Settled in at her desk, Victoria was tired of grading papers and she rubbed her eyes as she set down her quill and looked at the door. She saw her father and she smiled to him. “Hi Daddy,” she greeted. He nodded to her and then took a breath as he walked into the room. She knew that he was going to start talking about things with her when he gave her that look and took that deep breath. “What is it, father?” she asked him, a little concerned.
“Well… I was thinking about things and I have got to find a new career. As much as I love being the entertainer and the con-artist… it’s just time for something new. Do you think that your school would take me on as a new professor? I could teach...” he qued. She sighed and thought for a moment. She did not know about any openings. Any safe openings. She had the only class in the dungeons. She looked over at him and gave him a light smile. “Well… I was thinking about taking some time off. Maybe I can recommend you to be the stand-in professor for me…” He nodded and thanked her. He walked around behind the desk and kissed her head. It was his good night. Then he turned around and walked out of the room.
She smiled and thought for a moment and then looked at the clock. She had sent a letter to Ber, inviting him over just for a glass of blood and to talk. She sighed and waited, as she put away her papers and quills.

Beryx had been on his way for his evening hunt, when a familiar owl swooped down, dropping a quick letter into his hand. As he read over the words, a sigh and a roll of his eyes was his only reaction to what was another summons. For some reason or another, his potions professor and current mentor of sorts, had left Hogwarts for a minor leave. Now she apparently wanted him to come visit. Well at least she promised a meal when he arrived. He was already hungry..he wasn't sure how much longer he could take.
So as quickly as possible, Beryx left the grounds in a run, and because of his vampire speed, he arrived at the manor within minutes. Fairly certain she would be in her study, he slipped through one of the windows and down a corridor to two until he reached the said destination. Still seeing no point in knocking, he walked in and leaned against the doorway, much like his cousin might had in his place, "You rang? Don't tell me my last exam reeked. It's not my fault my snake skin wasn't fresh.." He raised an eyebrow with the same overconfident look as his eyes focused on the woman in the chair.

She could hear him all the way from the gates. She stood for a moment and put away some books calmly. She knew that he was expecting a lecture from her, but she really just wanted to talk with him about whatever. She had not seen him for a while and she really did miss him. She had wondered how his hunts were going, and how he was doing socially at the school. It was going to be hard when he would have to tell girls that he couldn't hang out during the day. He would have to say that he burns way to easily and would have to stay inside, or something of the sorts. She smiled lightly, remembering when she had to tell people that growing up. And she still did.
She turned to see him walking into the room talking about how his snake skin was old and how it wasn't his fault. She chuckled lightly. "Ha, you had one of the better scores in the class, Ber. And that's not what I called you here for. Take a seat by the fire and I'll get us some refreshments." she turned back around and opened her cubboard behind her desk. She had vials of potions and blood and wine, but she knew that he was hungry so she grabbed a bottle of blood and two wine glasses. She walked back over to the fire place and sat down on the arm chair next to him. She set the glasses on the table between them and poured the wine. Taking her own in her hand, she set the bottle down and took a sip. "How is school going for you, Ber?"
