Her fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy had only just begun, it being September still, and Sadie already found herself overloaded with studdies. At the end of every student's fifth year, they had to write a different kind of exams know as the Ordinary Wizarding Levels, or O.W.L.s for short. These exams were either practical, written or both since certain subjects had more than one exam in its own. Usually, students would start studying in their fourth year! All to be ready for the end of the following year! Sadie had seen many people start studying last year and had though to herself that they were completely insane for starting a whole year in advance. But it turned out to not have been such a horrible idea now. Sadie took one look at the list of things she would have to know for the end of the year and started to panic. There was no way that she was going to remember everything on that list, she knew that for sure. She knew that she had the Charms section covered, although she won't let that stop her from studying for it, but there were O.W.L.s for everything else! Herbology, Transfiguration, Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Divination, Astronomy, History of Magic... Sadie just counted herself lucky that she hadn't taken Ancient Runes cause that would have been a whole different head ache. Sadie sat in the Hufflepuff Common Room on one of the large yellow sofas, almost entirely covered in rolls of parchment and books. She had a few quills stuck into her hair out of habit, some she had forgotten had ink on them and was getting on her clothes. Of course, she had a plain Muggle pen that she would chew on the end off, it was one of her other quirks. Right now, she was reading up and taking notes on the Goblin riots of the eighteenth century for History of Magic and she gave an irritated sigh. Goblins rebelling weren't interesting to her at all but she really had to know as much as she could. with the look in your eyes |
