OVERALL: affectionate. victoire is rather affectionate. she likes to show affection to her friends and family. she tends to hug people a lot. she doesn't randomly go up to a person and hug them. she reserves such affections for her friends and family, however, once she deems you her friend, you are subject to her hugs and random little presents of baked goodies. calm before the storm. generally, victoire is a pretty calm person but, she does have a rather short temper. she doesn't go crazy, off-the-wall angry but, it doesn't take incredibly long to get her pissy. it's sort of funny actually. some find it a sport to tick her off purposefully. victoire generally keeps herself under control these days though. as quick as her temper generates, it dissipates. vic does not hold grudges. she can't. she feels too guilty about staying mad at someone for longer than a day, three days max. she is the one that apologizes first, even if the situation isn't her fault to begin with. cheerful on the flip side to her short temper, victoire is normally a rather cheerful, optimistic person. every day is a new day for her. she tends to forget anything bad that happened the day before (or try to) and just live the day as a new new one. like a fresh start of sorts. it's very rare to see her in sour moods. when you do, then you know something is really wrong with her. compassionate victoire is rather compassionate toward others. she believes in human nature (the good half). she thinks that everyone has some sense of good in them, even in the most terrible of people. it's all just a matter of shutting up and listening to it. due to this trait, victoire often tends to trust others too quickly. more often than not, it gets her hurt in the end. she very often likes to help out those who don't have a lot. although she might not have any extra money to give, she likes to give away her things that she no longer needs. usually, it's clothes - because she had more than is really just necessary for one person. it gives her a good feeling to be able to help someone in that way. dependable. victoire always tries to be dependable. she likes to be there for all her friends and family. she likes them to know that she'll always be there, rain or shine, through thick and thin. perhaps this is why she tends to be affectionate toward them. vic just wants them to know that no matter what they need, she's there for them. she would do just about almost anything for them. For several years, she was the center of her parents' love and attention, including some other family members. This attention from others dwindled as more children were born into the family. for a good seven years (give or take a few) victoire had her parents to herself. it was nice, being an only child. she got all their attention, love, and all that. it was great. then, when she was seven, bill knocked up fleur again. victoire wasn't sure how to take such news when they told her she would be getting a brother or sister. they both explained to her it was great having younger siblings, as they both did. victoire, however, was worried. all young children are. she was afraid she was going to be loved less because everyone loves new babies. slowly, victoire began liking the idea and eventually accepted it so much so to the point that she couldn't wait until the day the baby was born. victoire was rather happy to have a baby sister, when dominique was born. she was always with her every minute of the day. victoire wanted to be in on the new baby action, even changing those gross diapers. there were times, however, when victoire did feel a tad bit jealous of her sister. it worsened a year later when louis came into the family. between a new baby and a one year old, victoire got less attention from her mother because she was able to care for herself more than the other too. this situation probably sparked her strong independence. vic ended up going off and playing on her own - or with ted. which ever was more convenient. the jealously she felt toward her siblings was nothing compared to the jealously she felt toward ted when he got his acceptance letter to hogwarts. although it did happen at his birthday party, and it really wasn't something that could be controlled but, it happened. she couldn't help but be slightly jealous. all she had been asking about for the past year was hogwarts and when it would be her turn to go. luckily she only had to live one year in jealous agony before it was her turn to go. it was a wonderful experience finally getting to go to diagon alley to buy her wand, school supplies, and robes. she had been to the alley before, and longed to be fitted for the black robes of hogwarts but, it was never her turn, until it finally was. victoire was sorted in ravenclaw. this was sort of unexpected. everyone in her family figured she would be a gryffindor, like every other weasley but, she wasn't. it made no difference to them and victoire did not mind either rather quickly, her house became home for her. her housemates became her family. (and eventually there were actual family members in that house with her) it took her little time for her to settle in and make friends. the first four years at hogwarts remained rather uneventful. it was really wasn't until she was fifteen, entering her fifth year that life sort of changed for her. victoire had entered puberty, and the small portion of veela in her genes only made her blossoming more...bright, for lack of a better word. it happened rather quickly, to say the least. and it wasn't until her fifth year that she joined the giggly group of girls who oggled over the older, cute boys. it was a bit easier for her to gain the attention of such boys by her natural beauty but, victoire found those boys to be not what she wanted. the time neared for her to take her o.w.l.s and well, she more or less started freaking out about them. she had no idea what to expect, felt entirely unprepared, and had no idea where to begin. what was there for her to do but, go to someone who had just taken them? that was exactly what she did. victoire went to her dear friend ted, and asked him for help. ted helped ease her nerves, and helped her study too. at christmas time, ted had gone out of the way and bought her a present. when he gave it to her, victoire had no idea what to say...or how to thank him. in the end, she ended up just kissing him full, right on the lips. vic was rather embarrassed about the kiss, and without having any real reason behind it (that she knew of) the rest of that year was full of awkwardness. victoire more or less avoided him as much as she could, hoping he wouldn't notice such attempts. it wasn't until the train ride home that year that she was forced to say more than two words to him. what happened in that compartment they both agreed to keep as a secret between the two of them. however, their agreement did not last. after a summer spent together (strictly as "friends" but, there were moments of tension and all that), the two ended up snogging each other on the train back to hogwarts. the two dated for much of vic's sixth year. the two broke things off, on a bit of an immature and sour note that summer. victoire stopped speaking to ted after that. victoire's seventh year was a bit difficult for her. mostly, now that it was out about her break up with ted, who was not gone from hogwarts. of course, the whole situation was twisted into something ridiculous. victoire was able to deal with it and live through her seventh year to take her n.e.w.t.s vic scored exceedingly well in charms and transfiguration. upon her own graduation, victoire had no idea what she could do with her skills. although her mother practically begged her not to, victoire went off for auror training under the eye of her uncles after graduation. victoire did extremely well in training and advanced just a hare faster than most. then, it came. the change. everything changed. the entire world changed. the minister became minister, and things were fine. then, one day, not so fine. laws were created, forcing everyone into a way of life that separated family and friends. everyone has their own section of the UK. her family was forced to leave their beloved shell cottage and move to scotland. victoire, having been sorted into ravenclaw and her entire family being gryffindors, was forced to separate from them. victoire was forced to leave shell cottage as well, and move to wales. she hates this part. she hates being separated from her family by such a distance. she hates that she can't really be with them. victoire was suppose to get a new job. one that was not in the ministry but as a professor, or in gringots back. telling no one, not even her family, victoire went to minister leblanc, and using her special veela charms (which are not really strong but, slightly there), and her own power of persuasion, was able to miraculously convince the minister she was on his side, that she believed everyone deserved to be separate and all that jazz. with enough flirting and convince, the minister let her remain was an auror. secretly, victoire is looking for ways to turn things around and figure out just what happened and where things when wrong. she hasn't told anyone this. none of her friends or family. technically she was not suppose to speak to them but, she does risk a letter every so often just to tell them she is okay.
