--- i'll be there when you close your eyes ,. ( HOLD YOU TIGHT, SAY GOODNIGHT ) Lucy Weasley was, in all honesty, a bit of an oddball. She was tucked up in the North Tower with multiple books spread all around her, her quill tucked behind her ear as she paged through a large volume, looking up information on the goblin wars of the 1600s for her Ancient History Class. While some people might have made a point of sitting in the library or the common room, Lu hated sitting in such ordinary places, and she couldn't stand the noise. So she tended to carry her homework to some rather unusual places. When the weather was nice, she sat out by the lake to work on her homework. Of course, the weather wasn't really permitting that now, and so she was forced inside. And again, she found some rather unusual places. The North Tower wasn't exactly a prime spot for any kind of hanging out, let alone homework, but that was why Lucy liked it. There were few people willing to climb all those stairs to get to the North Tower, and the younger kids couldn't find it anyway, except when they needed to, thanks to all the moving staircases.
The thought made her smile a little bit. She remembered her first year at Hogwarts. Granted she had been lucky, as she'd had family to show her the ropes and hadn't just been all by herself in her travels. She was also quite the outgoing little thing, and so it was no big deal for her to meet new people. She was good at it, and was usually the first one to introduce herself when she met a person she didn't know, which was rarely. It seemed like she knew practically everyone in the school.
She drew a deep breath as she slowly forced her attention back to her homework. Oh how she hated Ancient History. It was by far the class she hated the most. Thus the reason she was doing that homework first. It was always easiest to start with the hardest homework, or what you liked the least. Or at least, that was how it was for Lucy. That way when you were tired, all you had left was the easy stuff. It worked in theory, anyway. Of course, homework in general just sucked, and there was little you could do about it, but Lu tried to give herself all the favors she could. For all she was a major trouble maker, she was also a good student, and she rather took pride in her work. So, for all she hated books and homework, her nose was to the grindstone as she tried to finish up all the homework that had been assigned so that her weekend would be free.

Homework. Piles of homework. Damn professors. He didn't feel like doing it but if he refused to do it, he'd have to speed through it on Sunday night. He was always getting in trouble, this was no different. He'd just get extra homework and prehaps some lines. Nothing he hadn't got before. Despite his attitude toward his work, he always learned. He'd scored mostly Outstanding (O) s in his O.W.L.S, which surprised all of his professers, luckily. He was an Ok student, he supposed. So instead of leaving it to a last minute dash on Sunday, he wanted peace, so he left to the only place he could think of : The North Tower. Besides, peace helped him and if he got free time on Saturday, he could see Aurora. Dougie sighed, a small grin creeping from the left side of his face, as he finally left the stairs and walked into the North Tower. Funny, looked like someone was already there. "Hey, Lu." He said automatically, his grin widening. "Damn homework, eh? Budge up, I want a space. I'm freezing." He plonked himself down next to the girl. He gave her a gentle shove. "Ancient History?" Dougie questioned,a laughing hint in his voice.
Notes - Sorry it's so short xD

--- i'll be there when you close your eyes ,. ( HOLD YOU TIGHT, SAY GOODNIGHT ) Lu glanced up as she heard someone scaling the final stairs that led into the North Tower, feeling a little like a deer caught in the head lights. Who knew who was coming up here, and there was only one stair case. All in all, it left her feeling a little trapped. A slight sigh of relief slipped from her rose colored lips as she recognized the figure making his way up the stairs. It was just Dougie, her sister's boyfriend, and, funnily enough, one of her own friends. They knew each other through Aurora, of course, but had developed something of a sibling-like relationship.
She grinned when he told her to budge over. It was a little chilly up in the tower, but, of course, she hadn't noticed until he said so. She scooted herself over, and feeling goose bumps prickle on her arms. Funny what the power of suggestion could do. Usually, Lu wasn't bothered in the least by the cold, but, just because he had said something about it, now she could feel a shiver run up her spine. And, as was her usual, she hadn't brought a jacket with her. She rarely thought of things like that; she wasn't exactly the most practical person around.
She rolled her eyes as he poked her Ancient History book. "Unfortunately" She responded dismally. "You have no idea how much I hate Ancient History..." she started to say and then paused. "Well, yeah, you probably do, actually" she finished with a laugh, shaking her head slightly. She shifted herself to a more comfortable position and shoving her books over so Doug had a little more room.

"I do, Lu. I get an earful of it when I come round to your house to see Aurora, eh?" He grinned. "I can help, if you want." Then Dougie realised something, him and Aurora. "Lucy, I've something to tell you. 'Bout Aurora." He inhaled. "We're not together any more." He sighed, glad to get that off of his chest. "Lucy, don't hate me. Please." He muttered. He sighed.
Notes : not much muse...
