..hold her liquir? [open]
Braiden found herself back to where she was just a couple months ago visiting her dear friend Keaton. She smiled lightly and pressed the glass to her forehead. The thing that was wrong with her was almost readable on her face. She was lonely and the guy she had intrests in, did not seem to notice that she existed. She rolled her eyes, pissed off at the fact that she had giving him so many hints and he just turned a blind eye and cold shoulder to them. She grabbed the bottle from the bartender as he came to fill up her shot glass again. He gave her a look and then asked what was wrong with such a good looking girl as herself. She shook her head and rolled her eyes, pressing her lips to the neck of the bottle and taking a big swig.
"Oh. You know. The normal 'pissed off at the man' gal right here. 'Cept he doesn't even seem to know that I exist... What... What gives a man the idea to do that to a gal that's givin' the hints?" she asked him. He was about to speak when a drunk man rested his head on her shoulder and told her that he didn't know, but that guy was sure missing out. She rolled her eyes again and punched him in the face and he fell out cold on the floor. The man behind the counter laughed and told her thanks. That man, who was now out cold on the floor, was not paying his tab anyway. She nodded and poured another shot. "Why don't you take a drink with me? Ya got a break comin' up?" she asked him. He thought for a moment and told her he was off at one. She nodded. "I'll be right here," she said, pointing to her chair. He laughed and waved her off and headed to the end of the bar to help another man and his girl get a drink.
She looked around and envied everyone that had someone to cling to at the moment. She looked at herself in the mirror behing the booze and shook her head. She she thought she was at least pretty. But all the guys that wanted to date were just looking for something more. She just wanted someone to be with and just have to hold. Her hand went to her shoulder and sighed. If only you were still here, little brother... she thought to herself. It was years later, and she still missed him. But she had done something a lot of people haven't: she traveled the world in a few months with her brother before... well... before he left the world behind. She hated the world 'death'. It just sounded like the end of everything. She would like to think that there was something more later on... that a 'death' was rather just like a passing. Like she studied in Egypt: Great Kings of the past were burried with all their posessions, servants, and gold to prepare them for the afterlife in the other world.
She wanted to believe that so bad, but she knew that none of those kings had been alone in their lives... she was. Who
