YOU'DFLYUPACROSSTHESKYJUST TO PROVE YOUR POINT NOW WOULDN'T YOU?• { ❀ } • { ❀ } • { ❀ } • { ❀ } • { ❀ } • { ❀ } • THE past couple days had been anything but enjoyable for the young Slytherin. She had spent the majority of it either holed up in her dorm chainsmoking or trying to shut her brain off with a multitude of parties. Course, the last part was enjoyable, as always. It was usually the morning after that you realized just how much damage you had done the previous night, however, much like her scenario with Eric. She knew she should've reacted better, that she shouldn't of run away after he put himself on the line like that, but she couldn't help it. She wasn't good with commitment, hell, Eric knew that before he even got involved with her. He should've known she'd bolt, never having stuck around to share her feelings and just being all around horrible at expressing herself. Of course he knew all these things, but that didn't change the fact that her actions hurt him far more than she could imagine. She had no idea how he must be feeling right now, though she almost considered it to still be a joke, that a man like Eric Strobe couldn't possibly want anything more than sex from her.
She had to admit, his words had surprised her beyond belief, hence why she had to escape immediately. She wasn't good under pressure, especially when someone like Eric had just confessed he wanted their flings to be more than flings, he wanted it to be something they did on a 'regular basis.' His words echoed in her mind, she could practically feel his breath on the back of her neck. She wanted desperately to please him so, to envelop him in an embrace that would make all the doubt go away, but she would never be able to do that. She would never be the girl that Eric needed, she would always disappoint him. She wondered what it was about her that drew him to her but couldn't pinpoint a reason, instead focusing on the memory of his dark, sultry eyes and his soft, warm lips leaving a trail of kisses along every inch of her body. Though she wouldn't admit it, Lily missed him deeply, a sigh of frustration escaping her lips as she placed her head in her hands, nursing the hangover from the previous night in the process. Knowing this just wouldn't do, she grabbed a bottle of Firewhiskey from her bag and downed a couple gulps of it, her face scrunching up at the bitter taste before she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand.
Emerald green hues gazed out the window, relishing in the fact that at least she wasn't outside, at least she was safe in her dorm. She downed another gulp of her drink, hoping to drown out her roommates' snoring in the process. They had all partied rather hard last night and it seemed her roommates had had a bit too much, having projectile vomitted all over the wooden floor as well as in their bathroom. Luckily, Lily had been focused enough to where she could magically clean it before she passed out, her roommates being of no help as they merely passed out atop their beds, not even bothering to change out of their dirty dresses. Her focus shifted to the top of one of their heads, which looked matted with vomit, and her nose scrunched up in disgust before it dawned on her that her morning might be better spent in the confines of her bed, grabbing her bag and the Firewhiskey and tossing it onto the surface. She then sat cross-legged in the middle, using magic to draw the curtains to a close around her bed and putting up a couple of spells that would dilude her roommates' incessant noises.
Rummaging around inside her bag, she grabbed a cigarette and placed it between her lips, using the tip of her wand to spark it up. Inhaling nicotine, her eyes fluttered shut at the sensation, hoping that peace would awaken within her mind today. She was tired of thinking about the chain of events, tired of even being alive. She knew she had fucked up with Eric for good, that he probably wouldn't even want to see her again. Her brow furrowed in worry as she placed her head in her hands, fingers running through her messy hair in the process. She must look a right mess right now, her make up messed up from the previous night and hair that she hadn't bothered running a brush through. She shrugged, figuring she didn't have anybody to impress so there was no real need for her to dress up. She was clad in her satin green dress from the party, which despite her escapades, hadn't become as dirty as she anticipated. She recalled another woman's lips upon her own at one point but it was all a little fuzzy. Leaning back against her pillows, her legs stretching out in front of her, she took another gulp of her drink as well as another drag of her cigarette, hoping to slow her mind down so that her thoughts would cease to exist. Eric's image burned ever so brightly behind her eyelids, his scent wrapping around her nostrils and threatening to never let go, confirming that this would not be a love easily forgotten.

Look In My Eyes, You're Killing Me Killing Me, All I Wanted Was You Come Break Me Down, Bury Me Bury Me TAG: Lily<3 MUSIC: 30/Mars ONE LAST THING: I adored your post!
He had been watching her, like a spy following her where she would roam, which was not far. She had not come out much at all, spending her time up in the dorm that he had never seen. He had no clue how to get in there, how to go to her, if he even wanted to go to her. He had given her something he never offered anyone else, and she had turned away, ran, ignored him since then. The time that fell away into madness had disrupted his business, his key interactions with others, his life in general. He was angry, he was confused, he was hurt. She was the cause of all his misery, and he hated her for it all.
This was not true. He did not hate her, but he did hate himself. He hated himself for actually going through with his compulsion and letting this girl in, and asking her... He would not think of it. He would turn away from the thought and simply just leave. Why should he burden himself with someone who did not want him? What is there to gain from telling her his feelings, it would be nothing but giving her power over him. He would not do it, he simply did not feel like putting his own neck on the line. Handing over the keys to his heart was not in his DNA. He was no lover, and this girl had twisted everything in his life around.
Eric had let her.
Several third year girls opened the dorm door, and started to go up the stairs just visible beyond. Eric inhaled sharply, and everything he had just been thinking about emptied from his mind. He charged ahead with a gruff yell for the girls to be out of his way. His first five steps upward into the dark was met with no resistance. He thought he might make it to the door where the brass handle gleamed in the darkness. Then there was a sharp and shrill siren, and he was shoved back by an invisible force. Eric flew through the air, passed several stairs, and was pushed through the door back into the common room. He hit the ground and all the air was ripped form his lungs. He called out her name with a scream.
Eric was fevered, his face was red, and his hair was in spikes on his head. He never felt so mortified, so angry, so seemingly lost to do anything at all but huff at the door and growl at the giggling girls. They disappeared up into the darkness, and he moved his wand from his inner pocket. He eyed the door, and stalked to it once more. The common room emptied behind him as the students present decided they did not want to be around for what might happen next. Eric was about to stick his wand into the doorway, but then backed down. He tried to calm his nerves, but the anger was too high.
"Lily! He roared into the door aiming his voice toward the inner door so that anyone inside might hear. "Lily! Come down! His voice caught in his throat as a small face peaked out of the door above. A face almost as ghostly as any he had ever seen looked down at him. "She is not here, she is gone. She does not want to speak with you, Eric Strobe. Go away!" His face screwed up into total shock that the younger student would dare speak to him in such a way. "Come down Lily, or so help me, I will find a way to come up to you. Do not doubt my words!" He stepped back and allowed the door to slam behind him. Eric moved around the common room not letting his eyes move from the door. He would get in, one way or another.

. { ❀ } . YOU'DFLYUPACROSSTHESKYJUST TO PROVE YOUR POINT NOW WOULDN'T YOU?• { ❀ } • { ❀ } • { ❀ } • { ❀ } • { ❀ } • { ❀ } • A sigh emitted from her lips, fingers running through her hair in an attempt to stop the thoughts that were now circulating in her mind. She couldn't erase Eric's image, he burned so brightly it was getting hard to see. She buried her face into her pillow and screamed in frustration, hoping it would help ease the emotions that coursed through her veins. Never did she think that a bloke would get the best of her, especially one like that of Eric Strobe. She should hate him, should feel absolutely nothing for him for love only ruined things. Love killed everything that mattered but the idea of it, of him, only made her heart beat faster. She could feel it pounding against her rib cage, as if it was attempting to escape. Bringing her face back from the pillow, she placed it behind her frame and leaned her back against it with the hopes that a comfortable position would ease her flow of thoughts. Unfortunately, no such luck was on her side for no matter how comfortable she was, it wouldn't be enough until she fixed things with Eric.
The thought of fixing things with him was terrifying. She didn't even know what to say to him or how to go about apologizing. Lily had never been one too great at apologizing, unless she felt she had been in the wrong. She knew she was in the wrong this time, but at the same time, she felt she wasn't. She doubted Eric was as devastated by what had happened as she was, he had probably already bounced back and was off making money. Sitting cross-legged, she grabbed her pillow and hugged it to her chest, chin resting atop it. Her bottle of Firewhiskey was held just as protectively close, resting against the front side of the pillow, though soon she brought it to her lips and downed another gulp. She could almost feel it hitting her already, a bit surprised since she hadn't thought she had drank that much, but upon further examination of the bottle, the liquid was already near the bottom, perhaps a few more gulps left. She couldn't help but laugh pathetically, realizing just how much affect Eric had over her heart. How had she let it get this bad?
The sound of a muffled yell alerted her senses and she removed the silencing spell around her bed. She could hear commotion outside and as a loud siren sounded, she knew a bloke had tried going up the stairs to the girls' dorms. She was unsure of who it was until she heard a familiar voice scream her name. Her breath hitched in her throat, hoping it wasn't true, that Eric really wasn't trying to get up to the girls' dorms. What would she say? Would he even listen to her reasoning? Eric was normally a reasonable man but she knew his temper sometimes got the better of him, though it was rare for him to ever even show his anger. She was scared to look into his dark eyes and see nothing but hatred staring back. She wanted to remember things from how they used to be, how gently his eyes grazed her frame before his soft lips met her own. How she missed those days quite terribly now. She hadn't thought she could fuck it up in one night, but hell, she's Lily Potter, of course she's going to fuck shit up quickly, especially when it came to what mattered in her heart.
She was a coward when it came to love, she was afraid to accept its embrace, afraid to let it envelop her senses for fear that vulnerability would get the best of her. She hated feeling vulnerable so never put herself on the line like that, though that thought only further propelled her depression as she remembered that Eric had put himself on the line like that and she had just shot him down. She hadn't said a word to him since that night, hadn't said a word to anyone really unless she had been talking to them at a party though that was highly unlikely. She hadn't gone to parties recently to socialize, but rather to just get as fucked up as possible so she couldn't think anymore. Emotions were consuming her, eating at her insides, and she had no idea how to control them. Giggling penetrated her ears and she glanced up to see a couple third year girls entering the dorm, almost immediately nearing her, speaking about how Eric Strobe was down in the common room, livid with anger and trying desperately to reach her in the girls' dorm. Her face fell, though she shielded it from them. She didn't want them to see her in such a weak state, but it seemed it was impossible to avoid for only Eric could make her this weak.
He screamed her name, this time much louder than before, as if he was closer to the door. Her pillow fell off her lap as she drew her knees to her chest, eyes squeezing shut as she covered her ears. She hated the anger teeming from his tone, hated that he was angry and she could do nothing about it because she was a coward and had no idea what to say. She wished she could just run down there, make love to him and everything would be okay. Unfortunately, such matters would not be fixed so easily, this situation required talking, something she was unwilling to do for there were too many words she wanted to say but not enough courage to say them. Maybe this was why she hadn't been sorted into Gryffindor and why she was less of a Potter because of it, she couldn't even tell the guy she loved how she felt, instead running away and using her time to get drunk and high so as to squash her stem of thoughts. She just wanted to turn her brain off, cease from existing altogether maybe. It would all be so much easier if she wasn't alive, but even so, she wasn't that much of a coward.
Eric screamed her name once more before demanding she come down to which she responded by shaking her head, ears still covered and eyes still shut. She couldn't handle this, she had no idea what to say or what to do. She was scared that even if she admitted her weaknesses and told Eric how she really felt, it wouldn't be enough and he would simply walk away and leave her in the same state she had left him. One of the third year girls laid a delicate hand on her shoulder before making her way towards the door, head peeking out as she explained that Lily wasn't here and that she didn't want to speak to him before telling him to go away. Lily could only imagine the look of sheer contempt and shock that were washing over Eric's features at witnessing a little girl talking to him in such a manner, causing a soft chuckle to escape before it turned into a groan of frustration. She heard him shouting once more, telling her to come down or he'd find a way to come up to her, 'mark his words.' She swung her legs to the opposite side of the bed, her elbows resting atop her knees as she ran her fingers through her hair, remaining with her head in her hands. She was unsure of what to do or how to react and so remained where she was, albeit a bit curious to see how Eric would manage getting up to the girls' dorms. She could feel tears welling up and she smacked herself in the side of the head, scolding herself for caring. How much simpler this would be if she didn't care for him so much but sadly, she cared a great deal and knew she would never love another man in this way, a fact which only made her hate herself more for letting herself getting caught in his spider's web.

Look In My Eyes, You're Killing Me Killing Me, All I Wanted Was You Come Break Me Down, Bury Me Bury Me TAG: Lily<3 MUSIC: 30/Mars ONE LAST THING: Wow, you are amazing!!
Mostly his dark mood was due to his own frustration about this damn girl being firmly entrenched in his mind. She had accompanied each dream, each wakening moment, and took over every single thought since the last moment they had spent together. He could not close his eyes without seeing her red hair, and warm smile. All of these things never meant a damn thing to him before the night she walked away. One cowardly moment had changed his feelings completely. Eric was not certain if it was due to the fact that he was no longer in control, or if she had weaseled her way into him in a way no one else ever could. He held firm to the belief that it was not his fault, if she had any amount of guts at all she would have stood up to him and let him know how she felt. Now his anger continued to build, fostered by a deep seeded hope that he never intended to allow to capture him as it had, and she was so close. Yet, so far.
Was it some sort of mental breakdown he was suffering? Perhaps his well ordered life had built up inside him for so long that it was bound to topple over and bury him in a mountain of pure hate? If this was hate, then why was she in the center of it all? He could as easily hate anyone else in the damned school, what made this girl so special? What made everything seem to revolve around her? Was not love nothing more than a chemical reaction someone could get by eating too much sweets? He thought so, it was just another distraction from the more important things in life. Lily was leading that distraction, and tucking him firmly into a bed of woe. He was not appreciative.
At the same time, he could simply not get the girl out of his head. He could swoon thinking of the first time she had touched him. He could melt away into a gusher just by a dream of her holding him close. He could hate her as forceful as he could love her. She was not chocolate, or any other sweet candy. She was Lily Potter, and he loved her. That made him even more pissed off than the notion that she had got so close to him over the course of the last several years they had spent together. It was not like either of them had meant for this to happen beyond the simple pleasure they could share. Eric never wanted some stupid girl in his life, to hold him back from his true potential. No, he never wanted more than what wiggled in her pants, and jiggled under her shirt. The bitch had to have placed some sort of enchantment on her lady parts to make him act so irrational. He would get to the bottom of this, and soon.
Yet the soft angel wings fluttered in his stomach. His heart jumped into his throat, and even he could not gurgle it down. It would choke him, kill him, be the end of him for good. He held no doubt about this, and would not even wish this on his worst enemy. She consumed him, and for all the lust he felt, he felt the burning desire for hate almost as deep. With a snort he charged toward the door again. No spells would hold him back, nothing could keep him from facing her, and accusing her of haunting him with some curse. Eric would be rid of her tonight, once and for all. Nothing anyone could do would stop his madness. Not even the soft eyes of Lily Luna Potter.

YOU'DFLYUPACROSSTHESKYJUST TO PROVE YOUR POINT NOW WOULDN'T YOU?• { ❀ } • { ❀ } • { ❀ } • { ❀ } • { ❀ } • { ❀ } • THE dark, so useful in shielding your frame from view, would do no good for the redhead now. Her dorm had grown dark over the past couple minutes, as if it was reflecting how she felt inside. Her head remained in her hands, fingers gripping her hair at the roots. How she wished she could just make this all go away, that she could just gather up the courage to walk outside her dorm, confront Eric, and stop the madness from ensuing. She couldn't help but wish her father was here, he would know what to do. Knowing him, he'd most likely tell her to just talk to Eric. A pathetic chuckle escaped her lungs at the thought, if it was only that simple. Lily knew he wouldn't take into account how cowardly his daughter was, I mean, for fuck's sake, how was she to call herself a Potter? She couldn't even tell someone how she truly felt about them, someone who had wormed their way into her heart and ate away at the lonliness inside. She hadn't realized how unhappy she had been without Eric, how much he shined in comparison to the dark she so desperately clinged to. He was like her own personal piece of heaven and yet she had fucked it all up, as usual.
She squeezed her eyelids shut, tears threatening to break through. She hit herself on the side of the head again, hoping maybe it might stem her flow of thoughts. Well, that, or maybe she'll accidentally hit herself so hard she falls into a coma. Her shoulders grew tense as she felt a hand comfortingly lay across them, forgetting that she hadn't been alone. Her eyes opened to reveal that the group of third year girls from before were still surrounding her, a fact she was uncaring of as a tear managed to escape. It was all over then, Lily letting sobs wrack her frame, scooting back onto the bed and wrapping her arms around her legs, pillow pressed against her chest. She couldn't do this and it hurt even more to imagine how much Eric hated her in this moment. She had taken a wonderful thing and ruined it with one simple action. Why had she been so daft to think it best to run away? She supposed that was the coward in her talking, tears continuing to stream down her face, wishing there was a way she could fix this without seeing the hatred that she was sure resided in Eric's eyes. She couldn't bear the thought that he hated her, couldn't bear that he most likely wanted nothing to do with her.
Maybe that was why she had been hiding out in her dorm? She knew that if she avoided him, there'd be no way they could talk and therefore, would remain in the same state as that night. They wouldn't be together but they wouldn't be enemies, though Lily did want to be with him, she was scared of change. She was afraid of evolving with Eric, fearful of what might happen after she let herself get lost inside the confines of his heart. She knew the moment she agreed to be his girlfriend, everything would flip upside down and she'd most likely become unhappy and spiral out of control, pressure baring down on her. Her breath hitched in her throat as the tears subsequently stopped, her head snapping up to scan her surroundings. It dawned on her then that she couldn't be any more unhappy than she was right now and that was just because she screwed things up, maybe she was just afraid of being happy? Perhaps she had grown so comfortable being alone that the thought of being with someone terrified the shit out of her. She was scared to open up, scared to let him inside her head. What if he got cold feet and realized she wasn't what he really wanted, heading off to find the next piece of tail? She wouldn't be able to bear it and would most likely retreat inside herself even further in an attempt to escape.
A siren broke her out of her reverie, signalling that Eric had tried making it up to the girls' dorm once more. It seemed he wasn't going to give up so easily and his words rang true. Determination suddenly swept her form and she knew that no matter how badly she wished she hadn't run away, it had happened and there was nothing she could do to change it. But she could change the outcome and make Eric see that despite her cowardly nature, she did love him and that she was sorry for running away. She couldn't avoid the truth forever for the longer she ran, the harder it would become to fix what had been broken. She glanced around to find the third year girls merely looking on sadly and she narrowed her eyes, a look that clearly meant for them to leave her alone. She knew that even if they walked down the stairs the same time that Eric was coming up it wouldn't make a damn bit of difference but she had to try, right? They left almost immediately and after a few moments, Lily stood and made her way towards the door. She creaked it open enough to where she could see down the stairwell, her emerald green hues searching for that familiar face that she so desperately craved.

Look In My Eyes, You're Killing Me Killing Me, All I Wanted Was You Come Break Me Down, Bury Me Bury Me TAG: Lily<3 MUSIC: 30/Mars ONE LAST THING: Sorry so late. You know where I've been.
The pulse pounded in his temples as he struggled to regain some semblance of control over his raging emotions. How he had allowed himself to come to this point he did not know. What Eric did know was that all his walls had crumbled down in the short span of a few weeks, and he did not like it. His world had tumbled and landed on it's head. This was something he had never expected, and it was the one thing he would have fought to avoid. Only he had not seen it coming, and it hit him over the head like a ten ton heavy thing. He blinked, and looked around the common area. Thankfully, most the other students had escaped his wraith. No one was left to see him fight himself for control. His eyes ached, and his fingers forced a rub on his temples as he closed those dark eyes. The view of the common room disappeared and all he could see was her freckled face. She looked marble in his mind's eye, like a statue of love mocking him from soft shadows of memory. He hated her, but he loved her more than he thought would be possible.
There was nothing left to do.
He sighed, and turned his back to the door that lead to her dorm. He could not think of a way to get beyond the alarm and enter her chambers. Eric was not sure what he would do if he could get that far. He had no words to speak to her, and feared he would as soon smack her in her perfect mouth than to kiss those ruby lips. His fear welled in him like a dying spring in a winter thaw. His heart used to be as cold. No longer did it beat anything but her name, and he hated himself for loving her. Could he walk away and change things? He did not know, but knew that if he did not try there would be nothing but pain in his future. He did not want a future. He wanted an ending that was suitable for someone of his stature. He felt he had already ruined his life by losing control. If he did not regain charge of his emotions he could be lost forever, and no future worth living could be found with such breaking inside his chest. It was all that bitches fault. If she had not seduced him, he might have walked away unscathed by her. Still, he knew it was his fault all along. He could have said no. When her tongue touched his he could have bit down, tasted her blood, and laughed at her for trying. His cold heart could have survived the encounter and carried on with his life of hate.
He had done no such thing, and doubted he could have under the circumstances. He loved her, and this was something he had never imagined would occur in his dark life. She had changed something in him, and it ached to know. He wanted to touch her, to feel her, to see a glimpse of her beauty. He wanted to kiss her, to taste her, to love her like they were together. He did not know what he wanted, but knew that if he did not find out he might just go crazy with the thoughts of not knowing. Eric sighed and opened his eyes. He went to the door and knocked lightly. His voice was a tremble, and his heart broke for the way he sounded when he spoke next. The air was low in his lungs, and all he wished he could do was found his lost self. Lost forever in a flurry of red.
"Lily? Can we talk?"
