Alice sat in the corner of the shop; drinking her tea and reading a magazine over motherhood. She couldn’t believe she was going to be a mother in eight months. She also had to take care of a five year, Ethan. She was happy taking care of her best friend child and it was practice before her baby come into the world. She did love Ethan and wanted to adopt him if she can but for now she was just happy being his legal guardian. She put her hand to her stomach and smiled. She just couldn't believe that she was going to be a mother.
She only wished that Daniel was here with her. She didn’t want to raise her baby with out a father and she didn’t want to be without a husband. She wasn’t completely hopeless though; she had a job and her own house. She just wanted someone to come home to and cook for. She wanted to have a real family like want she had when she was gowning up. She had a happy family. Her mother and father are happily married to each other for over forty years. She just always hoped that her life would have turn out like her parents but it didn’t.
She looked down at her ring and fidgeted it. She could have told him to stay home with her that day but she didn’t and now he was gone. She put her hand to her forehead and rub it. She needed to stop get depress every time she remember about Daniel. He wouldn't want her to miserable all her life.

It was another day for Robin. Got up, went to work,left work,and came to relax at Madam Puddifoot's. It was the usually routine for him. Everyday the same old thing but,today? Today was going to be different. Robin did not see this coming at all.After work he went to the usually spot. When he went in,he notice nothing new, and keep on walking until he saw her. He know that blond hair. It was Alice. He could not believe his eyes. He was in shock. How he wondered.
Alice the girl he loved and only loved. They where childhood friends and very close until she had gotten married. He had always regret not asking her out on time. He just never had the guts to do it. He never forgive himself.He could not love another woman after her. Of course Alice never know this since they were only best friends and nothing more. He had study her a bit before he approach.
He walked up from behind because he did not want her to see him yet."Such a lovely lady should not be siting by herself now"He said with a smile on his face.They had not seen each other since her marriage,they probably did have time too since life was busy but seeing her again made him so happy and he wanted to see how she was going to react when she saw him.

Alice snap back to reality when she heard someone talking to her. “I think I agree with you on that.” She said joking and turned around to see who was talking to her. “Robin!” She jump up and gave him a hug. She hasn’t seen him in a long time and it was good to see him again. He was her childhood friend and best friend but at time she did have feeling for him as more then a friend. She never did acted on it because she didn't want to ruin anything. “You’re not looking so bad yourself.” She said teasing.
“It’s so good to see you.” She said sitting back down. “And you may join me.” She said smiling. “How are you?” She asked. She couldn’t believe she met him here. She been meaning to owl him but kept forgetting since she had a five year old who keep her working. She never had a moment of peace but she loved that. It kept her from thinking about Daniel. “Oh my goodness all my magazines are
everywhere.” She moved all her magazines in order to give Robin some room. “I must look horrible at the moment. Taking care of a five year old doesn’t give me enough time to fix up.” She said smiling lightly. “Ethan is full of life and mischief but I love him to death.” She said. “You need to come by so you can meet him. I know he will like you.” She said smiling brightly.

When she had notice who he was and hugged him his hurt melted. He was like nothing had ever change. He had the biggest smile on his face as he hugged her back.Oh my goodness I missed your hugs!"He said laughing a bit. He did truly miss them." I know I always look good." he said winking at her playing around. "It's good to see you too."he said taking a sit when she said that he could join her.He sat forward on his sit,looking down at the magazines. There where a lot out but he did not mind.
"Oh I'm good , I finished my training and now I'm a full time Auror."He told her."And how are you?"He said really wanting to know."Its fine do not worry about the magazine their very interesting to look at."He said laughing."You have a Child?"He asked. He did not know that Alice had any children he should have expect it tho."I would love to meet him sometime!"He said smiling he would meet anyone for Alice."So how are you and Dan doing?"He asked wondering where Dan had been. He had not seen the couple for a long time either.

"Ethan isn't mine. He's my dear friend's son." Alice took a sip of her tea. “Dan passed away about a month ago.” She sat her tea cup down and looked away. “He died while training this dragon or something.” She said. “I didn’t want the full detail since…” She felt tears forming in her eyes and blink them back. She didn’t want to start crying in this place or in front of Robin. She had to be strong for her and Ethan. “but I’m okay now since in eight months I’m going to be a mother.” She picked up her magazine and started reading it.
“Have you ever had lemon pie before?” She wanted the topic to change. She didn’t want to talk about it anymore. She wanted to tuck that memory deep down and never let herself think back about it. “I need to try this new recipe but I don’t think a little boy will like lemon pie?” She said. “I got it. I should make Ethan this apple pie.” She flip the page. “You should come over to my house and have dinner with me and Ethan, Robin.” She put down the magazine and grabbed his hand. She always did that when she was excited or something. “I have this pot roast and peach cobbler recipe I’ve been dying to use. So you have to come over.” She said not giving him an option. “Come over this Saturday around six-ish or so.” She said smiling and letting go your hand. “If you have a girlfriend you should bring her over too.” She was hoping that he wouldn’t have one but it would have been rude if she didn’t invite his girlfriend.

Robin was in shock. He never heard about the death of Dan. He could see how sad Alice was. He never liked seeing Alice upset. It made him upset too for some reason. He just did not like seeing her hurt. "I'm so sorry Alice."He said softly to her. Then he heard she be having a baby in eight months! That took him by surprise. "Oh ! Congratulates Alice!"He said smiling. He was kind of sad and happy for her. One she was going to have a baby but, their would be a father to take care of Alice and the childern.
When she had changed the subject ,he just went along with it. He could see she was very upset."Lemon pie?well.."He said pondering."Ya Never had it." He said laughing a bit.Lemon pie was a drastic subject change he thought. It was weird to him but, he was ok with it even if he never tasted lemon pie."I think children would like it, it's sweet." He always thought that children liked sweet things to eat and lemon was one well at least to him. "Apple sounds good to me,always loved apple pie!"He said getting hungry at the thought of an apple pie. When Alice touched him,shivers went down his spine. He had missed the touch of her hand. It remind of him of old times when she held his hand out of excitement. "well since you been dying to to use, I can not refuse!'He said smiling and laughing again."It's not like I have a choice either. So Sunday it is"He laughed at how either way he had to come. When she mention a girlfriend, he smiled. Alice was the reason he did not have a girl friend so he found it funny that she had mention it. "Well I have no girlfriend ,you remember how I was with girls?"He told her. He could barley talk to them, Alice was the only one he could talk to."Unless you want me to hire a fake girl to be my girlfriend and I can bring her and we can praise about your dinner around the world."He said joking with her. He sure did love to joke.

"I thought you might have gotten over the shyness, Robin." Alice was happy that he didn't have a girlfriend. She wanted him all to herself. "You're a good looking guy Robin. Girls fall for you all the time." She could remember that a lot of girls had a crush on him back in Hogwarts but he was to shy to do anything. She did however like the fact that she was only girl that he talk to but she was being too selfish.
"I think I rather have you all to myself then." She said smiling. "but I guess I have to share you with Ethan too.." She said pouting. She couldn't explain it but her old feeling for him was coming back. She didn’t know if that was a good thing. She knew that Daniel would want her to be happy and move on but she didn’t want to forget about him. She loved him too much but she needed to move on for her sake. She haven’t played on the single flied for very a long time. The last time she ever flirted was when she was 19 and she couldn’t even remember who she was flirting with.
“I can’t believe I’m going to be this big later on.” She said showing Robin a picture on her magazine. “I’ve been eating these weird foods, Robin. I eat eggs all the time. It’s like that all I ever want but I never like eggs.” She said laying her head down on the table. She could feel people staring at because her little scene.

Robin laughed at the thought of overcoming his shyness with girls."I wish."He said"But one girl to talk to is enough for me."He said laughing and talking about her.He had blushed when she had said he was a good looking guy.He knew that when they where in school together thah all the girls liked him,and wanted to go outwith him but, he never asked them out or even talked to them.He remember how all the girls were extremely jealous of Alice. Why? Well she was the only girl he talked too and they hated that. One good thing about him being shy with woman is that he never became a player, He would have hated himself if he did. He had always respected woman, they where angelic creatures. He could never see himself hurting a woman. Defiantly not Alice.
"Well since we where reunited you can have me by yourself anytime,pluse Seeing Ethan will be nice."He said smiling. He thought since he found her again they could start hanging out like old time. He thought it would be fun and also give him a chance to tell his real feelings for her. If he got up the guts to. He did not want to make the same mistake he did before,just letting her go like that. He had really upset him.If he had told Alice,she would have never been with Dan and they probably having kids of their own but, life did not happen that way. This time he promised he would not let her slip through his fingers. He loved her too much to do so.
"Well I guess that what happens when your pregnant."He said chucking a bit."Well at least I can make you egg salad now."He said laughing. had always remember Alice hating eggs and him loving them. He could eat eggs for breakfast,lunch,and dinner. He thought it funny that she had a carving for them. It was just weird to hear her say it."Well, I'm sure you'll be a beautiful pregnant woman who likes eggs."He said smiling at her.He was sure right about her being beautiful."I think now your starting to get the glow."He told her talking about facial shine during pregnancy.

“You know I would have looked for you soon or later. I could never forget you after all we spend most are time together through out school. And you’re my dearest friend. I can’t survive without you.” It was true all through out Hogwarts Robin was the responsible one out of them. He was always the one who kept her out of trouble though she always got them in trouble in the end.
“I think I’m found with eggs salad. I still don’t like eggs but that’s all I want.” She said annoyed. She rather had a craving for something that she actually like. She just blushed when Robin complimented her. “You’re so sweet Robin. I think that’s one of the reason I kept you around.” She joked.
She put her hand to her stomach. “I always dream that I would be a mother but I somewhat scared. I never raised a child before and I never thought I would have to do it alone. I don’t think I could do it. What if the child has a horrible life because of me.” She couldn’t raise a baby or Ethan on her own. She was still was trying to get over Daniel death. And how was see suppose to get over him when Ethan constantly made her remember about Daniel. Ethan loved dragons and so did Daniel. “I don’t even now if I’m going to be a good mom.” She said.

Robin smiled at Alice. When she had said she would have looked for him soon or later,it made him very happy. He really had thought that she had forgot him,when she got married. Why? Well she probably want to focus on her marriage ,her job, and starting a family.He thought he would be forgotten about. Just hearing her say that knew that he was all wrong about his judgment. Differently when she said I can’t survive without you, he know he was all wrong. Those words made robin so happy inside.
"I know, I'm adorable!You just can not let me go!"He said joking with Alice. He loved joking around with Alice, she had always got his jokes and know when he was serious or not.A lot of people in school did not get that and always looked at him weird but, Alice got on right away. It was one thing for sure that he loved about her.
Robin had felt bad for Alice. She had only herself to take care of her children and no one else to help her. Robin know that she was kind of upset by it. Anyone would be. Raising two children by yourself is a hard job when you don't have a father around. "You can do Alice, your a strong person!"He told her to cheer her up at bit."Your a wonderful person your children will have a wonderful life." he added in there "Plus I'll be there to help you." He smiled at her. He just was not going to let her do this on her own,he wanted to help her all he could.

“I don’t know about the adorable part.” Alice joked back. She loved the old times when it was just her and Robin. They always joked with each other. Everyone in they school didn’t understand both of them. They thought that Alice was a stuck up girl but Robin knew who she really was.
“Thanks Robin.” She said smiling. She could always tell Robin anything and he wouldn’t judge her or anything. “it nice to know that I have someone who could help me.” She said smiling lightly. She was basically alone in raising Ethan and her baby. Knowing that Robin will help her made her feel better. “It would mean a lot to me.” She smiled warmly.
“I wonder if the baby is going to be a boy.” She ask Robin. “I always wanted a girl though since I heard girls mature faster then boys.” Ever since she could remember she always wanted a girl and named her Jasmine. Though she wouldn’t mind if she had a boy she will love him just as much. But she always wanted a girl to have a mother and daughter bond thing.. “but I wouldn’t mind having a boy, they just as cute as girls.” She said laughing.

"You know I am."He said shaking his pointer finger at her and then laughed. In school he really did belong in the Gryffidor house. He was a practical joker and loved playing pranks on people. He use to play joked on every house even his own. He remember when he played a Joke on His older brother and his brother freaked out on him but, it was funny.
"Well you know it's the truth!" He said to her because he really was telling her the truth."So No thanks are in order and I can not just leave my friend with no help at all can I?"He said to her smiling. He thought this would be his chance to get back in Alice life and prove to her that he can help and maybe ask her out too.
"Well either way I'm sure it will be a beautiful baby since it you, you knew."he told her."Hey I'm mature!"He teased her about the boy thing."Well then again.."He said thinking about it. He knew that he had his inner kid and probably still laughed at things that where immature. Robin laughed along with Alice." Well you should tell me what time and day we should get together."He asked her he really wanted to know when he see her next.

“Who told you that lie? About being adorable. I know it wasn’t from me.” She joked back. “Yes, yes you are but don’t get on conceited since I told you that.” She teased. “So, how is your brother these days?” She could remember all the pranks her and Robin use to do on him. It was hilarious when he freaked out on us.
“So No thanks are in order and I can not just leave my friend with no help at all can I?"
She was happy that he would help her and she needed it. She wouldn’t be able to handle to kids on her on. She could barely take care of Daniel and not to mention she almost burn the house down. Which was funny in some ways and thank goodness Daniel was there to help her. Well that was two years ago and she did however got better in cooking during those two years of cooking for someone.
"Well either way I'm sure it will be a beautiful baby since it you, you knew." "Hey I'm mature!”Well you should tell me what time and day we should get together."
“Thanks you.” She really did hope it was a girl but if she had a boy; she knew she will love him just as much. “I don’t think so.” She laughed lightly. “what about we meet up tomorrow or the next day and eat some dinner together at Blackout?” She ask and since she had been dieing to go eat there. She thought this was the perfect time to go and she wouldn’t have to go alone. "but you still have to come over this weekend for some of my home-cooking." She said.
