It seemed all Marcus was doing here lately was sneaking out at night. It was rather ironic actually. He usually did it to escape everyone, now he was going to meet up with someone. He pushed open the portrait leading to the Slytherin common room cautiously, in case the caretaker was down in the dungeons tonight. Clutched in his right hand was a note addressed to him that he found upon his four post bed in the dorm rooms that laid above his head. It read:
Marcus,
[/i] Need to talk to you tonight, 3rd floor. Press the 2nd statue of the witch and you'll find the room we found when we were in our 3rd year. Meet you there tonight.Adriana. Hmm that was a name he hadn't heard in awhile. He usually saw her sitting over with her friends int he common room after dinner and on the weekends at times, but she wasn't there tonight. The letter explained it all. He had stuffed the letter down his jean pocket as he started out into the castle, hand in his pocket, firmly clutching his wand just in case. He didn't have to use it tonight though thankfully (detention was really the last thing he needed at the moment.) Marcus made it to the 3rd floor landing with a sort of spring in his step, thankful that the old hag wasn't out. He found the statue of the witch he was looking for and pressed the little wart on its nose. He jumped as it spoke to him. "AH! you should really watch where you put your hands laddie." It, she, whatever it was said to him. "Sorry, just in a hurry."he replied and gave a look of apology, though his green eyes were just as cold and icy as the years before. It nodded and moved aside, revealing a little passageway that he entered suit, finding the room on the left like she said he would. He entered in, spotting her sitting in a chair. "What's going on?" he asked, his thick accent hanging out into the words he spoke. [/center][/blockquote] Outfit:Click!Music:Moonage Daydream- David Bowie

Adriana ran her fingers threw her dark brown hair as she stood in the Slytherin common room scribbling some words onto a piece of parchment, sending a letter to one guy who she still slightly trusted in this school. Yes he wasn’t her best friend. Hell he wasn’t even a really good friend. But she has known him since their second year. He was someone she knew that well if she had to she could talk too. Even though it never came to that. But once her hand quit writing she waved her hand sending the letter to Marcus before changing her clothes.
See Adria had been digging into her past more and more lately. Looking into her father’s death more than she ever had. Marcus and Adria did they seem to talk about how they both lost a parent, to death eaters, and Marcus had even named the guy who killed his father once. And with some snooping she had found something very interesting in her past. See Adria’s father, who was killed the same year as her friend, only a month later, was murdered by the same man as Marcus’s mother.
This was interesting to her, and she wanted her friend to know. Yeah it might make him angry at her, but right now she was going to take the chance. She was going out on a limb with this. So sitting down in their secret room she awaited his arrival, which wasn’t even ten minutes later.
Hearing the door open, and his voice the brunet stood up and looked at him. “I have some news. I think it might interest you. I mean… I know you like learning new things, and well this subject kind of interested me.” She was about to be straight to the point, Incase he wanted to yell at her he could get it over with. “You know how you told me how your mother died, and who killed him. And how it was only a month before my father died… Well I found out who killed my dad.” She said softly.
Adria wasn’t even scared of what he might do at this moment, because there was nothing he could do that would be worse than her mother’s torture when she was younger…. She was just a scared little girl then, now she wasn’t. She was strong, and a quiet powerful witch. Even though she knew her friend wouldn’t harm her, or so she thought. She gripped her wand in her pocket just preparing herself, incase the mention of his mother did make him upset…

Marcus had walked in and laid the question on her pretty quickly. If something was wrong he wanted to know A.S.A.P no questions asked, rather than play a game of duck duck goose, and try to find the answers himself. He had already done that enough in his life. But, at last he found one person who understand his need for knowledge. Others thought it was just for the better good, furthering his magical education, but really it was for his father and himself. His father had trained him hard in his youth, preparing him for the day to face his mothers killer, but the plans had changed slightly, and his father would not be there beside him the day it happened. Marcus had turned his back on him, not wanting to put up with his pathetic excuse for a life anymore.
And so here he was, seeing the brunette stand up to deliver the news. He was ready for anything. Death was just an obstacle in this game called life, and if someone close had died, he would just shrug it off like he did all other matters. “I have some news. I think it might interest you. I mean… I know you like learning new things, and well this subject kind of interested me.” she had said and he retorted quickly. "Yes I understand that from the letter, or I wouldn't be down here now would I." he said, his thick Liverpool accent hanging out over his words. Yes, he was born there, but did he live there? No, he was always switching places. Hogwarts seemed to be the only home he had that was stable.
But what came next was something he wasn't expecting to happen until his years at Hogwarts were up and the world had already gone back into the chaos and flame it had received many years before when Potter walked the halls of the school. She spoke. “You know how you told me how your mother died, and who killed him. And how it was only a month before my father died… Well I found out who killed my dad.”............ His heart sank and his bones grew cold, his eyes even colder than before. So there it was in black and white, a connection to the Mad Hatter's game of destruction, and one more step into the source of it all.
"Griffon...." Marcus spat the words out of his mouth with rather disgust, his blood now boiling back up to temp, and rising. The Ash wand flew out of his pocket quicker than he usually had done it, and he was pretty fast at drawing. He pointed it at a desk, and expression of hate and sorrow on his face, his green eyes cold. "EXPULSO!" He jabbed the wand in the air as a blue jet of light slipped jaggedly out of the tip and onto the desk, causing it to explode into millions of pieces.
He closed his eyes softly and breathed slowly, his wand still pointed to where the desk was. After a minute of collecting himself he lowered the wand, though his knuckles were still white from the tight grip he had on it, and spoke once more. "I'm not mad at you..."he said, his voice soft and quivering slightly. "Is there more?" he looked over at her. Now as not the time to lie to him.

Marcus was scaring her now. Time her words left her lips, he grew angry, and him angry was something Adria rarely saw. He was normally so calm, collective, and such. Not now though. Now he was angry, and truth be told it was scarign the hell out of her. Before she noticed it she had backed away about ten feet. Oh well there went her saying he couldn’t scare her, because with the shards of desk flying up in the air Adria let out a little gasp as she gripped her wand even tigher…
Even though he spoke saying he wasn’t mad at her, it wasn’t very convincing. But then again he was just ticked off at Griffon just as she was. Adria lately, ever since she learned about the connection between hers and Marcus’s past, and finding out about Griffon, she has been snooping around a lot. Trying to find anything she can about the man, were he lived, were he worked, everything, and shockingly she had narrowed were he worked down to three places, and were he lived to two… All in a short months work of work…
SO looking up at him her brown honey tinted eyes lingered up on him as she swallowed before speaking. “Yes, there is more…I kinda, I kidna know were he might live and work. Well not really, but, I have a few ideas, from leads on people, and well snooping around… I, I just thought you would like to know.” Ok there went all of her confidence, what happened to her??? She was Adriana Madison Reed, she ruled a majority of the sixth year Slytherin girls, she could have nearly any guy she wanted, she had money, was powerful, burt right here with him she looses all her confidence…. It bothered her deeply.
So standing there away from her she kept her fingers secured around her wand starring up at him. Her bottom lip being chewed on slightly as she tried not to move to much, not really knowing what to expect from him. Not knowing what he might be capable of, because well one she has never seen him angry, and two, all the quiet people seemed to be the most dangerous underneath. But even though she knew that he wouldn’t hurt her, again she thought his, she was still slightly timid about the whole situation…
“I have been well, looking around a lot lately. Snooping threw old records and such, and going into Knocturn and Diagon alley a lot during my free time. Trying to see what I could dig up on him. His work isn’t too easy to find, but from a few sources I have a good idea were he might live, either here in London, in a little magical subdivision on the outskirts of town, or a place in Ireland, I have the exact addresses written down, but… I don’t know exactly, but I though you might want to know… And truth be told you were the only person I could come to with this.” Adria spoke honestly in a soft voice. Oh how this could turn out interesting.

"Deep breaths Marcus....Just deep breaths... He thought to himself as his body mimicked his thoughts, his chest going from bouncing up and down rather erratically, to smooth fluid motions with every passing moment. What had come over him? He was one of the most collective and calm guys in the school. Hell, even when he fought he was always calm and quiet, unless someone struck a nerve and he went into a frenzy. Yeah, that's what must of happened just there. She struck a nerve, one hidden so deep within himself, locked away for so many years, that he had forgotten about it. It was implanted within him the night of his mother's death, grew during his father's relentless beatings and manifestations of what he called 'danger'. But really, wasn't Marcus the danger?
Finally his thoughts came back to reality as he heard her voice, his eyes locking with hers. He could tell he had startled her. Not just by the way she had seemed to move magically ten paces back from where he stood, but the tone of her voice, the whiteness of her knuckles as she clenched onto the wand as a lifeline, the way her eyes flickered back and forth from her shoes to his very own harsh, cold green ones. He listened intently as she spoke of Griffon, this time making sure his blood didn't boil and make his skin crawl.
“Yes, there is more…I kinda, I kinda know were he might live and work. Well not really, but, I have a few ideas, from leads on people, and well snooping around… I, I just thought you would like to know.” she had told him as he recollected his thoughts once again. "I should know, and I am very glad you brought me this information." he replied as he started to walk around the room solemnly. Her confidence had left her once again, like it always had when he was around. Was he really that controlling? If so, the why wasn't he in the reigns of the Death Eaters? Or better yet, Dark Lord himself? His stomach clinched at the thought though. Death Eater was something he would never be, and Dark Lord as well. He had no idea what had come over him. Was it the Slytherin getting into his veins finally? The snake's venom running its course?
Another moment of collecting thoughts as she spoke once more. “I have been well, looking around a lot lately. Snooping threw old records and such, and going into Knocturn and Diagon alley a lot during my free time. Trying to see what I could dig up on him. His work isn’t too easy to find, but from a few sources I have a good idea were he might live, either here in London, in a little magical subdivision on the outskirts of town, or a place in Ireland, I have the exact addresses written down, but… I don’t know exactly, but I though you might want to know… And truth be told you were the only person I could come to with this.” He gave a slight nod of approval as he made his way to the old oak desk that sat a few feet from her. He pulled back the matching oak chair and sat down, tracing his wand on the desk, burn marks following the tip. He was sure now that this sudden spark of insane evil was from Griffon. Oh how he would love to just torture the living soul out of him right now, but that would have to wait. "Well once again I do think you for this information." he said, his accent hanging over his words again and again. he had tried his best to cover it up, just in case there was some sort of spy at the school, but it was becoming harder and harder now. He looked over at her once again, his cold eyes fixed.
"What we must do now, is plan." he told her. He raised his wand off the desk and to the sky. "Accio Bag!" he said, and outside the doorway he could hear the skidding of the bag, full of atlases and books on spells, star guides and many many things. He heard the statue grunt once again, cursing under its breath, before the bag flew up and landed on the desk. He reached in and pulled out a big, faded brown leather book. Cracking it open, he flipped a few pages, showing a map of London. "Show me where it is." he told her.

Did she ever expect he would act like this, no? Adriana didn’t know how important this was to him. She knew that she had longed to find the man who killed her father all those years ago, swore vengeance on it. That was until she got pregnant, lost her baby, and her boyfriend, and then sworn into a spiraling rain of depression, just until recently when she picked herself off the ground in the hundreds of pieces she was in and reformed herself.
Now that her priorities were restraight, she started her research, which was something that no one could probably believe if they heard that Adriana Reed was researching, but she didn’t care. She had something she had to do, and when eh cam upon all this information, she knew she had to get it out, to Marcus, the one person who would relate to her, but now that she did tell him he was scarring her. The girl stood there, her hand gripping her wand as he spoke…he was happy that she came to him with this, which had to be good right. So then automatically she loosened her grip on the wand slightly and just nodded as she followed him over to the desk, taking a seat in front of the man looking down as he pulled out a map laying it in front of her.
The girl starred down at the map for a long moment before drawing her wand over it circling the spot were Griffon had to be at, right. With a faint smile she tapped her wand on the map making the area zoom in slightly so you could see the houses themselves. “He is supposed to be here. Well this is the only other lead I had. I never got to check it though…” She stated honestly as she looked up at the man, her green eyes scanning over him for a moment. “I… I was meaning to go check it out…Like soon, but I didn’t really want to go alone, because well, Griffon we both know what he is capable of.” She said softly before leaning back on the seat she was sitting in slightly.
That was the truth. Ms. Reed was planning on checking out the area herself, even apperated there a few times, but never got up the audacity to go up on the house were her fathers potential killer laid. So she always turned around and came back to school, but right now she knew that now that Marcus knew this that he possibly would check it out himself.

Deep down inside him he felt this odd feeling, one that he was quite sure he had never experienced before. It wasn't like the usual stomach pulls he got when he was around a certain girl, or rage from this whole case. It was a slight happiness. His mind raced and wandered for the cause of it, and then he looked down at the map, and the feeling increased. It was because he was finally getting a stab at what he always wanted, who he always wanted dead.
His cold, off-beat green eyes flicked back up to the girl as she pulled up her own chair, then they went back to the map as she started to show him where Griffon was. “He is supposed to be here. Well this is the only other lead I had. I never got to check it though…” She said as she circled the map with her wand, making a little burn trail. She then tapped it and it zoomed in to show a little area of houses. He started taking mental notes at this point, his right hand picking at it's own nails as he usually did when he was anxious.
It was funny to think that in just a few short weeks he would be standing on this man's doorstep, ready to take him on. He thought about it for a moment. He would destroy the damn house, that he was sure of. He would do his best to bring it down onto of the little bastard so that he could never be able to be found. Marcus chuckled a little at this, looking off into a dark corner of a room, then back at Adriana. His stomach gave a little pull towards her, and his mind wandered open. She was cute, and very pretty. He had once heard she had a crush on him a year or so back, but he was too busy with this to take notice. His heart dropped a bit at this. Life was passing him by, and all he could worry about was just some old man.
His mind closed as he spoke. "Is there anything else?"

Adria didn't know the feeling of happiness the man was feeling since she gave him this information She didn't know about the big urge he held for this man to be dead, she just knew that he killed his mother, as Griffin killed her father. So she did have a slightly urge for revenge. For him to be brought to justice, preferably dead, but she knew she couldn't have done it, not alone at least, and she had no idea that in just a few weeks that the guy sitting before her would take care of the menace for the both of them, even though he wouldn't be doing it because he killed her father, but for the fact that Griffon murdered Marcus's mother.
Just sitting here looking up at Marcus as he seemed to make notes about the map she couldn't' help but admire him. Admire him for everything. He was the one guy who did understand how she felt, how she was raised, and why she was like she was. The two had so much in common, so so much. They spoke three of the same languages, and that was just one thing they had in common. So how was she not suppose to like this guy. how was she not suppose to have a crush on the mysterious Marcus Harding...it was impossible not too.
yes she had a very open crush on him two years ago, but she just started telling him it wasn't there anymore after that. She didn't want him thinking that she stuck around him as a friend because she liked him...That would be just awkward, so now her little crush was hidden within herself, for no one to find out unless they ventured far enough in to find it..
But just as her thought started they stopped when he spoke. Did she have anything else, no....So she knew what that meant. He probably didn't have a reason to stick around anymore. Adria knew though she couldn't lie to him. Even though she found his mysterious dark side intriguing, and she loved to urge it on, it scared her at times, and she wasn't about to tick him off by lying or giving him false information for him to stick around. So with a faint smile she nodded. "no. I don't' have anymore information...If i did you know I would tell you." Adriana paused for a moment as she sighed. "So i am guessing you are going to leave now...I mean since you got the information I called you here for?"
