Charlie wasn't sure if he did right trying his best to stop her, to make her feel better when it had no result. She wanted to be alone with it, she wanted to deal with it herself. She never asked for help. But it was how he was so he tried to help. He cared for his friends, especially that he hadn't many of them.
A boy looked at Yumi with worried face. He listened to her and sighed. He wondered what would it be what he would not like. What he heard caught him of guard. He would never expect her saying something like that. He opened his eyes widely and shook his head not wanting to believe it. "But… but why? It can't be that bad." he paused looking for good words to say. "It sounded as if you were desperate."

"But… but why? It can't be that bad." Yumi snorted. "Wanna bet?" She turned to glare at him, her glare then turning to an apologetic smile. "Sorry. I'm just sick of them, Charlie. I've dealt with them for the last time. I'm giving them what they want." "It sounded as if you were desperate." "I am. What else am I to do, sit there and take it for another four years? Yeah right. That's really going to happen." Her voice dripped with so much sarcasm even if she had a shovel she couldn't put more sarcasm onto the words. She looked at him. "Charlie, I'm not asking you for anything, like money, so why are you trying to help?" She'd never really had many people to be kind to her. "I'll be fine, you know I will. I've had to learn to fend for myself. It's paid off. You needn't worry about me, Charlie." She smiled at him brightly. "All I ask is that you tell no-one , not 'till I've run away. From there, I'll keep myself hidden."

Charlie's voice was very worried. He couldn’t help it. He just couldn't stand seeing his friends being miserable. It hurt him to bones. And then Yumi's glare just made it worse for him. He didn't want her to dislike him. He just tried to help but maybe it wasn't enough. Maybe he couldn't understand her situation. Of course he couldn't! He had never had to deal with something like that. What a muggleborn can know about these strict purebloods' rules? Nothing if he had no one to explain him everything and was… well, too lazy to find it out himself. But the truth was he didn't really care and didn't want to understand any pureblood line and their system values. It just seemed bad for him that some of them can be that evil to hurt their own daughter, sister etc. only because she wasn't like them.
"So, I assume I can't stop you." A boy sighed really sad. "You are my best friend. I promise I will not tell anyone. You can trust me. But as you said, I don't like it. But if you can't think of a better alternative I can do nothing else." he said and shook his head. "I'm sorry, I… I will go now. Just suggest you to re-think everything." Charlie turned away from her sight and moved from his place to leave Yumi alone because he thought it was what she needed.
