Wincing at the very touch of the healing wound, Odette sighed examining the reflection in the mirror. It was only now she felt like killing Demetri again, only she had learned her lesson the first time. They’d fought before but he never attacked her like this. But, then he protected her and helped her, so as long as the gash healed up sooner or later, she’d be fine. Hopefully there would be no scars left behind. Her father wouldn’t be amused, she knew that for one thing. He’d probably go and hunt Demetri down himself.
Speaking of father’s, Odette had planned on visiting her father. It had been a few weeks since their last meeting and the short separation was driving her crazy. Lately she had just been stuck with Blaze and he was nothing compared to her father, yes, he had his comforting and caring moments, but Brett was always the concerning type around her. It was probably because he never had the chance to be like this to any of his other daughters, one who was a teenage mom turned lesbian, and the other a drug addict. Even that was pretty messy. It only earned compassion from Odette’s side, her father was a great man, who was just bombarded with a lot of problems, her probably being one of them. She was a love child after all.
Odette understood how lucky she had been to have the chance to let her father into her life. Not many men wanted anything to do with their children, especially an illegitimate child. The discovery of Odette could break a marriage, a family, and as far as Odette had known, Brett loved his wife and family, Odette didn’t want to deprive him of such a thing. There was a simple rule, if her father was happy, then so was she. It just went to show how close she really was to her father.
Coming to the decision of not bothering to cover up her wound, Odette skimmed the pale pink lipstick over her lips once again. She still had time to kill. After all, she hadn’t planned on meeting up with her father until three, it was the only time he was able to manage. Slipping her feet into a pair of heels, Odette grabbed her handbag and smirked to herself. If she was early, then she’d just order a coffee or something. Odette left the dorm, now she just to make it to Hogsmeade.
Odette had taken the short way to Hogsmeade, using the secret passageways through Hogwarts. The quicker the better in her opinion. But she had made it to Madam Puddifoot’s just in time. However, the figure of a familiar male occupied one of the tables at the far end of the shop. Grinning to herself as she approached him, Odette placed a small kiss on his cheek, “Hey dad,” She greeted him before waving to the waitress to come over their way. “Wow, you’ve gotten old since the last time I seen you. Is that…is that a grey hair?” She gasped, amused by her own jokes.
