It sucked. Alyson had had so many outrageously fun and exciting things to do over the holidays. Her birthday was ruined, and the welcome home of her dad - she had to miss because she was stuck in the dim and boring wizarding hospital, St. Mungo's. The longer that Alyson stayed in this torture chamber she'd began to address the hospital as 'St. Mongo's', since she was certain that she was going mad. But many visits from family and friends somehow kept her sane, for most of the time.
Alyson was becoming more and more distrought when the days grew shorter, and school was starting so soon. She'd missed a whole month of playing with her sisters, hitting the streets of Diagon Alley with friends. But she had some insperational vibes now and then, and was greatful that her mother had brought her little book of lyrics, that was more like her special little secret diary. Alyson would pour her heart into that small, scruffy and tatty old book. But it was apart of her life.
Today, there was a difference. It was raining outside, and the halls and rooms surrounding her were silent. It was a little spooky. lsyon couldn't do anything but stare ahead of her, into space. There were no vibes of insperation today, no siree. She sighed, looking away from that small dot on the wall, again wishing that spattergroit had not chosen her. It sucked...

The Ravenclaw wonder has entered the building.
Kelsey hated hospitals. Scratch that, she despised them. She was terrified of them. Then why was she in one at this exact moment searching the halls for something? That is because one of her dear friends was in hospital at this moment. Kelsey would do anything for a friend. She would risk her life for her friends. When she had heard that Alyson was in the hospital, Kelsey jumped into the fireplace and flooed over to the hospital as quickly as she could. She hadn't seen Alyson since the end of term, yet she was facing her fear of hopitals just to see her.
Kelsey walked down the corridors of the hospital, looking for room 207. That was the room Alyson was currently occupying, like a prison cell. As Kelsey walked down the corridor, she heard something behind her. Kelsey looked behind her to see a nurse holding a huge muggle needle in her hand. Turning pale, Kelsey bolted down the hallway, running into a random room. She slammed the door, putting her back to it to hold it shut. Panting, Kelsey looked around to see that she had found Alyson's room.
"There is a nurse, with a needle, like the size of a broomstick out there. This place is not safe! They are insane I tell you, INSANE!" Kelsey said in between pants, sounding insane herself. Kelsey was an abnormal person. She wasn't like every other girl. She would dance to the beat of her own drum. Also, Kelsey knew how to make an entrance, though she never means to.

Recovering and bored as eck, Alyson sat up in her bed and flicked through Witch's Weekly, as she'd done atleast thirty two times. Nothing seemed to appeal to her. The excitement of learning about the new gossip, and what's what had dimmed after the fourth time reading the stupid magazine. Shaking her head and rolling her eues, Ayson threw the pages across the room and sat in silence, wondering if anyone else had suffered this amount of boredom, she guessed not. There was nothing at all to do, except for staring out the window, like a movie she'd seen, but was acually forbidden to do as it was created by muggles. Alyson didn't understand it all. She actually adored muggles, and actually wished for a TV in this room.
Lying back against her hard hospital pillo, Alyson was just about to doze off into a hoped for snooze, but the door unlocked and she found her eyes had flashed open again. It was strange for her to admit, but she was embarrased by the fact of anyone watching her sleep. When the door opened to reveal a familiar and quite ill looking face, Alyson's own face lit up and her eyes sparkled. She sat up again, but acted as casual as if it were the wind that had opened the door. She smiled at an old friend - Kelsey LeBlanc, who looked as if she'd just faced her boggart. And when Kelsey spoke, Alyson nodded, understanding Kelsey's fear of hospitals. Alsyon then smiled a warm and welcome smile.
"There is a nurse, with a needle, like the size of a broomstick out there. This place is not safe! They are insane I tell you, INSANE!"
"Uh yeah, Kels ... but that's normal for hospitals. The needles will have some kind of antidote or whatever." As Alsyon informed her shaken friend, she threw back her covers and stood up, looking perfectly well as she grinned at Kelsey and hauled her into a rib-crushing hug.

Friends
"Well I know that! But do they have to make those blasted needle so big?! It could go right through you and kill you! I am never, ever ending up in a hospital. I will die before I come here again!" Kelsey said, her phobia of hospitals getting the better of her. Not being a normal girl, Kelsey was scarred of very strange things. Hospitals, blood, needles, animals of any kind, the bark off trees, were just some of her strange phobias. However, her strangeness is what made her so interesting.
"How are you feeling?! Why are you in here anyways? I heard my blasted mother talking about you being here to one of her friends. Merlin knows she doesn't have the decency to tell me. She would rather me jut be gone than tell me anything!" Kelsey said, hugging her friend back and rambling on about her loath for her mother. Kelsey and her mother hardly ever talked, along with Kelsey and her entire family. She was the outcast of the family, and she liked it like that.
Kelsey walked Alyson back to her bed and made sure she laid down before taking a chair near by and placing it right next to the bed. Kelsey analized the room, noting that it was not a fun place to be. The walls were a boring, dull white, the lighting was horrible along with the fact that she was alone in here all the time.

"Well I know that! But do they have to make those blasted needle so big?! It could go right through you and kill you! I am never, ever ending up in a hospital. I will die before I come here again!"
Alyson looked rather disturbed by how upset and afraid Kelsey really was, but smiled. She was used to Kelsey's odd and unique ways, and almost admired Kelsey for being who she was. It was one of those moments were Alyson was greatful but at the same time amused, by how much she loved and treasured having a friend quite like Kelsey - she was one of a kind.
"How are you feeling?! Why are you in here anyways? I heard my blasted mother talking about you being here to one of her friends. Merlin knows she doesn't have the decency to tell me. She would rather me jut be gone than tell me anything!"
Alyson shrugged, not realy knowing how she felt exactly. There were a whole load of emotions surging through her, most of the positive ones had occoured when Kelsey walked through Alyson's door. "I feel fine, and hopefully I'll stay that way for going back to school." She said, sounding determined not to fall ill again. Some people would enjoy being sick, and having all the attention, but Alyson would rather be outide and enjoying her free time rather than wasting it sitting in a hospital room all alone. And the smell wasn't so plesant. "Oh, your still not on terms with your mum? Aww .. I'm sorry, Kels." Alyson tried. But she knew what Kelsey was like, oddly enjoying being the rejected daughter. Alyson looked at Kelsey with sympathy at this heart breaking thought, admiring her again for how brave and indepentant she was.
Alyson moaned at Kelsey, as if she were Alyson's mother. "I'm fine .. I'm just in here to rest." Her last word had air speech gestures added. Alyson knew that the nurse was just keeping her here to make Alyson suffer more. She couldn't wait to be rid of this hell hole once again. "So how's everything?" She asked when she was lying upright in her bed again. "Aren't you so excited for going back to school? I'll share a compartment with you on the train! Yeah?" It was utterly clear that Alyson was looking forward to returning to the blissful life at Hogwarts.

It is a mess
Kelsey wanted a relationship with her mum, she really did. However, Kelsey and her mother were just too different from each other. She would rather be on her own than be like her mother. Did that make Kelsey a bad person? Or a bad daughter? Kelsey didn't believe so. "My mother and I will never get along. It is like we are too different people. Sometimes I think she is not my mother. Sometimes I think I am adopted. Oh well," Kelsey said dramatically, shrugging off the fact that she had no real mother figure. Kelsey looked around the room again, getting yet another chill down her spine.
"Over exhaustion? Maria Beth from Hufflepuff was hospitalized for that too a couple of years ago. Maybe if you would stop partying so hard," Kelsey said, joking around with her friend. She wanted to make Alyson feel better. She hated when people were sick and depressed. She wanted to make people be happy all the time. That was one of Kelsey's best qualities.
"Everything is well. My 'fits' are becoming more frequent though. I can't seem to control them! And those dreams are happening more and more. Other than that I am fine. I would love to share a compartment with you," Kelsey said, smiling widely. She didn't mention the fact that she had come to terms with her feelings for James Potter. If she would tell Alyson that, Kelsey would get a huge 'I told you so'. Alyson was always on Kelsey's case, saying that she liked him, and Kelsey would always deny it. Besides, James didn't like her, or did he?

Alyson sighed and kicked her legs up so that her covers fell back off the bed. She hated the beds here. There was always the problem that it wasn't her bed. She loved her own bed. Strictly speaking, she had two favourite beds, her own one in her house, and another in the Slytherin girls dormitory, or sleep would have been hell at Hogwarts. When Alyson thought about her love for beds, Kelsey brought Alyson back to the bigger issue, Kelsey's mother. Alsyon had only experienced Mrs. LeBlanc twice, and both times she left with mental scars. Kelsey's mother was nothing like the her offspring. Alyson was greatful for that.
My mother and I will never get along. It is like we are too different people. Sometimes I think she is not my mother. Sometimes I think I am adopted. Oh well,"
Alyson looked remotedly shocked at Kelsey. "Oh well?" She repeated, sitting up from her bed. Anyone could tell that Alyson was refusing to lie on her bed and was back to her old snobby self, always picky. "How can you just say something like 'Oh well'?" She mimicked Kelsey's words exactly. "You don't care?" Alyson's voice was barely a whisper, but it was loud enough for Kelsey's ears.
"Maybe if you would stop partying so hard,"
Alyson scoffed and looked comically hurt and outraged. She acted like she was in a pantomine all the time. Alyson was never serious. Never. "I think your going to have to bolt me down, lock me up and throw away the key. But I'll bet i'd still be able to make a banter out of that." She grinned and jumped out her bed again, sitting down on the chair opposite Kelsey. Alyson was more than relieved that she was able to wear her own pyjamas. The fashion at hospitals was a crime. Wih one swift movement, Alyson crossed her legs and looked as if she meant business, but in reality, she merely wanted some gossip. But when Kelsey spoke of her 'fits', Alyson was totally serious. So she was human, she can be serious - when she chooses. "Does it hurt?" She asked in a childish tone.
"I would love to share a compartment with you,"
Alyson gasped and clapped her hands, squealing with excitement. "I honestly can't wait, this year is going to be the best yet, I can assure you." But this was a routine Aly went through, she'd always say that this year was going to be te 'best yet', even if she was wrong, Aly wanted something to look forward too. "And I'll bet a certain Potter will be searching for you." She added before coughing loudly.

Watching the world pass my way.
Kelsey loved having a friend like Alyson. She was all that Kelsye was missing, but had the same qualities as Kelsey. Alyson was the mean, determined party girl, while another side of her was over happy, excited, and crazy like Kelsey. Kelsey was the always in the moon, completely insane, and a tad out of this world. She was only ever mean during her 'fits'.
"Well, the way I look at it is, I can't make my mother love me. I am not going to change myself for her, so it is an Oh well situation. I just have to move on with life, even though I want a relationship with her. Oh, and did you hear about my father? He is the new Headmaster at Hogwarts! I swear they are out to destroy my life!" Kelsey exclaimed, telling the sad tale of her neglectful parents. At times, Kelsey would have dreams about going shopping with her mother, and having deep meaningful conversations with her. Those were just dreams though.
"They sometimes hurt. At times I get this headache that is unbearable. It feels like my head will explode. Other times I black out and then wake up somewhere totally different. Then, more than the rest of those symptoms, I hear this voice in my head, telling me to do things. It is really scary. I think I am going insane or something," Kelsey said, fear in her voice as she spoke. Her voice went no higher than a whisper. She didn't want any of the nurses to hear her, in fear of them taking her to the mental hospital.
"Excuse me! A certain Potter will not be looking for me! I thought I told you we were just friends! This year will be amazing though," Kelsey said, a slight blushing happening on her cheeks. She was defiantly stubborn when it came to admitting true feelings. She always felt vulnerable when she did so.

Once again, Alyson's mind had wandered away from what she was meant to be focusing on. She could never help herself. It wasjust sometimes she had a short attention span, and this was one of those times. lyson just wanted to be rid of this place and be home, not that home was an improvement, but she did however miss her room, what quite frankly was her home, she would never go anywhere else around the house. When she thought about her life, family and other such things, Alyson was reminded of hos depressing her life really was, if you took away the friends, Hogwarts and gorgeous boys, then Alyson would've killed herself. Kelsey was living proof that Alyson needed her friends, just as much as Kelsey needed hers.
"Well, the way I look at it is, I can't make my mother love me. I am not going to change myself for her, so it is an Oh well situation. I just have to move on with life, even though I want a relationship with her."
Alyson knew that Kelsey was right, and Alyson felt rather sheepish for making a bigger deal out of the situation - again. "I suppose .." Alyson agreed and looked down as if she'd just been beaten at a game of wizard chess. Kelsey's life was rather like Alyson's, apart from the fact that Kelsey saw vivid visions and dreams that would frighten the life out of Alyson. And then, the subject of Kelsey's parents continued with her father, but it was a little brighter. "Headmaster? Wow. I didn't see that coming. D'you think he'll do well? Oh maybe he'll give me the slack, seeing as we're joined at the hip practically." And with that, Alyson gave an almost snie little wink. She had to admit, she did like Kelsey's father much more than her mother. Aly could see some of Kelsey in Mr. LeBlanc, or the other way around, ethier way, they were closer than Kelsey and her mother, which comforted Alyson.
Then, with the subject of more serious matters, Alyson slipped down off her chair and shuffled forward, and sat infront of Kelsey like a child being told a scary story. Eager to know what happens, but dreading the end. Alyson looked rather baffled by the news but her expression didn't differ much from eagerness and slight desperation. "Well ... what if there is someone trying to get into your head? Is there a type of potion or ...a spell to stop people invading your mind?" Alyson had no real idea of what could be causing Kelsey's mind to act like this, but it didn't do any harm to guess.
"Excuse me! A certain Potter will not be looking for me! I thought I told you we were just friends! This year will be amazing though,"
"Just priends, pfft! Dom't make me laugh, Kels!" Alyson scoffed and stood up, sitting on her bed and flinging a pillow at Kelsey. "I've seen the way you gaze at James, droopy eyes and drooling all over your books." And Alyson mimicked Kelsey by staring at her with wide, dreamy eyes and opening her mout so wide that her tounge fell out.
