Lily Potter once more had the inability to sleep. What was going on with her? She was only pregnant? She always thought that made you sleep more not kept you awake. But of course things had been happening just a bit too fast for little miss Potter and she just wanted it all to slow down. Perhaps it was her mind trying to pick up time from some where else, less sleep meant more time right? Sure she could just blame her mind that was probably on some sort of edge of a breakdown. She couldn't become some sort of insane girl when she was planning to be a mother could she? Merlin she was going to be the worst one around; and she thought some muggle families were awful? she was sure to skip right to number one. She groaned stepping out into the freezing cold. Why did she come out?
To think, walks helped her think; Plus if she wandered in the castle any longer she was sure to get caught, it was after all her being out of bed during the night was sure to score some prefect that just hated her some bonus points. So outside seemed best, even if it was cold and snowy. Lily hated the snow, she prefered the summer somehow, but not those days that just felt like there was no air, just the summer, no school, no nothing just her, but this summer had just been ruined before it had even started, she would have a baby in the summer. Something that was going to destroy whatever was left of her life. Oh how much fun she was going to have picking up the pieces.
Would there even be any pieces? She was sure it would have all turned to dust by the time she got chance. She sighed glancing up as she noticed she had wandered a little too far into the forest. Damn her legs; they just seemed to have a mind of their own. She didn't stop; she just kept walking. What was there to fear in the forbidden forest? Half the time she had wound up having detentions here. She heared a twig snap and she span around wand already out to see who it was. "Who's there?"
Doug inhaled sharply. He never got peace when he needed it. The halfblood boy came out of the shadows, his teartracks visible on his face. He hoped she did't realise he was a Gryffindor.He'd never take part in that type of fight. Blood and house seperations meant absolutely nothing to him. He hated it when Slytherins automatically assumed he was going to fight them when he wasn't.
"What's a young thing like you doing out of bed in the cold? You'll freeze." He spoke gently. "Are you needing this?" He asked, taking off his jacket and offering it towards her.

The last thing she needed was someone else around to spoil her time to think. If anything it threw her thoughts out the window and some things just needed to be thought about. At first she had been contemp, but now? She was sort of annoyed, she couldn't remember where she had gotten up to and now here she was with someone coming out the shadows. Her heart almost stopped at the thought of it being Bellatrix. She knew that was how the woman entered the school grounds. No one ever thought any death eater would come through that way in now did they. She kept her secure grip around her wand. She remembered what Jack had said. Run from the woman, but the figure came out appeared to be a boy.
He seemed much older than herself and slowly she brought her wand back down to her side, before muttering "lumos" to light the area up. It worked but only faintly, after all she didn't want some wierd creature to come and attempt to eat her or something. She didn't care much for the boy. Over further inspection he was crying. Crying? Crying for what? She had hit rock bottom he was probably sky high in her case. She went to speak but he beat her too it. She had to think before she spoke her reply.
"Thinking." she replied simply back. She didn't exactly want to say what about, because she was sure the news would catch like fire and be around Hogwarts in no time. The site of him with tear tracks made her want to cry. Damn emotions. Or at least hormones. She wished she had none. She bit her tongue attempting not. He offered her a jacket, and even though she had known she would be out into the cold at some point of the night, and yet she had been stubborn enough to bring nothing but a long sleeved top. Which was a thin layer at that. If it wasn't for her hormones she would have been stubborn enough to refuse the jacket, but instead she nodded taking in and putting it on. "Thanks, but wont you freeze now?"
Dougie shrugged. "I'll be fine."
He smiled at her kindly. "Are you feeling OK?" He asked. No, of she wasn't, her aura was not, but no-one knew he was a physchic. He wasn't about to let on. "It's just, you seem upset about something." The concern showed in his eyes. He was a very caring boy to anyone and everyone, a bit of an optimist, some would say, but only other pyschics would know he did see thedark things in everything as well as light things.
"You know, if you want to talk, I'll listen. I won't tell anyone, I promise."

Many said men could stand the colder longer than girls, but Lily wasn't honestly sure and she was not one to prepare some sort of experiment to find out. She wasn't a ravenclaw. It was just a thought. He said he would be fine, but of course if guilt sunk in then she would hand the jacket back. Her mood swings seemed to have been giving her whiplash lately and it wasn't something she was proud of. She knew people would start noticing but so far she thought she had done pretty well in hiding it, just pretending to be cold heartless death eater lily which of course had happened during her early two month break from school and well it gave a great cover.
Lily wondered how long it would be before people would notice. Would it be from her mood swings or someone spotting her being sick in the morning? Or would it be from the bump? She knew sooner or later people were going to catch on, and once the spark to the fire was lit it would all be around school. She hoped Axel would stand by her, she knew James would and Chris? Maybe. She knew he didn't like Axel anyway so no doubt he would. But then the boy spoke and her face almost dropped. One slytherin once said that they couldn't show emotions and since then that had become a fact. No slytherin liked to feel weak, and the same went for Lily.
"I seem upset? Well i am i guess." she brushed the hand through her hair quite proud that it had not yet become notty. She knew she was a walking contradiction. Her mind wanted to be a death eater and yet it wanted to be a mother and yet she wanted to be that eleven year old innocent lily potter that walked in and sat under that hat. If she did it all again she wanted to be a gryffindor. Or a hufflepuf. Whoever heard of a hufflepuff being a death eater? She knew she was light and dark; good and bad. She knew one day she would have to pick a side, and that would be a hard choice. She wanted to walk away but her hormones got the better of her and decided to speak for her instead. Dougie laughed. He couldn't help it. A fourth year threatening a seventh year. It was, admittedly, quite funny. He laughed until hot tears ran down his face.
"I-i-i-i-i'm Sorry, That's funny!" He managed to calm himself down, and there was silence as Dougie thought about how she could ruin her life. Then a small `ping!` floated into his head. he could read her mind ...
Before the slightly Bad Dougie could take over completely (for he'd already done it, but only got as far as her name), the Good Dougie turned away from her.
"Please don't try and look at me, Lilian. I will do something really, really bad and you'll hate me." He whispered, forgetting she hadn't mentioned her name and that was definately questionable. He hung his head in shame.
"I'm a terrible person."

For the long time he laughed Lily stood there highly unimpressed. Sure she was a fourth year threatening him who was older than her, and was a male to begin with so he probably thought he could over power her or something. Well he by far knew what Lily Potter had actually been up too. Destroying the three broomsticks with yours truly bellatrix lestrange. Now she had to admit that that day was one of the best days of her life, even if she had murdered people somehow she had caught herself looking up to bellatrix as a role model! And when she was in that stage of life, she ended up going through a death eater stage. But that was what she had been made into. A cold blooded death eater prepared to help Bellatrix destroy her family and the ministry. But recently she had been jumping the deck. She couldn't choose, and the child in her life was her newest main concern. Which was safer? She couldn't predict the future. She wasn't that lucky.
She scowled at the boy, watching him laugh it up and for a split second she had the feeling to just pull out her wand and make him pay for his laughter. Just a quick curse and then maybe kill him. Jack would hide the evidence right? On second thought probably not. She never thought the boy could read her mind, she knew Jack could, Jack was always screwing with her mind whenever he got a chance. But she had let her gaurd down around anyone but Jack and maybe it was time she learned her lesson. She folded her arms around her chest both trying to show she wasn't amused and she wanted to keep the warmth from the jacket he had given her in.
"What? You don't think i could do it? Then you don't know that much about me then do you." she scowled back. "Lilian? And when did i tell you my name?" everyone called her lily, people rarely knew her full name and it wasn't natural that he would use her full name compared to the general 'lily potter'. She wondered if it was Jack screwing with her mind again but guessed not, it registered that someone was up with the boy. "Oh you think your terrible? Then maybe you should try doing some of the stuff that i've done. Have it waying you down all the time" she snapped back before walking to face him again. "Go on, show me what your made off." she edged him on. Dougie looked at her with a strange look. He wasn't in the mood and ws feeling provoked. Then said, "Interesting life, Lily. Or to be exact, Lilian Luna Potter." A flash came to his eyes. Badish Dougie was in control, and he couldn't break free. He didn't even know what he was saying.
"Well done on your kid by the way. With Axel as well. A werewolf, your mind tells me. You were scared it would eat you alive. You're fifteen, a death eater and burnt down the three broomsticks. And thinking of killing me so I won't blab or laugh. Well kid, you know -" Then he stopped and turned away, Good Dougie evidently back.
"What happened?" He asked, what did I say?"
"Lily, what did I say?!"

Lily was one to provoke, she enjoyed causing trouble and could deal with consequences whetehr she liked it or not she would take the consequence with her head held high. If she did something wrong she wasn't at all afraid to pay for it but she would attempt to avoid it as much as possible. In any case she knew she was going to have to pay for all the wrong she had done, and even if that meant being dragged down by bellatrix herself. "W..what?" she stopped abruptly giving him a strange look in reply. What the hell did he know about her life.
And before she could even ask he was blurting out things that he shouldn't even know, things that he wouldn't know. One person came to mind. Jack? Possibly. It seemed like one of his sick mind tricks, and she knew how he liked to keep her gaurd up. She wasn't one to test Jack. She pulled out her wand but didn't raise it. Just incase but she wasn't sure what this lad was really going on about. Just speaking about her life? She almost cursed him there and then. There was no way he knew what she was thinking?
And just as quick as it had happened, he turned and changed once more. Screwed up kid? She could hardly talk. "what the fuck was that? How do you know about the baby? How do you know about me being a death eater" and at that moment of flushing anger she raised her wand at him. "And how the fuck do you know i was thinking about killing you?" Dougie looked scared. Well and truley scared. Not about Lily, about himself.
"It happened ..." He shook his head, taking a step backwards, as if unable to believe it. "I thought it had stopped! They forced it to stop! No, no, no... It can't be happening again!" He inhaled, looking around. It couldn't have come back, his mindreading abilites. Not again. When that happened, the evil side came out, especially if he'd been provoked. He suddenly realised there was a fifteen year old in front of him.
"I was ... It ... I read your mind. But ages ago, someone forced it to stop for me. Yet it's happening again." He shook his head again. He looked around, wondering of someone was there, but no. He was completely on his own with this girl. And she probably thought he was a phsycopath.

Well done lily, you found someone much more insane than you were. Maybe he had the freaking split personality thing? But that wouldn't explain how he read her mind. Occulmency? Possibly but she always though that was hard to learn? She grip her wand tight. She knew what crazy people could do, she had of course been one step of being a bellatrix lestrange not so long ago. He backed up a little seeming to go through some stage of shock. And well began speaking his mind. What he first said confirmed lilys fears of him being some sort of psyco. And she herself was preparing to just run for it. Well, she wanted to run, but her legs kept her planted to the ground, her mind had interest on just how far she could push the boy and to figure out what had just happened.
But just as she went to turn he spoke to her, realising he was not alone in the forest. She paused to hear his stuttered answer, and was not impressed. He read her mind, and the thing with lily, she hated people reading her mind. "You did what?" she said, venom flowing through her words as an expression of anger fluttered by. "You dare ever read my mind i'll blow you to pieces ok?" she added before pausing for a moment. He knew everything, well what ever "side" knew everything about her. And what was it she learned from jack? To clean up her mistakes. "But of course that might happen now. Everything he said, everything he'd done to Lilian came flooding back to him. Dougie was confused. It was like he'd managed to gain another personality. And he knew what she was capable of, he couldn't put his foot in it.
"I know nothing." It would be pretty easy to believe, as he'd only just been asking her what he had said a few seconds ago. He knew what he had to do, he didn't want this girl blabbing he was a phscopath with a split personality. Any mindreader had the ability to not only read thoughts, but to inject them into a persons head, and no spell could defend that. So they, mindreaders, could pretty much control someone. And Dougie had to do something. He put this order into her head, 'Forget that phase. Forget I spoke, or read your mind. You don't know me, we're just meeting again. When I clap my hands, fall asleep. When I do it again, wake up.'
He knew it had worked, it had to. He clapped, then removed the coat form around her. Dougie clapped again. He held out his hand, acting along. "Hey, my name is Dougie. Why's a young thing like yourself out here? You'll freeze. Here, take this." He passed her the jacket again.

Lily knew he would say something like that, and she couldn't be sure if he was lying or telling the truth, at times like these she wished for Bellatrix's ability to tell if someone was lying or not, and she knew that would have been a great advantage to the right user. Not that she would be a right user, but it would still be handy to have. Before she had a chance to reply, she sort of went a little trance like, hearing his voice in her head. Strange, she'd never had anything like this happen. And just as he clapped she did as she was told falling asleep.
When she woke to the boy it took a moment to remember what she was doing in the middle of the forbidden forest, but even then she couldn't really remember. "Oh..." she said confused. "Im lily... and i don't really know what im doing" she looked to the jacket wanting to refuse but her hormones got the better of her and she accepted it, and well threw it on. "What are you doing out here?" she asked confused before looking back to the castle. "Are you heading back?" she added.
