Lorcan glanced around the Amusement Park, unsure what to make of it all. His parents and brother were here somewhere; they'd only come to meet up with some other friends who were coming, and Lorcan had wandered off on his own to see if he could find anything or anyone of interest. So far it was failing. And there weren't even any animals about – they had all been scared away by the loudness and huge amount of people, apparently. It was a shame... they'd be better company than any of the other people he'd come across so far.
Seeing a nearby food stall, he stopped at it and joined the queue, digging into his pocket to find a few stray coins – a galleon and three sickles, plus a handful of knuts. Hopefully the cost of a bag of chips would not exceed that... he really hoped it wouldn't. It took a while, but finally he reached the front of the line and ordered a medium bag of chips, scowling when he was charged 10 sickles and having to hand over his galleon, getting more sickles in change. Pouring salt over them – but no vinegar, he hated the stuff – he left the queue and went to sit down on a nearby bench, munching at the chips as he walked and looking about to see if anyone he knew was around.
There was certainly plenty going on at the fair, even if none of it really interested him right now. Rides, music, food stalls... He was vaguely aware of the history of the Summer Fest being to show wizarding unity around the world, but he wasn't entirely sure why he needed to be there. He had lived all around the world, he didn't need any teaching about unity.

Today i just want normality. Lilly Luna Potter had just happened to have been at the fair the same day and same time. She too had strolled off from her school friends who she had decided to meet; though with them being ever so boring and up themselves she decided to walk off going into her own little world.
Lilly had never had to bother with money, if anything was expensive to somebody it honestly wasn't to her. Her dad Harry Potter had inherited plenty from his parents and every year interest was added to the chamber of gold in Gringrotts. From where she was she could smell the chip shop, she wasn't really that hungry but she decided she would get something. She had qued up a few places behind Lorcan; she at first thought she had recognised him as being Lorcan but then shrugged it off, though it was possible. Getting to the front of the que she gave her money and took her food only to turn around to see most benches had been taken. She saw that the boy actually was Lorcan, her parents being very good friends with Luna from being part of the whole wizardry war and all. She decided to go over, she couldnt remember the last time she had seen him let alone spoke to him. His parents were forever taking him on trips around the world. Lucky, she thought to herself.
She gracefully walked over and sat down the opposite side of the bench. "Hi Lorcan" she beamed picking at her food. Her black hair was half up and curly, she couldn't be bothered with styling today she knew most of her family probably outbeat her in lucks anyway, especially Dom and Rose.

A girl with pure black hair had looked at the amuesment park. her parents were having such a joy for the last two days here. They decided to come yet again. She got bored of it all. She really hoenstly hated riding fast rides and things that go really high. Hieghts would have been her boggart if it had not been ravens. Oh she hated ravens. One day whe she was younger a whole group of ravens tore her up. Scaring her half Mexican and half Indian family. Her body color was a lot darker than everyone in England. She hated the icy cold weather that seemed to linger even the summer monthes. She hated it when people complain about the heat. When she was wearing long legged blue jeans. They hated her for always saying it was freezing. Though, it was everyday in her life. It was the elast of her promblems. The girl was a mudblood being pure in muggle's blood. It was hard for even her to fit in even in the most peaceful time of wizarding.
Selena had decided to wear today long blue- jeans with a grey shirt. The shirt had a worthless hoodie and a marvelous butterfly in the back and a little on in the right boob. She had to wear a black undershirt to make it look nicer. The sleeves of the shirt went half way to her hands. She had her hair down. In a normal brush it went straight down. She saw it pointless with arraging it up. Since the darn hair went straight down anyway.
She walked over to the stand and used her money to get a small air-candy which was really cotton candy. She gave her last galleon. She stuffed the change back into her pocket figuring it was almost a waste. She saw two of her schoolmates near by each otehr. She really couldn't place them in her head. Mainly because she did not remember aa lot of names. This was because half her four years in Hogwarts, she was in depression stage of her life. [/size]

Eating his chips slowly, attempting not to burn his tongue as he so often did on hot foods, Lorcan continued to survey the sights surrounding him, wishing the bench had a back to it so he could lean and not have to sit up straight. At least he had noticed there was no back beforehand – it would have been just like him to not realise, lean back and then go sprawling in the mud, having lost his chips. He paid no attention to the queue at the chip stall, that interest having passed him as soon as he had paid his money, and so did not notice Lily standing there a few places behind where he had been moments before.
As such, he was taken slightly by surprise when she walked over to him and sat on the other side of the bench. His eyes visibly widened and he even jumped a little when he noticed her there – although of course he would deny it afterwards. [yellow]"Lily! Hey!"[/yellow] he finally greeted her after a few moments of surprised silence following her own greeting. [yellow]"I'm sorry, I didn't notice you there in the queue,"[/yellow] he apologised, feeling genuinely guilty for not seeing her there.
Glancing around again he noticed another Hogwarts student – a Ravenclaw, he believed – standing nearby and eating candy floss – the sweet, pink stuff seemed to attract students and their younger siblings like flies to a jar of jam. He smiled in her direction when he saw her looking his way. Even outside of school, he took his role as prefect seriously and tried to be friendly to everyone. [yellow]"This place is filled with Hogwarts people,"[/yellow] he commented idly to Lily, eyes turning back to the girl to show that she was free to join them if she so wished.

Surprise! Lilly grinned, at least he had noticed her. She too stood silent in the surpise greeting. She finally got the courage to speak again. "Oh its ok; i didn't realise it was you till like.. well you sat on the bench actually" she blushed she felt guilty about not noticing him before hand; their parents had been good friends for along time. Lilly probably expected her and her brothers to get along with Luna's children. Though Lilly did with most people.
Again there was another awkward silence between the two. Lilly picked at the chip and when she bit it burnt her tongue. "Ow." she half shouted, but laughed it off. Great; just embarress yourself infront of everyone she thought to herself. She looked over to see a familiar Ravenclaw who just happened to be in Lillys year. And Lilly just happened to know she was a mudblood. But she couldn't do anything to harm her in public. Maybe another time Lilly. She thought, as she checked to see if her dark mark was covered so nobody could point her out.
"Wow, everyone must like that candy floss" she said to Lorcan, trying to make conversation. She felt it wasn't going too well. But when he spoke she grinned. "Yeah its always filled full of people from school. I guess its just a chance to be able to mingle out of school during the holidays" she sighed, she wondered if she was actually going to return to Hogwarts; she didn't really feel up to it. Selena noticed the look the guy gave her. She smiled back and walked toward them. Well.. until she noticed the girl Potter. She quickly recognize the girl from her class. She was jealous at how the slytherin girl fitted so perfectly in class. She came up to the bench. Probably after an hour as it seemed to her. a smile came across her face as she said nicely "Umm hi." She pulled her nervous self back together. For the first time since moving there she felt extremely warm in the face. It seemed she was blushing he noticed her. She cursed her gender and shyness. her balck hair flung in her face making her blow on it emberassedly. She felt extremely clusmy and to heavy on one side. [/size]

Lily seemed a little uncertain about answering him, causing Lorcan to pause a little uncertainly. He hadn't seen her in quite some time – it had been a while since they had actually spent a summer in England rather than travelling to some distant country. He didn't know how she might have changed in that time – maybe she was really shy, or just didn't like talking much.
[yellow]"Hey, beats me. I didn't notice you till you came to join me,"[/yellow] he grinned, trying to reassure her when he saw her blush. He didn't want to scare her away... if his younger brother saw and told their parents he would surely be in trouble. He had a habit of speaking his mind that sometimes put people off and made them leave rather quickly, which they had been trying to break out of him. He resisted a smirk when she burnt her tongue, offering his own slightly cooled down bag of chips with a smile. [yellow]"There's a reason I was waiting before eating them."[/yellow]
It all seemed a bit awkward, which wasn't too great – he preferred casual conversation, but apparently that wasn't working here. He resisted sighing and instead just replied to what she said in the hope of stirring more conversation. [yellow]"I don't like candy floss, personally. And I've never been here before except for when I was really little one time."[/yellow]
The girl he had seen wandering nearby eventually approached them, and he saw she was blushing as well. What was it with all these blushing girls? [yellow]"Hey,"[/yellow] he greeted her with a friendly smile intended to put her more at ease. [yellow]"I'm Lorcan, this is Lily,"[/yellow] he said, gesturing at the girl by his side as he introduced them.

Stupid Girls
Lilly laughed, it had been quite some time since they had last spoke. She decided to put her chips down, she was slightly put off them now but she would wait till they too had cooled down so she didn't burn the rest of her tongue as a part of it now was stinging. She looked as he offered her his chips and she stole one with a cheeky grin. She gratefully ate it. "Don't worry I'll give you one back, then you can't blackmail me or anything" she joked with a smirk on her face.
Lilly liked candy floss but she hadn't really had it in a while. "I have to be in the mood for it, if you get me. I mean last time i had candyfloss... was... well... i don't really remember" she said rather thoughtfully. She turned to see the new comer, she knew this girl but apparently Lorcan didn't. Lorcan had already introduced the two of them too her, Lilly's sweet lovely kind smile went away and there was a moment silence between the three. "Oh... i know her, she's in my year" Lilly said, but not in her happy tone. You could probably tell the pair didn't get on, or at least Lilly had made her mind up that she didn't like Selena.
Lilly had always picked a few selected people and even before getting to know them she would hate them for no reason. She explained it as sensing they weren't going to get on. No matter what the other person did to make friends with Lilly, Lilly always threw it back in their face. She didn't mean to be rude, and she didn't mind a bit of competition, it was just the way Lilly was.
She gave Selena a obviously fake smile, "Hi by the way" she muttered rather unenthusiastically. She looked of into the distance for a little while, seeing if anything interesting was going on but then turned back to listen into the new three way conversation.

Selena toke a bite of her candy floss before Lilly spoke. She heard the nasty tone in her voice and rolled her eyes. She knew all to well there was a reason they stayed far away from each other. She had half a mind of turning around and go find some thing else to do. Though the face the older boy had held her in place. She was thinking of seating ut the thought was an extreme uncomfortable thought. So instead she decided to just stand there like an idiot. She felt the silence play with her freezing cold skin. It made her shiver mentally, it just seemed so harsh. Similar to that of a blade against your skin.
She hated the silence so much she spoke very quietly trying to bring her voice stronger. "So.. Umm what are you all doing here?" After she spoke, she toke another bite of Cotton Floss. She wondered what she'll do if Lilly asked her for some candy floss.

He grinned at Lily's joke, having never blackmailed anyone in his life and having no intention to do so any time soon... or ever, for that matter. He had no qualms about sharing the chips with her, despite how expensive they had been – his time living in various countries had taught him that money was best spent on other people who were in need of it. While her need for chips that wouldn't burn her tongue wasn't exactly the most important in the world, he was still free to provide it.
He glanced curiously at Lily at the way she said that she already knew Selena, uncertain what had caused the sudden unhappiness in her tone, not to mention why she was talking about the other girl in third person as if she wasn't even there. Apparently the pair had a history, judging by the way neither of them seemed too happy about the other being there. He would just have to be a buffer, then. He kept the frown off his face at Lily's fake greeting and the awkward silence, beginning to wish he hadn't bought chips and sat down here after all. The other girl didn't offer up her name, making it even more difficult to start up conversation. He had thought that she would take his introduction as a way of saying who she was. Apparently not.
Offering up the bag of chips to her with a smile in case she wanted some too, he spoke simply and not going into too much detail. [yellow]"My parents wanted to catch up with some friends and insisted I come along,"[/yellow] he explained briefly. [yellow]"How about you? And sorry, I don't know your name..."[/yellow]

And now you meet the bitch.
Maybe it wasn't normality but it was better than the position Lilly was facing back at home. She decided to embrace this moment of as close to normality as it could get. She looked at Selena, she knew the girl was a mudblood. Lilly tried to shove the thought out of her head, but she promised she would get rid of Selena when she had the chance. Killing muggles was easy to disguise but when a wizards involved the ministry wouldn't stop looking. She would wait till the wizard war began again and then she would get Selena back.
This time all smiles completely disappeared again, Lorcan was offering her chips. That made Lilly feel low, he was asking that Selena had stayed. And Selena had blushed too, and Lilly was getting jealous. She wasn't a happy bunny. And she wasn't afraid to show it.Lilly decided she would make Selena feel extremely unwelcome and to top it all off she would get her revenge.
She turned to Lorcan. "Well your catching up with friends too" she said with a genuine smile, she was going to do what her cousins Rose and Dom did. She was going to flirt. She didn't care if Selena didn't like it, or if either of their families spotted it. She was going to flirt like there was no tomorrow and make sure it upset Selena.

They guys to whom Selena couldn't place, asked her name. She quickly saw this as an ecuse for not knowing his name. She said happily almost ignoring Lilly's flirtacious looks. "The name is Selena.." She paused thinking of an answer. While honestly she was giving short brief glances at LIlly. She said trying to sound a little more confident, "I'm here with my family. I decided they need to losen up. THis whole witch business and my sister seems to upset them." She did not add the fact that her sister was missing. She figured that was none of their business. She really felt the way Lilly was moving. It was as though she wanted to flirt. THis movement made Selena's skin crawl with irratation. She was also jealous on how easily the girl seemed to fit in. She could anything she want without horrible glances. Selena tried to came her jealousself down. It was obviously not working very well.

Lorcan, although sometimes not the most observant fellow, did notice Lily's smile disappear when he offered the newcomer some chips. He didn't understand why – after all, he had offered her some, so why not Selena too? He didn't want her to feel left out. Still, her smile reappeared soon enough when she added onto his statement. He grinned back again, but again not wanting to have Selena left out added onto it further. [yellow]"And meeting new ones,"[/yellow] he grinned up at the Ravenclaw, taking another chip and biting into it, finding a little too much salt on it and wincing at the taste.
He didn't really notice Lily's change in demeanour towards him, thinking of her more as a little sister or cousin than anything else. And as protective as he might be of his friends and family, he certainly wasn't used to that kind of behaviour towards him from them – his romantic history was slightly lacking. His expression changed to curiosity as she mentioned her reasons for being here – it seemed a little odd though, that she had brought them to loosen them up but had not stayed with them.
[yellow]"They're muggles?"[/yellow] he questioned lightly, remembering the reaction of a few muggles he'd seen over the years when they found out magic existed. Although if Selena was muggleborn, then he'd have thought they'd have gotten used to the idea by now. [yellow]"Your sister?"[/yellow] he asked shortly, not understanding why their daughter might be upsetting them so. He didn't want to intrude, but his natural curiosity spoke through him.

Lilly rolled her eyes when he said about meeting new friends. Selena was no friend. She was more competition. Lilly had started to turn dislike of Selena to hate. Selena was pushing her luck with Lilly and Lilly wasn't a very patient person in that area. "Yes meeting new friends" she directed it toward Selena and in a rather cold voice.
"Your a mudblood?" It slipped out of Lillys mouth, she almost didn't notice she had said it at first it just came natural. She thought she may have offended Lorcan but deffinatly offended Selena. She had to hide the smile though she felt bad for saying it infront of Lorcan. "Sorry.." she muttered to him and it was obvious not to Selena.
Honestly. Selena's position with Lilly was going to drop from bad to worse dramatically. But Lilly knew she couldn't do anything till Selena was all on her own, and out of view from other wizards and witches. "Why don't they approve that your one of us." Lilly said slightly disgraced. Jack had told Lilly that muggles had forced wizards and witches into hiding, and muggles were the weaker species. Lilly gave a smile to Selena, yet again fake but it did have meaning about it. Lilly was thinking what if she killed Selena's family and then finished Selena off. It may have been mass murder, but like Lilly would have cared much.

Selena was not taking any notice of the chips. She was thiking more of Lilly. She noticed alot on how Lilly's mouth was talking. If she had not been such a calmn girl she would've takened it super defensively. Though in her mine mentally she was screaming. Why I oughtta! Just because I'm a mudblood does not mean anything! For all she knows is that I am a muggle. I could have gotten my power from my ancestors the Indians. I wonder what she'll say about that! Since Wizards have been alive since the beginning of time. Oi! I need to stop listening to Professer Black..."
She gathered herself up and said gently mostly to Lorcan "Oh.. It is nothing. Just simply a younger sibling. Apperently, she is a wizard to." She sort of lied. They were not upset about Ginger being a wizard. Oh no.. It was much bigger. She had to quickly change the subject. "Umm.. What flavor are those chips?" IN full honest. she hated every kind of chip. But she knew from Lilly's expression by the way he said friend. That she'll be furious, if Selena had takened one.
