There was nothing better than a good night out on the job to get your mind off the problems back home. Especially when there was across several seas and oceans to split them apart as well as the prospect of good killing ahead, not to mention carnivale had just begun where he was heading.
Yes that's right. Right then Dante was roaming the streets of Venice just as soon as the red sun sank beneath the canal waters. He was there for business, but who could deny the many pleasures that came out this time of year? Carnivale was a festival meant for endless possibilities and mischief. It was a holiday truly made for him.
In the spirit of the festival he wore a dark elegant robe accented in silver with mysterious symbols and a metallic black mask to match. It would be the perfect thing to attract his wealthy target. Lucia Conti was her name and her habit of her flighty attitude was beginning to become her reputation. Her current romance was worried she might kill him off like she had her other lovers, and not wanting it to happen to him, the man called on Dante to take her first. A slow smile appeared on his face as the thought of what fun he would have with her before she would depart. This was going to be more of a vacation than work and he was planning to thoroughly enjoy it while it lasted.
Walking into the open plaza, where the party was being held, the vampire made himself two glasses of wine and started to mingle. It didn't take long before his target noticed and decided to more warmly welcome him to the celebration. Offering the glass, she took it and planted a long kiss as a thank you.
Between several dances and alot of fun in between, Dante liesurely led her to a more secluded spot to finish her off. Not really wanting to rush it, he drained her slowly until her heart stomped and with a light push her corpse fell with a subtle splash into the nearby calle. It was too dark to see, so no one would notice until morning..by then he would be gone..Turning swiftly he was surprised to find two more eyes watching him...

Victoria had been out and about all night and most of the day. As long as she could avoid sun light. She had her arms full of bags and boxes and she pushed open her condo door with her hip. She closed it behind her with her ankle and walked over to the room and set her things down on a large bed. She only went shopping like this once every few years. She sighed and slipped out of her summer dress and walked into the bathroom. She washed off a bit and then slipped into her crimson dress and mask and slipped into some black pumps. She stepped out into the front room and looked outside. The sun was gone and that was her cue.
Grabbing her cape, she headed out the door. There was a huge carnivale going on tonight and she wouldn't miss it for the world. She loved coming to her condo in Italy a couple weekends a year and it was a four day weekend and she was here for the time she could be. She walked down the hall and out into the streets. She ran into a few people and started chatting as she was handed a glass of champagne. But as she was talking to a couple of the local girls she knew, a familiar figure walked by with a girl. She let out a light growl and told them she had to go see someone else. She waved good by and followed slowly. She knew that he would be able to hear her heels on the stone floor and slipped them off but carried one in each hand. She stayed a way behind him and when she heard her whipper, she knew that Dante was draining her dry; she sighed.
She watched him, and when he turned around, his eyes fell on her. She waited for a moment, crossing her arms. "Having fun?"

His sapphire gaze centered on the familiar figure that now stood before him. She, too, was dressed elegantly with a crimson wrap around dress and a mask to nearly match his own. The sight itself was nearly enough to make him hungry again, but this time in a different way. The last time he had seen her was not on the best circumstances. She had been mildly irritated with the possibility that it had been his idea to get his cousin to make another. So just to avoid any unnecessary talks he had kept his distance for a few weeks. It was then he figured Italy was not far enough...
By now he had also wondered how long she had been watching. He surely hoped surely hoped she hadn't seen too much. If that were so, Dante would have alot of explaining or making up to do. The vampire then watched as his own lover folded her arms, and then asked if he was having fun. His only response to this was a debonair smile and a smooth remark, "You could say that..But what brings you here, draga? Couldn't get enough of me back in England?" He used the small time between is answer and her own, to quickly, and yet effortlessly, walk up to her.

Victoria wasn't sure how to react to his response... well... the first part of it at least. She sighed and watched as he walked up to her and asked what brought her here and if she couldn't get enough of him back in England. She smirked at him and chuckled lightly. "Oh. No. I have a condo down here for my relaxation weekends. I've had the same room for one hundred years..." she looked at him and then walked around him in a circle, looking him up and down. She smiled lightly and then grabbed his shoulder from behind as she bent to put on her heels.
Standing up she turned him around and kissed him gently on the lips. One thing could tell her a lot and she turned her back to him, pretending to look for the body and wiped her lips. There was a faint pink on them and she had no lipstick on. She turned around and looked at him, rubbing the lipstick into her hands, she would ignore it and try another approach. "I wanted to give you something... but it best be saved for later unless you would like to watch the fireworks from the top story of one of the most well renown hotels in town...?" she gave him the look she knew he couldn't resist.

He returned her light laugh with a subtle one of his own. Her explanation of why she was here only brought naughty thoughts to his already tainted heart. Her reaction also seemed to say he was safe for now. Luckily she hadn't seemed to noticed his more...unfavored escapades. This was a good thing, for either her or her family's temper was not something to test often.
Standing still, Dante watched as she put her shoes back on, secretly aware she had something on her mind. He had been right when Victoria turned him around only to kiss him. It was a gesture he had wanted to recieve since his eyes met hers only moments before. It was these times he wondered if she had mastered legitimense with how well she read his mind.
Though as soon as the kiss ended it was she to turn around. His piercing wanting eyes watched her intensely. now curious at what she was playing at. He was about to mention that the body was deep in the canal and there was no point in looking for it when his love spoke again. As soon as she was done a devilish grin, slightly revealing his fangs, appeared on his mouth, "A gift..for me?" he asked seductively, "I wouldn't mind starting a few myself..You know I have little patience.." He then laughed and motioned for her to lead the way...

She smiled at him as he asked about the gift for him and she nodded. She then giggled at his next comment about 'starting his own fireworks'. She knew what he meant by that, but she was going to do what he had been asking her not what to do: she was going to make him wait. She was thinking a little more romance than just strait to the sheets. She nodded to him and then held out her hand to him and took a step towards the same alley they had both just walked down, one of them with someone, the other alone. Just like she had been for a couple weeks since the party at her home.
She sighed and wondered what her father was going to say about Dante. She had been unable to talk to her father since the party and she had not really needed the lecture from him at that time. She had way too much on her mind and even more on her plate. She sighed lightly at the memory of that night and shook her head mentally. And looked at him. "It's just a couple blocks away. You can see the manor house and garden from the room and the fireworks behind it." she smiled at him and waited still for him to take her hand.
