It had been what? Nearly a week now that Lily had been dead. Harry had fixed the gaping hole in the house, Ginny had managed to tell two of the Potter children. One seemed to not be around that often enough. She was slightly confused with the matter. Albus seemed to not care that lily was dead... roula cared.... and she was happy about the matter. She dreaded to think how James would react... perhaps help albus throw a party? Maybe like Roula he saw no point taking a few days off school for his dead sister.
And then she spotted the daily prophet, once more with Lilys face on the front. The past one? Jack Lestrange decided to paste Lily was a death eater everywhere, and everyone knew just what she had been up too. Aparently they were still totaling up her murders. But of course Lily had tried to change, and it didn't help with the fact that the paper slated her for being some mass murderer. Ginny had already promised to make Bellatrix pay, but for a strange reason, she had an idea the Lestrange was in on it all. She couldn't see Bellatrix turning a Potter. She knew the woman was insane, but she always liked to kill.
It was a confusing puzzle. And she pushed the paper aside. The house seemed rather empty today. Where was everyone? Perhaps Harry was suffering from the grief of killing their own daughter? Well she knew Lily had gone too far. That was lily to push it all the way. On frequent occasions when lily was much younger she stressed out over the girl, though who was to say Lily didn't know what she was doing? No one, because Lily was dead.

The past afternoon had been spent with Kelsey and he wished she was coming with him today. He had seen Lily all over the daily prophet and he knew that was the reason his mum had asked him to come see her today. He had woken up that morning with a hangover from hell, Michael and him had gone out drinking the night before. James was way to stressed right now, he had recently promised his sister he would do whatever he could to help her out in her current situation and there she went getting herself into trouble again, now the whole world new. At least no one knew she was pregnant yet, that was something he hoped his parents already knew and he would not have to tell them about. After all, who wanted to be the bearer of bad news when your parents are probably still mad you ran off and got married without telling them?
He fidgeted with his wedding ring as he walked down the familiar streets to his house, smoking a cigarette. Of course, he was seventeen and could apparate himself wherever he pleased, when he had a lot on his mind, it was better to walk. Plus he was not even sure his parents knew he smoked, so why ruin their day further? He was grateful Michael had a remedy for hangovers other wise this meeting with his parents would probably be more hell than he could handle. He knew he was a bit of an alcoholic himself, but Michael had more experience with the subject, and James could only imagine why. They were becoming good friends this year and Mike had a history no one would want to live.
That morning before he left he had kissed Kelsey good bye in the Great Hall before walking to Hogsmeade. He promised her he would be back as soon as he could, and reassured her that he loved her and would never leave her side. After everything she was going through he couldn't bare to leave her side. His wife had not only been raped in the past week but she also discovered that she was a horcrux for Bellatrix Lestrange. Which James had almost died hearing. What was he supposed to do to help her now?! He supposed that if it ever came down to it he would have to ask his dad for help on that one, but he did not want to involve him, after all James knew everything about the wars, as though he had lived it himself.
He was really not sure what to expect when he got to his house, he had not payed any attention to the news recently so he had no idea what he might have missed. He was too concerned about Kelsey right now to think of much else. He figured when Lily would need him she would get ahold of him like she had before. After all, she knew just as well as anyone that he was a newly wed and there had to be some strings attached to that. He hoped to god that his parents were not calling him here to give him the "too young for children" speech he had received from the Headmaster at the Christmas Ball when they had revealed their marriage to everyone. Then again, he figured it had been a couple months, his parents had to have forgiven him by now, right?
Something told him that he was not going to his house to talk about him for once. Which could either be a good thing or a bad thing. It would only be good if they really just wanted to see him, which did not happen often. His guess would be that that was not the case. The other option would be that someone else in his family was in trouble and the only thing he could think of was Lily. They had to know something, something happened that he did not know about yet, and he was almost afraid to find out. He just hoped nothing worse had happened to his little sister... They were not always close but he was closer to her than any of his siblings it seemed to be.
When he finally got to his doorstep he flicked his cigarette back into the drive after taking one last drag. He exhaled the cloud of smoke and pushed open his front door. His mom was just sitting in the living room and his dad was no where in sight. "Hey mum." he said softly, as he walked in and shed his jacket almost immediately. He sat down near his mother and looked over at her, everything seemed to be far from all right here.

Ginny wasn't exactly upset with James going off and getting married, or at least not as much as harry had been. She wouldn't have minded if she had actually gotten a chance to meet the girl and actually see if she liked her or not - not that it would make all the difference, she was sure if she'd said something bad james would have gone along and done it anyway. She seemed to have least amount of control over her children recently. She'd had Albus who had walked out on her, Lily that had gone haywire and James that decided to move his life on early. What more could she do? She couldn't drag them all back. Al just didn't care anymore, Lily was dead and she wasn't going to drag james into a divorce.
Besides, she had to admit, she was still pretty proud of them all. They all had managed to stand on their own two feet (despite lily falling off the edge of the sanity cliff and getting herself killed). She knew someday she'd have to let them all go, everyone had to grow up sooner or later, and she was sure even though the drama in her life currently was bad, they would soon be reminising over it in some nursing home as the family generations move along. It was life wasn't it. Or at least, everyones life was currently being shook up, she just wondered home many more would loose their own during an uncoming war. That was the scary thought. She didn't like the idea that she could lose james, roula or albus. Lily was a lost cause, but she still had three more in danger or their lives.
It was harry that had put her on the edge. He was determined to have the family start up dumbledores army, and Ginny wasn't happy. Sure they did it when they were younger, but there was more than two people in the war. There was Bellatrix and her army, Jack and his own and then everyone else who had to pick sides. People could influence others into something, Lily was influenced without anyone knowing, and obviously james, albus and the weasleys were going to be influenced by harry. She gave a sigh. She didn't like this, not one bit.
Life had been busy busy busy recently. Harry fixed the hole in lilys room - Ginny refused to even go in there. She didn't want to be reminded of what she had lost. Sure her and Lily hadn't been all that close, but when lily was little they had, she had brought lily into the world, and clearly harry had lost his temper and sent her on her way back. Now all she wanted was to get her revenge on both bellatrix and jack - she needed to know which one had sent lily down the wrong path, and just like her mother had done, she would make sure lily got her payback like her dead brother had.
She glanced up when James walked in, she was surely not going to breakdown. Or at least she hoped. She tried to smile but she guessed it had come up as fake. "hello james" she greeted. "how are things..?" she began, after clearing her voice. "and... kelsey is it?" she added. it was only polite to ask since kelsey was the newest addition to the family. "i've got some bad news... by the way" she finally said.
