. Carina Dolohov Lott." A smirk on her face as she looked back up to Petra with a small frown on her face. "Jake is going to hate me, I haven't told him yet. I haven't told anyone yet besides Odette. I haven't even been wearing the ring, that is until about two days ago when I realized how much I do like it." With that she got quiet laying her head back on the couch as she glared over into the fire.
Carina just sighed. This was getting to her, fast. That along with the rape thing. It was seriously eating away at her. "I know. I know. I can tell you anything. Funny thing is, you know, I could just not marry Kevin by letting him go after Demetri, I am pretty sure that Demetri would kick his ass... Then maybe I wouldn't have to marry him." Carina just talked as her friend got up and walked off, not even noticing that she didn't know about the incident with Demetri, or her rape yet.
Awaiting her return Carina smiled very lightly as he took the box opening it. "Is beautiful. I love it." She hugged her friend before sitting back int he same position as earlier. "My life is horrible Petra, the only good thing is this ring. it's just like the one I always wanted, but the man who picked it out wasn't the man I wanted as a husband. What am i going to do?"

Petra hug Carina back. “WHAT! You’re marrying Kevin?” She was a little shock that her best friend was marrying her worst enemy. “at least he got you a expensive ring.” She said patting her friend on the shoulder. “I heard you talking about Demetri but why would Kevin go after him.” She made herself comfortable.
She rubbed her friend on the back in a comforting way. She knew her friend was upset about something but she didn’t know why. Carina hasn’t been acting herself lately. She was calmer then usual and that wasn’t normal. If you put her and Carina in a room it will be crazy since Carina brought her crazy side out. The common room itself would have turn into a circus or something.
She hug Carina once again since she hated to see her like this. “Everything is going to be okay.” She said. “and what are you saying the ring is the only good thing in your life. Screw the ring I’m the best thing that’s in your life.” She joked since she wanted a smile back on Carina face. “Life is always going to have its up and downs. Look at my life. It’s full of downs but I can always count on you and Claire to be there for me. “ If she didn’t have Carina and Claire she didn’t know who she’ll be right now.
