Scorpius was in one of his moods again, the ones that only cause trouble and piss his father off at him even more, that is if his father was to ever find out what exactly goes on at the school behind closed doors. Everyone knew that he was the guy who would hook up with any good looking girl no matter their blood status or house, it was fun for him, entertaining if you will. He always found pleasure in the chase and challenge, and even more pleasure when he got them. Now, it wasn’t like that was all he was about but he hadn’t yet found any girl that he could actually soully concentrate on, no one was entertaining enough for long. No girl he had met had been able to keep this Malfoy on his toes. It was kind of a pain actually because he got bored way to easily with the girls.
There was one girl that he seemed entertained by, at least for the moment, one that would piss daddy off so much he just couldn’t keep away. Oddly enough as it was. Savvy Ridan, a Hufflepuff who always got flustered around him, they had met randomly once, he couldn’t remember where, and whenever he got in his moods he always went in search of her. It wasn’t like he would get anything more from her, he knew that, unless somehow he turned up the charm and she fell for it. Maybe a kiss? That couldn’t hurt could it? He would have to find out, and soon. It had been too long since he had been kissed and he didn’t like that.
It wasn’t hard to find her, she stood out it seemed. Then again most Hufflepuffs always seemed to disappear out onto the grounds when the weather was nice like it was today, or that he had some good luck on finding her the first place he looked. Sadly it wasn’t in a more remote area where he could pull out all his charm, but he would have to make due with the grounds. Shaking his head he snickered as he came up behind her. He grabbed her sides real quick and let go, not wanting to push his boundaries already. “Well, well, well look who have here, Savvy Ridan in the flesh, what brings you out on this glorious day at Hogwarts?” He then walked more in front of her, not wanting to make her even more jumpy with him standing so close behind her, in time maybe he would be more daring but the two had only a few encounters and he knew when to and not to push the limits. And if he pissed her off or scared her off he lost his entertainment and he was not ready to deal with that…yet.
Leaning against a tree he crossed his arms over his chest and looked at the girl. She was different looking than most of the girls he was around. She was definitely beautiful, but her features weren’t like everyone elses, which made her unique, at least to him. He liked it, not that he would ever openly admit it like that out loud. No out loud he would simply use something more Malfoy like.

Maybe it was Hufflepuff instinct, but when the weather was nice, and the castle started to feel just a little bit too crowded, Savvy always found refuge in the grounds. Usually she tried to stay close to the lake; she liked to skip stones across the murky water, just to see it's reflection ripple. It was her safe place. Hogwarts itself represented safety for the Hufflepuff, whom had never really felt at home anywhere.
Her mother viewed Sav as a liability to her good name, as well as a burden. This made home life extremely unpleasant, and the fact that she also had two siblings that despised her (one that actually went to school with Savvy) didn't help either. She was constantly told she wasn't good enough, and after a while began to believe it. And that's how she spent the majority of her life; blaming herself for the things she couldn't control and despising herself for it. Only recently had she begun to come to terms with the fact that she would never change her mothers opinion. It was, at that point, Savvy realized she was free to be her own person.
She could do what she pleased. In fact, she could probably set the castle on fire, and her mother would still disprove of her the same amount. As sad of a realization as it was, it was also a huge relief. No longer did she try to keep her family pleased. Her last two years at Hogwarts should be spent with her having fun, not constantly being tormented! After a while, some of the people that had picked on her since first year had finally subsided because Savvy just wasn't giving them a reaction any more. Not to say that everyone she had been bullied by felt this way, but a good majority. It was the Slytherin Princess herself, Petra Connor, that had helped her. The disgust Petra had for Sav made the Hufflepuff think. All that time, deep down, she had known she wasn't worthless, it was just easier to act that way then try to stick up for herself.
Not that she ever did, she simply stopped reacting at all. It stopped upsetting her. As much as she wished that she was the kind of person to tell a bully to shove off, she simply wasn't. Savvy was, and always would be, a kindhearted person that couldn't kill a fly. A Hufflepuff would always be a badger at heart, and Sav also came to accept that about herself. Which was why that Savvy found herself happier than she had been in quite a long time.On a particularly nice day, Savvy ventured out to her safe place.
The weather was just beginning to turn, and a slight breeze was in the air. A few stray leaves had already fallen, and let out a satisfying "crunch" when she stepped on them. When she made it to her favorite willow tree down my the lake, she was smiling. Students were scattered about, and quite a few were partaking in Savvy's favorite hobby of rock skipping. For a while, she skipped a few, but eventually stood back up to watch a couple of first years, pointing their wands at the ground. Probably tormenting some poor bug. She should go over and tell them to go away, she thought.
Unfortunately, this thought was cut short by the squeezing of her sides. Startled, she was about to let out a string of barely coherent curse words when she heard that overly smug voice. “Well, well, well look who have here, Savvy Ridan in the flesh, what brings you out on this glorious day at Hogwarts?” He walked in front of her, with that damn smirk she wanted to knock off his face so badly. here comes trouble, she thought. "Hello, Scorpius. I was just enjoying the lovely weather, what brings you out here? I mean, besides scaring the crap out of innocent bystanders?" She asked, and though the question was meant to be slightly accusing, a small smile crept onto her lips anyways.

There was something, something that Scorpius couldn't explain, that kept him wanting more. More time, more closeness, more of a- well, that r word with the girl standing in front of him. His insides seemed to burn from the insie out ushering him to make his next move but he never could. Savvy wasn't like all the other girls, she wasn't one to just jump into his arms like the others like he was use to so it made him a bit- unsure. If you could even believe that a Malfoy could be unsure on how to approach a female. He hid it well though and acted like he was only trying to mess with her for amusement, and for the most part it worked, except for times like this when all he wanted to do was pull her into him and lip lock with her.
Shaking his head tried to keep his mind straight, but it was getting harder and harder to do every time he was anywhere near this girl. Alright, so now what? He would play it as cool as he could in hopes that no one picked up on how uneasy he was feeling.
"Hello, Scorpius. I was just enjoying the lovely weather, what brings you out here? I mean, besides scaring the crap out of innocent bystanders?" the girl spoke in return to him. He watched her smooth, soft lips move and barely heard the words being spoken. He wanted those lush lips. He wanted to feel them upon his own. Wanted to...no. No he didn't want none of that.
He laughed slightly, baring his insides before they seemed to poor right out of him. "Innocent?" he now snickered even more acting fully normal and unbothered by her presence. "You can try to hide it Savvy, but I see underneath that facade, he said calmly as he neared her, only stopping inches from her. He leaned in then toward her face. "Because I hardly believe you are innocent my dear, and I can prove that you are not, would you like me to?" he said as he whispered into her ear.
Pulling back he looked at her intently, trying to see any sign that his closeness had affected her. He hoped, prayed, and wished that it did. Secretly. Oh how his father would kill him, but then again he loved making his father angry, that hypocritical bastard. If Draco wasn't his father he would have hated him as much as everyone else; however, Draco's blood flowed through his veins and he could not justify doing that. Draco was a Malfoy. And a Malfoy was a Malfoy no matter what. That was just how it worked.

He was so surreal, to her. Everything about him should have made her furious. He had everything in the world, and yet he was never satisfied. He chased girls around until he had them, and then he was done. Never anything more. She knew this, and yet she felt drawn to him. It made her sick to her stomach, and a violent wave of nerves flooded through her every time he came near. He made her nervous. Most people did, she tried to justify. But it wasn't the same. Something about him made her crazy, made her want him. However, she knew than a boy like him wanted nothing more than sex from a girl like her. She had nothing to offer. The laws prohibited them from being anything at all, and if she had to guess, she'd say that so did his family. He was a Malfoy, and she was the half bred child that was too often considered a mistake. She shouldn't have wanted him.
And yet, she did.
He laughed, a sound that made her heart swell, and it felt much too large in her chest. "Innocent?" She nodded, with a small smile. Yes, she was innocent, in every possible way. "You can try to hide it Savvy, but I see underneath that facade." She raised an eyebrow as he neared. She tried her hardest not to look afraid, but a blush crept to her cheeks anyways. Whispering, he spoke "Because I hardly believe you are innocent my dear, and I can prove that you are not, would you like me to?" He was much too close. Much, much too close, and she couldn't think straight.
Like a deer, she spooked when anyone came too close, too fast. She needed space, a chance to run if she needed too. But there was no running, there. Scorpius had come too close, too fast, and she was frozen. The best she could do was take a baby step back, and make a pathetic attempt to look composed. Luckily, he also stepped away from her, the smug bastard. Now with some space separating them, she began to relax. The shell shocked expression she had faded into an amused one. She gave a small laugh, and smiled at him in her best convincing manner. "No, that won't be necessary- and no, you can not insist." Another small laugh, and she began to think that maybe she could handle talking to him.
Why was he even bothering with her? That's right, she thought, the chase. It made her sad, because beneath all of his she could easily see that he was a good person. Just like it always did, hope filled her heart. Maybe, just this once, luck would pull in her favor. Maybe it wasn't just the chase. Maybe she wasn't just another girl for him to add to his list. Maybe, maybe maybe. Maybe's never worked out in her favor. But she still couldn't help but to hope. Reminding herself of all the reasons they would never be together was pointless, she would just end up with a bunch of maybe's.
She looked at him with that doe-eyed expression she had, and decided to be blunt for once. Tilting her head slightly, she had to ask. "Why? There are at least a hundred girls out here," She paused only long enough to gesture to the grounds, "Who would fall all over themselves just to talk to you. Why me?" As soon as the words came out of her mouth, she wished she hadn't said them. There wasn't a right answer to that question. Yet, she couldn't stop herself from continuing. If she had ruined whatever microscopic shot she had with Scorpius, then so be it. "And don't say you like a challenge, for Merlin's sake." The last part came out with a tone of warning, and a slightly irritated smile.

Earlier that day Scorpius wasn't sure what it was he had been looking for but he subconsciously felt that he had known it all along. Her. He had been looking for her, why else would he go to the grounds were every normal Hufflepuff would be spending the nice day? He didn't know what it was with her, but it seemed whatever it was it took over all his senses...and his brain. Oh would his father freak. He knew he should stay away from her. But, he couldn't. Even knowing the restrictions put in place by the Ministry he couldn't pull himself away from her.
No. This couldn't happen. He couldn't have feelings for Savvy. But even as that thought crossed his mind his heart seemed to jump right up into his throat. Was it possible? Could Scorpius Malfoy finally met a girl who he cared about?
He had to stop thinking.
Right Now.
But- as he tried it didn't work, the thoughts just got way worse until he felt nauseated.
Scorp finally pulled himself out of his thoughts just in time to see the girls cheeks red as he got closer and closer to her. His hand involuntarily reached up and brushed lightly across her cheek. It was absolutely adorable the way she blushed whenever she was near him.
He faltered though as the girl spoke and questioned him. Why her? That a question he had been trying to answer himself, and honestly he wasn't sure. Maybe it was because she didn't chase him, maybe it was that she wasn't willing to jump at him. All the girls usually did, just to say that had Scorpius in bed, on a couch, in the forest...it was all just about them having something to gossip about or hang over the other girls heads.
He took a step back almost tripping over his own two feet. He looked around, oblivious to the all the stares they were getting from the other girls. Apparently they were curious too. Looking back at her he shrugged, caught in the spot light and not shining. Trying to regain his composure he tried to pull of his arrogant grin but he could tell that he was failing. He didn't want to be that arrogant guy, not with her.
Sighing once more he ran his right hand through his hair messing up. Damn this girl. No one got to him like she did. "Why not you? he asked her.
He knew that wasn't the way to answer the girl, it wasn't even an answer it was throwing the questions back at her. Oh he was in trouble and was getting in too deep, deeper then he had ever been with any other girl. Rubbing his face with his hands he took in a deep breath. "I mean, I don't really know," he said waving toward the other girls passively, "Those girls? they just aren't you, you do something to me Savvy Amelina Ridan, something that no one else has ever done," he said in an almost whisper.
There he had said it. The truth, or basically the truth. It was the best he could explain what it was going on inside of him because he wasn't exactly sure what it was. He was a real mess around her and wasn't going to keep pretending he wasn't. She wasn't one of those girls who would throw themselves at him and wasn't one who would be okay with no answer at all. This was real not a game, so he was determined to be as real as he could with this girl.
Taking a step forward now closing the gap between them again he put her face between his hands. "I've never done it like this," he muttered as he brought his lips to hers and kissed her, he could feel his heart picking up pace and he hoped, just hoped, that she would accept the kiss.

For so long she had been trying to convince herself that she didn't care, and that Scorp didn't affect her. He was just another Slytherin boy who noticed she wasn't as awkward as she'd once been. Just another boy. But he wasn't. Everything about him was so demanding- like he almost dared girls not to wan him. He knew just as well as anybody else that resistance was futile. Just like all the other girls, Savvy began to see what everyone else saw. Except, it wasn't what everyone else saw. The short time she had known him showed her what everyone else missed, or chose to ignore. He was undeniable, and Savvy was pretty good at denying.
Her blush was her worst enemy. No matter how hard she was trying to keep composed, all it took was a little bit of red creep up on her pale features. There was no hiding it, and Scorpius was sure to exploit it. Sure enough, his hand touched the burning skin of her cheek, almost like he didn't even know he was doing it. His touch sent another wave of fire through her skin, and she felt like she'd been electrocuted. Everything was too loud, and not loud enough. He made her stupid- it was the only logical explanation. When she was around him, she forgot how to behave like a normal human being. If possible, she became a less-sure version of herself.
Apparently, he hadn't known what he was doing, because when he caught a glance at his hand on her skin, he shot back like she had the plague. She tried to pretend like that didn't hurt. Actually, she did a pretty good job of not looking offended, because she was still so red. He looked around, finally noticing the clumps of girls that had gathered to gawk at Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy, and that Hufflepuff girl. When he looked back at her, he tried to look like it didn't bother him. He tried to put on that arrogant smile of his , but failed miserable. 'It's okay,' she wanted to tell him, 'I would't want to be seen with me either.'
He raked his hand through his hair, and she got the sudden urge to touch it as well. No, Sav, she reminded herself, it's not polite to touch others. "Why not you?" She raised an eyebrow. She could give him a million reasons why not her, but that wasn't why she'd asked. For the life of her, she couldn't think of a reason that anyone would want to be around her, let alone Scorpius. Apparently, though, he could. "I mean, I don't really know, those girls? they just aren't you, you do something to me Savvy Amelina Ridan, something that no one else has ever done."
To say her heart stuttered would be an understatement. For a second there, she actually thought it was going to explode. He knew her name. He had spent more than two seconds around her, and not disregarded her. If anything, he was saying he wanted to spend time with her. She couldn't believe it, and most certainly didn't understand it. Yet, she thought herself too selfish to tell him to run for the hills. Maybe for once in her life, she could stop saying maybe.
And then he kissed her. This time, she was sure her heart was going to explode. So many thoughts entered her head all at once- all of the reasons they would never work, logic telling her he probably didn't mean it, and oh my god Scorpius was kissing her. The latter was the most predominant thought. The only ever time Sav had been kissed was when she was eight, and her neighbor had kissed her cheek after pulling her hair every day for six weeks. He moved the next day. Boys are stupid.
The kiss was a little uncertain at first, like he didn't think she would kiss back. Granted, she didn't at first. She was so startled, stunned into place. Of course, her damn face was siren red. Once she bean thinking coherently, though, she kissed back with all she had, wrapping her arms around his neck. After a while, she broke away from his face, but left her arms where they had been. She couldn't help but smile, though she looked slightly uncertain. There would always be a part of her that was unsure of herself. But now, it was different. There could be an aspect of her life that the word 'maybe' had nothing to do with. He was real.
She grinned like an idiot, and her face still mildly held a blush. "I think that's a pretty good answer," she said and brushed her lips against his once more. A damn good answer, indeed.
[GAH. THEY ARE SO CUTE. So, i figured we should wrap up this thread. If you want to post once more, or just leave it like this, either way is fine. <333]
