What a dreary day it was in London. But what else would you expect? It usually was always cloudy or raining. Yet Dominique has been used to that since she was little. Even though she lived near the ocean in a cottage she was used to the weather. And even with this weather Dominique still felt the need to wear sunglasses. Don’t ask her why. She doesn’t know either. She just knew they went along with her outfit. And that even in the cloudy weather she wasn’t the only female who wore sunglasses. Well she wasn’t exactly wearing them. They were on top of her blond hair. The blond hair that was growing longer it seemed by the hour but only rested a little bit below her shoulders.
On rainy days the place that Domi could be found was the Leaky Cauldron. Sure it wasn’t the place she would normally be found and actually she looked sort of out of place here. With her always nice attitude and smile; she seemed like a ray of sunshine in the weather outside. The tavern was packed more than usual. Mostly because of the weather and people really didn’t want to shop at the moment. Pushing through the crowd Dominique finally got to the bar. A young male bartender was there who noticed Dominique right away. Like most of the male population did in here. “Firewhiskey, please.” Was Domi’s order and she ordered it with a smile. Hoping that her order would be placed before the rest of the customers.
The door was continually opening and closing to the different people that walked through. Dominique didn’t bother with who was walking in or out. Sure she probably knew some people but she wanted her firewhiskey at the moment. She flashed another smile at the bartender when she got her order and a glare from a young woman down at the other end of the bar. Oh how she loved the veela charm.

Lilly too was used to the weather, she needed a break from people she knew, little did she know she would be caught up with one of her cousins. She looked outside the Leaky couldron, debating whether to go in or not, but she forced her self. She needed a drink after all. She didn't spot Dominique at first, but she pushed to the front of the bar. "Firewhisky please" she called out hoping he would serve her.
She glanced at Dominque and then looked away and then looked back, she broke out a smile. Dominique always made her smile. "Hey Dom.. woah what are you doing in here?" Lilly laughed. This was the last place she thought she would ever see her cousin.

The woman down the bar continued to glare at Dominique. But all this girl could do was smile. It wasn’t her fault that she had some veela blood. And that it helped with getting things. All Dom did was ask for a drink and got it first. Well she did smile, which might have been considered flirting. And for all she knew that woman could be the bartender’s girlfriend. Ha! That would be interesting. Right before it looked like the woman might hex Dominique a familiar voice spoke up. The voice of course belonged to Domi’s younger cousin Lily. “Hey Lily.” Dom said brightly seeing her cousins.
Yeah Dominique was a little out of place here. Fleur, her mother might just kill her if she was caught in this place. Or make her take a thousand showers to make sure there was no an ounce of dirt or grime on her body. “Just getting my firewhiskey before the woman at the end of the bar.” Domi said smirking and answering her cousin’s question. It wasn’t like her to act like this very often. But every once in a while she loved proving to people how much better looking she was than them. Like the woman at the end of the bar was going to feel now.
Dominique took a sip of her firewhiskey and felt the burn in the back of her throat. She loved that burn. It just made her feel so much better. “You get your drink yet? Firewhiskey right?” Dom said asking Lily quickly seeing that the bartender was going over to talk to the lady again. “Hey,” she said calling down to the bartender leaning over slightly on the counter. “Can we have a firewhiskey?” and she got his attention again. “Your drink should be here soon.” Dom said giving her cousin a wink.

Lilly beamed when Dominque did that, get her a drink that was. Like her cousin had said, the drink arrived and she picked hers up after paying for it. "Haha, you know i love it when you do that, you lucky sod" Lilly laughed, looking for a table."I bet your mom doesn't know your here though. I think she would officially flip" she added with another laugh leading the pair upto a clean looking table and taking a seat.
Lilly had remembered to keep her left arm covered at all times now with her dark mark and all. But she still had to cover up the change in her behaviour, so she decided to go the nice way round by being all happy happy, she couldnt even remember if she was like that before. She knew that if she told Dom, she would have to kill her, and somehow she wasn't prepard to kill family. Muggles were her hit at the moment, and she could handle that.
She looked back at Dom, she had always admired her beauty. She wished she was her instead. She would swap anything for it. But then again the one thing that annoyed her was both Dom's and James's ability to overprotect little Lilly. And she hated it, maybe thats why she rebelled so often? Either way she didn't like it. She took a sip of her drink and checked her sleeves covered both her arms, just to not make it obvious.

For some reason whenever Dominique got her cousins to smile like it always made her proud. Proud to belong to the same bloodline as they did. Her family was so close knitted that she wondered how most of them could get along so well. Usually between the kids there would be fights but over stupid things. And pranks were pulled on each other during school. Which was another past time Domi’s mother didn’t know about. Her mother thought she was a proper lady. Well for the most part she was as long as she wasn’t in school, drinking, at a club or around friends. And now that she thought about it. That was pretty much all the time.
“It’s a gift,” Domi said flipping her hair over her shoulder in a dramatic fashion. She knew most of her cousins loved when she was able to get things for them. Like the drink. It was just that most guys were gullible. Going over to the somewhat clean table with Lily proved somewhat of a challenge. From what she did to the bartender at the bar it seemed like all the other men fell for it also. So here came many bad pickups lines, which she ignored to her best ability. When she sat down with her cousin she finished up what she saw saying before, “And a curse.” That being shown whiles they walked over here.
Taking another long sip of the firewhiskey Dominique looked over at Lily. She was there when Lily was first brought home. And ever since then she has protected her. Domi was usually a non violent person but if anyone harmed Lily she would fight. It was just that simple. “My mum would kill me. After that she would sanitize my body then probably burn it.” Yeah that sounded like good ole’ mum to here. “How are things with you?” Lily had always kind of been a little more distant from the family or it would seem for the past couple of days.

Lilly laughed at half the bad pickup lines. Somehow she deep down wished they were directed at her, but she shrugged jelousy off. She watched the dramatic flip of the hair, and jokingly copied. She almost burst out laughing.
"I take that as being after she scrubs your body red raw. She wouldn't send you of not being de-germed now would she" she joined in. It did sound so much like her aunty. She didn't really ever speak much to that side of the family, well at least Dom's mum and dad, she never really got to know them, though she did love the stories about her other uncles. She did love spending the odd occasion with them, but it looked like today she would be spending time with good old overprotective cousin Dom.
And then the question that Lilly hadn't prepared for came, it was true she had become so distant from the family in the space of a few days if not more. She sighed, she wouldn't let Dom know, only James was to know for now... Not that James took it that well either. I mean imagine Dom, she would most likely flip out in the middle of the pub, and Lilly didn't want to do a huge mass murder in the center of the pub, though she was tempted. She shrugged it off. She didn't look at Dom, Dom always knew when she was lieing and no doubt she would now. "oh.. the usuall, im fine... and what about you?" she put on a fake smile and glanced back at Dom.

It seemed like the two girls were having such a great time right now. And Dominique sure was. She loved being her regular self around people. Usually she toned down a bit because she didn’t want a ton of guys around her. Yet with family it seemed just so much more natural. No she wasn’t bragging about the veela charm. She would give it up in a heartbeat to anyone of her cousins. But sometimes she wouldn’t wish that upon them. Sure most of them thought it was all in good fun. But then with relationships how did you know if the guy really liked you? Sure he liked your looks but did her like your personality? It was difficult to find a decent guy to date.
“You’re lucky you don’t see my mother often. Before you walked into the cottage she would probably scrub you down head to toe.” Dom said joking but was also serious. Her mother would be that clean freak. So that was why when family came over to go swimming they just went right around to the back. Didn’t walk through the clean house just go straight to the backyard to go swimming. And then maybe if Fleur wasn’t looking sneak inside for some food or a drink. One time, it was with some of Dom’s cousin they walked through the house with muddy feet. It was a game to see who could get the farthest before Fleur flipped. They barely made it through the door.
Over the years Dominique had almost become a human lie detector. Well really only with her cousins since she has seen pretty much all their emotions. And right now Lily was lying to her over a simple question. Dom was going to persuade it but thought of the company around. Maybe later if they ever left the tavern? So she put on her best acting skills, which were pretty good since she went through all childhood without anything being blamed on her, and answered Lily’s question. “Good. Trying to spend some time with Vee when she has some days off. Getting ready for school.” She said rattling off some things she has done. “Oh! And did you hear me and Molly got kittens the other day? They are just so adorable. You will have to see them!” and talking about the kittens with a huge smile on her face was no act. Dominique was really happy to finally have a pet all to herself.

Lilly knew about the good times of playing dares around Fleurs house. How much fun it had been when she was only little and her brothers would encourage her to get messy and go hug Dom's mother who would scream and drag her straight up to the bathroom. Lilly smiled at the memorys, she had had some really good ones. But they all ended when she started at Hogwarts. Everything change, and she couldn't get away with being the young and innocent one anymore.
"Oh how i remember when you and James forced me to go hug her when i was only six. She dragged me up to the bathroom and i came out red raw" Lilly laughed. And then she grinned, perhaps she had gotten away with the lie, maybe she was getting good at acting.. or Dom wasn't going to ask till later. Lilly knew sooner or later Dom would get it out of her and she was desperately trying to delay that time.
And then the kittens, they had made both Molly and Dom happy. "Yeah i heard, i should come and see them sometime.." Lilly grinned, she remembered her little Kitten, till it ran out and got splatted by some muggle in a car. Thats when she decided an owl would be best for her, but she still shared the family owl Hedwig, who seemed to have lived for so long.

Dominique erupted into laughter when Lily brought up a certain memory. No she hasn’t forgotten about that one. It was just that she wanted to make sure Lily did remember it. It was one of the funniest moments in her life! Sure her and James knew the consequences for poor little Lily but Lily didn’t know what she was doing. So sending her in to hug Fleur was priceless. Her mother’s face was a mixture between shock, anger and confusion. Yet it got Dom laughing more when Lily came out of the bathroom her skin red from the scrubbing. Something that she has had to deal with since she was young.
“Those were some good times. Can’t wait till Vee or someone has kids. I can corrupt those kids to go hug Fleur when they are muddy.” When truth was she could wait. When Vee had kids that meant Dominique wouldn’t be too far behind. Yet with the way things were going now Dom might find that special someone before Teddy and Vee got over their differences. Stupid Teddy. She would have to talk to that boy next time she saw him. Give him a piece of her mind. Did he not see how madly in love Vee was in with him? Probably not since males were all that blind.
The Hufflepuff beamed again when the kittens were brought up. “Yes you should! My mum is having a hard time getting used to him. But you will for sure see him when school starts. Molly got hers because I couldn’t decide between the two. So now I can see both of them.” Yeah Dominique was sure her kitten would have a better time at school where students would pet him instead of Fleur’s always swatting him away. Domi took another sip of her drink finishing it off. One drink did nothing to her. And two didn’t either except made her personality come out better. But three was when she really got tipsy. And four well she would go with any guy in the room.

Yes that memory was most likely priceless to Dom and James. And Lilly would never forget those good times. "You two were always evil to me, setting me up to do the most stupid things, shame you can't do it no more, and if i have kids, theres NO way im letting you lot corrupt them, ill do it myself"she winked. She would never forget the times that Lily had been forced to do something, well not exactly forced, but she was brainwashed into doing so.
Lily pushed her drink over to her cousin, she didn't want anymore, she was just hoping that Dom would forget about asking the reason about what was up with Lilly."You have it, i dont want anymore"Lilly sighed. "Its true i should hang around more, maybe Fleur would see im not that messy six year old you and James corrupted, she has never trusted me since, everytime i arrive at your house she's always nearby peaking at me. Maybe if i hang around with you she would think your a good influence!" Lilly laughed at the thought.

Those were excellant memories. Memories that would stay with Dominique forever and she would probably end up telling her children and her family's children. Just so when they asked about grandma Fleur they would know she was always a nut. And that Lily was already corrupted by that young age. To James and Domi's fault of course but it wasn't that bad. "We weren't evil. Just a bit crazy. And since you were so young everyone just thought you were being cute. Well we knew you weren't being cute." she said smiling and laughing a bit. Yeah everyone thought it was hilarious so did Dominique. But the older kids all knew Lily was just doing it because they told her too.
Even though Dominique really didn't drink much. She did love to drink. It was crazy to think how much alcohol this young lady could handle. "You trying to get me drunk?" Dominque asked giving Lily a weird stare but then ended up laughing. She glady took the drink and took another sip from it. Yeah, Fleur would probably kill her. Sharing a drink with someone? Even though the person was her cousin. Domi laughed a bit at the thought of Fleur trusting Lily more. Maybe it would happen. "Hopefully. She would probably just lay down all the household and then once you followed them um...say until your thirty she will trust you." Dominique said smiling holding the glass up in front of her with both hands.

Maybe i could tell you something, but then i risk your life.
Lilly smiled at Dom, she knew both her and James loved her deep down, under all their pranks. Lilly knew that they loved her more than her pranks, though they should have realised the danger they put her in with fleur. She was surprised that she even survived to this point! The amount of times she was scrubbed, god she had lost count. "I know deep down, both you and James love me. Though im not to sure about Fleur" she joked. "You and James are way to overprotective, you know that don't you?"
Lilly figured she would lead up to the secret and make a last miniute decision on whether she would tell Dom or not. She knew it was putting Dom in danger, she really didn't want to but it was last resort. She need to think it through, so she decided to attempt a lead up. She knew Dom would get it out of her at some point. Lilly was really an open book to both Dom and James. No secrets could be kept by Lilly, but then, could Dom and James be trusted. If she threatened them she could. "Maybe, but maybe i have something to tell you, so drink up" Lilly tried to hide the concerned look out her face and tried a genuine smile. This time she was nervous.
"Not long then till she trusts me.." Lilly added on the end. She knew when the family found out, nobody would trust her. She sighed, waiting for Dom to finish the drink, maybe they should go somewhere more private.

Just like an older sister that was how Dominique hoped her younger cousins saw her as. Someone they could come to and trust completely. She would keep their secrets even if she thought someone should know. She just really wanted to keep them safe. Especially Lily. Ever since she was born Dominique has just wanted to keep her safe. She can't explain why she did this for Lily and not all her cousins. Maybe she knew something when she was young that would happen in the future. 'Course Domi was protective over all her cousins. But not as protective. "Yeah. Yeah I know. Get used to it. I'm not leaving anytime soon." And she knew Lily was probably used to it and annoyed. But like that would stop Dominique.
Dominique took a nice long sip from the Firewhiskey. This was going to be her last drink if Lily liked it or not. Nothing to get her drunk just a little buzz. And she would remember everything. Even when she was really drunk she still remembered what she did the night before. Unfortunately. "Your not pregnant right? Because I would totally be okay with that. Just tell me why the baby's daddy isn't here?" Dominique said making a joke. She was pretty sure her cousin wasn't pregnant. And if she guessed right when she really was joking well then she was lucky. But Dom could just tell that Lily was hiding something bigger than pregnancy.
"Ah!! Don't remind me. I feel old then." Dominique said laughing again. Yeah Lily would probably be thirty before no time. However Dom knew that wasn't what she met. There was something going on. She finished off her firewhiskey and set it on the table. "Lily want to go someplace else?" she asked her cousin in almost a whisper. Yeah she wanted to know what Lily was hiding. Something was making her cousin nervous. Dom wanted to help her as much as possible.

Time to tell the truth?
Lilly laughed, pregnant, she wished. It would have been less of a problem, Dom and James most likely would have been over the moon to have a new child to corrupt, and then mad at the same time, or.. well she wasn't too sure."No Dom, im not pregnant, no matter how much you wish for it" Lilly did a small smile.
Not leaving any time soon? Yeah, it was either that or never speak to her again. Lilly sighed. She nodded yes and stood up to lead the way out, she would take them down to the fields behind Diagon Alley. As they were walking out, Lilly sighed again. "If i told you something, something more serious than getting pregnant, would you judge me?" she wasn't sure, Lillys secrets usually consisted of her little crushes and some naughty pranks she'd pulled in Hogwarts.
"And if i do tell you.. its putting your life in danger too." she wanted to make sure Dom was completely certain that she wanted to know. At least she warned her before if was too late. She was still thinking of ways she could break it to her. She could show her the mark, or tell her face to face. No she would show her the mark first.
Lilly double checked for her wand, just incase. She wasn't sure how Dom would react. She took out her wand, and prepared to show Dom.

Dominique pretended to wipe some sweat off her brow when Lily said she wasn't pregnant. Yeah that was good but that meant something was even worse. More serious. Dom would stand behind her cousin no matter what. "And I wouldn't wish for teenage pregnancy. Even though I would love corrupting the little bugger." she said flashing a quick smile. She could tell all joking would stop soon.
Following Lily out of the tavern and to where ever she was taking her was fine with Dom. She guessed they were going someplace without people who could listen or who would oversee. "I wouldn't judge you." the older Weasley said simply. Stick to simple answers usually got more out of people. Since you gave them more time to talk. And you just had time to listen. And Dom planned on letting Lily talk or whatever.
The field was someplace where Dominique has never been. Never thought of going over here because she just loved shopping too much. And Diagon Alley was just the perfect place to go shopping. When Lily said that her life would be in danger. It kind of shocked Dominique. What had Lily gotten herself into? People would think that it would have been weird to think that. Wondering about her younger cousin and not how this would be effecting her own life. "It' fine." Dom thinking of nothing better to say to that comment. "Lily what's going on?" she asked her tone more serious this time.
