It was night time in London and Ashford Or Ash was n his luxurious apartment. He was laying down on his long red couch.He was pondering about a few things.He was thinking about Yumi. He wasn't that close to her but he could see something was wrong. The last time he saw her she did not look so good. He had actually heard (while listening in) that the girl might be being abused but know seem to care or act to do anything. The situation some how bothered him.He sat up and cupped his in his face thinking what to do.

Ashford got up from his seat and went into his office,He could not bear to know a child being abused he need to know the truth. He need to send her a letter.He need to tell her to come meet him and to talk. The only problem is that she might find it weird that he would send a letter to her knowing that he is an enemy of the family.He was just going to have to send it anyway.

Dear Yumi,

I was wondering if you possibly could meet me at my apartment ?it''s something important. Please come ASAp!,

Ashford sealed up the letter and gave it to his owl. "Make sure this only goes to Yumi and no one else."He said giving it to the bird.Now all he had to do was wait in his home. He didn't know how long it would take but he could wait.There was nothing really too do. He just hope she get his letter.he really did want her parents getting it, that all he need was his angry enemy coming to his house yelling at him.

Yumi was in the middle of fighting with her sisters when she recieved her letter.
"YUMI!"
"Minute!" She called down to her sister.
"NO, NOW!" She ignored it, opening her letter.

Dear Yumi,

I was wondering if you possibly could meet me at my apartment ?it''s something important. Please come ASAp!,

Yumi cheered silently and clambered out of her window. A chance to get out of that hellhole.

Arriving, the thin girl knocked on the door, then entered.
"'Scuse me, Mr. Bliss? You wanted to see me?" She asked nervously.

Ashford jumped out of his seat when he heard the knock. He was not expecting it at all since he fell asleep.He heard Yumi's voice."One second." He said tripping over his feet tiring to get to the door in a rush.Once he got to the door it opened it to see Yumi."Hello Miss.DarkRose ,I do want to se you.You can come in."He said moving his hand. He left the door to walk in. As he walked "Do you want anything to eat or drink?" he asked politely.He had always asked a guest that question, it was only right.

Once he was in the kitchen he wondered how he was going o approach the situation. He just did not want to burst it out there. He did not want her to feel weird and run off because he made a mistake in his words."You can take a seat in the living room."He told her and wait for her first reply.He open the refrigerator.He sat back thinking and waiting.He should have planed this out earlier but he did not. He really wished he had stayed up.He starched his head and finally came up with an idea. Now all he had to do was get back into the living room.

The withdrawn poppet asked for nothing, thanks, when she got asked if she'd like anything to eat or drink. She wasn't hungry nor thirsty.
"Um, OK."
She called to him from the living room, "So, um, how are you?" When what she was really doing was wondering why he wanted to communicate with her. He and her family were enemies, and she wasn't about to get blamed for something they'd done to frame her, if they had.
"Um, Mr Bliss? I know what it might seem but I haven't done anything if my parents have told you otherwise, it's them, I haven't done anything wrong I know it might seem that way but I haven't I haven't I swear I haven't Mr Bliss..." Yumi burbled, as she didn't want to get in trouble for anything whether she'd done it (Though that was unlikely} or not.

Ash heard her reply "Oh ok are you sure?Well I'll take a extra drink in."He said pulling out two Butterbeer. He walked into the living room and put down the drinks on the coffee table." Well I am fine and how are?"He took a seat as he answered. He had listened to hear as she talked about her family and laughed. "Oh no girl. It is nothing that your family has done."He said getting rid of the idea for her.

He was know to her has the enemy of the family. They hated each other. They had gotten into a major fight before and never liked each other the first time they meet.He could understand her reason why she asked that question to him."Well I should probably tell you why I asked for you."He said relaxing himself a bit."Well I was wondering if your ok?Like if there was something wrong?You know family wise?"He take a breath of relief to get it off his chest.

"Well I am fine and how are you?" Yumi thought. She opened her mouth, about to say 'terrible' and reveal all, but she couldn't. Her family would make her life hell, way worse than the horrible things she was going to face when she returned home and they discovered she'd gone. So, instead, she said, "Fine." It was far from the truth but Yumi felt it was what she had to say. She was, in fact, rather confused she was here. Her family were Ashfords' enemies. She wasn't sure what to think, and wasn't sure if Ashford classed Yumi as an enemy. She was the exact opposite from her family, the way her parents wanted her to be, and, sometimes, the way she wanted to be. It sure would make life a whole lot easier. She wouldn't have her ugly scar, her natural sadness and it had gotten so bad she'd decided to run away. Then came a question Yumi had certainly not been expecting, "Well I was wondering if your ok?Like if there was something wrong?You know family wise?".
"Yeah!" Yumi answered quickly, "Why wouldn't I be? I told you, I'm fine!! Nothing's been better!"
Ok, now this was far, far, far away from the truth. Too far for her liking, but she couldn't let on, she didn't want an identical scar on her other cheek. She smiled uneasily at Ashford. Who'd told him? And would he let on he knew to her parents? Good Lord she hoped not. If he did, that would be the end of Yumi.

Ash gave a sigh when she said 'She never been better'. He could tell she was lying because of how she acted. The only things is he could not get her to say the truth. "Yumi..."He said pausing a bit,then rubbing his temple."Are you sure?This is the only chance I can help you.So you must make the decision before the opportunity is passed.'He said. HE was trying to give her a chance to tell him the truth. "If you say nothings wrong I will never ask you again but.."he said pausing "If you are having some kind of problem I can help you."he told her giving her her chance.

He wanted to hear her answer and hoped it was the truth and not the lie. He was only going to give her only one chance and one only. He did not like being lied to. The truth was the only thing he wanted to hear. He know that she must be afraid because of her family but hurt her again but if she just told him he would protect her.He would not anyone hurt her and he would make that promise to her but he had to wait for her answer before he thought ahead.

"What has it got to do with you?" Asked Yumi. "You are my families enemy. Are you just dragging me along?"
She must have confused him when she said, "Besides, I'm going to start looking out for myself in the holidays." She looked at him. "Ashford, I have nothing to do with you. You don't care about me, why are you asking me about my family? If you want to talk about them, go and ask them yourself. I am not doing your dirty work."
She got up. "Now that's cleared, would you like me to leave?"
Yumi wanted to tell him, but he was not her family's friend and she'd get brutally beaten if she revealed. The sweet scent of butterbeer brought her to her senses, she grabbed the cup laid down for her and it was drained in a matter of seconds. It was obvious she was very, very hungry, but she wasn't rude enough to just go, "Get me summit to eat." She wasn't like that.

It had made him angry. He did not like people assuming things. Just because Her family and him did not get along did not mean he wanted something done. “ I would never drag someone along unless I had too and I am not doing that to you. Why can’t you see that I’m not going to harm you.” He said telling her. He just wanted her to understand. He wanted her to be able to trust some for once and not be afraid.


“I’m asking about you, you really don’t look so good.” He said pointing out that she looked skinny. He looked forever since she last ate something.” Oh you can leave if you like.” He said pausing he was watching how she drained that drink like she never have one again. “Unless you like to stay for something to eat. I get lonely sometimes you know?” He said trying for her to stay and see how she ate. He wanted to see if she was being feed right and not starving because her family wanted her to suffer.

"Yeah well sorry if I have trust issues." the young'un muttered under her breath, making sure he couldn't hear her. Then, he hit her weak spot - her weight.
“I’m asking about you, you really don’t look so good.”
"Oh no." Yumi groaned. "Please don't you start too! I've had enough of this with Trevent and Jacob and Lily! Just because I faint, doesn't mean I'm underweight."
She wasn't in themood to stay, but her heart twanged when he said she got lonely.
"Um ... OK. I'll stay. I'm not really hungry though..."
