Home sweet home! The thought consistently repeated through Mandy LeBlanc’s mind as she shuffled her way towards her home, her grand home. While making her way closer to her destination, all the problems began advancing on her in the mere flash of the moment; too many bags, her heels where too high, too long of a journey from the entrance gate to the front door. With every step she took it was a step closer to a warm, marvellous house. A house that belonged to none other than Mandy LeBlanc and her family. This home she had designed from scratch, it was a masterpiece, truly. It was her greatest accomplishment. Originally the house had been designed for the Minister of Magic, but Mandy had other ideas, she had put too much dedication and devotion to just hand it over to someone who was barely going to be occupying the house.
“Oh for fuck sake!” The woman groaned in distress. The attempt to push the handle of the main door was an utter catastrophe, there was just too many bags being held that opening the door was merely impossible. Turning her frame to the side, she pressed her elbow down, with much force and the door opened. “Oh thank Merlin,” Her muffles where barely heard while the bags piled up, covering her mouth and almost depriving her of her sight.
“Hello? Anyone home?”
Calling out, Mandy couldn’t support herself no longer and threw the many bags onto the floor, creating quite the racket. Leaning against the wall, her chest heaved at a steady pace, “Next time I’ll be taking an assistant,” She told herself out loud. Snapping her fingers, she pointed to the bags and ordered the houself’s to bring her belongings up to the master bedroom, and make sure they sorted them out correctly. She needed to cut down on the shopping or else she’d need a second wardrobe, but Mandy couldn’t find no negative points just yet.
Pushing a piece of her loose, silky, brunette hair behind her ear, Mandy wandered into the main room and collapsed onto the couch. Finally, time to relax, some silence, some peace. Peace never lasted forever, that was the sad part. Licking her lips, she trailed her eyes down to her nails, examining each one by one. She wasn’t interested, simply bored. Bored enough to have a snooze. Smiling at her own thoughts, Mandy’s eyes slipped closed, finding the darkness once again. Sighing, she could easily have dozed of now if she felt like it. Well this was just lovely for Kelsey. The past week had been a living hell for her. First, she was raped by her own professor, then she finds out that she is a bloody horcrux for Bellatrix Lestrange! It is certain that this girl's life is anything but ordinary. To save her from the utter task of going to classes, Kelsey's father had told her she could go home for a day to clear her head and rest. It was exactly what Kelsey needed. Kelsey had spent the entire day in her bed, just sleeping and crying when needed. She couldn't of asked for a better day.
Kelsey laid in her bed, reading a book, soaking up the peace. She knew she would have to go back to Hogwarts at the end of the day so she took every moment of peace she could get. Kelsey's father had informed her that her mother would be out for the day, much to Kelsey's approval. See, Kelsey and her mother, well they hated each other. Kelsey's mother was the one person she wanted to just disappear from her life. Ever since she had gotten into Ravenclaw and not Slytherin, Mandy had been a complete bitch to Kelsey. They used to be very close when Kelsey was little, but now was different. Kelsey couldn't stand the thought of her mother. The two women couldn't even be in the same room as each other for too long before they were at each others throats.
Kelsey heard muffled noises coming from downstairs that she assumed to be her father's. Kelsey was not ready to leave. Getting up, Kelsey exited her room and made her way downstairs. She would protest that her father let her stay a little bit longer. Kelsey just wanted to lay in bed forever without having to do any work or face the other students in the school. She needed her time to think.
"Daddy I don't want to go back to school just -," Kelsey said and paused as she turned the corner to see her mother sitting on the couch. Great, this was just what Kelsey wanted, more drama in her already messed up life. Kelsey had managed to avoid her mother most of the Christmas vacation, to her delight. The last time she remembered seeing her was at Christmas supper, before she left to go see James. Now it was February and Kelsey really didn't want to start the month off with more of her mother's drama.
"Oh, its you. I thought you would be out blowing your money on useless things again," Kelsey stated to her mother in a cold, distant tone. If Mandy was nicer to Kelsey, she would be nicer back. However, with her years of experience with this woman, Kelsey knew that her mother would never love her like she wanted to be loved. Kelsey needed a mother to help her through this, but she doubted Mandy would ever like her again.

It was a nice change, to have the house to herself, no wild and uncontrollable children running about. Despite their age you’d half expect them to be mature and capable of maintaining the slightest bit of self control, but asking for self-control from her children was like asking for rain to pour in a drought. Okay, so maybe she was underestimating them slightly, Mandy just couldn’t accept the vital fact that her three, beautiful children had grown up and didn’t need her anymore, she couldn’t be there to stop them from falling, she couldn’t be there to kiss away the pain, and worst of all, she knew that they didn’t need her. She might not show it as often as she’d like to, but her children where the only reason she tried in life, the only reason she awoke in the mornings, the only reason she was who she was today.
Now, Mandy didn’t have a problem feeling love, showing it was the problem. Showing it to one child in particular. Kelsey, her only daughter, the one child she was supposed to be closest to, made life hard for Mandy. There was a time Mandy wouldn’t let Kelsey out of her sight, when she used to read her bedtime stories, bring her everywhere she went. Things changed though, especially as the years passed. She didn’t hold a grudge against her daughter for being misplaced in Ravenclaw, she blamed the sorting hat, she came to the conclusion where the hat was getting too old for its own good. Kelsey had changed though, she wasn’t the daughter that she had once been devoted to, she was different.
Mandy still loves her daughter, unconditionally, but lately, the actions caused by impulse had not proven to be wise. Imagine, a sixteen year old running off to marry a Potter! What has the world come to? Mandy hadn’t given much attempt into trying to converse with her daughter, seeing no real need to, and it wasn’t like Kelsey had interest in talking to her mother anyway.
On the verge of falling unconscious, a voice brought her back to reality. Fluttering her eyes open, Mandy adjusted to her surroundings immediately and her eyes instantly averted towards her daughter, who spoke to her in a cold and distant tone. “Yes, blowing my money on my things. Your opinion means very little to me Kelsey.” Her tone was dripping with venom. If she wasn’t going to make an effort then there was no way in hell that she was going to try.
“What the hell has you home anyway? Is your father home?” Mandy asked arching a thin eyebrow, her eyes burning with curiosity. The only reason that Kelsey would be wondering around would only be if Robert had called in, but then, all of her children would be joining them on the visit. Scanning the room with her hone coloured eyes, she examined for any evidence that Robert had been home, but no evidence was found. WORDS ?! 610 TAG ?! kelsey leblanc NOTES ?! If there was one woman that could make Kelsey want to pull her own eyeballs out with a fork it was her mother. Kelsey didn't know how she and her mother grew so much hatred for each other. Kelsey had just changed into a different person. She wasn't the small little helpless girl she once was. Now she was an older version of that small girl, only with more messed up problems and no monsters under her bed. Kelsey craved to go back to those days of her childhood when she was most happy. However, those days were in the past, and nothing but a distant memory.
Kelsey rolled her eyes as her mother retorted back. Though she didn't show it, her mother's words had a huge effect on her at times. Sometimes, when her mother would shout at her and call her down, Kelsey would go to her room and cry. Kelsey hated crying with a passion since she had been doing a lot of it lately. She just wanted to be happy. She wanted to have a normal life. But then again, Kelsey was never normal.
"Dad is not home. I've been having some... erm troubles at school and he said I could come home for the day to get away from everyone and relax. He thought you would be out all day so he didn't bother to stay. Don't worry, he will soon be here to pick me up. You won't have to put up with me for much longer," Kelsey said looked at her mother, then to the ground. Her father must not have told her mother about the rape. Though she knew that it would not have an effect on her mother at all. Hell, Kelsey thought that her mother would probably be glad that someone raped her. Some way of teaching her a lesson.
Kelsey walked over to the chair and sat down. Now that she was downstairs there was no point in going back up. Her father would probably be here soon. Still having her book in her hand, Kelsey began to read it, not caring that she was sharing the same room as her mother. Kelsey desperately wanted to tell her mother what had happened to her and just hug her and have her say that everything was going to be alright. Kelsey knew that would never happen. Kelsey looked down at her neck to see if her bruises were still covered. She had mastered putting cover up on her neck and face to hide her rape marks. Luckily, they were still covered. Smiling, Kelsey looked back up at the book and began to read again.
This book, that she had to order, was all about horcruxs and their abilities. Kelsey had recently learned that she was a horcrux from her father. She was determined to find a way to get the thing out of her without dying. This was about the seventh book she had read but still had no luck finding anything to help her. She may be stuck with it for the rest of her life.

Here is another one of Robert's brilliant plans gone wrong. He had been pretty sure Mandy wouldn't have been home so, he took Kelsey there. Robert felt a day away from all the Hogwarts chaos would do her good. So, as her father, he took her out of school for a day. He took to their home personally, and left her there, taking a day himself. He spent the day with Mackenzie. Robert had no problem getting her to call in sick at work, and be with him for a few hours longer than they usually got together.
Robert still had yet to tell his wife about what happened to Kelsey. He wondered if the opportunity came if Kelsey would do it herself. He doubted that. Although his relationship with Kelsey wasn't the greatest, he knew Mandy's relationship with their daughter was ten times worse. Standing outside their house, after just After cleaning himself up at Kenzie's and removing any sort of evidence that he was with her at all, Robert Apparated himself back into his very own home. He ended up in the exact room Kelsey and Many were in. Robert popped in, facing Kelsey. He could practically feel the hatred toward Mandy radiating through his body.
Robert turned around to find Mandy. Well, if this just wasn't an awkward family moment? He knew he was completely thorough with removing any incriminating evidence that he had been with Mackenzie so, Robert hoped for dear life nothing was suspected of him. For a few seconds, Robert looked like a deer caught in headlights. "Mandy, you're home..." he said, as an awkward gretting. He gave her a slightly smile, "Sorry I didn't let you know...about this. It was a last minute idea." Most of that was a lie, except for the fact that he was actually sorry he hadn't taken the time to write a simple owl to her.
Robert glanced between Kelsey and Mandy. Kelsey was reading a book. He assumed it was about horcruxs. He was still working on contacting Harry Potter about the subject. He was more or less waiting for Kelsey and James to give him the okay. His patience for the young couple was running out. Robert had to guess that the news of the incident with Lestrange had not been told. He planned on telling Mandy if Kelsey didn't. Just like he planned on telling her about Mackenzie...and Shiloh, and all the others. Nah, just Mackenzie. The others didn't matter as much to him. He didn't love them. Anyway, those plans weren't really going anywhere. He would, however, at least explain to Mandy that he had changed. No, he wasn't going to join the Order or something. He simply wasn't going to be a Death Eater anymore, not a loyal one.

Kelsey had a way with her words, she knew exactly what to say to make Mandy’s heart weak. They mightn’t ever see eye to eye and the love was practically invisible in their relationship but Mandy couldn’t catch herself hating her daughter. Hell, she went through nine horrendous months just waiting for the daughter she had always wanted. It was a shame Kelsey happened to turn out the complete opposite of how she expected, Mandy had always hoped that maybe she’d have a miniature version of herself running around, instead she found herself attempting to control a fiery red head (which she had inherited from Mandy’s mother) who had always enjoyed rebelling against her mother’s demands.
“I don’t see why you had to come home. I’m assuming you’ve just sat in your room all day anyway, isn’t your dorm good enough?” Mandy queried curiously, not understanding why Robert had went to the extent to bring their daughter home because she was simply having a ‘rough’ day. If he had the time to bring Kelsey home, then didn’t he have the time to hang around, explain to her what was their daughter was really doing home. Everyone had their bad days but that didn’t mean they stopped doing their everyday things just to have a cry over it.
Keeping her eyes on her daughter, Mandy tried to find some indication, some clue that would scream to her the reason why Kelsey was here…but did she really need an explanation to be in her own home? Chewing on her lower lip, she concentrated as much as she possibly could, and while her daughter flipped the pages of her book, something could Mandy of her guard, “What’s that you’re reading?” She asked calmly, but the hint of curiosity hidden in the back of her voice.
With a ‘pop’ a certain figure blocked her view of Kelsey. Slowly letting her eyes wander up the figure’s legs, stopped to momentarily admire his bottom, then continued raising her eyes until they found the familiar face of her husband. "Mandy, you're home..." Mandy was far from amused, “I’m glad you noticed,” She commented sarcastically and then turned her attention back to Kelsey, “I just want to know why an apology is needed. What is she doing here?” Although her eyes weren’t looking at Robert, the question was directed to him.
Right now, Mandy felt like she was behaving like an evil stepmother of some sort. Did she really need to be this hateful towards Kelsey? Not necessarily, but what you give is what you get, and Kelsey has never made any signal that she wanted to improve their relationship, so she assumed that Kelsey was content with the mutual dislike or hatred they had for each other. Bringing her eyes to meet Robert’s, “Where have you been anyway?” She asked, now completely forgetting about Kelsey. Kelsey could feel her annoyance for her mother grow more and more as she sat there. Her mother pounded her with questions and Kelsey felt like she was going to explode. All she wanted to do was stand up and say that she was bloody raped by a professor and that was why she couldn't stay at the bloody castle. Kelsey would not do that though. She didn't want her mother knowing about any of her business. Kelsey totally ignored her mother as she asked why her dorm wasn't good enough for her. She just wanted to imagine that this woman was not here at the moment. However, as she began to pester Kelsey with more questions on what she was reading, Kelsey just about snapped.
"It is none of your bloody business! Just leave me alone! Why must you poke your nose into everything?" Kelsey snapped in an angry voice as she peered over her book with rage filled eyes. She stared at her mother for a moment before putting her eyes back to her book and reading some more. Suddenly, her father appeared in the room, making Kelsey want to jump with glee. Never had she been more happy to see her father in all of her life. Then, her mother, being a buzz kill, had to throw her comments in, making Kelsey want to kill her.
"I said that it is none of your fucking business why I am here!" Kelsey practically screamed, sitting up more in the chair and squeezing on to the sides. Kelsey really didn't want to retell the whole rape story to her mother. She just wanted to forget about it and pretend it never happened. Her mother nosing into her business was not helping Kelsey lock away her emotions like she wanted to. It was just making her snap and letting out all of her hidden rage on her mother, even if she didn't mean in.
"Come on dad, lets go before she tries to screw my life up even more than it already is," Kelsey said to her father, getting up off the chair. She shot her mother a death glare, wanting her to just disappear. It wasn't that her mother deserved this, it was just that Kelsey had so much hidden rage for the world that she was letting it out on the wrong people.

What is she doing here? Merlin, Mandy made it sound like he had brought home his girlfriend or something. Hm, though that would definitely be interesting. He hadn't been home for more thatn two seconds and he already wanted to go bang his head against a wall. It was clearly evident that Kelsey and Mandy got into it, again, and now he was forced to be in the middle. No wonder why he was such an alcoholic.
Robert spun around and glared at Kelsey but, refrained from yelling at her. After what had happened, he didn't expect her to be all prim and proper. "Kelsey, we talked about this. It is her business, especially when I ... kill that son of a bitch. Some people aren't going to be very happy about that." He turned around, slightly scared to face Mandy, who was now questioning where he had been. Oh, just sleeping with my girlfriend, he thought. Robert didn't really like the term mistress. He considred Mackenzie more like his girlfriend than mistress, although that is what she was.
Before he could answer, Kelsey was up, asking to leave. Robert shot a quick glance at her, praying she wouldn't say a word. They had their night of bonding, and after Kelsey had asked him - he told her, about Mackenzie. Just her, and not anything about Shiloh, and definitely not Adrienne. One was enough to mention. "Kelsey," he muttered, slightly irritated. "Just, go upstairs or something. I'll tell her." Robert looked back at Mandy, the pain returning to his eyes.
Robert didn't want to talk about the rape almost as much as Kelsey. Still, when ever he did get back at Jack for it - and killed him. There would be at least one person out to get him - Bellatrix. He wanted Mandy to be prepared, in case Bellatrix, or even Jack were to show up here. It was quite possible.

There was a thin line between love and hate, and in this family, the line was very, very thin. The majority of the time this family looked as if it was just a bunch of people picked randomly from a crowd and thrown into a house together, being forced to live with one another, no matter how insufferable it became. Although Mandy would never admit this, there had been several occasions when she was on the verge of leaving this life, taking all her possessions with her and leaving all her memories behind. The only thing that kept her here was the unknown love she felt for her children…and maybe Robert, but even their love had changed since their younger days, which was a shame.
As Kelsey first snapped at her, Mandy’s eyes narrowed and her upper lip lifted slightly in displeasure. It was hard to believe that the young girl was her daughter. Pursing her lips, Mandy turned her attention elsewhere and then for a second time, in less than a moment, Kelsey snapped once again. Her words caused Mandy to completely blow. “Kelsey Rachel LeBlanc! Don’t you dare speak to me like that! I am your mother, I put you here so as far as I am concerned, it is my fucking business!” She shrieked at her, become more angrier by the moment with her eldest daughter.
Once Kelsey took the stand, so did Mandy. Now the three all stood, exchanging cold glances. This wasn’t the life she chose, she was promised a life full of happiness when she agreed to marry Robert, if this was happiness she was dreading to know what sadness was. As Robert spoke to Kelsey, Mandy could feel the hairs on the back of her neck stand, what was with all this secrecy? Becoming more agitated with each passing second, so when Robert turned to face Mandy, she gave him a quizzical look, “Tell me,” She demanded, feeling like a nine year old begging to know what her friend had been whispering about.
Turning her attention to Kelsey as Robert demanded that their daughter was to go upstairs while he spoke to her, “Yes, why don’t you be a good girl for once and do what your father says.” Mandy spat, still angered by Kelsey's outburst, if only some light was shed on the situation she’d feel a tad bit better. “So go on, tell me what has happened, you know how much I hate being kept in the dark.” She mumbled to her husband while crossing her arms over her chest and waited for his explanation. The only thing keeping Kelsey from jumping on her mother and killing her was the table that was between them. Kelsey practically shaking with anger as she stood there, wanting her mother to jump in a hole and die. Kelsey had to take deep breaths to stop herself from doing something she would later regret. However, as Mandy snapped back at her, Kelsey could feel the steam flooding from her ears.
"You, my mother? Oh come on you were never a fucking mother to me. You don't give a fuck what happens to me, so why should you know this?" Kelsey screamed, her eyes becoming blurry with tears of anger. Kelsey had came here to get away from all the drama of school and to have a relaxing day. Well her relaxing day was now ruined and all the stress she thought she had loss was not back and causing her to be more tense. Mandy was more of a wicked step mother to Kelsey than an actual mother. An actual mother would not make their child feel like such crap every day.
"No I will not go upstairs! Why don't you stop being such a nosy bitch for once and mind your own business," Kelsey screamed back, her anger swelling up around her. She had never called her mother a bitch to her face before. It was like she was gaining all sorts of confidence now. She really didn't see why Mandy needed to know what had happened to her. Its not like she would do anything.
"I don't see why you want to tell her anyways! She will probably be happy that it happened to me! She won't care because frankly, she doesn't care about me," Kelsey said to her father. Kelsey's eyes pleaded that he didn't tell her what happened. She just wanted to leave before things got ugly.

See? This is why Robert never wanted to be at home. Everytime they were all under the same roof, he wanted to bang his head against a concrete wall repeatedly. Robert put himself in the line of fire, standing between Kelsey and Mandy - closer to Mandy. He had no idea if Kelsey would jump to the table to get at Mandy. He preferred she didn't so, Robert sacrificed himself essentially. It was hard for him not to lash at the two of them. He side glanced at the kitchen, wondering if his old bottle of gin was still there.
Robert winced as Kelsey screamed. He rubbed his ear, afraid that he might lose his hearing before this day was out. His own blood boiled. "Would you two just fucking can it!" he said through gritted teeth. Robert wanted to avoid yelling himself. It would scare the pants off the entire neighborhood.
Robert shook his head at Kesley. If anything, Mandy would lay the blame on him. It was fine, really, as he still blamed himself for what happened. He turned his gaze to Mandy. A feeling of guilt tugged at his heart. He really, really, really, really hoped Kelsey wouldn't bring up his....friends. Robert remained quiet for several moments, trying to find out to put it. "Well, you see..." he started. Trying to find a gentle way to put it was not going to happen. He decided he might as well just say it. "Jack Lestrange raped Kelsey at Hogwarts. I think...it's because of something I did. So, the bastard it testing me or something," he said.
He looked between Mandy and Kelsey, and the floor as he waited for response. Robert prepared himself for physical harm, to himself, a good amount of yelling maybe. He was fully prepared to be blamed - as he stated it was his fault in the end. Robert didn't care if Kelsey blamed herself. Raping a girl because she was late for class was a inexcusable, cruel, punishment.

To the eye, it may not seem that Mandy was as angry as her daughter, but many things deceived the eye. She was fuming! Clearly becoming more and more outraged as her daughter’s voice filled the silence of the room. “And you want to know why I haven’t been a mother to you? I cannot stand this monster you have become Kelsey. You are not the daughter I have raised, and don‘t you dare say I gave up on you, because you gave up on me many years before hand. ” Spitting the words with venom, Mandy glared at Kelsey, her cheeks burning increasingly fast.
As Mandy took a step forward, wanting to lean over the table that was separating the two, Robert took his chance to jump in, blocking Mandy, or blocking Kelsey from Mandy. For once she felt as if she was in Hogwarts again, feeling the need to just rip the head of her sworn enemy. “Bitch? Unless you have realized what you are, you have no right to call anyone else it.” She snapped, her feisty attitude showing more as seconds passed.
Sighing in frustration, Mandy ignored Kelsey words, knowing it was best if she did. Inside, she felt a sharp knife stab her, twisting its way further in as the red head continued to speak. Glaring at Kelsey from the corners of her eyes, she ran a hand over high-waisted skirt, waiting for Robert to quickly spit it out. If he refused once again, then she would leave, no longer wanting to be there.
Several minutes passed, and just when Mandy was on the verge on turning her back to leave, her husband spoke. As the words left his lips, and Mandy finally took her time to register to them, she felt her heart explode. It hurt, it really did. Although Kelsey and Mandy had never been on good terms, Mandy could never wish any harm on her daughter because she really did love her. Feeling a large lump in her throat and feeling her eyes sting, “What the fuck did you do?” She cried, pushing her husband angrily.
Anger pumped through her veins as Robert put part of the blame on him, it was her instinct to be angry at him. Because of his actions their daughter had been raped. “That asshole raped our daughter to get to you? You can’t be fucking serious Robert?” She shouted, now choking on her tears. However as Kelsey was the main topic, it was almost like she wasn’t there. Wiping away her tears she began to pace, holding her hair from her eyes, “What a sick bastard…” She managed to say, while looking towards the ground.

Kelsey, in a rage of fury, listened to the words her mother said to her and felt her heart sink to the ground. She had never really thought about it being her fault why she had an awful relationship with her mother. Maybe, even though she didn't want to admit it, both herself and her mother had an equal share in the blame. Kelsey could feel hot tears swell up in her eyes as the words her mother said sunk in.
"The only reason why I gave up on you is because you made my life unbearable. You set these impossible goals for me and when I couldn't match up, you just tossed me away! Don't you think I wanted you in my life?! Don't you dear turn this around and say that it is my fault! I did not change! I just decided that I wanted to be my own person instead of your fucking clone!" Kelsey spat, her words piercing like venom as she tried to contain the tears in her eyes. Kelsey used to dream about one day her and her mother would finally get along and be close again. Sadly, those were only merely dreams. Kelsey knew her mother wanted nothing to do with her.
"Oh good parenting, mother. Call your only daughter a bitch. You are really on your way of becoming world's greatest mom" Kelsey said sarcastically, rolling her eyes in anger at her mother. Then, Kelsey stood and watched in anger as her father disobeyed her wishes and told her mother what had happened. Kelsey watched in shock as her mother began to become angry and start to cry. Kelsey didn't know what to think. She had never seen her mother cry before in her life. Did her mother actually care what had happened to her? Watching her mother cry only made Kelsey break the dam that was holding her tears and begin to cry also.
"Don't be mad at Dad! No one saw this coming and like I said before, this is more my fault. I probably provoked him some way. I guess you were right, mother. I am worthless," Kelsey said through her tears. She felt her legs go limp as she fell into the chair she had been sitting in. Kelsey curled into a little ball and put her sobbing face into her knees. Even though the attack was weeks ago, she still felt so dirty and worthless.

It was growing extremely, extremely difficult for Robert to keep it together. He clenched his fists to keep himself from strangling his family on the spot. Really, it was enough for him to want to Adava Kedavra himself. Women were the only beings that could make a man want to kill himself. He briefly imagined what it would be like it Kelsey, Mandy, and Mackenzie were all in the same room. Robert would be screwed.
Robert closed his eyes, letting Mandy push him. He clenched his jaw to keep himself from getting angry about the topic again. It was...too hard. Plus, it didn't help that Kelsey was there, in the room, and Mandy was basically about to cry. Robert honestly expected Mandy to start throwing things at him for it. He would take because he felt he deserved it.
His head snapped and he glared at Kelsey. They had had this conversation. "Kelsey," he said through gritted teeth. Robert took a deep breath to calm himself, although it didn't help much. "You are not worthless. It's the fact that you are worth more than anything to me that it happened to you," He winced as Kelsey started crying. It was clearly evident she wasn't over it but, either was he. What made it worse was when he glanced at Mandy. She was crying too. We all know by now that Robert and tears didn't work well.
Robert wanted to shrivel back to hardening himself for this. He couldn't, not with Kelsey curled up and crying like that. With a heavy sigh, Robert let his hard self drop, and he swooped in to take Kelsey in his arms, holding her like a small child. He couldn't bring himself to say anything. It was too hard just watching Kelsey cry because of something he did...or didn't do.
"I've been thinking about it," Robert said, with a shaky voice. "I think I know why he did it, and it's entirely my fault." He hesitated, almost waiting for a reaction from either Mandy or Kelsey but, he needed to press on. "I've decided, what with this and the horocrux business to - " he paused. Saying what he wanted to say next was life altering. Not only for him but, for his entire family. He knew what he was going to say, would make his father roll over in his grave. Robert cleared his throat, and looking down at Kelsey knew he was making the right decision - not just for himself but, for her. "My allegiance no longer lies with Bellatrix or the Death Eaters," he said slowly.
Robert hadn't completely determined if he would go join the Order or anything. He only know that he couldn't keep supporting the two people that were destroying his daughter. Little did he know, his eldest son was also on that list but, that was an entirely different matter he had yet to learn about. Revenge had fueled his decision to stop his allegiance.

It was a sad, known fact that Mandy hadn’t been much of a mother these last few years, especially to Kelsey. While she comforted Juliet when her sorrows got the best of her, Kelsey strayed into the darkness, and at the time Mandy didn’t give a second thought about it. The thought that Kelsey had never needed her always came to mind, their relationship was a complete joke that would put Harry Potter and Tom Riddle to shame. Mandy too, had never had a functional relationship with her mother, always bickering and saying things that weren’t necessarily true, whether Kelsey words had truth to them was another story, but Mandy’s did not.
Life had come to disappoint Mandy, happiness was a mere illusion that no longer existed in her life. However, she wasn’t depressed, reality had just hit home. What had happened to her ambitions, her big dreams? They where shattered, torn and stripped from her. Having a headstrong father, and a controlling mother never went down well in family life. In the younger years of Mandy’s life, arguments, screaming, hexes and much more filled her home, on a regular basis. She couldn’t say her childhood was relatively normal, or a happy one for that matter, and because of Mandy, her daughter could no longer say the same.
She was finding the pill was hard to swallow, the news was impossible to adjust to, no matter how long she had to get used to it. Her heart had rocketed up to her throat, even the thought of what her daughter had went through, brought fresh tears to fill her honey brown eyes. “No Kelsey, you’re not worthless.” Mandy said quickly, strong regret in her voice. No body was worthless, especially not her daughter.
Once Robert took Kelsey in his comforting arms, Mandy pushed a piece of hair from her daughter’s damped face, “I’m sorry Kelsey, I never wished for this to be inflicted upon you. I am sorry that it has took me this long to realize how precious you are to me, I am sorry that this had to happen for me to realize…” Mandy whispered to her daughter, struggling to get the words out.
Mandy had never been much of a mother, and she had spent half of her life regretting it. What kind of mother only realized how much their daughter meant after she was raped? What kind of mother argued with her daughter on a daily basis? What kind of mother was like Mandy? None. The sore thought had struck her, and to think, she actually thought she had down a good job with her beautiful children.
Keeping her eyes drawn to Kelsey, she listened to Robert speak, still angry with him over the situation that wasn’t really his fault. Once he announced that his allegiance was no longer with the death eaters, Mandy’s eyes quickly flashed in his direction. “Are you purposely trying to put our family in danger? Do you know what happens to people who just decide to stop following the death eaters? They are hunted down like animals, and their families are tortured in the process.”
Although Robert was only trying to do what was best for his family, she was pretty sure abandoning the death eaters wouldn’t help the current situation. “What did you do? What did you do that could possibly lead to Jack Lestrange raping Kelsey?” She finally asked, anger still rushing through her.
