STRENGTHS: snogging - quidditch flying manuvers - leadership skills - potions - not studying for school - being a nice guy - friendly - caring - loving WEAKNESSES: cannot walk away from a fight - pretty girls - quidditch related things - food - wears his heart on his sleeve too often - does not always think things through GOALS: graduate from hogwarts - do something about this crazy minister - get the laws changed - do something with his life, like quidditch or something DEMENTOR: the day the new laws went into effect. seeing so many families forced to leave their homes and move somewhere else, or forced to find other jobs. worst of all is knowing families, his family, are broken apart because of it. BOGGART: james is afraid to see any member of his family dead, especially his father. PATRONUS: orca whale - christams, specifically christmas day spend at grandmum and granddad weasley's house, the burrow. the thought of his entire family together on something as awesome as christmass is the best thing in the world, not to mention all that food. OVERALL: ACCEPTING james was taught to be very accepting toward all sorts of people. he does his best not to discriminate against others, and tries to make friends from all over no matter where they are from, financial status and all other factors. he has learned that all that stuff does not matter and what matters is what is in the heart of a person - if they have one. james, however, does not accept those that are rude/mean toward him and often times he gives it right back. the boy does not know how to walk away from a fight. he might not start one but, he'll finish one. AFFECTIONATE to his friends and family, james is actually a pretty affectionate kid. he loves to give out hugs, and snogging is a really fun sport next to quidditch. this does not mean he is mr. sharing and caring feelings 24/7. you might as well shoot him if he starts that. ugh, no way. james just likes to let his friends know, without words, that he is around for them if he is ever needed. as for girls, well, he just likes to live up that crazy little rumour going around about how fantastic of a kisser he is. ABITIOUS james has plans for himself. goals he intends on reaching. he has reached a few so far in his hogwarts days. he made the gyrffindor quidditch team as early as he was allowed to. and, just recently became team captain. he wants to reach his own level of greatness, make a name for himself and such. plus, he really thinks it would be nice to be more than just the son of the ever so famours harry potter. he really dislikes being compared to his father, which is why he has made sure they are nothing alike to the best of his ability. james does whatever he can to reach his goals with determination and never giving up on them or himself. CANDID james pretty much just lays it all out there. he has no brain to mouth filter, which typically can get him into trouble, something that he is usually in. james really holds nothing much back. he finds it is really pointless to try and keep secrets around hogwarts. everyone knows everyone else's business pretty much, so he does not bother keeping anyone. CHEERFUL har har har. all day every day. james is nearly always in a good mood. there isn't much that can put him in a bad mood. losing a quidditch match is probably the only thing that can, or a bad break up. but, luckily he hasn't experienced more than one of those. being in a good mood makes the days better for him, and it is more important now than ever to remain that way. COURAGEOUS james has a lot of blind courage. he is a bit egotistical, which allows for him to do stupid, stupid things other people dare him to do. he can't help himself, half the time he doesn't even notice his dumb decisions until it is too late. he will do anything for everyone, ignore all sorts of dangers and risk, whatever that may be. while this could be seen as a virtue, it is also a fault. FRIENDLY james is a pretty friendly kid. he could care less about these damned laws. he talks to everyone and anyone willing to talk to him. he likes to be sarcastic quite a lot, and if he his poking fun at you in a friendly way, that just means he likes you. actually, he likes everyone. he likes people and having friends from any household, and from anywhere. it makes no different to him. he loves to be surrounded by people MISCHEIVOUS he is a weasley. the weasley genes dominate the potter genes, and there are some potter genes when combined with the weasley genes, this boy is just trouble both with girls, and all things prankster/jokester related. he likes to play jokes, tests out www products (and secretly gets paid for it by his uncle), and other things teenage wizarding boys do. SELF-CONFIDENT james is a very confident, outgoing boy. he just isn't afraid of much. since he is so candid, friendly, and generally puts himself out there. he does not worry too much over rejection. sure, it sucks but, he actually gets over it quite quickly and moves on. he just puts himself and everything out there. THOUGHTLESS sometimes james forget to think things through before he does them. he will typically forgot to consider what other people may think about it, or consequences. he also tends to forget that other people have feelings too, and might accidently hurt someone without really meaning too. On the other end of the spectrum, he does not need to think twice about doing something for someone, he will just do it. TRUSTWORTHY on top of everything, james likes to think of himself as being trustworthy. he doesn't hold back much about himself, but if any of his friends tell him something in cofidence, he'll keep it there. he is not a blabber mouth, although he is a bit loud and obnoxious, he does not tell everyone everbody's business. FATHER: harry james potter, gryffindor MOTHER: ginny molly weasley, gryffindor SIBLINGS: albus severus potter, slyterhin & lily luna potter, gryffindor OTHER: weaslyes, theodore lupin HOMETOWN(S): godric's hollow OVERALL HISTORY: EARLY CHILDHOOD james sirius was the first of two sons born to harry and ginny potter. the names he received have proved the be quite fitting. if james potter (sr) and sirius black were still alive and around, they would be really proud of james, and probably laugh about how he has turned out. james likes to think that his great-uncle and grandfather would be proud of him. he had quite a lot of fun growing up with his cousins and younger siblings. he created a close bond with this god-brother, as he was extensively included into the family. ted lupi was something james learned to live up to, and often envied slightly for not having parents around telling him what to do 24/7. his own immediately family expanded to five with the addition of albus and lily. james never really remembered not having his siblings around, as the three are close together in age. they have always been in his life, and frankly, james would not have it any other way. he is a tad bit over protective of both albus and lily. from his childhood, james can recount tons of family gatherings and holidays that he remembers and hopes never to forget. he loves the fact that he has so many cousins and such a big family. it is almost enough to make him want a large family himself, however, the idea of him taking care of another human being is preposterous. for one, he is only seventeen, and for two, he can hardly take care of himself. now that he is older, he is realising he is not always going to have his parents there to take care of him, and that he should probably act a little more mature more often but, where is the fun in that? a year before james was eligible to go to hogwarts, the minister of magic made history but, not for the better. at the time, james was a tad too young to completely understand but, he knew what was happening was not entirely a good thing. his family was slightly broken up, and he saw many other families removed for their homes, and members of other families taken away. it was horrible to see happen, and it was hard for a ten year old to completely grasp. it was not until he was older, in hogwarts, that his realized this whole business is impossible, disrespectful, and completely wrong. he has made a personal goal to get the minister thrown out of office, and make sure someone gets the laws overturned. he is definitely feeing a bit rebellious. in the meantime, he had some interesting magical experiences. no one doubted that james would be a wizard. how could the son of harry and ginny potter not be?! he showed signs of magic around age eight. it was christmas day, and the entire family was at the burrow, as usual. james was beginning ted and his older cousin victoire to show him some magic but, it was against the law for them to do so. somewhere along the line, something happened and james ended up on the roof without trying. that was interesting trying to get down. james wanted to jump but, his mother rather sternly told him no. HOGWARTS arriving at hogwarts for his first year, james was sorted into gyrffindor - no surprise there. james was, and still is, excessively proud of being a gryffindor. he feels like he is upholding some family tradition, seeing as both his parents were in gryffindor, and their parents were gryffindors, and all his mother's siblings were gryffindors. he just comes from a whole line of gryffindors. even if he had been placed in another house, he knew that it really did not matter in the end. well, except now, it does matter because of the laws. during his first year, james had a jolly good time. he got several detentions for getting "lost" when he should have been in class. he was really more interested in exploring the castle than actually learning any magic. it only lasted for his first year because after receiving five howlers from his mother, well, that was enough to get him back to classes and pay attention in his following years. the rest of his years at hogwarts have been oddly uneventful. sure, he filled in his time by snagging a spot on the quidditch team, and snagging the captain spot last year. in his third year, girls became interesting and impossible creatures. he flirted with all he could, trying various lines, not that all of them worked. some did, which got him a few days, and a couple of girlfriends. recently, as in this past summer holiday, the girl james was seeing, broke up with him. it really hurt him because he really liked her but, somewhere along the line, she disconnected from him. she wanted more from him, and he was afraid so, in the end instead of waiting patiently for him to be ready, she broke up with him to go off and snog every teenage boy she came across all summer, or so james heard. it actually really crushed him but, this year, his seventh year, he is going to try and put that behind him.
