Okay, so in all logic, Louis Weasley knew it was a horrible idea to venture into the Forbidden Forest just so he could practice his dueling skills with various magical creatures. You would think being a Fifth year student now that his sense of reason and common sense would grow, but apparently not because here he was limping through the dangerous forest in the middle of the night, not exactly sure where the exit was.
He was tired and in pain, his robes were torn in various places, a gash ran across the left side of his hairline and was bleeding heavily, as was another deeper gash torn up his left leg, he was pretty sure his left ankle was sprained. And from his harsh breathing, there was a possibly of adding a few bruised and maybe cracked ribs too. All in all, he was a mess. His clothes were a mess, his normally spiky blond hair was matted with dirt and fallen flat over his head, and his brain was definitely not working very well.
Even worse, he felt his vision getting more blurry by the second, maybe he should add head trauma to everything else. Let's just say Louis felt like crap. Maybe it was time to cut back on late night excursions out into the forest. After all, he really like to be alive to become an auror and not being expelled from school for breaking the rules.
As he continued to try and focus on putting one foot in front of the other, Louis could tell his strength was fading. Seconds later, his legs went out from under him and he practically face-planted to the ground. He knew time was running out and he needed help, so with the last of his strength, he gripped his wand and summoned his Falcon patronus as a last call of help. Then he just laid there paralyzed and fading in and out of consciousness, hoping that someone would come to his rescue.
