Letting Milly fix his tie, he looked at his daughter, “Don’t worry, she’ll be fine with me.” Alec tried to reassure his nerve wrecked wife. The man had always been a formal dresser, whether it was out for dinner or out for a wander. Milly had began tightening his tie a little totight, “Let me do it love,” He said quickly, feeling his airway slowly getting cut off. Loosening his tie, he leaned against the kitchen counter, “Milly, my mother is taking you out for the day, why are you so worried?” Alec asked while rolling his eyes and drinking his coffee. It was almost twelve in the afternoon and the Lott family where just preparing themselves for their day out. Alec had decided to take Sophia out for a few hours, trying to find any entertainment for her as possible, while his mother had treated Milly to a day out shopping or whatever the hell they where doing. He didn’t really give a damn what those women got themselves up to.
“Whatever you do, do not, I repeat, do not mention that I’m at home. The last thing I need is my mother inviting me out with both of you.” Alec warned his wife, in a serious tone. Alec had never been a fan of his mother's company. Yes, he loved her dearly but being in her presence for more than an hour drove him insane. Planting a kiss on Milly’s lips he walked her to the entrance door, “Enjoy yourself love,” He reminded her, making sure that she wouldn’t forget to do so. She would probably just sit worrying all day, but he hoped she’d have a little faith in his child minding.
“I guess it’s just you and daddy,” Alec spoke to Sophia with a mischievous smile. Slipping on his daughter’s coat, he grinned at her, “I think we should go a walk, but before we can do that I have to keep you warm or mummy will beat the shit out of daddy,” He couldn’t help but smile, if only Milly heard him say that, she really would kill him for cursing around a child who was at the influential stage, where they would copy and repeat anything. With his smile, Sophia began to smile too, just like she always did. Really, it was hard to picture his daughter without that perfect smile. Alec was pretty sure his parents had to force him to smile as a child, but Milly, he was positive that her parents experienced the same thing as he was experiencing with Sophia.
Walking down the cobbled street of Hogsmeade, Alec tried best to hide his face from the busy people that passed him. Being the captain of a world wide known qudditch team, he was pretty well known. But still, hiding his face hadn’t seem to be all that successful as the more he continued to walk, the more people began to realize. “For crying out loud,” He whispered under his breath, trying to block out the stares.
Located on a little side street off the main High Street, Madam Puddifoot's tea shop remained open and incredibly welcoming for Alec. He was in dire need of another coffee. Sitting down, he rested Sophia on his knee who seemed entirely content with scanning her surroundings, “I’ll have a coffee please,” The young man asked, handing the money to the young waitress who soon fled after they exchanged galleons.

“NOOOOO! No mommy I want to come with you!” Emily yelled as Shiloh stood at the door with her coat and scarf already on. “Mommy please let me come with you.” She said looking up at Shiloh with teary eyes. Shiloh really did need the day away from everything; well that’s what Jamie had been telling her for the past two days. That she needed a day off, but right now her baby was making this hard for her to leave. “Mommy please. I want to come with you. Please mommy.” She said already standing their with her little boots on and her jacket in her hands. “Please.” Shiloh looked up at Jamie giving him one of those get your daughter looks, but it didn’t work. Emily just started pitching a bigger fit. How sometimes she wished Emily took after her father, and not her in this department.
See Shiloh was the type of person who kept on and on until she got what she wanted, just like her daughter. As soon as the tears started, Shiloh couldn’t’ say no. Putting her purse down her took her daughter pulling her jacket on and putting on a small black scarf around her small neck before picking her up and sighing. “Come on Emily.” She said simply before looking up at Jamie and kissing his cheek. “I will, I mean we will be back soon.” She stated before taking off out of the door.
Shiloh wasn’t shocked that Emily didn’t want to be left back at the house. Mainly because for the last four years of her life she had lived with just her mother. Not her mother and father like was now, so the young girl was still adapting to it, well in a way. About five minutes after their walk Emily had passed out in her arms. Shaking her head Shiloh figured the young girl must have put up a fight to come so long that it just tired her out. Just the thought of that made her smile.
Well anything that the little girl seemed to do made her smile. Her laugh, her smile, her way of speaking, everything brightened her day. But she too believed that every parent was like that. Making sure that she was sound asleep Shiloh decided to apperated, instead of walking the rest of the way. She knew though that it normally made her daughter sick when she was conscious so she normally fled away from doing that…
Seeing that her daughter was sleeping soundly. She figured that maybe she could still get her relaxing in, or not. She did have a shit load of papers to grade for school… But that could wait? Right…
With the brisk wind busting up against her face she knew that she needed to get somewhere warm, and were better than Madam Puddifoot’s. They did have the best warm drinks in Hogsmede, and something warm right now was exactly what she needed.
Holding the small three year old, that looked identical to her, besides the blonde hair, to her she walked threw the door feeling the warm air hit her skin causing it to slightly turn pink from the heat. Taking a deep breath inhaling the scent of tea and coffee, Shiloh smiled walking over to the lady ordering a large coffee before turning around and looking for a place to sit.
Right as her blue eyes started skimming across the people, she spotted someone she hadn’t seen in a while, Alec Lott, with his and Milly’s daughter. With a small smile, and her sleeping daughter on her hip she walked over to the table. “Well hello stranger. Mind if I sit here?” She asked with a genuine smile on her face.

Alec was beyond exhausted, too exhausted to keep a watchful eye on his young daughter, but he must, he needed to. Work had been incredibly tough, late nights, like the previous night, where bothersome. His team where grand on the pitch but with the world championship finals only around the corner, they had to work double shifts whether Alec liked it or not. As captain it only made things that tad more difficult. He hadn’t arrived home until midnight last night, only to find Milly waiting patiently for him to come home and Sophia already sleeping. And now it was his fault that his wife was exhausted too and had to stick the rest of the day with his mother.
Turning his neck to look out the window, Alec shivered visibly. Outside looked to bloody cold to be wandering about and indeed it was, he was just thankful he resided in the small coffee shop at the corner of Hogsmeade. While turning his neck, completely oblivious to the situation that was happening around him, Alec mind wandered off ever so slightly. If only he had known that Shiloh Smith had also entered the coffee shop with a young girl, around the age of his own daughter, if only a year or two older.
“Sir, here is the coffee that you had ordered.” Bringing his attention back to the waitress, Alec nodded his head, offering a small thanks. Caffeine, just what he needed. He hadn’t welcomed a cup of coffee so much in his lifetime. Bringing the cup to his lips, Alec allowed the roasting liquid to fill his mouth and slide down his throat, leaving behind a small burning sensation. It was just what he needed when he was this exhausted. Hell, he couldn’t remember the last time he was ever this tired. Alec was always fond of his sleep and when he was deprived of it, it just didn’t make him a nice person to be around. Well, at least that was what his family had always told him. Everyone except Milly, simply because he didn’t enjoy showing her his groggy side in the mornings, that was if she ever had the chance to witness it.
Looking down at his daughter, she rested her head contently against his chest. She seemed pretty tired too. But, it was always Milly who was able to sense these things. “Sophia are you tired love?” Alec cooed softly to her, but as stubborn as he was, she shook her head. “No.” Her outburst was rather loud but nevertheless, if she said she wasn’t tired he wasn’t going to persuade her to sleep. Lifting the miniature muffin that always came with a cup of coffee, Alec handed Sophia it, “Here, do you want this?” He offered curiously, looking into her steel grey eyes, almost identical to his own pair. Nodding, she seemed to contently take the muffin into her grasp and begin to take small nibbles from it. “I think once daddy finishes his cup of coffee and you finish eating your muffin, we should head back home? What do you say?” He asked, and the only response he received with the small nod of his daughters head. She seemed far too interested in that muffin to care what her father had to say.
“Well hello stranger. Mind if I sit here?”
Alec and his daughter’s head turned at the familiar voice. There she was, the perfect beauty herself. A smile played on his lips as she asked could she take the seat beside him. Arching an eyebrow, Alec remained silent until it was no longer possible. Pushing himself to his feet, he placed a small kiss on Shiloh’s forehead, “Hell, I see you everyday for ten years straight and the next thing I know, I rarely see you once a month.” The young man commented with a laugh before looking at Shiloh’s sleeping daughter. “Ofcourse, join me.” Alec insisted, pulling out her chair while managing to hold Sophia in his arms.
Returning to his previous seat, Alec smiled, not being able to refrain from remembering how close the two where. How close they had got, especially the night the two had hooked up and seemingly betrayed their fiancées. “How have you been love?” He asked her while lifting the cup of coffee and taking a small drink.

To say Shiloh hadn’t been busy lately was an understatement. She has been having to shuffle a lot of things lately. Her death eater job. Her school work, being a professor was tough. Along with being a mother, and a girlfriend all at the same time. It wasn’t as easy as it sounded like. Not at all. Defiantly trying to keep the death eater work away from the school… Even though the head master was a death eater, she still didn’t want to endager the students.
But pushing all that aside she secured her daughter on her hip and smiled as Alec stood kissing her forehead. He had always been her favorite brother out of the Lott’s. Trent was always so soft. Yeah he was nice, and she did enjoy his company because he was great with kids, but Alec always was well, she didn’t know. There was something that just made her better friends with him threw out the years.
Hell the two even slept together one night. That was something her and Trent never did. She didn’t know why, but it never happened. Yeah the two were drunk, partying actually. She happened to be there when Alec was there. They both seemed to want sex, and before she knew what had happened the two had shared the night together. Betraying both of their fiancés, but it was a one night drunken thing. Shiloh and Alec had agreed to keep it that way. Between them and only them.
“I know. We use to see each other every day of the week, hell most of the time I was staying at your family home. But now it seems like he has to be a special event or an accident to see you.” She said with a bright smile as he pulled out the seat and she sat down placing her daughter in her lap feeling her lay her head on her shoulder. “Me. I have been fine actually. Caught up with work, Emily, and now Jamie. Did I tell you that he came back like two weeks ago.. out of no where he just showed up.”
Shiloh knew that she had went to Alec and Milly the first time Jamie left her pregnant and alone. They were completely aware of all of that drama. How she told him she was pregnant, four months pregnant at that and the next morning he disappeared before she woke. Broke her heart. Completely ripped it out of her chest, and well she was shocked when she decided to take him back. But maybe it was for the best…. She didn’t know.
With a smile though she looked at Sophia, she was defiantly Alec and Milly’s child. She was the spitting image of Milly, but with her father’s eyes. Just like Emily was the spitting image of her. Well in a way, they looked just alike, but with Jamie’s blond hair. They were both beautiful children in her opinion, and they had always seemed to get along well..
“And I must ask how you have been dear. How are you and Milly?”
