Makes me that much stronger Makes me work a little bit harder Makes me that much wiser So thanks for making me a fighter
A young girl of around fourteen stood at the entrance hall of the ministry. It was Lilly Luna Potter, she was pretty much disguised wearing a black hooded cloak with the hood up. She didn't want to be seen, not today. Lilly knew this part well, her father worked here. She used to come visit him at work when she could, it used to be their special bonding days especially when she was allowed to go with him to where ever he had to go. Those days were all in the past now, and in recent weeks they had stopped talking altogether. She just disappeared one day nobody knew where she had gone.
Truthfully she didn't mean to disappear she got kidnapped and then brainwashed by a few death eaters and then turned one herself, and she was that stupid to fall for their trick it only took a matter of days before she was treated like one. Despising the ministry and all. She hadn't told anyone yet, if she did she was risking the ministry finding out her new deep dark secrets, and the fact Jack taught her how to kill and use the unforgivables. Now Lilly was having second thoughts. She'd had a dream the night before, it was about the department of Mysteries, she orb like globe she had held in her hand but she woke before she could see anything other than she shiny cloud that was inside of it.
Her dad had told her about when they broke into the hall of Prophecies, and about what a Prophecy was. Today she was going to find hers, but being the type of person not to think things through she didn't even make a plan. Trouble always followed her. She shook off her thoughts and followed some Aurors to a nearby elevator. Stepping in and pressing for level 9. Some gave her a glance but she kept to herself. Arriving on the floor she looked left and right. It was a long dark passage like hall. She looked at the ending door, she presumed that was the way. She opened the door and stepped into the circular room. Then she remembered she had to do something to get the right door. But instead of actually figuring it out she took her chances with luck and picked a random door.
She opened it. She couldn't believe her look, she was in the hall. Large shelves filled with the glass looking orbs all labeled to a separate person. She knew nobody other than her could read it. But with the amount of orbs she knew this was going to take a while. She wondered if anybody else was in here, but shrugging of the thought she decided to start looking, she had all the time in the world though she knew she was pushing her look to not get caught. She didn't know the punishment for breaking in but she could guess it would be bad.
She started looking, pulling down the hood of her cloak, and pulling up her hair so it lay on top. It was long black and curly, she had it half up and her side fringe was straight. She looked to her left and right. The taking a deep breath went right browsing the names of different witches and wizards. All she needed was hers it frustrated her.

Banging her hand of the Minster’s desk, Clara shook her head in frustration, “No, no. What I want is more security in my department. I am leaving in a month’s time on early maternity leave and while I’m gone it is an opportunity for anyone to enter the premises. I want more than two rounds of security check in the hall of prophecies that for sure. I am doing what you hired me to do Minister, I’m not asking for much only three security checks a day in the hall and two for all around my department.” It was a simple demand and it was something the Minister wouldn’t refuse. Clara was one of the highest paid employees in the building and currently one of the highest women in demand. “Just do it, for me.” Clara was close to the Minister and she knew her simple demand would be given to her as soon as possible.
Closing her office door, the witch smiled coyly as she approached her comfy chair. Flinging herself carelessly onto the piece of furniture and lifted up the daily prophet into her hands. She had finally done what she had came into work to do, confront the Minister and now she planned to rest like this for the rest of the day until she decided to go home. Clara could go home at any time she pleased but she no longer found comfort in her empty home while Marc disappeared doing his own little thing. Work was much more welcoming in her opinion, it was a place she enjoyed coming to the only downfall was the time she had to wake up at in the mornings, it was almost unbearable.
Resting her hand on her increasingly large stomach, Clara admired her engagement ring absentmindedly. She was a successful woman that was for sure. Success was not about what job you had or how much you where getting paid, to her it was about being happy in life and at this moment in time she felt as if she had reached that point, she was finally happy with where she was. She had the perfect job, a beautiful home, a loving fiancée and a child on the way, what else could she ask for? Absolutely nothing. Shaking her head from her blissful daze, Clara smiled and pushed herself to her feet slowly. Okay, she had decided to do a random security check in the hall of prophecies, she had nothing better to do and after that she was head home and get some much wanted rest.
Opening the door slowly, “Lumos.” the witch mumbled under her breath as she entered the dark room. Shedding some light from her wand, Clara sighed and slowly dragged her feet down the first aisle. She shouldn’t be doing this alone, she knew that but yet something had led her to the hall that very day for some particular reason. Trailing a hand through her long, soft dark hair as she walked slowly down the aisle. Maybe she should just give up? No, she couldn’t she hadn’t even reached the third aisle yet, let alone the second. There where a million aisle in this bloody place but tonight, Clara would only be doing ten as she was on her own.
When Clara had came to the second aisle something suspicious had caught her attention. A noise. Obviously someone was here. Quickly putting out the small light that came from her wand, Clara silently hurried towards the noise as she moved closer an outline of a figure was coming into few. Making one swift movement, Clara’s wand was at the figures neck. Once again, she shed some light and she was rather surprised to see who had broken into the hall. “Potter’s daughter?”

Caught.
Lilly had been getting rather tiresome of looking for the prophecy, she had already tried to bring it too her with the few spells she knew, but she already guessed that it wouldn't fly to her. She knew it wasn't going to be easy. She slowed down her fast paced walk, she was going to have too look carefully, she didn't want to get to the end and have to turn round to come find it again. She blew her frindge out the way.
She looked past a few and then rushed back thinking it was her name, that was quick she thought. But when she went to pick it up it wouldn't budge. She double checked the name, she was wrong. "Damn." she muttered, her adrenaline rush going away. She thought she had cut through time early but apparently not. She sighed and returned back to her search. "Lumos" she muttered lighting her wand for a better view, as she walked it seemed that it was getting darker.
Lilly hated being alone in the dark, never knowing what could be ahead. She had always feared them, sometimes she had nightmares of dementors dragging her in. Shrugging the thoughts of she knew she was just over reacting. No dementors would be here in the ministry, she knew that, they belonged at Azkaban. She sighed again, her arm starting to ache from browsing every single name."Urgh.." she muttered, even though her sounds were quiet they seemed to echo through the whole room.
Lilly heared the door close. Could there be someone else that has just entered? She considered running, but then it would have been too much noise. She turned back looking down at her wand "Nox" she muttered the light at the end of her wand going out almost instantly. She didn't care where she was going now but she was rushing to find an exit. If the ministry found out she broke in, no doubt they would find out she was a death eater too. "Your an idiot Lilly" she let slip her lips but only quietly.
She gasped when she came to a halt only to have a wand pointed directly at her neck. Busted. Lilly gripped tighter her wand, it was a woman; more commonly known as Clara Grant, head of department of Mysteries. What was she doing her? Either way Lilly's luck had just ran out. Clara had also recognized her as Potters daughter, another downside. Could it get any worse. Lilly thought of her choices, she could run and get caught, stand and get taken in with Clara or fight. Lilly stayed quiet gripping tightly onto her wand. Clara was pregnant she wouldn't fight her and plus the woman had an advantage, there was no chance of getting away from a well experienced ministry worker.

It was a surprise to find Lily Potter standing in front of her, Potter’s daughter up to no good. What was she here for? Only one reason obviously to claim her prophecy. She really didn’t understand why people where so eager to look into their future to find out how the die for goodness sake, wasn’t life supposed to be completely unexpected? It would be rather shitty if you found out what the future held for you now especially for a fourteen year old girl who was up to no good.
Continuing to hold the wand to the young girl’s neck just not as close as it was before. Raising an eyebrow Clara really didn’t know what to expect. Yes she knew the girl was in Slytherin and yes it would be obvious that she’d be constantly getting into trouble but not in a million years would she expect to find such a young person roaming around the hall trying to hunt down their prophecy and the likeliness of her finding it was very, very unlikely. Clara knew exactly where almost every prophecy was placed, they where somewhat in order.
“You know if your looking for your prophecy then you’ll probably spend at least a year of two trying to find it.” Really though, Clara wasn’t exaggerating. Every witch or wizard that was a resident of Britain had a prophecy, a prophecy that was currently held in this very hall. Now imagine going through every single one trying to find your own, by the time you reached it you’d most likely be taking your last breath and the only thing the prophecy would be able to tell you is that you’d wasted your life looking for something that meant absolutely nothing.
“Now what in the name of Merlin made you think you can wonder in here Lily? You could get in serious, and I mean serious trouble for doing something like this. It’s breaking an entry.” Clara shook her head and moved the wand away from the girl’s neck but still held in tightly in her hand just in case the girl decided to do something rational. Lately the last thing Clara had wanted to do was piss someone off and that was the reason she was leaving work a few weeks early, she couldn’t do her job properly and she really didn’t see the need to be here if she unable to do what she was employed to do. Clara had learned over the years pissing people off usually led to a few spells here and a few spells there, she just didn’t want to risk anything. Waving her hand in the air, Clara muttered a few words under her breath a with in a second the whole hall had been lit up. Looking at Lily she remembered the girl who had the courage to stand up to her in the dress shop, she had gained some respect from Clara. “I’m letting you leave here without me mentioning anything to anyone but only on one term, that you do not trespass in here again.” The witch thought it was a good deal considering if it was anyone else who could’ve been a threat, their punishment couldn’t been severe. Although Clara was Harry’s daughter, people considered her just as good as her father and would’ve do no harm, she was just curious but Clara on the other hand knew anyone could be a threat despite how good their family had been, there was always one who went against them and she couldn’t be sure if that would be Lily. I can't promise that
Lilly could see the utter surprise in Clara's face, she looked different since the last time they'd met and Lilly had faced up to her in the robe shop. Not that Lilly cared for the past. She watched as the wand came further away from Lillys neck, at least she was letting her go.
Lilly didn't want too, she didn't care how long it took she needed her prophecy, and she most likely wouldn't give up till she got it. She took after her dad like that. She looked around at the other orbs they all had swirling silver smoke drifting inside them. She looked back at Clara she still hadn't spoke, it was obvious she was well past recognised. "I just need to see my prophecy." she finally said. She didn't ask and she didn't order she just said she needed it. It was more urgent than anything.
Lilly had never thought to how she would die, nor did she want too. She only needed to see what was destined for her, wether it was to go against the ministry, her family and friends and carry on with being a death eater, or wether it was escape from Jack and Mag and try talk to the ministry for help, though she doubted even her family would when they found out what she had done.
Lilly decided to answer Clara's next question. "I didn't think i would get caught... sorry" Lilly rarely ever said sorry to people, and she was only trying to get herself out of trouble. She wondered what the punishment actually was but shrugged the thoughts out of her mind. Clara had already said she could go, not that she would, she knew she would still return.
Lilly still clutched her wand, ready to strike if she needed too, but she decided to at least ask. "Please, i wouldn't ask if it wasn't serious... can i just see my Prophecy." Lilly was begging her now. Just one look too see what her future held for her, she wasn't sure what help it would be but maybe she just thought she could change her future.. that was if what had been forseen was bad. If it all looked good for her she may consider staying a death eater. She stopped her thinking and waited for Clara's answer. She hadn't planned what she would do if Clara said no.

Clara really didn’t know what to do or say, she was dumbfounded. Why had this girl been so stupid to wonder in here thinking that she could actually get away with it? Wasn’t she worried about the consequences? Obviously not if she continued to stand there staring at Clara. If it was she in that position, she would make a full sprint for the door but then again, she was a fourteen year old girl and Clara was Twenty, what was the point in that? One spell and the girl could be standing right in front of her again.
"I just need to see my prophecy."
“As does everyone.” She remarked with a twitched eyebrow. Everyone wanted to see their prophecy, there had been numerous of times when people had come to her offering a substantial amount of money to see the bloody thing and as always Clara refused. Why wouldn’t she do it now? Pushing a strand of brown hair from her blue eyes, Clara didn’t once decide to look away from the girl, one glance away and it give the girl a chance to disappear. Although that was what Clara had wished for the girl to disappear and none of this would be happening, it was only making her time here longer and she dearly wanted to go home.
Home. The thought of it made her yearn for it even more now than before. Clara prayed this one be a quick and easy job, hoping that Lily would forget about everything and turn her back and walk. Who was she kidding? She was Harry Potter’s daughter and if she had inherited anything from her father then Clara guessed it would be how determined they both where. Which meant Clara would only get Lily out by some persuasion and escorting the girl out herself.
"I didn't think i would get caught... sorry"
“Not many of us do.” It was true, most people thought they could get away with anything and not get caught, it was unfortunate really because the majority of the time everybody did. “It’s fine Lily just don’t do it again.” Honestly, Clara didn’t know why she said that. When a girl is told she can’t have something, she only wants it more. It was a known rule and the truth, in Clara’s opinion anyway.
"Please, i wouldn't ask if it wasn't serious... can i just see my Prophecy."
“Ask your father, I‘m sure he wouldn‘t mind letting you see it if it was so important.” What was so serious? What’s so serious about needing to look at a crystal ball? “Lily it is against the rules if I allowed you to see that. I could lose my job and not to mention despite knowing where your prophecy sits, I would have to call in someone to help me fetch it but even that would be risky.” If Clara did decide to help Lily, calling in a helping hand would only put both of them on the line and that was certainly not what Clara wanted. Ill do it myself.
Lilly could have cared less if anyone else wanted their prophecy, all she cared about was getting hers. She didn't really care how much trouble she would get in, though then she would be worried about what happened to her, it was a risk she was willing to take. She knew all that Clara would do now is escort her out, and Clara probably knew that Lily would walk back in again.
Lilly could tell Clara was in a bit of a rush but she dared ask why. What a conversation that would. But then Clara said it was fine, which meant she expected Lilly to leave. Lilly sighed, it looked like she wasn't going to help after all. But then Clara told her to ask her father. Now there was a conversation that would go down so very well. "Hi dad, can i go see my prophecy" "what ever for?" "Well you see I'm a death eater and i just wondered if i could go see my future" Yes, what fun that would have been, Lilly thought sarcastically. "I can't get my dad involved." she finally said to Clara, she sighed again, this was her last chance and she knew it. She knew it would be putting Clara's job on the line.
"It's really serious.. if i could tell you why i would but that would be a death sentence.. please? Or at least just let me look by myself?" That was the last plea Lilly would say. And she wasn't going to wait for the answer. The more time they wasted, the less time before there was a security check.

"I can't get my dad involved."
No girl ever enjoyed getting their father involved in their own business but occasionally in happened but it seemed Lily was reluctant to ask her father for her with her ‘serious’ situation. Clara was debating with herself whether she should just give up and go home allowing the girl to get caught by someone else who wouldn’t be so forgiving like herself or she could stand by her words and tell her a firm ‘no’ Honestly Clara was becoming too much of a softy and the only explanation to that was her pregnancy or that was what she liked to blame it on. “And why exactly can’t you get your father involved? I’m sure he’d be willing to help considering it is so serious.” Clara sighed softly to herself now getting tired of the situation she found herself in.
Clara looked directly at Lily and then she shrugged, what the hell was she thinking? “Fine look for yourself but if you plan on finding that prophecy you’ll be here for quite some time and there is a security check in…” Looking at her watch for a moment and then directing her gaze back to Lily, “thirty minutes. Good luck with that.” Mumbling under her breath Clara knew she’d probably regret giving into the girl but she really couldn’t care.
Turning her back to the girl, Clara slowly made her way towards the exit door. She could practically hear her bed calling her, the thought of resting her feet up made a small smile creep onto her lips. No more work, another thought that only made her smile get bigger. Just imagine, one more moth and she’d be finished work for almost a year if she was lucky, it was the good side of maternity leave…come to think of it, there wasn’t really a bad side to it.

Yes!
Lilly shook her head, she wouldn't tell Clara the problem for two reasons. 1) Clara would definitely get the ministry involved and 2) Death eaters would go after her and Lilly really didn't want her and her baby to be in danger. "Ha ha, if i told my dad.. i would definitely be dead" Lilly said. She really hadn't meant to laugh, it had just slipped out. She bit her bottom lip, Lilly was getting impatient, she never was like this before. But she just guessed desperation brought it on.
And Clara said to go do it herself. A big smile appeared on Lilly's face. "Thank you!" she said. Time? She didn't have long to look then. She gave Clara a quick hug, it was strange. To think it would only be a few months before the next wizard war began and only Lilly and other death eaters knew about it. None of the ministry would have guessed it would happen again.
Clara had started to walk off and Lilly looked at all the globes. What was she thinking, she had no chance of finding it in thirty minutes. But instead she was foolish to carry on looking. She thought maybe she should have told Clara the story, maybe Clara could have helped but she wasn't going to risk anybody else's lives in the stupid world of Lilly Potter.
