WARRIOR POET ONCE SAID ," you're not dead yet so live like you could be . " • • • • • • • • • • • •
The stars all seemed so bright tonight, as young Diana Keller leaned against the opening in the north tower facing out to the grounds. her face was turned up to the sky as she just marveled over the simple beauty of the bright lights up in the dark black sky. Her hair was down on her shoulders, and her black jacket was hugging her body making sure to keep the little heat that was in the room contained to her.
Tonight was actually being a good night, minus the fact that she had to stay at school tonight, not go home and stay with Liz, and her sister. Something that she did on a daily basis, but not tonight. Lena had been running late so she didn't get a chance to apparate to the school and pick her up to take home, so now here she was breaking curfew and looking out at the sky not really caring about anything anymore, why should she?
She was the happiest she had ever been, even if she was living a lie. She was here, safe form her step dad. She was fitting in, people liked her, and well her sister was helping keep her in school, and take care of Liz. so how could her life get any better? She didn't know, because truthfully she didn't think it could. Picking up her leg so her foot was touching her butt slightly she leaned over onto the edge of the window, propping her elbows on it just looking at the stars again, thinking about how lucky she truthfully was.
Diana knew she could be back home with her stepdad, locked in her room, waiting for him to come in... Liz could have gotten taking away from her, or worse her stepfather could have started his old ways with the fresh meat of non other than his daughter...So things were actually good for once in her life, so Diana Keller, also known to her friends back home Diana Black, was safe and happy, so netherless the bright smile didn't live her lips as she just stood there starring at the twinkling stars.

Resting against a I beam amongst the rafters of the tall Northern Tower. He was currently watching a black bird that had landed on the ledge of a crack in the building. He was drawing it in his sketch book and trying to get every detail right. It had been a while since he had drawn animals. He had been working a lot on humans and automobiles. Sure, he was good, but he was going to be the best he could be. He sighed lightly and then heard someone moving around down below. He looked over his legs to the right and saw a girl standing at the window, leaning on her arms. As he did so, his sketch book slipped from his lap and fell to the floor, some twenty feet below him. "Look out down there!" he called as he climbed his way down to retrieve the sketch book, praying that it had missed the girl and landed on the floor away from him. As he got to the floor and stood up, he saw that it had landed a ways from her and the pages were folded funny. ' Damnit' he thought to himself. He looked over at the girl and picked up his book. "I'm terribly sorry... quite an accident..." he assured her. He folded the book back and tried to press the pages. He flipped to his current sketch and looked at her again, smiling lightly.

Diana hadn't even been paying attention anymore. Her mind was off in another world starring up at the sky as she leaned dangeroulsy close to the edge of the ledge as she gazed, but her thoughts were soon to be cut off whens he heard the loud voice coming from above her, catching her off guard and making her stumble backwards just to see as a sketch book flew down and landed in the spot where she had been standing. Maybe thats what the person was trying to warn her about. She didn't know. Just turning to watch as a beirded guy walked in picking up the sketchbook and talking.
Diana couldn't help but smile as she looked at the boy, her blue eyes running over him, and locking on the book. "Oh, its absolutely fine, i doubt you mean to throw a book down and hit me on the head, even if you did, I doubt i would be mad." She said with a reassuring smile as she ran her fingers threw her hair. "From what i could tell by the simple glance i got at your work you're pretty good. I'm Diana by the way. Diana Keller."

Jeremy was glad he had not run into a girl that would rip his head off --for lack of a better term-- for scaring them like that. But she seemed responsive and moved just in time for the book to land where she had been standing just a moment before. She smiled at hime and told him that she doubt he would try to hit her and even if he did she doubted she would be mad at him. He gave her a bright smile. "Well thank you. I'm glad you're not hurt. And I definatly don't try to drop books on girls' heads." He laughed lightly and then followed her gaze to his book. She told him he was very good and he smiled again.
"Thank you, Diana... that's such a beautiful name. I'm Jeremy Kirst. Every calls me Jeremy. I own the tattoo parlor in Hogsmede..." He held out the book to her. "You can look at it, if you'd like. This time its not falling on you." He grinned.
((Sorry its so short. I'm crunched for time at work.))
