Secrets weren’t something that Dominique kept from people she cared about often. When it came to her emotions she was like an open book. Well she could hide her facial emotions but her eyes gave it away no matter what. And people who cared for her knew this about her. And before Anton came along Dom’s older sister definitely knew her the best. She told Vic everything. Vic could probably tell someone whose Dominique’s first crush was and everything that was after it. She never wanted to keep anything from her older sister since this was her only sister. But with Vic working and Dominique being at school she really hasn’t have time to talk with her. To explain everything. To explain how Jack Riddle wanted the whole family dead and how she had manage to fall in love and become engaged to Anton LeBlanc.
Early this week Dominique had sent an owl to her sister saying to meet her at The Three Broomsticks the upcoming Saturday. It would hopefully be fine to meet there with her sister. Nothing should go wrong with everyone that was there. Lily was dead. She wondered if Vic had heard the news about their youngest cousin. Or if she heard the rumors in the family on how Lily tried killing Dom multiple times? She was pretty sure Vic hasn’t or this meeting would have happened a long time ago. And after reading the Daily Prophet a few times she saw that there were more death eater attacks. Hopefully Jack hasn’t gone after Vic. If he did there was even more hell to pay. Going after Lily, herself and her older sister. That just didn’t settle well with Dominique Weasley soon to be LeBlanc.
And even though Dom needed to get her elder sister informed about the death eaters and Jack there was still bigger news. She didn’t know which one she was more nervous to tell her sister. Sure the death eater might be expected. They were Weasleys after all and trouble just happened to find them. But being engaged?! She didn’t know how her sister would really react. Before Anton everyone knew this Weasley wasn’t one for relationships. Yet Anton was just something special. Dom has sent letters to Vic before about Anton. So her sister wouldn’t be surprised she did have a boyfriend. However she did know fiancée was a whole different story.
Walking down the streets of Hogsmeade she knew Anton would probably be somewhere close by. He never left her side anymore even when she was going to see family. He didn’t trust Jack anymore than she did especially after what he did to his own family. But after kissing him good-bye and telling him she was going to see her sister who was an Auror in training he let her go. But looking up at the sky and seeing it was cloudy and there was probably no chance of the sun coming out he would be close by. Wouldn’t be in the tavern with them because he was just so big, in a muscular way, Dom would spot him right away. Probably in a building close by listening in or something. Since Jack did own this place.
In the Three Broomsticks it was crowded as usual. Plenty of students who came down here for a drink with their partner or a group of friends. Since it was just that close to Valentine’s day. But Dominique managed to find a booth and slide in to it waiting for her sister. A young waitress came over asking her what she wanted to drink and she said water. Dominique has given up alcohol. Even at times when she needed it. Sitting there Dom began fiddling with her hands not knowing how exactly this conversation would turn. Or which piece of information she should tell her sister first.

Victoire Weasley hadn't seen sleep in a little over a week. She missed it, almost as much as she missed Ted - who was out doing the undercover work that only he can to. His work had her stressed and worried about him. Nightmares of his defeat kept her awake at night in her lonely London apartment. Even the constant humming of passing muggle automobiles didn't help.
Earlier this week, Tory received a letter from her sister Dom, asking her to meet her on Saturday. She wrote a hasty reply that said she would try to pry herself from the Ministry. Things had gone a little crazy with the massive attack last week. It was probably a good thing Dominique asked to meet with her. Victoire had a pile of questions from her little sister. For one, not many escape the grasp of Jack Lestrange and live to tell about it - so she had heard. Vic still wasn't sure how it all happened, things happened so fast. That entire night was just another reason why Victoire wasn't sleeping.
Making her way from the Ministry to Hogsmeade, Victoire wondered what her sister hadn't told her. Number one on her list had to be about that creepy Lestrange guy. The other things, weren't nearly as important and/or Victoire didn't know about them. Victoire walked the streets of Hogsmeade, keeping her hand in her pocket, with a tight grip on her wand. She had become a bit...jumpy, to put it easily, since the whole attack happened. Since then, there had been several small attacks, putting Victoire on edge. She basically was a full fledged Auror now. She was sure that any day now she would be officially dubbed so. Tory was getting sick of waiting.
Victoire entered the Three Broomsticks, finding the familiar old pub to be crowded with Hogwarts students. Great... she thought sarcastically. She sighed, and looked from table to table until she found Dominique sitting alone at a boot. Victoire sat down with an exaggerated sigh. The lack of sleep was clearly evident by her appearance. All her usual features that were bright, her hair, eyes..they were almost dulled now. Plus, she just looked tired. Victoire was exhausted emotionally, mentally, and physically but she kept pushing herself through the days. It was all she could do.
"Long time no see," Victoire said to Dom, with a slight smile. If anything, she would put on a smile for her sister. She really had no idea just what Dominique wanted to tell her. Whatever it was, happy news, Victoire could stand. She would be glad to know that something or someone was keeping her younger sister happy. Dom's boy habit was really beginning to bother Tory. Of course if Dominique was pregnant or something - Victoire would have to kill her and be happy about being an aunt later. Tory bit her tongue, wanted to start out with investigative questions. No, she would let Dominique do the talking. First, she needed a drink. Tory flagged down a passing waitress and ordered a glass of red currant rum. Victoire didn't normally drink but, during the past week it helped a little.

Before Victoire entered the Three Broomsticks Dom was playing with her engagement ring. It was a beautiful ring and she wanted to show it off to her sister right away. This was something her sister should know. The whole family should know! But Dominique didn’t want to tell them all this through a letter. That wouldn’t work out with her parents. Or the rest of her family. She did feel horrible that some family knew and some of her friends knew. Yet the important people didn’t know. Like her own parents and her sister. Louis had found out. And he seemed to not like Anton. But that was okay with her for now. The whole family would learn to love him. Or at least like him a bit because he was sticking around.
Waiting for her sister Dom got to think about what she had to say even more. And replayed how each scenario might go. All of them ended with her getting screamed at by Vic at one point. There was really no avoiding that. And usually Dominique was good at talking to people. Yet she knew when her sister walked in she would freeze up. Not so much with the part about the engagement but more about how she got herself into this predicament with Jack Lestrange. Hopefully Vic knew nothing about him except what she has heard at the Ministry. Dominique wouldn’t know what to do if she found out that Vic had met Jack. Since she knew no good could come from that at all
It was easy to spot her sister when she looked around the tavern. There was just something that Dominique could always find her sister in a crowded room no matter what. Probably being with each other since birth had something to do with it. Yet the water that Dom was drinking almost came out of her nose seeing her sister looking the way she did. This wasn’t the Victoire she had remembered. This one looked rather tired and couldn’t see the veela that ran through her veins. It just looked like she was rather dull. Not shining at all or being like her sister. But the smile that Vic gave her she knew that this was indeed her sister. And Dom returned the smile. She knew that the news she would be giving her sister would not brighten her day too much.
Dominique knew she couldn’t hide the shock that her sister ordered rum. Usually it was Dom ordering the alcohol and her older sister ordering something non alcoholic. However that was switched around today. “It has been a while. Too long.” Dom said smiling. “What happened to you? You look like hell.” She said looking over her sister more closely. Yeah she knew Vic too well to know that her sister didn’t want to do this to herself. Again her mind wandered slightly to Anton. Well never slightly he always had a hold of her mind somehow. She wondered slightly if he was around. Ha! What kind of question was that? He was close by. He would never let her go into Jack Lestrange’s bar by herself with no protection. Even if her sister was an Auror.

Victoire had to force herself of act happy, despite her appearance. Was it that easy to tell? Victoire pushed back her blond hair and let out a deep sigh. "Ministry stuff, life, I can't exactly say," she said, looking around for that waitress. She needed that damn drink. Tory wondered if it was really safe for them to even be here. She glanced around, wondering if Lestrange was lurking in the shadows. A paranoid thought that was now in her head every where she went. Over the course of the week, Victoire had learned that Jack Lestrange was a very good businessman and owned several popular venues in the wizarding world - this one included. She ultimately now, felt uncomfortable and on edge just sitting here.
"So," Tory cleared her throat, trying to push all that out of her head. She put the questions she had for Dominique aside as well. She hoped, that over the course of this meeting, Dom would answer those questions without Victoire having to ask them. "Oh, Ted and I were back together but, who knows how long it's going to last this time," she said. Victoire couldn't really understand why they couldn't make it work. This on and off business was getting really old but, Tory just couldn't let go of him.
"Finally," she mumbled, as the waitress came and delivered her drink. Victoire drank down half the glass like it was water. She grimaced at the sharp taste and burn but, the rum wasn't half as bad as firewhiskey. It took off the edgyness a little bit but, not enough to make her feel comfortable. Tory still glanced around at the tables near her.

Probably someone who didn’t know Vic too well could see what Dominique saw when she looked at her sister. She of course noticed the differences right away while someone else probably just thought she looked tired. But with the sort of family they had and the veela blood it was hard to look that tired. Like how Vic was looking now. “What are they doing to you? The Ministry that is?” Dom asked because this would be her life in a year or so. She made the decision that she would become an Auror or be the one to bring down Jack Lestrange. Well the last was going to happen no matter what. Jack has done too many things to her and her family. She wouldn’t allow him to get away with all of this.
Hearing that Teddy and Vic were back together was a good thing. For a while Dominique hated that guy because of what he did to her sister. For a while he was blind on how much Vic liked him. Well maybe at the time Vic didn’t even know she liked him. Dom just knew her sister well enough to see how she acted around Teddy. Dominique now acted the same way when she was around Anton. “That’s great! I’m sure it will last this time around.” She said smiling at her sister. She really wanted her sister and Teddy to last. She noticed that Vic always seemed in a better mood when he was around. “Well I’m still with Anton. I sent you a few letters about him.” Dominique said guessing this was the way the secrets would begin to come out. “He’s a great guy. And I have fallen in love with him.” A smile came over her face that only came up when she talked about Anton. She was in love with him.
Dominique’s eyes went a bit wide seeing her sister drown the rum. That was a definite Dominique trait but Vic used to be the one telling her not to drink. So this was indeed a weird site for Dom to see. Something was definitely up with her sister. “Vic, what happened? When was the last time you slept? I know we haven’t talked in a while but something definitely happened.” Yeah she was pushing her sister a little but she wanted to know what was wrong. She didn’t want to bring up the engagement until she was sure that her sister was okay mentally.

“What are they doing to you? The Ministry that is?”
Victoire shrugged. She didn't really want to answer that question. It wasn't the Ministry's fault she was in the state she was in. "The Ministry isn't doing anything. There's been some...incidents lately and they've been keeping me extremely busy," she said, as if it was nothing. "That’s great! I’m sure it will last this time around.” Tory sighed. She was once again unsure if things would really work out. She could already feel them slipping back into their old way again. Vic looked glumly had her have full glass. She viewed it as half empty. It was how she felt. Her glass was half empty. Ted was draining away, she was draining away. The rest of her glass was full of questions - the questions she needed to ask her sister. She hated to have to do it but, it was crucial to know. If it was something importantly, she would have to alert her uncle as soon as possible. The department needed facts about Jack Lestrange for any upcoming attacks or worse, war. A small smile reached her lips. "What?"{/b] she said, slightly baffled. "Miss Dominique Weasley, in love? Are you, feeling okay?" Tory jokingly reached forward and pressed her palm against Dom's forehead. Victoire wanted to warn Dominique that at first, love was great but, sometimes it didn't pan out that way. Maybe it was her own relationship with Ted that had her suddenly looking at love sourly. Now, she understood why Ted could never commit to it.
Victoire hated this whole confidentiality part of the job. Plus, not to mention here of all places was not the best to discuss about what happened. "The last time I slept was a week ago, when I was at Ted's. Since then, I'm lucky if I get two hours a night," Vic looked at her glass. Without putting thought into it, she downed the other half of her glass. "I have to ask you something," Tory said, leaning forward slightly with a serious expression. She glanced around them. Victoire couldn't see anyone suspicious, even though she thought everyone was suspicious these days.
Vic opened her mouth but, the words got caught. This was harder to ask than she thought. Maybe it was because she was afraid of Dom's answers. "There was a..." Victoire paused, and decided to switch to using French. She just hoped her sister would remember the words. "There was an attack on muggles in London last week," she whispered. "I happened to be walking by so, I alerted the Ministry and stepped in to help. Dominique, someone wanted to kill me because I was your sister. I'd like to know why." Victoire hoped Dom could understand her use of French. It was funny, Victoire never really used the language often but, still remembered it all perfectly as their mother had taught them.

The Ministry was a place that Dominique hated most of her life. Even though most of her family worked there she learned to not really trust that place. So many death eaters probably worked there, under cover, and no one ever did anything about them. Knowing Jack she knew he would place people there. Once Dominique got a job there she would conduct her own investigation to see who was working and doing what. She knew that not everyone there could be trusted. The only people who she could trust were her family. And even Lily proved her wrong with that. But she knew she could trust Aunt Hermione, Uncle Harry and Victoire. Dom would have to trust them. It was the only thing she could do.
A laugh escaped her lips when her sister leaned forward and felt her head. If only Vic knew how she felt! “I’m feeling fine! Great actually.” She said laughing and smiling. This had to be the best she felt in forever. And Anton did this all to her. Dominique has been careful this whole time to hide her engagement ring but she did end up setting her hand down on the table. It was just by accident plus bringing up Anton to her sister made her feel giddy. Telling her only sister that she was in love was something great. She hoped this was how Vic felt toward Teddy because this was a great feeling. “I am in love with him. It’s crazy.” She said keeping the smile on her face. “And he loves me too, which makes it even better.”
Dominique heard about her sleeping and was slightly concerned for her sister. That wasn’t healthy. But before she could even comment she noticed how serious Vic got and then she said she had to ask a question. A million things went through her head on what the question could be. Nothing rushed through her mind about her asking about Jack. How could she even know that Dominique knew that man? That psycho killer? And then the switch over to French. It was great that she could speak that language fluently. And even if she didn’t use it as much as she used to she still understood her sister perfectly.
The color drained from her face when Vic spoke. He went after her sister? He went after Victoire! The hate for Jack Lestrange exploded in Dominique once more. And she thought about going upstairs to see if he was eve there. Do anything to harm him. That man was going to pay for doing this to her. “You learned to block your thoughts in Auror training, right?” Dom asked her sister keeping up with the French. “Cause if you didn’t learn how to. This might be a problem. And I am so sorry. I would have put you in more danger if I told you about him earlier.” She said looking at her sister trying to show her how truly sorry she was. Dominique never wanted to put her sister in that sort of situation. “I’m not going to say his name since he owns this place and probably has people around here. But I know of none who can speak French.”
Taking a deep breath she took some water wishing that it was alcohol. Something to calm her nerves. “You must have heard about Lily. He was the one who changed her into a death eater. I went after him because she told me about him first. I got him to trust me without even thinking that I would use what I learned about him later. He actually saved my life a few times. But anyways I got him to hate me pretty easily. He told me he was going to go into Grignotts and lock it up. Throwing the wizarding world into a havoc and wouldn’t open it until Hermione, Harry and Ron were thrown into prison. But that’s mum and dad’s job I wouldn’t have it! I yelled at him and got him angry. He then attacked me and told me he was going to kill everyone I love including my family. He wants me alone in this world. I got five nasty scars from him on my back. He isn’t human.” She said tears welling up in her eyes even though she has told this story many times now. Still it was a scary thought when your whole family might be killed.
“I already told Uncle Harry all of this. I don’t know what he has done with the information I gave him. But Victoire believe me I am sorry for what I have done. I want him dead more than anyone else out there.” Dominique said looking at her sister in the eye. She loved her sister and now for sure was going to go after Jack. No one could tell her she couldn’t go after him.

Victoire smiled a little bit more. At least one of them could say they were fine, great. She wished she could say the same about herself. Tory nodded, "It is better when the person you love, loves you back. Just promise me you won't...do anything stupid, okay? I mean, don't rush into anything - even if you are absolutely sure, just wait," she told her. It was more of a do-anything-stupid-and-I'll-kill-you tone. Victoire indeed did know exactly how her sister was feeling. She wished she could get herself back to the point soon.
“You learned to block your thoughts in Auror training, right?”
Victoire nodded slowly but stopped as Dominique said 'if I told you about him earlier'. The danger she already knew, and put on a brave face, even though she was shaking like a leaf on the inside. "You don't have to say his name, believe me, I know," she said, continuing with her French. Private conversations with Dom were about the only time Victoire ever used the language. Or, if she was really mad, she'd start sputtering things in french like their mum. This in turn annoyed Tory because it made her more like her mother. Victoire's eyes stung with tears at the mention of Lily. Her death came as a bit of a shock to Victoire. Yes, she knew her cousin was dead but, she didn't know the exact parameters. Vic felt partly at fault. Maybe it was because she was the oldest out of the Weasley/Potter clan and she felt an obligation to protect them all. Or, maybe it's because if she hadn't been so busy chasing Ted, she could have became a professor instead and could have been there. Victoire was rather speechless for many minutes. Everything fit together then. Everything Dom just told her, and everything Jack said to her that night. She frowned, not because she was mad at Dominique - as she was pretty sure she would have done the same thing herself. No, it was because her Uncle hadn't told her anything. You would think, since she was an auror (almost) that he would share that bit of information with her, to keep her gaurd up but, no. This was all new to her. "Well, Uncle did share it with me," she said. "What do you possibly think you can do?" Victoire was not going to let Dominique try to tackle this herself - maybe even at all. This was her little sister, she shouldn't be worrying about some psycho path with a vendetta against her. [/blockquote]

Did Victoire somehow know? Did her sister find out that she was engaged? Or was Vic just being the older sister? Hopefully that was the case. And so many times before have Dominique heard that threatening voice. But right now she knew Victorie was serious about her not rushing into anything serious. “Actually that’s another reason I wanted to talk with you.” Dom said looking up at her sister with a slight smile on her face. For some reason she continued to speak in French. Once she got started speaking it with her sister it took her a while to go back to English. “I know mum, dad and you have always warned me about love and told me how great it is. And everyone knows I was never one for love. Or even for relationships for a while.” Just ease into it. Hopefully Vic wouldn’t hurt her. “And Anton is someone special. I love him with my whole heart and I know he is for me. And,” she looked up at Vic at this point and showed her the ring that she had been hiding on her finger. “He proposed to me.”
A feeling of relief washed over her knowing that her oldest sister now knew she was engaged. It made her feel so much better to know there really weren’t any secrets between them. Well Dominique wasn’t keeping anything from Vic anymore. Like the same with the whole Jack Lestrange thing. Dom knew she would probably have to clarify that even more for her sister to even understand where she was coming from. And a laugh almost escaped her lips when she saw Vic was close to crying with the mention of Lily. “You don’t know about her either? Victoire believe me if Uncle Harry hadn’t killed her I was going to that night. Her mission was to kill me. And she tortured me in our own home over the summer. I have an ugly scar on my stomach from her. She wasn’t going to become good again. She went after Anton. She deserved everything that came her way.” And Dominique knew this was a totally different Dom than what most people saw. This was the girl that no one should dare mess with. Probably why Jack became friends with her. Saw the anger that was really inside of her.
“Sorry about that. I forget some of the family was close with her.” She said apologizing after looking back up at her oldest sister. Vic would come to her side over this right? Lily Potter, their cousin, has been trying to kill Dom since August. The count was up to around seven or eight times Dom’s life was put on the line. And it was all because of one man. Jack. She didn’t worry about Jack killing them both here. The Three Broomsticks was way too packed to kill everyone here. And if one a few people were here she would have not even come in here. Too many Hogwarts students were here. Someone would notice something. “What I plan to do is going to be a surprise to even me. I can’t have a plan. He knows me too well and will expect something from me that he thinks I will do.” And with that Dom gave her sister a smirk because she actually couldn’t wait until it was time for her to go after Jack.

“Actually that’s another reason I wanted to talk with you.”
Tory's eyes widened slightly. Her eyes flicked down upon her sister's abdomen and then back at her face. Victoire dearly hoped her little sister wasn't the p-word. Now was not the best time to bring a baby in to the world. Plus, Tory just couldn't imagine Dominique as a mother. She was too....unsettled, unprepared for the trials of parenthood. Victoire knew she equally wasn't ready. “He proposed to me.” Victoire breathed a sigh of relief. Oh, thank Merlin she wasn't pregnant. She was pretty positive that if she had been, Tory would have liked to smack some sense into Dominique for being so careless. Engagement, as unexpected as it was was manageable to deal with. Although, she wasn't fond of that idea either. A bit of jealously flared up in her out of no where. She was the oldest so, this was suppose to happen to her first - not her baby sister. That was a stupid, childish thought. Victoire smiled the best she could, given her current state. "Dom, I sure hope you know what you're doing," she said. Almost immediately Victoire breathed an apology. "No - I didn't mean it like that. I just...I'm happy for you, I really am," she ammended. Victoire felt like she missed something. She had been too busy wrapped up in the Ministry to take notice of her sister really. Tory felt guilty for that. It was just harder for her, being so far out of the loop of things. "...She wasn’t going to become good again... Victoire shook her head. She was more out of the loop than she thought. It could be because she was so wrapped up in her own problems, she ignored all others. She hated to believe that anyone could be permanently evil, though there were a few exceptions. But, Lily? Her baby cousin? No, Tory believed that Lily had been a strong girl. She could have came out of it...even if she did try to kill Dom as she had mentioned. "W-why didn't you tell me? No one ever tells me anything," she said. Victoire shook her head. "No, it's perfectly understandable. I wasn't as close to her as you think. Dom, I've been so...involved with my own things I haven't thought about anyone else," she confessed, careful not to look her sister directly in the eye. Everything just seemed so miserable about life. It sucked really especially for Tory. She hated being all dark and twisty, she preferred to be bright and shiney all the time. "He knows me too well and will expect something from me that he thinks I will do.” "Then don't do anything!" Victoire blurted out. "Leave it to the professionals. You can't expect to do it all on your own. You just can't, and I won't let you," she said with a small frown. This was something dangerious. Victoire didn't want Dominique to do something stupid and get herself killed. That event in itself would just kill Victoire. There was a bigger picture here. It wasn't just about Dominique, it was about protecting everyone in the entire world. It seemed to big of a job for just one person who had yet to really experience life. [/blockquote]

There was no way in this world that Dominique had expected Victoire to be overly joyful about the engagement. She actually thought that her sister might slap her or so something. Cause a bigger scene than the one that was happening. She really did know that maybe Vic thought she would be pregnant but Dom has always been careful when it came to that. This girl really has been around a few times so she was smart enough. But she didn’t even know if she could get pregnant now. Anton was a vampire and well he was dead wasn’t he? The thought of that did bother Dom a bit since she knew he was very much alive. She could never consider him dead even though he was different than a regular human. That would be another thing she would have to explain Vic. That her fiancé was a vampire.
The first words out of her sister’s mouth were better than she expected. No swearing or yelling just a warning. And with that warning Dominique took it to heart. That was her sister’s advice for her. She returned the smile her sister gave her. “Vic, to be honest I have no clue what I’m doing. And that’s the fun part of it. I’m in love with him and that’s all I need to know. I’ve never felt like this toward another person. And I know I never will. That is why I agreed to marry him.” Now the biggest smile was on her face talking about how much she loved him. “You will have to meet him. He’s the sweetest guy out there. He has an amazing smile, the strongest guy I know, a vampire, I feel the safest in his arms and he treats me like a princess.” Hopefully Vic zoned out once she knew that Dominique was going to go on and on about her fiancé. She didn’t want to tell Vic that he was a vampire but it was better now than later.
Dominique didn’t blame Vic for being out of the loop. Most of the things have happened at Hogwarts and Lily and Dom really didn’t get their matters to the outside world. Except Lily reported to the death eaters hoping one day to report Dom’s death. She was thankful that never came. “Why didn’t I tell you? I was being hunted down by my baby cousin. I thought I could handle it. And I think I did a pretty good job. I’m alive with only one scar from her.” She could only imagine what Victoire thought of her now. Dom knew she probably looked heartless but when your own cousin wanted you dead and you saw that green light coming toward you. Something happened. Something snapped. “It’s all right Vic. I was going to come to you if anything got out of hand. But each time Lily came after me I ended up fine. The only time things got out of hand was when she died. If I would have told you or the rest of the family they would have made us ‘talk’ or something like that. Nothing was going to fix our relationship.”
Do nothing? How could Vic even propose she do that? Jack went after Victoire because of her. Dominique started this and she was going to finish it. Let Jack know she was going to come after him. Let his imagination go wild. He was the one who did this to her. He made Lily the way she was and that made Dom different. He created this and he would have to deal with it. “The professionals will act professional! That is how people are going to be killed!” Dom told her sister. The professionals would try taking him down and bring him to court. Or Azkaban. He controlled the dementors. “I’ve told Uncle Harry about him. That’s not doing anything on my own. I told you about him. But I’m not going to sit back and do nothing. Then I really am a sitting duck for him.” Jack was still coming after her no matter what. So why should she do nothing to him? “It will be good training for what I go through next year.” Yes, Dom has made the decision to become an Auror.

“You will have to meet him. He’s the sweetest guy out there. He has an amazing smile, the strongest guy I know, a vampire, I feel the safest..."
Victoire resolved to be happy for her sister. She was, really glad that Dominique's relationship didn't appear to turn out as hers. Complicated. Her eyes doubled in size though hearing the word - vampire. Her baby sister was now engaged to a vampire? Scratch that. That complicated things a bit. Victoire shook her head and bit her lip from preventing herself from saying something harsh. She honestly had nothing against vampires, never coming across or meeting on yet in her lifetime. Still, the idea made her weary. Her immediate, over-protective thoughts were to talk Dominique out of it. It sounded like a horrible idea, marrying a vampire. Did that mean Dom wanted to be one, too? Victoire certainly didn't like the idea. She would be growing older each year and what, her sister would stay seventeen, eighteen or something forever? Dominique would have to go through the trials and pains of watching every single member of their family die. All to be with this Anton forever? Family was something Victoire could never sacrifice just to be with someone forever. She knew it was something she could never go through. Victoire, however, knew she couldn't say anything without being a hypocrite. She knew exactly how Dominique felt, as she felt the same about Teddy - despite how ridiculously complicated they made things. The one thing that ultimately worried Victoire, was their parents' reaction to all of this. Her mum would indeed be happy with a family wedding, and probably plan out the entire thing in a matter of a week. "Have you told mum and dad?" she asked, trying to remain cheerful and push all the negatives away. “It’s all right Vic. I was going to come to you if anything got out of hand... Victoire frowned and shook her head slightly. "No, it's not all right. Dom, you should have told me - or someone from the beginning. It wasn't something that involved just you. It invovled the entire family. Families help each other - no matter what the given situation," she said, fusteration ringing clear in her voice. Tory was really just confused. She was confused about how just barely a year or two ago all aspects of life were simple, peaceful. Now, everything was complicated and confusing. Her cousin was a Death Eater, and now killed at the hand of her father. Her relationship with Ted was just....something else. She'd had a run in with possibly the most powerful wizard since Dumbledore, the worst wizard since Voldemort. Her sister was engaged, to a vampire, and she was also being haunted by this Lestrange - who practically appeared to own half of wizarding London! Yes, life wast just full of unicorns and rainbows. “The professionals will act professional! That is how people are going to be killed!” Victoire rolled her eyes. She knew the professionals, including herself, weren't just doing nothing. Why else would she be working herself to death? Because, they were using every possible effort to deal with what was going on with Lestrange and the Death Eaters. "People are already dead!" she said, her voice rising a little. Good training? Victoire looked at Dominique a little baffled. "What do you mean, what you go through next year?" she questioned. Oh no, Victoire shook her head slightly. Dominique didn't want to be an Auror too, did she? It seemed to be a family trend, and Victoire did think her sister would make a good Auror but, the job was just too dangerous. Who was to say they would even take new trainees next year? Sure, the more Aurors the better but, with all that was going on, who knows what could happen. [/blockuqote]
