He paused in the act of wiping sweat from his forehead. The room was hot and they were moving around quite a good bit. He looked up at his partner and waved for a break. This practice was good for them. The whole idea being that he would soon be able to join the order. Or at least that was his idea. Maybe it was stupid, but it was Trevent's dream. He wanted nothing more than just peace. And he was smart enough to know that, peace wasn't always free. Trevent intended to fight for peace. Knowing he would be fighting his own family, some of his friends, and Petra just made it harder.
Beckoning Shakti over with him, he moved to the bean bags and sat with a smile. He was getting better at some of those spells. But Shakti was still tons better than he was. Trevent didn't envy her. Just accepted that she was a year ahead and loads more talented than he was. He was lucky that she would be his partner. It helped him improve, but it also made him exhausted. And right now, he was terribly tired. Thirsty too. A laugh escaped his lips as the room created a cold glass of pumpkin juice beside his feet. There could be no better headquarters for the DA than here. He loved that the room just knew.
As he drank it down, he thought over which spells they should practice next. It was not strictly up to him, of course. But, he had a better idea than most of how the Dark Arts worked. It flowed through his very veins, as he was repeatedly told. The thought just disgusted him and he looked over to his housemate. She at least did not think negatively about him because of his rotten luck in blood. And she, herself, though had the same blood as a previous order member. Trevent had to admit that he was a bit jealous of that. Imagine, having parents that stood for more than blood status and domination? It was a lovely little dream for him and he sighed.
"I think you work me too hard." He smiled at her, intending it half-jokingly. Trevent wouldn't have liked for her to not to have made him work. After all, the other side wasn't going to easy on him. Especially if they recognized him. He decided then and there that he hated war.
