In the span of a few minutes Milly's perfect life had been changed from perfect to a disaster. Milly had found out her husband had cheated on her while they were engaged. This had devastated Milly. Her husband had went to his parents house for the week so that they could both clear their heads. For that whole week Milly had spent most of the time crying. Of coarse she kept the whole situation away from Sophia, their daughter. She had told Sophia that her father was gone away to a quidditch tournament and would be gone for awhile. Her lie had worked, though little innocent Sophia was often found crying for her father. It broke Milly's heart to see Sophia cry like this, which made Milly cry even more.
During this slight separation from her husband, Milly had found out something. If she would of found this out two weeks earlier she would have been thrilled. However, given the circumstances, this new couldn't have came at a worst time. Milly had found out that she was pregnant. Milly and Alec had been trying to get pregnant for a while now. They wanted a son desperately. Now, in the mists of their crumbling marriage, Milly had finally gotten pregnant again. She was terrified that the stress of her discovery that Alec had cheated would hurt the baby or cause her to have a miscarriage.
Milly exited the bathroom that connected to her room after her second time puking this morning. That was one thing she hated about being pregnant, the morning sickness. Sighing, Milly walked over to her bed and laid down, staring up at the ceiling. Alec's side of the bed had been cold for a week. She missed the warmth he used to bring to the immense bed. Her eyes were still puffy and red from her days and days of crying. Milly sat up and looked around the room. It was a mess. There was clothing everywhere along with a garbage can of overflowing tissues. She would not let the house elf's step foot into her room. Deciding it was time to clean this mess, Milly began to pick up clothes from the floor and throw them in a basket. She wore her silky white nightdress that stopped mid-thigh. With each step she took the dress flowed gracefully. Milly stopped in front of the mirror and looked at herself. She was a mess. She placed a hand on her stomach and rubbed it, greeting the growing child inside of her. Not being able to look at herself like this, Milly moved away from the mirror and began to clean once again.

Rubbing the back of his neck, Alec leaned against the wall in the living room while the rest of his family all gathered around in a circle, clearly interest with his latest dilemma. “I told you all, things are just going a little rough with us, that’s all.” He knew what they where all thinking, they where gagging to know whether a divorce was heading his way, and to be honest, Alec was floating in uncharted waters, he could either sink or swim, but it all demanded on Milly’s choice, would she keep him or leave him? Looking at his father, who’s guilt ridden face hadn’t faltered since his arrival to the Lott Manor, Alec couldn’t blame Brett was exposing his secret, nothing ever stayed a secret for ever, and Alec had learned that the hard way.
It was ironic, how everyone’s life where slowly coming together and Alec’s was quickly falling apart. The tables where turning, for the worst. There Trent was, now with Angela and his son, clearly over the moon with his life, and there was his parents who had always been content with life, and the rest of family where only getting back on their feet. The only thing that Alec missed, what he craved for most, was his wife and daughter. He couldn’t just hang around not being able to see them, spend any time with them. That was when he realized, that he couldn’t just keep away like he promised, he had to go back, whether Milly liked it or not, if she wanted to work it out then they could, if she didn’t then…
Entering his home for the first time in a week, it almost felt like he was a stranger. Closing his eyes for a moment, he closed the door quietly behind him and walked towards the living room, hoping to see Milly or Sophia. No one was occupying the room much to Alec’s displeasure. Walking up the staircase, he kept his eyes on each step as he continued to climb to a new level with each step. What if Milly didn’t want him to visit? Well, obviously she wasn’t going to be delighted to see him. Opening their bedroom door, Alec’s eyes landed on his wife, who wasn’t exactly looking like herself. Her eyes where red and puffy, and their room, it wasn’t as…tidy as it usually was. Arching an eyebrow, he looked at Milly not exactly knowing what to say, “Hey,” He said softly, loosening his tie and looking towards the garbage can which was now filled with used tissues.

Milly had no idea what to do. She knew that the choice was hers on whether or not to stay married to Alec or to break off their marriage. It was a difficult decision for her, considering the fact that she was now pregnant. She didn't want her unborn child to be raised in a broken family, but then she didn't know if she could ever forgive Alec for what he did to her. The violent side of Alec that she had seen the week previous still ran through her head and haunted her nightmares. What if he did something like that again? What if he was a ticking time bomb of anger?
Milly stood there in the mirror, thinking of all that had happened. Why did their marriage have to fall apart now? Right when she was able to conceive another child! Milly jumped about half a foot when she heard a voice come from the door way. Turning around in shock, Milly was face to face with Alec. She stood there for a moment, taking him in. It felt as though she had not seen him for an eternity.
"Hey," was all Milly could say. She was in shock that he was here. His appearance captivated her. She was still head over hells for the man but she knew that what he did was wrong. For a moment, she got lost into him, just by looking at him. Then, snapping back into reality, Milly shook her head and began to walk around the room, picking up the clothing on the floor once again.
"What are you doing here, Alec?" Milly asked in a slight cold tone, not even looking up at Alec. She finished picking up all the clothing on the floor and moved to the bed. She began to make it, even though all she wanted to do was crawl back into it and never see the outside world again.

Standing there, arguing silently with himself to just stand around or just leave. He was stronger than that though, wasn’t he? He knew what to expect whence coming here, his mother had warned him to keep his distance and had reminded him of the state Milly would be in. Sadly though, he had failed to mention the affair and his advancement on Milly, he had simply told his mother that they had been involved in a bitter argument which led Milly took throwing him out of the house for short period of time, well that was what he was wishing for.
Her response was nothing more than what he expected. Alec had arrived at his house with the expectations of his wife cooking, child playing, and a bright smile placed on both of their lips. That image, that hope was banished the moment the words escaped Brett’s lips. His father was a good man, no, a great man, he just had his way with his bloody words and keeping his mouth shut. But along with being a great man, he was a man of honest beliefs when it came to family matters, and Milly was like a daughter, so he only had to be honest.
“What am I doing here?” Alec scoffed, not necessarily meaning to. “If you have failed to remember Milly, this house is mine, it is under my name, therefore I belong here just as much as you do, if not more…” He pointed out with a sigh. Running a hand over his face, Alec’s eyes scanned the room once again before his eyes brought their way to his clock, absentmindedly checking the time.
“But, I’ve came here to take Sophia for a while, I think I’m going to take her out awhile and then back to my parents, it’s been awhile since they have seen her.” Alec informed her, placing his hands in his pockets as he patiently waited for Milly to speak, or if she would even speak at all.

Milly continued to make the bed, trying to keep her mind off the fact that not only was her husband, the cheater, here, but that she was also carrying his child and he had no clue about it. Milly had still not decided whether or not she would tell Alec about the child. Sure he was the father and had a right to know, but it was also that she wasn't sure if she was going to keep it. Was this really the right time to bring another child in the world? The better question was would Milly have the heart to terminate the pregnancy? She knew the answer to that. She knew she would never be able to go through with it. It was more of just a mere thought to her than an actual plan.
"Oh this is your house? Well you could have fooled me since you are barely even here when I do let you in the house!" Milly snapped without realizing it. Mood swings, yet another wonderful sign of her pregnancy. Milly looked at Alec from her current position by the bed with a look of rage, but then her eyes softened as she realized what she had just said. "Sorry, I didn't mean that," Milly sighed, pulling a sheet over the bed. She listened as he spoke, not making eye contact with him yet again.
"She is in her room, having a tea party with her stuffed animals. I advise you to wait until she is finished to disturb her. You know how she gets when people disrupt her tea parties," Milly said to Alec as she fluffed up the pillows and placed them on the bed. Milly walked over to her closet and pulled out the silky house coat that went with her ever so short night dress. She put it on as she walked over to her vanity and grabbed an elastic. Putting her hair in a pony tail, Milly turned around to face Alec, waiting to see if he would say anything or just leave.

He looked at her, clearly surprised with her outburst. Sure, he had known her to have her snappy moments, but this was much more than a snappy moment. So that was how she really felt about him then? Her attitude was clearly showing what resentment she felt. But, who was he to blame? He was the one who cheated, not intentionally, and especially not planning on being caught out, worst of all, not by his own bloody father! Damn, he really needed to stop holding that grudge against his father. Alec was quite aware that nothing could be done about it, his eight year second had been caught out and he had no one to blame but himself.
“That’s because I work my fucking back off trying to provide for this family!” Alec snapped right back at her. If she wished to bark, then he had no problem barking right back at her. As she looked at him, clearly outraged, he glared at her, currently not amused with the behaviour of the pair. Then reality seemed to hit home with Milly as she apologized and continued fixing the bed. He never knew it was possible to feel so unwelcome in your own home, but he had learned something new in the last five minutes.
“I see…” He said finally as she turned to him, what else could he say? Shrugging, “I’ll go make myself a coffee while I’m waiting then.” Alec said turning and making his way down to the kitchen. Maybe it was time to give up, he had said his apologizes and their conversations hadn’t been anything but a simple hello and that was about it.
Sighing to himself as he entered the kitchen and hit the kettle, Alec leaned against the counter and waited on the kettle boiling, silently entrapped in his own thoughts.

Milly could feel her marriage slowly slipping away from her fingertips. No matter how much she tried to pull it back, it just seemed to keep floating away. Why did she keep messing this up? How did she keep saying the wrong things? It was so unlike her, but then again, she was carrying a huge secret over her shoulder. She knew she had to tell Alec. It was the only way she could save their marriage. She needed to wait for the right moment though. Now was not the right time. But when would the right time be.
As Alec snapped back at her, Milly could feel tears build up in her eyes that she didn't dare let fall. She was so emotional lately, yet another sign of her pregnancy. She let Alec go to the kitchen, not following him. If he wanted to leave that was fine for her, even though every bone in her body was screaming for him to come back. Milly finished cleaning up the room. She looked at the garbage can overfilled with tissues and knew she had to throw those out. A garbage bag is what she needed and those were in the kitchen, sighing, Milly made her way to the kitchen.
As she stepped foot into the kitchen she did not say a word to Alec. She just walked over to the pantry and grabbed a garbage bag out of it. Milly opened it as she looked around, avoiding eye contact with Alec. The smell of the freshly brewed coffee hit her nostrils and just set her off. She could feel her stomach churning and churning, waiting to throw her stomach contents on the floor for the second time that morning. Throwing the garbage bag to the floor, Milly placed a hand over her mouth and ran to the sink. She then vomited, not caring that Alec was right there to witness everything. Panting, Milly leaned over the sink and let the water from the tap run to wash away her puke. Tears welled in her eyes again, her hatred for puking showing everywhere.

[It was hard for him to admit it, admit the fact that his marriage was falling apart and his was witnessing it all, not even stopping it. He had tried, he had apologized, told her that he loved her and needed her, and gave her the privacy that she needed, what else could he possibly do? He was never a crowd pleaser, and after believing he tried his hardest, he was slowly giving up on them, slowly but surely.
Finally when Milly had decided to make her entrance into the kitchen, with no contact whatsoever, Alec felt invisible. Sipping on his coffee, attempting to be content, but his life was an utter screw up, how could he be content? It was only last week when they where playing happy families so wonderfully, people envied their love and happiness, and now they where just another broken family. It was a sad tale, something he hoped he wouldn’t have to endure. Putting the cup on the counter, Alec was on the verge of turning and going to see what Sophia was up to now, but something held him back.
The sudden action, the quick movement and the sound of a woman vomiting caused the hairs on the back of his neck to stand. Alec hurried over to Milly, resting a hand on her back. It had been awhile since the last time he had witnessed a woman vomit, it was the last time Milly was pregnant with Sophia, and throughout the course of the first few months, Alec could only sympathise for his wife. “Are you okay love?” He asked, the concern obvious in his voice as he rubbed her back in comfort. Seeing her eyes well up, Alec sighed, “What’s wrong?” He inquired, seeing as Milly was clearly upset about something. Maybe it was just the fact that she was sick, clearly she wasn’t well. “Do you want me to take you to St.Mungo’s?” Alec asked, frowning in concern.

As Milly stood there, leaning over the sink, watching the water flow down the drain, she knew she had to tell her husband now. It was going to be hard, and she didn't know if she could find the words to say it. But as he came to her rescue, calling her love and rubbing her back, Milly realized that she still loved him, and that everything was going to be okay. Milly shut off the tap and grabbed a paper towel that was near the sink, wiping the vomit off of her mouth. She regained control of her breath before standing up straight and turning to face Alec.
"I'm fine," Milly said to Alec, the love for him radiating in her eyes even though there was no hint of a smile on her face. Her heart began to race as she thought about what she was going to say soon. If it were just a week ago Milly would have already told him and they would be jumping up and down with joy and celebrating. Now, however, she felt almost scared to tell him. She didn't know why she did feel scared, but she did.
"No no, I don't need to go to St. Mungo's. I was there the other day actually," Milly began, looking at Alec with her calm loving eyes. Milly had went to see the doctor and he had confirmed what she knew before she had visited there. The doctor had told her that she was five weeks pregnant. She thought that she had missed her period because of all the stress she was having from what happened with Alec, but when the vomiting came, she knew she had to see a doctor.
"I haven't been feeling good lately and I just wanted to get checked out and I found out something," Milly said slowly, trying to find the words to say next. She had to word it just right. Even though she was still clearly mad and frustrated at Alec, she wanted this to come off as loving as she could muster given the circumstances. Taking a deep breath, Milly looked at Alec one last time before looking to the ground.
"Alec, I'm pregnant," Milly said below a whisper, her eyes not daring to look at Alec. She knew that he would be happy, she was just scared that he would see the fear in her eyes about being pregnant. She was scared that she would loose the baby. All the stress that had happened must not of been good for the child. She waited for any word that Alec may say.

He was worried. Why wouldn’t he be? His wife didn’t look like her usual healthy self and seeing her vomit only triggered more concern in his heart. He wanted to bring her to see what was wrong, but mainly to see for himself, what was wrong with her. Maybe it was the stress, stress that he was giving her. But, it wouldn’t cause vomiting, would it? Alec was completely oblivious to the obvious when it came to situations like these. He had heard Milly be sick every morning when she was carrying Sophia and Alec never gave a second thought about pregnancy.
“Milly are you sure?…” Alec asked with a frown, knowing that she wasn’t fine, far from it. Maybe she just didn’t want to be taken to St.Mungo’s by him. Damn it, what the hell was holding up their marriage if that was so, if she wanted nothing to do with him then what the hell was the point of staying emotionally tied? Alec didn’t want to think like that. He didn’t want to believe that he stood in the mist of his crumbling marriage.
He loved his wife, more than anything and it killed him to not be allowed near her, to not be able to kiss her or hug her, simply not to be with her. “And what did the doctors say?” Alec tried to persuade her to continue with the sentence, eager to here what this illness was, he only prayed it was nothing major and hopefully it was just a catch of the cold.
Pregnant. She was pregnant. Alec froze completely. This was the last thing he had expected. Hell, he’d only come to collect Sophia, not find out that his wife was having another child. How was he supposed to react, he was more in shock than anything else, even though he shouldn’t be. The two had been trying for a child for a months now, the timing that she fell pregnant was unfortunate though, very unfortunate.
Looking down at the floor for a few moments, he averted his gaze back towards Milly, “What do think of it? Are you keeping it?” He asked rather awkwardly, he was thrilled but he wasn’t exactly sure what Milly thought of it all, did she want to keep it? The timing was at the worst possible time ever. As far as Alec was concerned his wife wanted nothing to do with him and was on the verge of divorce, so why should she keep a child that would always keep them emotionally tied?

Milly did not expect the reaction she got from Alec. She was expecting him to jump with joy and tell her that everything would be alright. She did not expect him to ask her if she was keeping it! Did he not want the child? Milly wanted Alec to get excited about it so that she knew everything would be okay and so that she could get excited too. She did not know what to say. Her eyes gazed up at him with uncertainty and confusion.
"I would not have the heart to get rid of it! I wouldn't be able to live with myself. I'm happy I guess, its what I wanted. it could be the little boy I've wanted," Milly said, putting a hand on her stomach and looking at it. The little boy she wanted. She hoped with all of her heart that it was a boy. A cute little boy. What did Alec think of this? He didn't seem to happy about it. Maybe he didn't want another child.
"What do you think? Do you even want this child?" Milly asked, stepping away from Alec and looking at him intensely. Her legs felt weak and she needed to sit. Walking over to the table, Milly pulled out a chair and sat, not really caring if Alec followed her to sit.
"I mean, look at us, we are as dysfunctional as ever. Is this the right environment to raise a child in? I don't want our child to be raised in a mess like this. We need to sort this out Alec. So what do we do now?" Milly said in a weak voice, looking up at Alec with a serious expression. She didn't want to fight anymore nor did she want to cry anymore. She just wanted to be happy again. She wanted her perfect little life back. The one that was the envy of everyone she knew. The one that she was proud to be in. The one where she could trust Alec and not fear that he would cheat on her, even when he did.

[sze=1] Alec felt the lump in his throat; it was stopping him from saying anything that he might regret. He was pretty positive that the next question would be ‘Is this the right time’ but why wouldn’t this be the right time? They had been trying for a baby for months now, and finally she had fallen pregnant. Maybe the time was perfect, maybe this baby would bring them together. Milly’s first pregnancy, Alec wouldn’t let his wife of sight, they couldn’t have been possibly any closer, and that was literally.
As always, Milly was right. After all their efforts to conceive a child and when they had finally achieved their goal, what would they get out of getting rid of it, except guilt and regret? It would only be stupid to throw away everything he had ever wanted just because the timing wasn’t perfect. That was when it finally hit Alec, he wanted this baby, more than anything.
Alec took his time to look at Milly, she was seemingly having her doubts about his reactions, and so she should. He wasn’t jumping in the air and smiling in delight, instead he stood there in complete confusion. “What do I think?” He whispered under his breath, taking the chance to ask himself the question.
Walking over to her, Alec kneeled before her and took her hands in grasp of his, “I want you to have this baby. I want you Milly.” He whispered, looking at her in all sincerity. What he wanted was to keep the past in the past, and to continue with the future with his family, but was that even possibly anymore? “Yeah, we need to talk this out. I don’t want to live in the past anymore Milly, things have changed so bloody much since then. We have a family, I love you and I can’t possibly bear the fact of leaving. This week has to be the hardest of my life, I’ve forced myself to believe that you have only been gone on vacation or something, because I can not bear to think that you no longer want to be with me.” He sighed, and looked at her waiting for a response.

Milly sat there as Alec was silent and looked at the ground. Too many thoughts were going through her head at one time for her to comprehend them all at that moment. She unknowingly placed a hand on her stomach yet again, wishing that there was more of a baby bump. She wanted this child to come now. She wanted nothing more than to have that little baby boy wrapped up in her arms and making all of her problems disappear. She heard Alec say something to himself but didn't hear the actual words. However, the next thing she knew he was kneeling before her and taking her hands in his. Oh how their hands just seemed to fit so perfectly together. It was like they were made for each other.
"Don't you think that this week has been hard on me? I've spent the past nights getting barely any sleep, puking like crazy, and crying because I fear that I've lost my husband. Things have just been terrible. With all this stress and such I fear that I may lose the baby! I really do not want to lose him!" Milly said to Alec with tear filled eyes. She didn't know what she would do if she lost the baby. Hell she may even go into a depression of some sort. She knew that she had to cut the stress in her life down by millions.
"I've missed you, I really have and I want you to come back, I really do. Its just that how can I trust you? How do I know that Shiloh was the only one?" Milly said, expressing her concern and fear that there may be yet another mistress of some sort. She knew that the idea of was was ridiculous, but she still couldn't help but think that. After all, ever hear of the expression once a cheater, always a cheater?

This was a starting point, a new beginning and hopefully a fresh start for Alec and Milly. This past week had turned from great to bad and then back to great again. He was going to be a father to another child, whom he would love and devote himself to. But what had happened to them in a week usually happened to couples in the period of a few years, it just made it that more traumatic in their situation. Alec watched carefully, her actions where almost in slow motion and his eyes where glued to her hand that rested on her stomach. Silently, he felt his heart in his throat, slowly suffocating him.
“I know this week has been hard, it’s been hell for all of us. I miss home, I miss being with you and Sophia, I just want to be there for you again.” He explained to her, watching as her eyes quickly glistened over. “Maybe if we could try again, try to regain trust, try to make this work? I want my old life back Milly, I want it more than anything, and I want nothing more than to be with my family.” Alec said bringing her hand to his lips and he planted a small kiss on her hand.
“Because I am telling you that Shiloh was the only one. Our marriage can’t get any worse than it is now, so why should I hide the fact if I’ve been sleeping around? Shiloh was the only one, and she means nothing to me Milly. I came home to you everyday since we’ve been married, I’ve went to bed with you every night since then. You must believe this. I love you.” Alec whispered to her in all his sincerity.

Say it's true I'll never ask for anyone but you-------------------------------------------------
How could one man have such a hold on her? Milly did not know but as Alec was before her, practically begging to be let back into the family, Milly couldn't help but want him back. She had put in so much time and effort in this marriage only to let it go in a mere week? No, that was not right. She knew that she must fight through whatever this was and come out strong. She couldn't be thinking only of herself now. She had to think of the future of Sophia and her unborn child. It would be horrible if they had to grow up in a two different homes and not one with the entire family. That was not the life she wanted for them, even if she couldn't really trust her husband anymore. Her duty as a mother came before her happiness and what she wanted to do. She loved Alec, she really did, but she loved her children more. Children. As that word raced through Milly's brain she couldn't help but smile. She was going to have more than one child now. It was amazing for her. Her dreams were finally coming true.
"I miss you being here. I miss going to bed every night wrapped in your warm arms. I swear the bedroom has gotten colder without you there at night. Sophia misses having you here too. She wakes up in the morning asking if you will be home soon. I told her you were away at a tournament and wouldn't be back for awhile," Milly said to Alec, looking at him with soft eyes. As he kissed her hand she could feel her whole body grow goosebumps from his kiss. She wanted to kiss his lips so badly right now. Every part of her body ached for his tender kisses that made her feel like she was floating on a cloud of love.
"I love you too and because I love you so much I am willing to forgive you for this. I swear to you though, if you ever, and I mean ever, cheat on me again, Alec Lott, so help me Merlin I will make sure that the last thing you see is me shoving my wand down your throat," Milly said, loving at first but ending off very fiery and sexy. When Milly was angry or trying to act aggressive she couldn't help but pull of a really sexy look that made everyone's head turn. It was the Slytherin in her that was coming out.
