She laid curled up on the armchair nearest to the window. Already she had changed out of her school robes, hating them, and into something that reminded her a bit more of home. She missed it without a doubt. A deep longing within burned to just see familiar faces and scenery. She was tired of the rain, she was tired of the cold, she was tired of the hidden motives, she was tired of the whisperings, she was tired of Hogwarts. Sighing, Jessamyn thought back to happy times at the Academy. Poor the accident, she had been a different girl. Now, she was fake, cold and broken. She missed Marissa, who had not yet written her back. At least, she half smiled, she didn't miss Keith. She had also written him, just two words, "we're done". Nothing else, it had been a bittersweet moment of power. He could be with Marissa now for all she knew. Neither apparently missed her. Tag on the confusion she felt about Xander, and she was in a straight mess of emotions.
She glanced up and around the common room, only her and a couple in front of the fire where in the room. It was unusually dead for the time of day, but then again, it had just snowed. Jessamyn frowned in distaste, snow and her did not get along. She was much more comfortable up here, then wet and cold down on the grounds. Xander was down there, she had waved him to go play. Thinking of him brought a smile to her face. He was so amazing in regards to his friendship and treatment of her. She wondered what she had done right to be able to enjoy him in her life.
Hearing someone enter, she looked immediately to see if it was Xander. But, it was Idril. She was nice and friendly with Jessamyn. She seemed shy around most people, but for some reason, Idril opened up around Jessamyn. They could become friends, given the time. Though, right now, she didn't want to have to put forth the effort. Knowing Idril would come over, she cleared her face of emotion, adding only a smile.

Idril was in the library. She was looking for some books that could help her with homework. Not everything was in her head yet. And she realized she had already read books she borrowed last time and now she had nothing to read. She walked around the bookshelves tapping the titles on covers of every book. Finally she picked some books, those to help with a homework and those to just read for fun. They were quite heavy and she forgot to use magic to help herself. But it was nothing. She borrowed them and walked out with a smile on her face. She thought that this time she could study in the common room or her dorm. It would be a nice change. At least library was not the only one place to study.
Idril walked upstairs to the Ravenclaw tower carrying all those books she borrowed from the library. She said the password to enter the common room and the door were open for her. She walked in looking around. Not many people there. She spotted Jessamyn and smiled at her. But unfortunatelly she wasn't watching her steps and stumbled over something. She did not fall but dropped every book she brought with herself. She blushed with embarrassment and squated to pick up everything.

It was almost like slow motion. She saw Idril trip and saw the books fly out. The girl looked like she wanted to melt into the floor with embarrassment. Swishing her wand, Jessamyn sent all of Idril's dropped books into a pile. She smiled down at her as she walked over and reached out a hand to help her up."Woah, darling, might want to be more careful. Though, this time I have to blame that rug. Maybe we can complain about it? It's ugly and it's almost tripped me too."She wanted Idril to lighten up. She was much too shy and serious all the time. It killed Jessamyn, who was even letting a little bit lose. She brushed her mane of hair back, almost wanting to cut it. Though, if she did that, she'd be furious with herself later. Some things you don't do on a whim, cutting six years worth of hair was one of them.

Idril saw how books she just dropped have been sent into a pile. Why didn't she think about it? It would be much easier and she would not have to worry about it or feel embarrassed. She sighed and looked up to see Jessamyn with her hand reached out. She smiled a small smile and took her hand, then got up to her feet. "Thank you." she said with a light blush on her face. "It is possible but I think I just brought too many books at once." she smiled relaxed. "Thank you again." she pulled her wand out and pointed it at her books. They flew to her dormitory and landed at her bed. Jess reminded her about magic. At last they were at school of witchcraft and wizardry.

I'm so so so sorry, I forgot this was here! She smiled at her friend. Glad to have done something that day that was helpful and not at all mopey. Regardless of her own personal feelings, Hogwarts was not a terrible place. It was just new and a unknown. She waved Idril over to her chair, motioning for her to take a seat as well. The chill of the winter air was kept abay within the tower. Jessamyn had no desire to leave it and conversation might help her poor mood."It was no problem, friends to that right? She winked at Idril and leaned closer. "So, are you going to the ball? Any idea who you would like to go with?"Maybe it was a lame attempt, but fashion and gossip were like lifeblood to Jessamyn. She didn't necessarily crave the spotlight, just liked to be in the know. Alas being here at Hogwarts, she usually knew nothing. It irked her and made her wish for home. And while this line of questioning for Idril wasn't truly gossip, it was girl talk. One of the things Jessamyn had missed most severely.
