Harry stood on the front porch of what he and his family called home. Though, lately it seemed not to be much of one. Ginny was always out and about, he rarely heard from his kids at school, and Harry himself was even found being caught up in the swamp of mess at the Ministry. He loosened the black tie around his neck as he sighed, leaning up against one of the porch posts as he looked out into the sky. Oh how things had been much simpler back when he was at Hogwarts. Life back then to him use to be so complicated, but looking back on it now, it actually wasn't. The enemy was known, unlike now with all the random events the Death Eaters had started with out a cause, nor a leader at that matter.
Shaking his head, Harry turned away from the sky and opened the red stained oak door to his home, stepping inside and closing the door behind him. The house, unlike the family, was still the same. It was all nice and tidy, smelling of different magical potpourri, and still had that warm feeling of home. He sighed a bit at all the thoughts as he took his work coat off and hung it on the rack by the door. He pressed on deeper into the house, making a left at the first hallway and into the living room. It was just as tidy as the rest of the house, minus the clutter of newspapers by his leather chair. He walked over to the chair and sat in it, trying to clear his thoughts away from his family.
Though it didn't help. His thoughts switch from the family to the rising problems in the world, and even his old days at Hogwarts. Even to this day he was still plagued by the images of Tonks, Lupin, and Fred dead in the castle. He even found that his scar was starting to prickle again, and ignoring Hermonie and Ron's comments when he told them at a lunch one day, he started to wonder if there was another Voldemort out there.
The door clicked open and Harry jumped to his feet, the famous Holly wand already pointing to the entrance way at the door. His thoughts were still jumbled as he spoke. "Who's there?"

Lily had long forgotten what home could literally feel like, she was caught up in her own little confusing life. Well maybe confusing wasn't the right word, but she knew there would be a time that everything would end up out in the open, secrets she shouldn't share would be too loud to cover up. She had considered it, but only managed to tell James, and of course Axel of her slowly declining problem. Now she guessed it was time to either tell mum or dad, and well somehow she was hoping more her mother than father. Not both. She could handle one of them for now. Why her mother? Because that was who most girls turned to with the same problem.
She headed off out of hogwarts as soon as she could. Sneaking out of hogwarts was probably not the best thing when you had bellatrix lestrange tracing almost every move she made, but she did anyway. She couldn't really get in a much worse position than she already was. Maybe her dad was the best to talk to about that side of things. She only needed one of them, and hopefully they would keep their mouths closed over her darkest secrets, after of course taking action with their reactions. Of course Lily was expecting a worse one from her father if anything. She had helped in bringing death eaters back up and running behind her fathers back, and the only excuse she had was that she was stupid enough to get tricked into it.
Before she knew it she was home. It took her a little while to avert from lingering around on the front step, to gather her nervous wreck of herself and pull herself silently through into the house. It didn't take her long to find life in the living area, and the familiar voice of her father, Harry Potter cam to life. By the time she had reached the entrance his wand was already out. "Its me." she said quietly. "Who were you expecting? Bellatrix Lestrange?" ha she probably should have added the private little joke, it probably wasn't the best thing to come out with. "Is mum not around" she finally said, clearly guilty about something.

Harry stood ready, wand still pointed straight, as he stood a little ways from the entrance way to the living room. He could hear footsteps, light ones, like that of a woman. Maybe it was Ginny, finally home from work? He watched as the image of Ginny first appeared in the doorway, but not that of the one he married, but the one he fell in love with in his 6th year at Hogwarts, the little school girl version. He blinked for a moment and shook his head as a voice spoke, but not the voice of Ginny. Looking back up he saw the clear image of Lily standing in the doorway. He felt rather glad she was here, and gave a faint smile as if to pass that nothing had happen.
"Well you can't be too sure now can you?" He said giving a nervous chuckle as he lowered the wand, placing it back into his dress pants pocket. Yes, he was glad his daughter was here, but now the thought of her running away from the school finally popped in his mind, but first to answer her other question. "No, your mother's out as usual." he told her, trying not to give away his sadness at the now falling apart family. "But why aren't you at school? Is something wrong?" He asked, now looking rather puzzled.
He wouldn't get mad at her for coming home with urgent news, but if she was just here to be here that would be something different. Harry had a pretty decent relationship with his daughter until her Third year, then thats when things started to slack off in both her department and with his other kids.

It had of course crossed her mind to whether or not pull her own wand out at her dad. That would be a field day for Bellatrix lestrange if she did. But she didn't. No way was she taking on her own father. It was bad enough knowing she could possibly be put up against her siblings. Then again who knew what her fathers reaction would be about Lily being the death eater of the family. He might just do her the favour and kill her for her, but then there was also the matter of the baby. She didn't want that to die with her. That was what held her back from doing the job herself. Obviously her mother would be working, and her father at home. It was rare they were ever together as a family.
"Ha... i guess" she said awkwardly. Lily had at one point in her life been the daddys girl. Even if Roula was around to make lily the jealous type she still managed to worm her way in to sweet talking daddy. Now she doubted that would get her far now. As she had predicted her luck had ran out and her mother was out doing whatever she did while Lily and her siblings were at school. She always wondered if the family was about to turn to dust. Maybe Lily would be the final hit before it all fell apart. Then there was james and his marriage, she wasn't sure about al and roula, she never really spoke to them anymore. Let alone the majority of her family. "Oh... well i guess ill have to talk to you then"
She inched in slightly through the door way but didn't take a seat. There was the question she knew was coming her way. Why was she here? There were two reasons but she'd break one bombshell first and let the dust settle for that one. Then perhaps debate about telling her father she was a death eater. "Dad." she began unsure on how to put it accross. "Your going to kill me." she noted she left a moment silence, taking a breath. "Im pregnant." as it was with telling James, it was easier than it seemed. She stood warily waiting for a reply.

Harry's eye looked now extremely puzzled. Why was she acting so awkward? Did he smell bad? Maybe it was because of the whole 'family' matters that couldn't really be solved at the moment. Yeah, that was it. He put the thoughts away as she now spoke again, saying that she was going to have to talk to him, instead of her mother. At one time, Lily had been daddy's little girl. Harry had always made sure she had what ever she wanted, just like he did with James and Albus. Though it all had slacked off when Roula was born, he still treated all his kids equally, giving and taking here and there like a good parent should. But was he a good father? Had he slipped up somewhere in the plan? Maybe that's why the kids had stopped talking to him so much.
His thoughts returned though as his daughter spoke, inching slightly into the doorway but not managing to take a seat in her own home. He chuckled at first though at her first statement. "Lily, I won't kill yo-" Harry had started to say before her words cut him off and the sickening feeling he had felt almost Thirty-five years before exploded in his stomach and flushed its way though out his whole body. 'Your...what?" he said looking at her, his eyes wide and his skin flushed of its color. Now was the time he really needed Ginny here, here to witness the finally blow that would most likely cause this family to fall to pieces. He stumbled back a bit, placing a hand to his forehead, knocking his glasses to the floor. How could she be pregnant?!??! He blinked and now found himself seated in this chair in shock.
He stared at the floor. Bad father, that seemed a little like an understatement now. Worst father in the entire universe? Yeah that seemed more like it. He could feel his stomach churning inside him as he tried to keep his temper from raging through his body now. Maybe there was a chance to save this family if he just dealt with it the right way, instead of blowing up like he found himself wanting to do now. Still in shock all he could do was sit there and stare at the floor, his thoughts now clouded with abuse at himself for being just as arrogant as he had been when he was younger. Ginny was gonna kill him before she got to her, he knew it.

Merlin did lily feel bad. This would either pull the family closer or blow it apart, and then there was the death eater buisness. Maybe it was better to mix it in with her other news. Being pregnant would make her angelic compared to telling her father shes a death eater. How did she screw up so much? She bit her lip. Maybe her mother would take it better? No probably not, it would probably be the same ounce of shock. James had even taken it better than her father. She watched as shock washed through. She bit her bottom lip.
She knew he was cut short by her words. "Im sorry. Im really sorry" she said feeling a bunch of hormones building up. Last thing she wanted to do was crying but she could already feel the water works coming on and she fought to hold them back. She wanted to be strong not vulnerable. She knew this wasn't going down very well, and she knew she would of course end up returning to hogwarts to let the initial shock settle into the family. A baby on the way, babys were meant to bring joy. But when it was lily with the news it only meant bad luck. She was just pure bad luck.
She stood still, froze up, wondering what her dad was thinking. It didn't take long before she walked over and sat at the foot of his chair like she had when she was little. "Um.. if it helps.... thats the good news... i have bad news too." she began but said no more. She felt out of place, and she felt like it was her fault for destroying an admired family. She didn't want him to be angry but she knew she had brought it on herself. She waited to see if she got the go ahead. This would be the day it all went down on the records for sure. Family history would be updated to the new generation, and there was even another generation already on the way.

Harry was in a trance. Images flashed through his eyes, as if it was his last breath and he was trying to remember all the good things that had happened in his life before he died, but these images weren't narrowed more to his life, but that of his time with Lily when she was just born, till this very moment. He knew it was probably a mistake, the whole getting pregnant ordeal, but still he felt as if there was something else about to go down, about to send him into a really big fit. He didn't need to go into a fit though, he needed more to be strong and be the head of this household, and take care of this problem. Yes, it was a big shock, but it was still a mistake. Harry had made his share of mistakes in the past, and he knew his kids would too.
He heard her says he was sorry, but didn't reply. Instead he took deep breaths as he tried to let the shock settle in and his thoughts return to normal so he could talk to her without blowing up in her face and send her running back to Hogwarts crying. He saw her come into view as she sat in front of him at the foot of the chair like she use to do when she was so small. At first he though he was back to that time, and almost picked her up, but stopped when reality had finally sat in and his sense returned. He listened to her speak and placed his hands on her shoulders. "No it doesn't help, but first let me speak." he told her, trying to keep the so-called bad news away as long as he could. He looked into his daughter's eyes and gave a soft smile. "It was a stupid mistake, but I do not hate you ok?" he told her. That was the one thing his old headmaster had always admired of him, his ability to love past anything, and always see the good in others.
He took a deep breath, his hands still on her shoulders. He closed his eyes for a moment, knowing what he feared was about to come. "What's the bad news?" he asked calmly, his eyes still closed as if trying his best not to watch a horror scene in a movie.

Lily went through the same fase when she found out she couldn't believe it. She ended up doing several tests, only to get the same result. She knew the sickening feeling, morning sickness was already heading into her life, and she'd already had a rather small bump coming along. It wasn't like she meant for this to happen, she was scared but not just for being pregnant. She wasn't ready to be a mum, maybe thats why she wanted her own mum but she guessed she wasn't around, and wouldn't be until probably when lily had left to return back to school, of course after leaving a path of destruction behind her.
She had expected he would just explode and that would be it, her out of the family end of story. No, being pregnant wouldn't bring that along. She heard him speak and her gaze locked on to his. His reassuring hands on her shoulder. She took a breath expecting him to just go on som rant. But he didn't. She was glad he had said that. He didn't hate her, and that made her more reluctant to tell him the rest of the story. She considered how long it would take before they would hear exactly what she had spent the last six months doing, and it broke her heart to even think over it. "Ok." she nodded. How did she put that she had ruined her life into words? Everything out in the open. "What i say stays between me and you ok?" she didn't even wait for an answer. He either would or wouldn't.
She took a breathe knowing he was waiting for worse news. "Remember in the summer you and mum were really busy and all... well i sort of got into a fight. well no... i got taken, and then i was stupid enough to fall for their tricks. Im sorry i really am." she said knowing it would confuse him. "Bellatrix is back." she paused. "Im a death eater" and with that she was already in tears over it.

His eyes were still closed, and during that moment of silence before she spoke again, he prayed. Prayed that she wouldn't have screwed up worse, prayed that whatever it was, he wouldn't have to take matters into his own hands and become another hero. He was sick of the hero crap. Sick of how his family was always in the spotlight for something that happened thirty-five years ago. How he wished he wasn't the boy-who-lived. His scar prickled at the thought and the sickening feeling returned to him.
He took a deep breath in an attempt to keep his stomach at bay. His eyes opened as she spoke once again, saying that the next few things stayed between them. He was in mid-nod when she started to speak once again. It was slow at first, but picked up as she got frantic, talking about when he was busy with the new attacks on the muggles back in the summer. "Yes I remember, but I don't se-" but he was cut off again as she said the name he feared. Bellatrix Lestrange. Murder of his godfather in the battle at the Ministry. Killer of thousands. Voldemort's right hand lady, though she wasn't a lady, more of a thing. Harry's eyes turned cold as these thoughts occurred, and then Lily threw the final blow. "I'm a death eater."
Tears came to his eyes, both a mix of anger and sadness. He stood up quickly, as he started to walk away from her. "How could you!" he shouted, now standing in the doorway, leaving her by the chair. He turned around to face her, his face was red in fury. His daughter, the daughter that loved him so much, betrayed his words of wisdom, and became the one thing he hated. "I thought I taught you better!" It took all of his might not to get his wand out right then and there and start casting spells in anger at things around the room. He looked down, noticing he had crushed his glasses on his bare feet and was now trailing blood across the carpet, but that was the least of his worries. "You better have not dragged you siblings into this, Lily, or I swear..." He let out a puff of air as he tried not to say he'd kill her.

The second she spoke the words relief and hurt hit at the same time. She wasn't really sure what to do. Sit and watch? That was all she could really do. Sit and wait for her punishment. What punishment was there that her own father could give her? Hand her in to the ministry and send her off to azkaban. That would be a start. She hadn't meant for things to go so far, but she knew it was time to seal what fate she had, and now she was sat in a pod waiting for either bellatrix to kill her or for family to kill her instead. It felt horrid being the waiting duck.
Dominique would have put her in to worse trouble with her family if she was the one to break the news. It was better coming from Lily. There was no doubt, even the mark was on her arm to prove it. It was a legitimate, and she had been placed center of a battlefield to pick a side, and frankly she was being torn in two. Bellatrix Lestrange. The worst one she could side with she helped in destroying her fathers life, and when everyone thought she was dead, began to plan ahead. Began to plan to get her revenge for the fall of the dark lord. It was only luck that Jack Lestrange came accross lily potter. Perfect weapon against the potter family? One of their own. Of course it was. There was no doubt about it, it would be the perfect revenge and lily had gone along with it.
Then came the blow. It hurt yes, but she tried not to show it. Her wand was already out. She knew her fathers temperment. She knew the ending to his scentence. She was something he despised. There was no real changing that. "I got tricked into it, and then everything happened so fast." she began, excuses, she doubted they would get her very far. "Im sorry i really am" she cried getting up, gripping her wand rather tight. "Roula guessed." she admitted. "James knows." she added. "I thought it was better coming from me." she began "So what are you going to do? Kill me? Go ahead and try. But you should really know, i've had plenty of practise. I even helped Bellatrix burn down the three broomsticks a few months back. You heard about that right? It was her idea of fun, killing people in a pub then burning it down." she broke of there she wasn't sure where that came from, but it was clear bad lily was trying to break through.

Harry watched his daughter sit there as he went off. He was pissed. Who wouldn't be at this moment? Maybe Ron? No, Ron would have lit a fire under his daughters ass if he found out she was the enemy. Would Harry do the dame? No, he couldn't. Even though the mark was on her arm she was still the same Lily he had raised to this date. There would be now way on Earth he would kill her nor harm her. She was still there, she just went through a rough patch. Boy, did that sound familiar, almost like Snape's story of how he turned to the dark side, only to still be loving underneath it all. Lily was still loving through and through. Maybe there was darkness now to her, but there was darkness in all of them.
He could tell now he had set her off. She got up, crying, now yelling back at him with full force. Gah, she got just like her mother when she was mad, flustered, and ready to do what ever had to be done. He took another blow though as she told him James knew before he did. So that's why his own son wouldn't respond to his letters, nor give thanks for the new broomstick he had sent him for his birthday. He was angry now, but he didn't plan on taking it out on her, rather this just fueled him to become the hero again, chase down Bellatrix, and free his daughter from this.
He noticed the wand clutched tightly in her hand, her knuckles white from the vice like grip. In a flash his own wand was up and pointing at her. The last thing he needed right now was to use it on his daughter. He took a deep breath before speaking calmly, though he was still rather pissed. "Lily, I'm gonna have to ask you to put the wand down." He told her calmly. "No, I'm not going to kill you, I am rather pissed I will admit, but you're still my daughter none-the-less, so please, set the wand on the ground and come to me dear." This was his only chance right here. He begged and pleaded in his mind that she would do as he said and would come over to her. He kept his mind also prepared for the worse and tightened his grip on his own wand, his knuckles turning white like hers.

Lily knew she'd gotten her own stubborn temper from her mother. Maybe it was time to go, do a disappearing act? Bellatrix managed to hide away how hard could it be if the most wanted woman in history managed it. Maybe not. Maybe there was a chance to jump sides, but she wasn't sure who to go to anymore. Both promised protection from the other but Lily wasn't one to predict an outcome of war. It was a difficult position to be in, and not on that a fifteen year old should have been put in. Being pregnant didn't help with that. She could almost feel her hand shaking in anger, could she use her wand against her own father? Possibly, but it would all depend on her reaction.
James knew before hand because James was the elder brother. He was supposed to make things all ok, but he was only good for helping along with a pregnancy. He'd said he had a friend that could help her, one that had been in a similar situtation, and she had of course agreed. She watched her father cautiously. She'd lost trust in everything and almost even herself. She had no idea what her father was considering, he could have been preparing to take her down and send her off to azkaban with the dementors. It sent a chill up her spine from the day she had encountered two when she almost got dom sent to the same place.
Before she knew it her fathers wand was aimed at her. She panicked and raised her own. She considered putting the wand down, but her instincts told her not too.Wasn't it normal to clutch onto something that had saved her life on so many occassions, only to give it up. She shook her head a firm no. "Your going to send me away." she said stubbornly taking a step back. "Jack said this would happen." and jack had almost always been right.

Harry watched, his heart breaking slowly inside himself as his daughter raised the wand. He saw her shaking her head, stepping back a little ways from him. "What are you talking about!" he said, a little on edge. How could he not be after all that just happened. Now he was standing there, face to face with his own daughter, afraid that a dual was about to break out between the two. He knew if it happened that would be it. She'd run away. Run away fast and never come back. Harry would run too, but where to? the Ministry? Hermonie would of course alert every single person in the wizarding world and Lily would then become a wanted woman. He wasn't about to do that to his own daughter.
"No, no, Lily, I'm not going to send you away!" His was on the verge of tears now, feeling his insides being ripped apart slowly by some invisible force. "I just want to keep you here, keep you safe, keep this family safe like I've strived so hard to do!" He just wanted to get down on his knees now, beg her to just come, but he couldn't He had to be strong to show her he could support her in her time of need. "Lily, I'm going to ask you one more time, as your father, to please just lower the wand. You don't have to stick it to the ground, just lower it and come here, please dear."
His eyes were full of love and hope. 'Please Lily, just do it for dad, come on." His thoughts begged softly. "If you don't do it, I will have to ask you as an Auror to put down the wand, and I know you don't want that. I don't want it either." he told her softly. He could not be weak at this moment. "Come on Lily, just listen to me now, please.." his mind begged once again as his eyes locked with hers, his wand still at the ready to do what it needed if the time came. Oh how he wished that for once he was back int he past, still chasing down Voldemort's horcruxes, the non-busy Hermonie and Ron by his side as they did so.

She didn't break her gaze. She was unsure on what to do. She wanted to be the little girl that she once was but she'd crossed too many lines. She knew if she ran that would be it, there would be no turning back because she would be just like Bellatrix Lestrange. Wanted and dangerous. If she broke out a duel then she knew it wouldn't end well for either of them. Sometimes she wished James was around or someone that would guide her, but she knew if everyone she knew were in the room it would be half and half. She hesitated once more, still trying to think things through. Could she trust her own blood? She wasn't that sure anymore.
A part of her screamed lies another told her it was the truth, the rest? The rest told her to flee but she couldn't moved, she felt stuck into one place. She felt like she was about to plead guilty but she had already done that. She didn't drop the wand, she was thinking. Thinking took time especially when it came to lily. She had to move carefully now that death eaters had tracked on to her being so unsure. She rested her grip, he was asking one more time. She knew what would come if she didn't. He would take action. It was his job to rid the world of what she had become. She left it silent. She wanted to be strong, but she didn't know which way to go. But she forced her arm down, even if she felt frozen she pulled it back down to her side. She gave in.
"Im sorry" she said before bursting into another set of tears and collapsing to the ground. Her wand fell out her hand but she covered her face with her hands. "I don't know what to do anymore" she cried. "Please dont send me away, please" she knew she was weak. She was begging. "She's going to kill me, shes going to kill me" she said referring to bellatrix of course.

Images flooded his mind quickly of his daughters own life once again. He saw the images of the smiling little girl, rolling around on the floor with her brothers. He saw how she had grown up over the years and now realized it was all happening so fast, just like Ron had told him once. "You don't know what y'er missing till it's gone eh?" Yeah, Ron was right. But he wasn't going to let her go. How could he? She was his daughter, and even though he had hurt her by siding with the enemy, he knew that she could change. He knew deep down that everybody had the potential to be good, and that evil, true evil, only came to does who sought pleasure in it, and by what he could tell, she was just being like him, stupid and arrogant and trying to have fun.
He watched as she stood there, frozen solid, her wand still pointed to his chest, like his was to her he didn't know what exactly he was going to do if she didn't listen. Maybe bind her? Yeah, that seemed like a good idea. But what if she beat him for once, casting before he could? What if she killed him? The great Harry Potter, killed not by Voldemort's hand, but by his own blood. That sure would make great front page news. His eyes locked with her's still as he waited to she what she was going to do, his mind racing on ways to capture her without hurting her.
That's when it happened. Her wand came down and the tears flooded out like a breaking dam. He sighed out of relief. This was it, the turning point for the family. This would bring them closer, and he knew it. He also knew war was now on their hands. He hurried over to her, his own wand not lowering though until he was a foot from her. He got on his knees and wrapped his arms around her, holding her tight. "Shhhh Daddy's got you dear." he said, hiding his own tears of joy, rocking her slowly in his arms. "You're not going any where I promise." He told her reassuringly. "And she won't touch you, not while I'm around babydoll." He loosed his grip on her so he could look her in the eyes, his face holding a soft smile. "I'm pulling you out of Hogwarts first thing tomorrow morning, just until this passes over. You're gonna stay here with Me and your Mum." He hoped this would be okay with her, it was the only way now to keep her safe. Right now he couldn't afford to camp out every night in the Hog's Head.
