Ace Longbottom mindlessly sat at a small cafe in Diagon Alley. She sucked on a peppermint stick that had come with her cup of hot cocoa. Ace was waiting for her sister, Alina, to join her. Ace had a mental list of things to talk about with her sister. Number one being her New Year's party, and the second family stuff.
Ace was having an extremely hard time with this adoption news. She hadn't really been wanting to talk about it with anyone. Ace needed to get her sister's opinions. She wanted to know she wasn't the only one feeling like she did. Ace just felt like her entire life was practically a lie. She knew it wasn't but, she just felt like it. Ace was covering it up with fake smiles. No one knew that she felt like this and Ace wasn't sure how to deal with it all.
She sighed, and began to absentmindedly stir her hot cocoa with the peppermint stick. Ace had at least one thing going right, her party planning. She wanted to throw the part of the year, ringing in the new year. She had everything in order, now she just really needed to formally invite Alina to the party.

Alina was a homewrecker. She made it essential that she find taken men and make them leave everything they have for her. Most women hated her, though she did not care. She didn't know why she was like this. She was certainly not raised to be like this. She was raised by Neville Longbottom, the man who could not flirt his way out of a paper bag. It must have been from her mother and father where she got this. See, Alina and her sister Ace were adopted. They had just found this out and it came to a shock to her sister, but Alina was relieved. She knew she was different from her adopted parents. She was sorted into Slytherin, she was always breaking the rules, and she would always fight with her adopted parents. It was a relief to her to know that she was adopted. It explained so much about her life.
Alina walked the streets of Diagon Alley, on a mission to see her sister. She had recieved word that Ace wanted to see her at a little coffee shop. Alina, loving her sister, saw no reason not to go. Alina had always favoured Ace. Though she hated the rest of ehr family, it was Ace that made her stay and not run away all those years ago. Alina protected Ace and made sure no harm would come to her. That is what sisters were for. Arriving to the coffe shop, Alina's eyes gazed around until they landed upon Ace.
"Hello dear sister," Alina said in a happy tone as she smiled and sat down across from Ace. "You wanted to see me?" Alina stated, her eyes filled with warmth as she looked at her sister. Alina and Ace had many similar features. Both had flowing dark hair and piercing eyes. They were both very beautiful. They were truly sisters.

The appearance of Alina startled Ace. She hadn't been expecting her to just appear. Ace's mind had seemingly ran off on her. She had been concentrating on her party to keep her thoughts off of family...and other things that came to mind. "Alina!" Ace said with a bright smile. If anyone would understand her feelings, Ace knew that Alina would. She had always been different from the Longbottoms. It made Ace wonder how she blended in with them.
Ace scoffed, to joke. "I haven't seen you since the beginning of term and all I get is 'you wanted to see me'? No hug?" She pouted playfully. Ace waved her hand. It didn't matter really. All that mattered was Alina was able to pry herself away from whom ever it was she was with these days to spend time with Ace. "First off, I'd like to invite you to my New Year's party," she said with glittering eyes. Ace was extremely excited for the party. "You can bring a guest....just not some...old fart, okay?"
Ace knew quite a lot about her older sister. She wasn't sure if Alina knew that she knew things but, they were things Ace wished she didn't know. Particularly being that Alina seemed to like to trap men into giving her everything. It didn't matter if they were dating someone else, engaged, or even married. Alina worked her way in between. Ace, quite frankly, didn't understand why Alina would want to ruin someone who could have very well been happy with who they were with.
