It had been two weeks since her first meeting with Harry Potter. Since then, she had seen him every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for occlumency lessons when she would of had her Defense Against the Dark Arts class. So far they had been going alright. Kelsey had managed to close her mind for a total of twenty five seconds now. She had revealed a lot of memories to Mr. Potter, but none that would embarrass her like the first day of lessons.
Kelsey had finally told James about her being a horcrux and about being raped. It was hard for her, but once she started to speak, the words just seemed to float out of her mouth with ease. He was supportive, to the delight of Kelsey, and she was beginning to be happy again. The rape memories were fading, she was mending the relationships in her life, and she was finally taking matters into her own hands and doing whatever it takes to get rid of this horcrux. She had been reading up on them a lot lately and knew a fair deal on them. Soon, she would find a way to get rid of it, without dying.
Kelsey had a smile on her face as the professor dismissed the class. It was time for yet another one of her famous lessons with Mr. Potter. Kelsey rushed up to her dorm room to change out of her school uniform so she wouldn't draw suspicion on her in the village. After getting dressed, Kelsey made her way to her father's office and used the floo network to sneak off campus. Kelsey had used the floo network to transport herself to one of her father's friend's house who he had arranged to let Kelsey come in and out of the house.
As Kelsey made her way to the Three Broomsticks, she couldn't help but hum a bit to herself. Finally her good mood and happy nature were starting to come back to her. Kelsey entered the pub but did not stop and sit at a table. She headed up the stairs to the back room where Harry and herself had had their first meeting. As she entered the room she noted that Harry had yet to arrive. Usually he was there before she arrived. Shrugging, Kelsey sat down on a chair and began to wait. Hopefully she wouldn't have to wait for him too long.

Harry's shoes clicked softly along the stone cobbled path to the Three Broomsticks, though he took no notice in the noise. He was on his way to another occlumency session with his son's wife, a girl who was a Horcrux to Bellatrix herself. His mind didn't focus on this though, nor on the lesson that was soon to take place. Instead, his head swam with grief for the first time in almost a week.
See the thing is, Harry had become too busy with his quest to find this boy and the upcoming war to realize that his daughter was dead. His precious Lily. And on top of that, she died at his own hand. He now pressed the door to the Three Broomsticks open and made his way to the bar, motioning for a drink. The old lady, whom he had originally came to talk to on his first visit, ushered him a glass of firewhiskey quickly and quietly. He took the drink in his hand and knocked it back, feeling the warm surge of relief that it provided, though it was false relief and wouldn't last more than a minute.
He laid down a sickle, thanked the lady, then made his way upstairs, taking his coat off at the same time. He paused for a moment at the door of the room where him and Kelsey had first began, and soon after continued their lessons every other day. She had come far, very far. As his hand touched the knob, he prayed that today wouldn't be the day she got into his mind and saw what had happened.
He now pressed the door open and saw her sitting in a chair. "Glad to see you're on time." He said with a sharp smile, trying to lighten his own mood. Closing the door, he hung his coat on the back and then turned to face her.

Kelsey sometimes wondered what life would be like if she wouldn't have went to Hogwarts. See, when it came time for choosing a school for Kelsey her parents were dead set on sending her to Beauxbatons in France. They wanted Kelsey to be skilled in the art of charming men and getting what she wanted out of them. However, at the last minute, for whatever reason, they had decided to send Kelsey to Hogwarts. If Kelsey wouldn't of went to Hogwarts, she wouldn't of been exiled from her family, she wouldn't of married nor met James, she wouldn't of been raped, hell she might even be a death eater isn't of confused like she was. Though her life would of probably been more simpler if she had went to the other school, Kelsey was pretty happy that she went to Hogwarts but only for one reason, James.
Kelsey smiled widely as Mr. Potter stepped through the door. These occlumency lessons were the only thing that was providing her with something to look forward to each day. She loved pushing herself to the limits of her power and seeing what she could do. Each day to her was a new learning experience that could help her become a better and more powerful witch. Kelsey knew she had to perform to the best of her abilities if she was going to survive in this world.
"Glad to see you actually showed up. I got kinda worried when I came here and you were not here yet. Thought I got the days wrong for a second," Kelsey said with a smile on her face and ending it with a little laugh. There was now more colour in her cheeks and her bruises were almost gone. She was beginning to heal, to her contentment of coarse. People were starting to grown suspicious of why she was always wearing turtle necks and scarfs. However, Kelsey knew they probably thought that she was hiding hickeys that James had given her or something.
"How are you today, Mr. Potter?" Kelsey asked, seeing it fit to make some small talk before they dived into the lesson. Over the weeks, Kelsey and Mr. Potter had really gotten to know each other better. Kelsey was glad of this, not wanting him to hate her since she was technically his daughter-in-law. Kelsey waited for Mr. Potter to speak as she sat down in the chair, playing with her wedding ring on her finger. Kelsey could never really sit still. She always needed to me moving her hands, or her legs, and playing with something. It was like she needed to be constantly on the go.

Harry smiled a little more natural now as Kelsey spoke. He took notes in her color and skin texture, seeing the bruises were now faded blue instead of the nasty blackish-blue they had been in previous encounters. She seemed happier too, which of course was a great thing for a girl who went through so much in so little time. "No, I had some unexpected business at the office, so that's why I am a tad bit late." It wasn't a lie. He did have to take care of a few things before he came, he just stretched the truth a little to cover up his drink downstairs.
He was now pulling over his own little chair to sit in for the moment as she asked how he was. The question kinda hit him hard and sent his mind wandering a bit. Did she know? He looked up and at her for a moment, seeing the well placed smile on her face. It didn't seem like she did, but of course that could be the smile of sympathy. No, he had seen that smile all through Hogwarts when he was younger, people feeling bad for his parents and all. This was a smile of happiness. He swallowed hard and then spoke. "I'm doing well, dear. I can see you're doing well." He gave a smile and gestured towards the bruises a bit.
He knew he was going to have to take her to the next level today, but he prayed that just this once she wouldn't get him back. He cleared his throat and loosened the tie around his neck before pulling out his wand. "Today," He began. "we will be going to the next level, seeing that you are nearing the 30 second mark, which will by you time to act against your opponent during a direct attack like I have been demonstrating onto you. Now you will be able to use any and all ways, magic and physical, to try and stop me from getting into your mind." He chuckled a bit as he stood and now pushed the chair away.
Taking out his own wand, he held it tightly in his hand, giving her a few moments to gather herself and her strategies. "Ready?"He asked, and once she gave the signal he raised his wand to her head from across the room and said, 'Legilimens'

Kelsey could sense that there was something wrong with Harry. He didn't seem like the same person he was when she first met him. Kelsey knew that whatever he was going through was none of her business. If he wanted to talk about he would of and she would not try and bring out whatever was bothering him. If it was something really serious she would surely hear about it from James. After all, they did share everything with each other.
"Yeah I am! I feel so much better than what I did. I am so glad I don't have to cover up my neck anymore," Kelsey stated with a huge smile on her face. She was happy to have her life starting to return as normal as it could. she still avoided seeing Jack in the castle though. Over the weeks she had observed where he tended to go and made sure that she did not venture anywhere he went. Kelsey saw that Harry was ready to get down to business and start the lesson. She grabbed her wand and held it in her hand. She had read that if you attack a person with the same legilimus spell that the thoughts would transfer and she thought she would try it out, just to see if she could do it if she couldn't hold off the spell.
Kelsey nodded her head as he asked if she was ready and braced herself for the spell. She cleared all thoughts out of her head and heard Harry mutter the spell. As it hit her all she could see was nothing. Her mind was working on overtime and nothing was showing up. She fought and fought, not wanting the spell to break through. Twenty two seconds went by and Kelsey managed to fight the spell off. She was determined to reach thirty seconds. However, Kelsey couldn't fight it any longer, and her thoughts began to seep through her mind.
"NO!" Kelsey screamed, frustrated that she let the memory slip. Her mind raced and stopped at a memory of her and James. They were in the room of requirements late one night and both completely wasted. There were bottles of alcohol scattered everywhere and a bed in the middle of the room. Kelsey knew what this memory was. It was her and James' first time having sex. Kelsey definatly didn't want Mr. Potter seeing this. James had begun to take clothing off of Kelsey as they kissed each other on the lips, neck and just about everywhere. He had managed to get Kelsey's top off in the heat of passion, now going for the pants. Panicking, Kelsey raised her wand and pointed it at Mr. Potter.
"Legilimus!" Kelsey cried. Her thoughts began to race away, the last thing both Mr. Potter and Kelsey saw was James pulling out a condom from the room. The thoughts were now changed into Mr. Potter's mind and Kelsey waited to see what they were.

Harry was glad she was happy, and as her voice rang out the answer, he could tell that she was finally finding peace in it all. He wished he could do the same for his own life, but that was of no importance now.
Kelsey situated herself in the chair, pulling out her wand and waiting for his attack. The jet of white light rang out from Harry's wand and onto her head, the world around him now slowly pulling into a mixture of darkness and light. He could feel her will through the spell as she tried her best to keep him out of her thoughts. The world violently shifted back to normal for a few seconds and then he saw her jerk her head back and scream, and the darkness took over instantly.
It was the same as before, first darkness, then light. Black fog poured from an invisible ceiling, spilling out an old room littered with bottled of liquor. Then two figures emerged, the first he knew was Kelsey, though he could only see the back of her. The second and boy, standing tall with his arms wrapped gracefully around her. They were kissing. Harry took a few steps forward and then his face cleared up and he almost pulled himself out. It was his son James.
Turning his head as if to give some privacy, Harry looked around the other parts of the room, praying that the memory would switch. Then there was a flash, and for a brief moment, Harry though he pulled himself out on accident, then he was standing in his place, wand aimed at the girl, back in the room. She panted and raised her wand, and he knew what was coming. "Legilimus!" Her voice rang and he couldn't fight it. The darkness swelled and he felt a surge of pain through his body as he let out a yell and crumpled to the floor.
He was standing now outside a house. His house for that matter. It was dark and cold, and he watched as he saw himself walk up the driveway, stopping for a brief moment to clear his thoughts. Tears slipped from his eyes as the scene changed to him on the doorstep, his wand out in a flash and thrashing down the door, running to the back bedroom, Lily's room. There was a jerk and the scene shifted again, now Lily was on the floor, wand raised to a blonde headed girl who stood over her. Dom. Green light flashed and Dom was sent backwards from Harry's own spell.
Tears slipped violently from his eyes now as he tried to make the memory stop, but couldn't. He watched as he told Dom to go home, though the words weren't audible to him. He watched as his own face lit up with rage and furry as Lily stood up, wand raised at her own father.
"I'd rather die then be your daughter!"
Then there was a flash of green light, and the exploding of the wall, and Harry slipped quietly back into the room, crumpled on the ground. "Lily.." he breathed softly through the tears.

Before Kelsey knew it, she was standing inside Harry's memory and watching as he entered his house. Kelsey had never been to the Potter household before but she could sense that something was happening that shouldn't be. Suddenly she began to watch in horror as Dominique and Lily fought. What would possess these two to fight like this? Whatever it was it looked to be nasty and she watched as Harry tried to break it up. Then Lily had said something that sounded like something Kelsey would have said to her father a couple of months ago. What happened next rendered Kelsey speechless. Kelsey stood there and watched as the famous Harry Potter killed his daughter.
Kelsey felt herself being pulled out of the memory and back into the real world. She sat on the chair, staring at Harry with disbelief in her eyes. Her brain could not process what she had just saw. Kelsey moved a hand to her hair and pushed it out of her face, trying to gain some kind of words to say. Kelsey really wished that she hadn't seen that. Kelsey didn't know what to think. Should she frown upon what Mr. Potter did? Should she be glad? What would she had of done if she was in that position. That situation there seemed more of something that would of happened between Kelsey and her own father not Harry Potter and his daughter. It was like they were living in an alternate universe or something!
"I am so sorry! I really shouldn't of done that. It was just that i had read about it in a book and then I was so frustrated that I couldn't keep my mind close and before I knew it I had cast the spell," Kelsey said, feeling that somehow she owed Mr. Potter an apology. It was clear that Mr. Potter did not want Kelsey to know what had happened. That was probably why he was so different today. Hell, anyone would be a mess if they had killed their own child. Kelsey felt as though she should do something. Looking at Mr. Potter, Kelsey got up from chair and walked over to him, embracing him in a hug.
"You are not a bad person for what you did. Lily was out of control and you had no choice. Everything is going to be okay," Kelsey said in a calm, nurturing voice. Kelsey continued to embrace him in a hug, trying to show him that she would be there for him through this difficult time. After all, eh had been there for her when she was raped so now it was her turn to be there for him.

It wasn't Kelsey's fault at all for the vision to come up. Actually, below all the pain that was surfacing itself for the time being, he was quite proud that she had managed to attack back during the whole charade. He couldn't show that now though, for the face of fear was the mask he wore at that moment, and as he laid in the floor, crumpled like a soft tissue, he felt weaker than he ever felt in his life. He never meant to kill Lily. Everything was getting slammed onto his plate too fast for him to handle. Ron and Hermonie knew well that he could handle a lot of stress at one time, and your daughter saying she was pregnant and a Death Eater was sure to bring on a whole new ballgame than Voldemort had ever planned of.
He started to pull himself up off the ground, and at about that time the sound of soft footsteps rang, and then he was being pulled into the arms of the young girl who had witnessed his most terrifying memory. He couldn't make out what she was really saying at first, nor could he see through the soft flow of tear that fell down his cheeks and polluted his eyes. If only Lily had listened. If only.
Now his mind started to clear as the girl continued her hug, holding on to him in a soft manner. "You are not a bad person for what you did. Lily was out of control and you had no choice. Everything is going to be okay," She had told him softly and he gave a half grunt, half smirk. "Easy for you to say. You didn't kill your own child." With that he stood up, pulling away from the girls arms and leaving her sitting where he had been on the floor. He reached over and pulled up the chair he had sat in when he first arrived at the small room, and sat in it once again, head hung low, hand running through his hair to try to provide him some sort of relief, though none came.
"I didn't mean to kill Lily. I'm not good when under a lot of stress, and she dumped it on me by telling me she was a Death Eater. I offered her protection, offered her everything in the world, and she still slapped my hand away..." He shook his head a bit.
"I'd rather DIE than be YOUR daughter!" His mind rang out in echo.

Kelsey really didn't know what to do or say to make Harry feel better. It was such an awkward situation to be in. She didn't want to say the wrong thing to make him feel worst. Kelsey knew that this was none of her business. Hell, she didn't even want to know what happened. If only she could go back in time and stop herself from using that spell. However, she couldn't and now she had to face a broken Harry Potter. She had never really seen a man cry before she had seen the Harry Potter cry. Her father never showed much emotions towards her before, except for anger, disappointment, and sometimes love. As Harry moved from her arms she felt a feeling of rejection as she stayed on the floor, watching him grab a chair.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't of said that. Merlin knows what is going through your head. I never know what to say in these situations. Usually its me crumpled on the floor crying. Its kinda strange when its not me," Kelsey said awkwardly, getting up of the floor and grabbing her chair. She pushed it a little closer to Harry just so they wouldn't be talking a long distance from each other. She listened to him as he spoke of Lily and what had happened. It reminded her so much of her relationship with her own father.
"I am going to say something, and it is coming from a daughter herself who doesn't get along with her father too well and was in a situation like Lily was. See, Lily made up her mind about everything way before you got involved. I've seen what the Death Eaters can do, and I have experienced it. Hell they almost had me on their side. They.. They can change a person. The girl you killed, that was not your Lily. Your Lily died a long time ago. They brainwashed her and made her into a different person, like they tried to do with me. There was nothing you could of done to stop this. Lily must of wanted this because she would of done whatever she wanted to. If you hadn't of killed her, by the look of things, she would of killed you. Now I know none of this can make up for the fact that your daughter is gone but she is in a better place now. She would have left your house that night and went straight back to those Death Eaters and ruined her life. She is safe now. You are a good father! You just lost your way," Kelsey said with a small reassuring smile. She really hoped that what she said to Mr. Potter would help him see that he was not a terrible person.

"No no no, You said the right thing." Harry told the girl, giving a little wave of his hand as if to dismiss the trouble that was seeping from him onto her. "It's just been hard." He sighed a bit, playing around with the wedding band on his finger. Ginny had taken the thing well, almost too well, and it still surprised him how she could still look him in the yes and say I love you. Maybe it wasn't his fault. Maybe it really was for the best, even though it meant killing off a branch of the family tree.
His thoughts didn't clear completely, but well enough to hear the girl's words clearly as she spoke. Her words rang clear in his head as they provided some sort of comfort. Kelsey was right. The Lily he raised and cherished died out a long time ago. Part of him accepted that, but the other half clung to the "what-if" side of him, thinking about how things could have been different if he had opened his eyes sooner rather than later. "You're right." He finally spoke up as he sat up straight. "As much as I hate to say it, you are right. Lily died along time ago, I just wish that I could have maybe done something to stop it back then."
He gave a sharp sigh as he reached in his pocket, taking out the glasses that were once scattered on the living floor, now fixed, onto his face. Clearing his throat a bit he stood up and went over to his wand, picking it up off the ground. "Shall we continue?" He said giving a soft smile. He wasn't fully closed to Lily's death, but he was starting to ease up now.

Kelsey nodded, glad that she didn't say something bad. She understood that it would be hard for Mr. Potter to deal with. Kelsey couldn't imagine losing a child. It would be like a part of you dying. The thought that Mr. Potter had to go through this really did sadden the seventeen year old. She wondered how his wife was taking all this. Its one thing for a father to lose a child, but for a mother to lose a child would be devastating. That mother carried that child inside of her for nine months. She nurtured and cared for the child only to have it die. The attachment alone would be enough to cry for. Kelsey had to shake these thoughts out of her head.
Kelsey was really happy that some of what she said really helped Harry. She never thought of herself as the type to give advice but now that she was giving it, it felt really nice. Usually she would be the one t receive the advice and it was nice to be the giver for a change. She sometimes felt selfish because people were constantly trying to help her with her many problems. She loved the feeling she got for helping a person out.
"Everything is going to be fine, Mr. Potter. Don't worry about it. I'm happy that I could help you out a bit," Kelsey said to Harry, a warm smile on her face that showed she was truly happy. Kelsey was quite surprised that Harry was so eager to get back into the lesson, though she couldn't blame him for wanting to do so. Kelsey often found herself changing the subject when she didn't want to stay on a topic any longer. She didn't have any reason as to why they should continue the lesson. After all, Kelsey really wanted to perfect this skilled called occlumency.
"I'm ready when you are," Kelsey said, clearing her mind and waiting for Harry to begin. Once she felt that familiar feeling of the spell being cast, Kelsey did all she could to prevent the spell form effecting her. All Kelsey could see was a blank nothing around her. The seconds passed by, each one growing more and more stronger to try and break through Kelsey's mental wall. Kelsey was almost there. She was almost at that 30 second mark. 28 seconds had went by and Kelsey could feel herself accomplishing her goal. Then, however, Kelsey's wall broke, just before she reached her goal and memories began to swarm before her eyes.
"NO! Fuck! I almost had it!" Kelsey bellowed as the memories zoomed passed her and landed on one. This memory was one of Kelsey just after the back to school dance. She sat in her dorm room, crying her eyes out with an angry expression on her face. Her hand scribbled in the pages of her diary as she wrote over and over again the same phrase that could be clearly seen. I hate James Sirius Potter. Kelsey tried and tried to clear her mind but she couldn't. All she could focus on was the tear stained pages of her diary. She hated that memory. It was when James had broken her heart.

A few moments of silence passed between the two as Kelsey gathered her things and headed back to the chair. Harry stood there, trying to clear his mind and place all the thoughts about Lily as far back into his mind as he could, just in case the girl happened to break through once again and weasel her way back into his mind. Never-the-less though, he was still impressed by Kelsey's effort and use of spells.
Kelsey spoke up after a few minutes. His eyes flew over to the chair where she sat, saying she was ready when he was. He gave a sharp little nod and backed up a few paces, then raised his wand in the air. He gave a little flick and the same spell he had been shooting at her was cast, hitting her square in the chest. At first Harry thought she caved on the first try, watching as his world gave way to darkness. It snapped back abruptly though as he heard the sounds of stress as she tried her best to manage under the spell. 15 seconds, 20 seconds. Harry counted softly in his head, all the while still keeping his spell up to par.
28 seconds and then he heard her scream out a few choice words and his world went black. Fog ensued from the invisible ceiling once again, spilling out onto a blank canvas, the world forming around him. Four post beds rose from the fog, and on one laid Kelsey, her eyes and cheeks tears stained, her hand scribbling fast into a book. He moved closer to see what she was writing and found the words, I hate James Potter, scribbled over and over again in the book.
After reading that he backed up and pulled himself out of the memory, lifting the spell at once. His world returned back to normal and he stood as he watched the panting Kelsey come back to reality. "Almost had it!" He said with a smile, but it faded quickly. "May I ask what the hell my son did?" He acted mad, but he wasn't. He just wanted to see the look on her face from his little joke.

Kelsey felt so frustrated with herself that she couldn't reach 30 seconds. She was right there, only two more to go. Why was this so hard to do? It was like those memories loved to flood back into her mind and ruin her chances of reaching her goal. Each night, Kelsey had been clearing her mind in order to improve herself in this skill. She would not quit until she had accomplished her goal.
"Ugh! Why can I not get to thirty seconds?! I was there, just two more seconds! Its so mind blowing," Kelsey said to Harry, her frustration ringing through her voice as she put her head in her hands. She wanted to achieve this goal so badly. All this work she had been doing felt like it was a waste if she could not get to thirty seconds. Maybe her body just wasn't mentally ready to go the full mile. Thirty seconds was key. If she could block her brain for that long then she could ward off most attackers. After thirty seconds most attackers will grown bored and know that they cannot get inside the memories.
"He kissed my best friend when him and I were suppose to be on a date with each other at a dance. That's the night that the horcrux first took over me," Kelsey said to harry, memories of the night flooding her brain. Kelsey remembered how she felt the moment she saw Alyson and James kiss. The horcrux had saw it as a way to take over her. She became a different person that night, a dark and scary person. All she wanted to do was kill James and Alyson. She had become vile and wicked. Basically, she was just like a mini Bellatrix. She had taken a liking to wearing black dresses and wild hair. Luckily, the same person who had sent the horcrux to take over was the one who helped her come out of it. The love that James had shown towards her was the thing that made the horcrux leave and since she had started loving James, it never came back.

The room went quiet for a brief moment as Kelsey was pulled back into her own mind, instead of the memories they were revisiting one by one. She was going great, and Harry was still very impressed. Once she reached the 30 second mark though, there would be little more Harry could really teach her (assuming that at that point she would have enough time to react to a situation under the spell).
Kelsey's voice spoke up now, telling him how frustrated she was with it all. He chuckled and gave a kind smile, thinking about his younger self and how he would get the same way after these lessons, though she wanted to participate in them and he didn't. "It's quite alright, Dear." Harry said, now stepping into his father figure shoes. "You've done better than I would have ever imagined myself doing when I was your age." It was true. Harry didn't want the connection to close. He felt like he had a way to reach inside the enemy's mind and know exactly what he was doing at the time, and where at on top of that. Though, Harry got arrogant and forgot that Voldemort could do the same back, and that's how he got in that very sticky mess at the Department of Mysteries in the Ministry.
The atmosphere switched to one of a lighter mood as she spoke about what James did to her at the dance. Harry shifted his feet softly on the floor, feeling as if it was some what his fault cause it was his kid that had done that to her. Then she said how the horcrux had taken over her and Harry's mind now started to race now, though his thoughts were foggy and few. "Could you tell me something?" He spoke up, now pulling back over his chair and sitting in it. "How many times as Bellatrix gotten through.? What caused them and what stopped 'em all?" He was now very curious, his face soft and glassy as he waited for her answer. Maybe in the attacks he could find some clue as to keep the Horcrux at bay, and maybe even a way to destroy it for good.
