Aidan walked down the sidewalk, pausing every now and then to glance in a window. He had to finish his Christmas shopping. It was more important this year to find the perfect gift for Nina than ever before. And he had no idea what would be the perfect thing. After the confrontation in the Village, he wasn't sure at all what was going on nor what was going to happen. So, he just strolled down the line of shops, hoping to see some thing that screamed Nina. Thus far he was having no such luck and decided to take a break. He entered the small pub. It wasn't one of the more popular ones and he thought, perhaps, no one would know him. Ordering was a scary affair. Some of the items on the menu were not exactly what he would deem edible. It caused him to reflect upon where he had wandered into and what kind of people they normally served. Which in turn determined that he would have to watch the other patrons. One, he was sure, was a hag. She had a good costume and glamour on, he would give her that. Still, he could See past it to what she really was. Aidan felt a tingle as he finally finished ordering. A vision was coming. Quickly, he made his way back to his table. Flashes of light streamed through his mind and scenes that made no sense at all ran wild. Once again the girl he knew as Kelsey starred in them all. She was the only clear image in the cycle that seemed to replay all the time within his head. He didn't know what it meant or what she was supposed to do. Just that she was important to them all. They were in the same house and the same year, but Aidan was quiet and never got the chance to know Kelsey that well. Now, he was unsure if he wanted too. Fate swirled so much around her that he didn't wish to get tangled in it. Still at times he longed to understand the visions better and being closer to her would bring some clarity. Shaking his head, he cleared it of those thoughts. Some things were always out of one's control.

Oh what a life the seventeen year old Kelsey LeBlanc led. She was still so young to the world and yet all this stuff had happened to her. She was taken over, fought it, had her heart broken, mended it, got married, and managed to patch her relationship with her father then break it also. She had a talent for making things good the awful again. She sometimes asked herself why she was a huge screw up. Thing would go good in her life, then it would be turned upside down again. Maybe she was a jynx. Who knows!
Being so close to Christmas, and Kelsey being a huge procrastinator, she found herself yet again shopping for presents last minute. She was always so terrible at picking out that one special present for someone. She never knew what anyone wanted. As she walked down the stone sidewalk, she searched in the store windows for present ideas. Maybe one would just jump out at her. But after several hours of looking, she needed a drink.
Kelsey made her way to a pub on the alley, entering it with a smile on her face. Who knew that shopping could be so stressful? Maybe after a couple of rounds of firewhiskey she would be able to think more clearly. Lately Kelsey had been turning to firewhiskey to help take the edge off of her life. She needed something to provide her some sort of happiness. After her father found out about the marriage and freaked out, Kelsey felt as though things could not get worse.
"I'll have a firewhiskey, and make it strong," Kelsey say to the bartender as she walked by the bar. She found a table across from a familiar guy and sat down. Who was this boy? She had seen him around the castle. Curse her for being so terrible with names! Come on think, think. Oh yes! That was Aidan. A smile roamed across Kelsey's face as she remembered the boys name.

He was sure his shock lined his face. In fact, he was a little upset with himself over that. Had he not learned to cover his emotions better? He thought he was lucky enough for her not to see it. Kelsey didn't seem to see anything but the bar. He started to wonder if it was his fate, to be swirled into her life. Aidan should embrace it. Who knew better than a Seer that you can't escape your fate. Sighing, he waited. He knew she would come over. It was just one of those things that hit him and he knew. Like on the days it would rain. Useful skill that one, more so than the flashes of light and terrible dreams. So, he worked on his fish and chips and pondered why a girl so young would need a firewhiskey so early. "Little early to be out on a bender?"He spoke to her as she sat down at his table. There were other free tables and they were barely beyond first name basis. Yet, there she was, sitting across from him. Already, Kelsey was nursing her drink. He, himself, avoided any kind of spirits. They clogged his sight and made things worse. His Gram had once made sure he understood it all. He picked more at his food, thoughts of that night lingering. Aidan didn't know how to even speak to Kelsey, let alone tell her that the fate of the Wizarding World appeared to be hovering over her head and choices.

Why Kelsey sat across from this boy she will never know. She just felt this strong urge as if she should talk to him. Like this was destiny or something. Kelsey didn't believe in destiny though. She felt as though you make your own destiny. Prophecy's could easily be broken. Well that is what she thought at least. Kelsey looked at this boy in front of her, wondering what he was all about. She never did have a real conversation with him. She had no clue what his background was like. Where he came from, what he knew. She could just sense this thing about him that drew her to him. Not romantically, but spiritually.
"Christmas shopping makes you want to drink. I hate buying presents. I never know what to buy people," Kelsey said with a smile on her face, taking yet another long drink from the glass. She could feel a slight buzz take over her, but not enough to make her loopy. Kelsey could feel the awkwardness radiating between the two of them. Maybe sitting down here was not the best idea. Kelsey thought she should just finish off her drink fast and leave. But that would be rude.
"So how have you been Aidan? I haven't seen you since like the beginning of the school year," Kelsey said with a warm, welcoming smile. She wanted to make Aidan feel as though she was his friend, even if they didn't talk at all.

^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^ So naive I keep holding on to what I want to believe ^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^ Most of the time he wish he was just a normal wizarding boy. This exact moment was one of them. How nice it would be to be normal, just worried about exams and other things that seemed almost petty to him. But instead, Aidan was cursed to See odd glimpses of the future. Or the most likely future, his Gram stressed. Things were just too much for the sixteen year old boy. True, his birthday was coming up, but that was almost a month away. Then, he would be of age. Why couldn't he muster more excitement for it? Because he was so aware that the fate of the wizarding world hung in the balance? Perhaps. And the girl with the most power was sitting at his table, in a random pub, drinking a firewhiskey while he ate his fill of tuna.
Kelsey Potter neé LeBlanc was an odd girl. No one would ever deny that; no one could ever deny that. She wasn't pretty in Aidan's eyes, more of an uniqueness that made her attractive. He wasn't tempted, he had Seen things about the girl that mortified him. Secretly, he hoped that he was just going crazy and that nothing would happen. But, he knew better. With the awkwardness settling in after the comment she had made about the holidays, his hopes were dashed. Kelsey had to be a smart girl, but she had no idea the fates swimming around her. It made him want to just groan. Of course, he wouldn't out loud, that would make him seem crazy. Aidan swallowed, weighing out his response to her attempt at small talk. Her smile appeared to be real, and she was stating facts. He allowed a small smile in return and decided to answer truthfully.
"Very well, actually. I'm taking Nina to the Ball this year. And you? I heard you tied the knot."
He spoke in his usual quiet tone. But inside, he was agitated. Aidan had never been a big fan of small talk. He had more important things to talk about with his fellow Ravenclaw. But he was realistic. Depending on her reactions, he would judge whether or not it was safe to broach the topic of the future. Kelsey might be the only person Aidan feels the need to explain his gift too. Might, that is.

Kelsey was seriously contemplating on leave. She kept getting this vibe that Aidan did not want her there. She felt as though he did not like her or something. Maybe it was the firewhiskey getting to her. It seemed like Aidan had a secret. A secret that Kelsey really wanted to know. However, it would be rude on her part to go nosing around in Aidan's business. No she would have to keep her cool and just mind her own business for once. That would be key in this predicament.
"You are taking Nina to the ball? Oh that is cute! She looks to be a really nice girl," Kelsey said with a warm and welcoming smile. When she heard what he said next, her heart stopped a bit. News of her marriage had spread quickly throughout the wizarding world. She did not know who told everyone, nor did she want to. If she knew who told everyone, Kelsey would most likely go into one of her fits on the person. It had been awhile since she had one of said fits. The last time was when James broke her heart. She quickly pushed that thought out of her head, not wanting to think upon that memory. But why did she have these fits? It was like she had multiple personalities or something.
"Wow news travels fast but yes, I am married to James. Things have been amazing. I've never been happier," Kelsey said with a smile upon her face. Though she was happy, she felt as though there was a part of her that wasn't. It was the same part that would control her fits. This part only seemed to be happy whenever she was doing something bad. It was the part in the back of her mind wanting her to join the Death Eaters. She knew she couldn't join though. Her husband would hate her.
"Are you expecting someone or would you like to be alone? I just sense that you don't want me here. Maybe I am just being paranoid," Kelsey asked, wanting to know if she was wasting her time by being here. She didn't want to stay here if Aidan did not want her here. If he wanted her to go, she would happily leave to see her husband. Taking another sip of firewiskey.

^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^ And I See it Those hidden dreams you have ^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^ Aidan knew he had many flaws. And that it was wise to acknowledge them. As such, he was pressingly aware of the fact that his pitiful attempt with his housemate at small talk was failing tragically. It was almost like a toothache. The kind of pain you just flinch at but can not seem to do anything about it. Yes, that perfectly described the current tension between them. And he felt helpless to stop it or change it. He made little nods in response to her comments. A smile tinting his lips as she referenced Nina, his own special lass. He understood the happiest she spoke of, even if he was not in any sudden rush to be wedded. Nina was his now and he was positive she always would be. He just hoped that didn't make him sound possessive and creeperish. But at Kelsey's direct attack of questioning, his eyebrows raised.
Aidan didn't see a reason for him to not want her there. Was he acting like that? Surely, he wasn't being cold or a sickening sweet fake. Just himself, quiet, reserved and full of random thoughts. Except where this girl was concerned. He shook his head. "I came alone, expecting to see no one. However, do not like this bar you from remaining. I would enjoy the company. I fear, I just am a failure at small talk, or rather talking much in general." A grin pulled at the corners of his mouth, begging her to share in his humour. Aidan didn't stop to think if he did want her company. His thoughts were focused on making sure she didn't feel upset or offended. He almost wanted to join her in her bender. Sighing, he pushed his plate away from them both.
