PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:[/font]
Savvy stands at exactly 5'2", and she's proud. For such a short girl, she walks like she's tall, and her legs are her favorite feature. Her feet, though, are huge for such a small person; something she hates. Years of running and what her mother calls 'yoga' have made have strong core muscles. There's little muscle though, because weight training was never anything she was interested in. Being thin doesn't come naturally, this she got from her mother; so she's not exactly lean. She's at least a quarter Italian, so her skin is a little darker than her siblings. During the winter, you wouldn't even realized it.
Blue eyes that seem to bore into your soul run in the Ridan family. At best, they seem to sparkle, but when you anger her, they turn as cold as ice. Her personality, the one that ended her up in Hufflepuff, gives her a look of innocence. Her lips are full and pink, but she bites them when she gets nervous so they often look cherry red. When she was four years old, her half brother shoved her face first into a wood coffee table, pushing one of her bottom teeth through her lip. Although she was fine, there's a scar shaped like a lightning bolt just beneath the curve of her mouth. It's barely noticeable, but it makes her incredibly self conscious. Also, her adult teeth came in a little crooked, so her mom taught her to smile with her mouth closed, and rarely laugh. And then, of course, there is The Hair. The Hair that makes people stop do a double take. When she was born, she had bright yellow tufts of hair. All throughout her childhood she was blonde as can be. It was only after she turned eight when it started getting darker. For a while her mother highlighted it, but after a while it got so dark it didn't even matter. She was ashamed of how different she looked from her siblings for years. The Hair is dark brown, and thick and wavy. It goes to the middle of her back. In the sunlight, it still glints just a little bit blonde.

BOGGART: it's form, the fear and what is done to vanish it.
The boggart she sees is her baby brother lying dead, disfigured.
PATRONUS:
happiest memory, and the shape it takes. She fears this above all else because her mother never truly accepted her, and her baby brother (technically, half brother) was basically her child. All responsibility for him was placed on her, and he is her favorite person on the planet. The thought of loosing him is excruciatingly painful. To get rid of it, she thinks about hamsters.
AMORTENTIA:
~ the scent of mint, like mint gum
~ coconut and vanilla
~ the smell of old print, like in books.
LIKES:
+ her half-siblings, with the exception of the oldest one.
+ Studying and doing well in school.
+ Potions
+ History of Magic
+ coffee. lots of coffee.
DISLIKES
` Muggle studies
` Math
` Her mother
` Hospitals, blood, and needles
` The dark
PERSONALITY:
True to her house, she's sweet, loyal and passive-aggressive. Never once has she gone back on a promise, or purposely hurt the ones she loves most. Out of her three siblings, she's the quietest and this made her a target often as a child. Maybe if she hadn't been picked on relentlessly, she would be more opinionated. In heated debates, she could be swayed without really trying, forever trying to please everyone. Not that she would ever be near a heated debate, yelling makes her cry. She tries so hard to be tough, to pretend she doesn't see her mothers disapproving stares, and even harder to pretend it doesn't bother her. But it does, and it all bottles up. Maybe one day Sav will reach her breaking point, and everything just spill out.
Never once, she can recall, has she ever been angry outwardly. Savvy doesn't hold grudges, and forgives people with unfailing consistency. No matter how often they hurt her, one pleading stare will be enough. Whenever any of her friends cry, she lets them cry on her. Never one to say i told you so, she has outstanding patience. Her temper is so mild, it often appears she doesn't have one. Around new people, she's friendly but reserved. Most people dont exactly appreciate it when you bound over and practically tackle them, unless you have four legs and a tail, so she has to contain her enthusiasm. She's pretty bland, outwardly. So bland, in fact, that a DADA teacher once told her that magic was 'a gift that had been wasted on you, dear." Although she does well in her studies, she exceeds in nothing other than Potions, and even there her talents are not great.
Since childhood, she's been afraid of the dark. At Hogwarts, you sleep in a dorm full of other girls who need to rest, so you can't leave a nightlight on; which is why she doesn't sleep too much. This also explains her love of coffee. After a while, she just came to accept the fact that sleep eluded her and took to spending her nights doing other things, such as homework. The library is one of her favorite places, not because she loves to read (which she does), but because she simply loves parchment looks and smells- it's quite odd. Wandering is also one of her favorite past-times, though her internal sense of direction is terrible.
i will be rising from the ground

HISTORY
Charlotte had a lot of promise after graduation; her parents were sure that a cunning, beautiful, pureblooded woman could make something of herself. And she intended to. The first promotion she ever received at the Ministry was from her boss, a dark haired man named Silas. At the time, she was only twenty years of age with legs up to her chin and the most startlingly blue eyes. Silas took notice of this, of course and Charlotte's shiny new promotion came with strings attached. They had a fling that lasted about three weeks, and they did a poor job of hiding it. Often times Char would leave his office with her clothes wrinkled and her hair a mess. It was only a matter of time before one of her co-workers, a short, sniveling little man (whom Charlotte later married) reported them. Char was let off with a slap on the wrist, but Silas was fired, leaving Charlotte two weeks pregnant. And so, Savvy was born.
Charlotte recovered in record time, and with three months she had a serious relationship ahead of her. The sniveling little man had set his sights on Char the moment he saw her, but Silas got in his way. With Silas gone, of course, this left her in a very vulnerable position. He was so good, so kind to her baby; the one she looked at with resentful eyes- the one she forever blamed for ruining what could have been 'a very successful career'. Nate had a baby of his own, just over a year and a half; Charles. This made them compatible, and in the situation, Nate was Charlotte's best option. They were married on Valentine's Day, with no regard to the fact that it was Sav's birthday. This was pretty much how it was; Sav slipped through the cracks, just borderline of neglected.
She never WAS neglected, though, not that any teachers could find. Vena was born shortly after the marriage. All of the time Sav could remember, she took a back seat to Vena. Vena, in all of her glory, was smart, athletic and bossy. Both of Nate's children were sorted into Slytherin, and the parents couldn't have been prouder. When Sav wrote, reporting that the raggedy old put her into Hufflepuff, they weren't surprised; despite her fear. Although, when she and her siblings came home for Christmas, Charlotte looked down disapprovingly at Sav and muttered "I should've known, since the first time i laid eyes on you. You were always weak." Nate JR was born last; and received similar treatment to Savvy. Nate Sr was sure his child would be like his step-daughter, weak and passive. In a way, he was right; Nate JR was later sorted into Ravenclaw. The majority of Little Nate's care came from Sav, much to her delight. After years, she was so happy, so very joyful to have someone else at home who was like her. Charlotte was warmer to him, probably because Vena and Charles were the dream children she always wanted.
Sav was twelve when the Wizarding laws changed. To her, it wasn't a shock because in her home, Nate and Char, the Slytherin's were always superior. As a Hufflepuff, from the time the hat spat out the word, she knew she wouldn't be welcomed home for very much longer. In a way, it provided relief, she had an excuse to leave. Vena and Charles could live with her parents forever, for all Sav cared. They were never her siblings. At this time, Nate JR was preparing himself to go Hogwarts. With half of her heart, Sav hoped he would be in Slytherin so he could always have the financial support of her parents. The other half, however, wanted him to be in Hufflepuff, with her. She wanted to give him the chance to go, and be his own person. She got neither. He was sorted into Ravenclaw, and Charlotte grew even more distant to her youngest child. To this day, Sav is protective of him, he is the only thing in the world she would fight for.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:Charles Brooks founded his multi-million dollar company when he was twenty five. He founded closed captioning after witnessing hearing-deficient children struggling to enjoy television. It took off right away; five minutes after his pitch went global thousands of companies practically threw money at him, wanting a chance to advertise at the end of episodes. Within months every channel offered some type of captioning. But you didn’t know that, did you? No, you wouldn’t, because it wasn’t the kind of thing to draw media fire. However, millions were made and Charles would never have to work another day of his life. On a business trip in New York City he met a pretty young thing called Melody, and it was love at first site. Charles fell in love with Mel, and Mel with the type of life he lived. During their quick fling, he took her out for expensive dinners, bought her clothes, and made her feel special. However, when it was time to go back to L.A., Charles said goodbye to his lovely Melody, leaving her to peruse her dream of being a Broadway Dancer. It broke his heart to leave her, but it was for the best. Nine months later, though, in the middle of the night, there was a knock on the door. Bleary eyed, Charles stumbled down the stairs and threw open the door with his gun in hand. In front of him stood Melody, and in her arms, a child.
They went inside and talked until the sun came up, and Melody explained how as soon as Charles left she discovered that she was carrying his child. Knowing she could never support a baby on an off-Broadway dancer’s salary, she reached out. Her parents were so horrified that their daughter would have premarital sex at all; they demanded that she gave the child away or they would disown her. Wanting to give her child a better life, she agreed, not telling them who the baby’s father is. After birth she told them she was meeting with a nice, Christian couple in L.A., to hand off the baby. Truthfully, Mel never really looked at the baby like the little girl was her own. Yet, when it came time to hand her off, Mel felt full of sorrow. Sniffling, she murmured to Charles, “What’ll you call her?” after a moment of thinking, he decided the name Ariana, after his mother. That morning Melody left, flying back to Illinois to be with her parents, leaving the baby girl with only a necklace with ballet shoes on it and a lifetime of dreams Mel knew she could never herself pursue. The only thing that kept her from running back to them was the way Charles looked at Ari; like she was made of gold.
Ariana grew into a beautiful, bubbly child. From the time she could walk, she was dancing. Ballet, jazz, tap and hip pop music filled the house. Charles adored Ari, but he had to work a lot, so he moved his housekeeper Margarite and her family into a spacious house about a half a mile down the road from them on their ten acre plot of land. While Charles was off in different countries for months at a time, Margarite was to bring up Ari like her own. Margarite was a short, sturdy Mexican woman who had eyes that’d lived much longer than the rest of her; she had three children, all roughly Ariana’s age. However, when the white women with their cruel voices down at Ari’s dance classes asked in slow English, “How many children do you have?” She always raised four fingers. Growing up without a mother, it was one of the few things that gave her a sense of belonging.
The few things Charles told Ari about her mother were centered on dance. He told her how Melody wanted to dance on Broadway in front of crowds, and that’s why Ari wears the ballet slipper necklace all the time. After hearing this, Ariana decided she wanted to follow in her mom’s footsteps. Dance became her life, if it hadn’t been already. Every day she followed a strict diet and routine, from the time she was seven. In bed by nine, no drinks other than water and stretching three times a day. Margarite disapproved of how serious Ari took dance, warning her not to burn out. But she never did.
