Jack sat behind the counter with a sour expression on his face. This was his least favorite of the business's he owned. He hated to work it, but for some odd reason he was short on help in all of his business's. He couldn't have killed that many of his employees, could he? Whatever it's not like they didn't deserve what they got. He really wondered where his assistant E.J. had gotten to. Soon he would have to have half of his students working for him. Alot of people were afraid to work at the three broomsticks because people were constantly being murdered there. This however was not all his fault. He had only killed six people there as far as he could remember. His mother, and former aprentice had killed all of the rest.
As he thought about his former aprentice, he wondered what had compelled her to return to hogwarts. He had been sure that she would have done anything, and everything to avoid him. For some reason she showed back up, and right down the street from the bar she knew he worked at. Either the girl was crazy or she was trying to get back at him somehow. He was sure that the young girl still blamed him for ruining her life, when all he did was set her free from the laws of society. Of course she didn't see it that way though. He needed a new apprentice now, but he wasn't sure as to who to take on. Most of his students would be far to eager, and that was not what he wanted in his aprentice. He wanted someone who was completely different from the others. Someone who was very powerful, but on the other side of the chess board so that he could convert them.
As he thought about who he could possibly get for his new aprentice he was absent mindedly blowing up a cookoo clock, and reparing it over and over again. He felt like he was very far off from figuring out who to choose. He knew that Dom would never do it, and in effect neither would Anton. None of his slytherin students were on the other side of the chess board. Helena was to far off to be able to do the things he wanted her to do. Rose was far to good to be swayed to his side. Who did he know that was both powerfull, and vulnerable. This was when the answer finaly came to him as if he should have thought of it long before. Peyton would be perfect.

Draco walked down the small alleys of Knockturn Alley with a bored expression on his face. Nothing seemed to hold his attention anymore. Not even the things that used to entertain him as a child. But he didn't really blame himself for that. He was a much different person now than he was when he was say... sixteen. He groaned at the thought of that year in his life and moved around some people. He looked disgustedly in their direction and moved on. As much as he had changed, he was still a little wary of others that didn't seem like him. There was always going to be that wariness.
As his thoughts continued to roam, he spotted a familiar store with a familiar person working inside. Figuring that it had been a while since he had seen his cousin, he stopped and pushed open the door, letting it close behind him as he looked around. The place was... dusty. Well, at least that much hadn't changed. Draco could only remember when he came in here with his father. He hated it. There was never anything interesting to do. And the thought of his father just made his blood boil.
Walking up to the counter, he leaned on it, head resting on his hand as he stared at his cousin. It was obvious that the man didn't know he was here. "Busy?" he asked, hoping to wake the man from his focused stupor.

Jack had been staring off into space not really paying attention to anything. He was so bored he would have taken any break from this mundane day he was having. It was then that he heard the voice ask if he was busy. His head snapped up to see his cousin leaning on the counter. He put on a large smile that was actually quite conivncing. Only because he was happy to have anything to do.
Granted Draco Malfoy was far from his favorite person in the world. He was of a pure blood family. A family that was a corner stone in the death eater establishment, and had great wealth yet he gave it all up to help those who his family had been fighting for many years. To Jack this was a disgracefull act, and he would have loved to tell his cousin how he felt, but he wouldn't dare.
Draco was in the ministry, and Jack did not need to give anyone inside the establishment reason to look at him. Though His uncle Lucius new who his father was they had always lead Draco to believe that it had been his mothers husband, a Lestrange through, and through. Jack had also made sure that his cousin knew nothing of his death eater activities, and thought of him only as a business man.
"I wish I was busy. I haven't a clue as to what I was thinking when I bought this hole in the wall." He joked flashing his smile again. Sometimes it even surprised himself at how skilled he was at putting on a front, but then again he had been doing it constantly for many years. He was good enough to pull the wool over any ones eyes. "So how are you doin Draco. It's been a while since you've been around these parts. You aint lookin for trouble are you?"

Jack seemed a little jumpy and that was unusual for him. But Draco wasn't as stupid as he thought he was. Draco had known for years about Jack and he intended on getting to the bottom of it right now. This hadn't been his initial plan when he walked out of his house this morning, but he figured it was a good idea now. Why not find out why they lied to him all these years?
"Trouble? No, of course not. I'm just coming to see why you would lie to me for so many years." he said casually. It surprised him to know that Jack thought he was as innocent as he made himself out to be. He broke away from his father, that much was true. He worked for the ministry, that was true as well. But he was a full fledged Death Eater to the day. It was hidden quite well, and you could ask his aunt herself. She had given it to him first hand.
Lifting his sleeve a little, he showed the mark before covering it back up. "Honestly, would I lie to you?" he asked with a small smirk. Well, if the situation called for it, he would, but he didn't see any reason too in this particular moment.

Jack laughed lightly at his cousin. This time the expression was sincere on his face as he smiled. He leaned back against the wall, and he examined the man before him speculatively. Though his cousin didn't know it it was his mind that had confirmed his words to Jack. Now he thought over the words, and how best to reply to them. Surely he wouldn't be to honest. That just wasn't his style.
He rolled up both of his sleeves to show that there was no mark on either of his arms. Those who knew him well enough knew that he couldn't have the mark on his skin. If he did he would constantly summoning the death eaters. Then again he had no other marks because he did not like to be tied down. He preffered that no one had the right to tell him what to do. It was the way it had always been.
He smiled at his cousin. "Don't take it so personally Draco. You surely are not the only person I have decieved." He slowly rolled his sleeves back down. "To do that which I must I have become a master of deception. I've lied to absolutely everyone I have ever met. This is nothing new." His eyes scanned the shop, and with a small twitch of his hand the door slammed shut, and locked.
"The biggest lie I've told you is the same lie I've told every one the dark lord did not feel was worthy of being in on his great secret. Before his death only he, my mother, and your father knew. Mine, and Cassandra's father is not the man you believe him to be. The dark lord himself is our father. I am the dark prince." He smirked, and he waited for his cousins reaction.
Draco may have known he was being lied to, but not even Bellatrix would tell a person that secret. It was Jacks to disclose as he saw fit. Those who had been told were always very shocked at first, but in the shock they would quickly realise that it explained many of Jacks traits. How when he became angry his eyes burned red. How he had been skilled at the cruciatus curse beyond any one else at just the age of seventeen. And why snakes always seemed drawn to him.

The dark prince, huh? Well, Draco had to admit he hadn't seen that one coming, but it didn't surprise him. In fact, his face still held the smirk that it had when he finished his last sentence. Chuckling at his cousin as he looked at the now locked door, he pushed his sleeve down and jumped up on the counter, sitting comfortably. "That's cute." he replied with a grin. Much was explained now, of course.
Like that freaky eye thing? Yeah, he truly thought his cousin was a freak growing up. At the time, he had thought it impossible to be related to a freak, but whatever. In time, he and his cousin had an understanding. Maybe not a close friendship, but not hatred either. "So what's the next big plan then, oh glorious master?" he joked.
It was funny that he knew this now. His cousin was the dark prince. (ahaha). Some burden that he would never have to bare, but the jokes would be marvelous. Just like they had always been, only better.
Sorry this took so long!

Jack laughed at his cousin. As if the little jokes would actually bother him. He dealt with much worse on a daily basis from the minds of those around him. Now that he was actually paying attention he was not going to be caught off guard, so he didn't react at all when Draco jumped up on the counter.
"Well cuz as for whats next I will be laying low for a little while after just completing my third large massacre this year. The ministry will be flipping out trying to capture the dark prince since they now know that he is the one causing all the chaos along with my mother. Then I will be having my insider in the ministry turn me in to earn their full trust, and to move farther up the corporate ladder."
He laughed a cold cruel laugh. "Don't think for one second that I work for my mother though. I work with her not for her. I do my own things, and I only tell her what's going on when she absolutely needs to know. I am independant of the death eaters I am just voluntarily helping her out."

Draco shook his head as his cousin spoke. Well, maybe he didn't have many people to talk too. Especially if he was here alone all day. But then he was speaking massacres and what not. Draco wasn't sure if he had heard anything about any massacres. But then again, he was in his own little world lately. Go to work, eat, go home, sleep.
His daily routine didn't include much. "Turn yourself in? Well, that's... clever." Kind of. Draco wasn't sure what to think of that, but he didn't feel like questioning his cousins plans or motives. Whatever he wanted to do, he could do. There was no use in arguing with someone who seemed so sure of their master plan.
"How is she anyway? I haven't seen her around much. Then again, I haven't seen many people." he asked. His aunt was a little something beyond him, but he figured it was polite enough to at least ask.
