Yumi cast her mind back to the end of her first year. ''A Gryffindor! You!'' She suddenly tried to blot it out, knowing what was coming shortly. ''Never, in all my years of parenting, has anyone been a Gryffindor, not under my roof! You, are going to pay!'' T H W A C K ! Yumi gulped, a short but unmistakable tear dripping from her eyelids and landing on the stone floor, swiftly moving past it, thanks to Jacob. She forced out a smile to him. He was being so kind and she was crying when he didn't know anything about it. She didn't want to make him confused. "Sorry," she apoligised to him as she sat down carefully. She'd never been here before, only once, and then she'd met Analeigh. "Thanks, but I'm ... not hungry." she mumbled, her head down andher cheeks going very red.

Jacob was indeed confused, Yumi was strange, but obviously he did not want her to just wonder off somewhere and be forgotten either. He decided that acceptance was better then trying to force her to do anything, he sure knew what it was like to be forced into things. However it seemed that was changing lately too, his parents blocking him out on many of the new things happening, had they decided he was not good enough to be a death eater like them?
Whatever the case was Jacob was really not death eater material, regardless of how much he tried to be, in order to please his parents. Perhaps Gryffindor was the right place for him after all? I]Blasphemy![/i] he shook it off as Yumi was far more important at the moment anyway. She was said, and looked confused too, but perhaps it was only a reflection of his own feelings that he was seeing.
“It’s fine. How about something to drink? You must be cold, perhaps some warm tea just to get the blood flowing again.” He said trying his best to be polite and not too pushy. Which was not as hard as being the snappy boy he was always trying to be. This was far easier indeed. However compassion was something that was another weakness, at least in his parents eyes. He was not going to concern himself with that at the moment.
