Lilly knew she had scared him, everyone knew those with the dark mark are to be scared of. Lilly didn't want it, she was stupid and foolish to have gotten it in the first place. She looked down. "I know you probably think you can't trust me, but hear me out... she paused before she continued, she was gathering her thoughts together.
She looked up at him and looked him in the eye, this time she was going to tell the turth. "I got kidnapped, and the two deatheaters that did it tried too brainwash me, at first i thought it was great... that was until Jack made me kill some muggle that was spying us in the garden. I have no way out of this. Im an idiot" there it was out in the open. she put her head on her arms onto the table and started crying. She most likely was going to die for this, and he might be lucky to escape. [/blockquote] |

He still didn't trust her, at least not fully, but one thought kept whirling through his head. How bad can one little girl be? For all he knew she may be telling the truth, but she could also be lying. It was basically a 50/50 deal.
He managed to calm down even more so that he wouldn't cause attention; this was one of the few times that Spence didn't want to be in the limelight. He listened to her explanation quietly, then she broke down in tears. Spence frowned. He hated seeing people cry, mostly because he felt strong urges to hug and comfort the crying people, but there was no way he was going to hug a Death Eater- even if she was made to be one against her will.
He leaned forward a bit, and whispered to Lily in a shaky voice, "....Why did you tell me?"

She knew he still didn't trust her, she didn't even trust herself anymore. She couldn't make out the truth from the lies. Not anymore, she was stuck.Theres a point Lilly, why did you tell him? she shouted at herself.
"i dont know... " she cried. "I guess i just felt like i needed too.. im sorry..." she meant that.. She didnt have any idea what was going on with her lately, she had major mood swings and now it all just fell out. She wondered if she should leave.. he was more likely to leave first. |

She didn't know? She couldn't have trusted him enough to tell him that. They only just met. She hardly knew him at all. He was going to ask her why she trusted him, but then he quickly decided not too.
Spencer wasn't going to leave. He new suddenly felt like he had a responsibility to her. He wouldn't abandon her. He got up fro his side of the booth, to go sit on her side, he scooted in and awkwardly put a shaky hand over her shoulder. "You...you know, you got me in a fist deep of shit." He told her, in a half jokingly tone, even though he was dead serious.

Lilly was surprised when he sat next to her, he even touch her. And then he tried joking. Lilly smiled a little. "You think your in trouble, wait till i get found out, i have no chance" she too joked. "I wont tell if you dont" she added. She meant protection, if he kept her secret she wouldnt tell Jack that this boy knew. she too was deadly serious. |

He knew she meant it. He also knew that it was a threat, but it was okay, because Spencer wouldn't tell. "Don't worry, I wont tell."
He let go of Lily's shoulder and clasped his hands together and looked down at them, his eyes still wide, and his voice quiet, "So what happens now?"

Lilly sighed, thank merlin for that, she thought. Though she already knew he wouldn't tell. But she didn't know what to do now. She too looked down at her hands."I don't know, anything?" they could return to normal, though nothing normal would come from their relationship status now.She didn't know whether to class them both as enemies or aqquaintences? |

Spence sat there in silence for a few moments. He came to this conclusion: She must be telling the truth, or at least i hope. I mean- if she was lying, why doesn't she just kill me now?.... He looked up from his hands and looked into her eyes- so she knew he meant what he was going to say next. "I can't just sit here. I know there's not much I'd be able to do...but, I'd like to try and help. I really would." And if that meant myself having to spy on the Death eaters- by any means possible, I might as well do it. What do I have to loose?
It was true, Spencer had little to loose- besides his best friend in the world, Cooper, and his butler Al, or actually Paul. But if he left them out of this, it wouldn't matter. Sure he had loads of cash and a huge expensive apartment, but it didn't matter. None of it really did. He only had one friend, and if something did happen to him, he'd give all his things to that one friend. Boy, he needed to stop thinking like this.

Lilly looked back into his eyes, she knew he meant it, but how could he help? She wasn't too sure yet. That was something she would have to think about, without getting caught out by Jack. Jack always knew when she was lieing.
She turned too him and out of surprise hugged him. She didn't really understand why, but she did and she whispered "Thank you" too him. She didn't have anything too loose, once her family found out what she was she doubted they would even speak to her again, and then there would only be her. And she really did think she was nothing to loose. |

He wasn't expecting a hug, at least not from her. He could still sense the tension between them- even though they basically promised their allegiance to each other. He didn't hug her back though, he still wasn't that comfortable with her, at least not yet.
This was getting pretty awkward now. Spencer turned to Lily- his eyes looked unusually tiered- like he dreaded what might come later. "You have any ideas on how I could...help?"

She too wasn't very sure on why she was still sat here with him. She could have dragged him of and killed him by now. She could have been out of trouble by now. But she didn't have the courage too. Plus she could use this to her advantage.. somehow.
She looked at him when he spoke. She wasn't too sure yet, it was something she needed to figure out. "Hm.. well... Im not too sure yet, but you will come in handy" she felt like a true Potter now, well atleast partially. Somehow she was going to backcross Jack, she still had things to find out in the future."Do you have any ideas?" |

Spencer really had nothing to loose. His parents basically disowned him, though had giving him plenty of money, (just so he'd get out of their way.) All he had really was Cooper and his butler...But they would deal with it if he was ever to...die, or at least get into major trouble.
Spence looked down, a little embarrassed like. "Well...I...I could spy for you? or maybe...I'd have to...or I'd join...-" He couldn't finish that sentence. He couldn't say the words 'I'd join the Death Eaters for you.'

Lilly thought about it. He could spy, but what on? Lilly could really find out everything through Jack. But joining? This boy would join to help? Lilly shock her head, she wouldn't wish it on anybody.
"Don't ever say that again, i wouldn't wish it on you. You'd probably end up like me, regretting it." she said, she didn't sound angry she was more... reassuring. |

Spencer sighed, he was now completely calm. He leaned back on the booth and put his arms over the top of it, in a carefree kind of pose. The only thing that was still odd about him, was his seriousness of his expression and voice. "Well how else am I supposed to help you? Seriously, that's the only way I can think of...unless you've got a better one."
Spencer glanced around the Leaky Cauldron. It didn't seem like they were being listened to, nor did it look like there could be any 'Death Eater's in disguise' there. Or so he hoped.

Lilly had a little idea, it may have been slightly lame but it was rather important too. "I know, when we return to school you can keep an eye out. I don't want anyone suspecting me okay?" She said. "And if i need anything else ill come back to you."
She too looked around. This was a popular spot for Bellatrix. But looking around there were no strange hooded people or Scorpius Malfoy for that matter. |
