So her parent's did think she could get back at Jack? Kelsey knew she probably couldn't but it still made her mad that her parents did not have any faith in her. Then again, they were looking out for her so that she did not go and get herself killed. Knowing that she would not win this battle, Kelsey just rolled her eyes.
"Fine. I won't go after Jack but ever chance I get I am throwing objects at that huge head of his!" Kelsey said, the determination ringing in her voice. Kelsey smiled as her father said she could stay home for the night. It would be nice to sleep in her own bed for once. She didn't even get to sleep in it much during the Christmas holidays seeing as she spent most of her time at an inn with James. Boy did they ever have a rather fun time there. Kelsey began to frown as she heard her parents begin to argue as to who would bring her home. Did everything always have to get into a fight with these two?
"Look, if you guys are just going to argue about this I will go back to the castle on my own. I can just use the floo network to floo into your office in the castle," Kelsey said in a stern voice, wanting the fighting between her parents to stop. It tore her heart apart when they fought like this and made her lose hope that they might actually not get a divorce. However, more hope began to well in her heart as she watched her parents share a moment. There they were holding each other's hand and she could feel the love between them. Maybe their dysfunctional family was finally learning how to keep it together and find love again.
Kelsey felt her heart leap more as her father got up and came to hug her, kissing the top of her forehead. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him back, letting her love for her father radiate off of her. She stood up and leaned against the railing as her father stood up and spoke. It made her so happy that he was actually going to make an effort and quit drinking.
"And I am going to try and quit drinking too. It has done nothing but ruin my life anyways. I'll help you quit and you can help me," Kelsey said with a smile. Then, her heart almost exploded with excitement as she watched her parents basically get back together. She could of jumped up and down with joy right then and there. A huge smile spread on her face as she looked at her parents hug. Maybe this is where her life would begin to turn around. Maybe soon enough they would be able to have family dinners that were not awkward and that she could maybe even take James too. She just wanted everyone to get along like one big dysfunctional happy family.
"AWWWEEEE!" Kelsey said, not being able to keep her excitement in. Kelsey looked like a little child on Christmas morning as she looked at her parents. This was the first time in a long time that she saw her parents actually hug and look like they love each other. Maybe this was where all of the cheating and the lies end within the LeBlancs. Kelsey knew one thing, her heart would tear to pieces if either one of her parents cheated on each other ever again.

"Fine. I won't go after Jack but ever chance I get I am throwing objects at that huge head of his!"
Robert weakly smiled at Kelsey. "Now Kelsey," he said, "Throwing objects at him, isn't the best idea. If, however, he tries to give you a detention - just come straight to me. If you can't find me, just sit tight in my office - my room even, until I get there." This was more of a command than a request. Robert wasn't going to leave Kelsey alone in a room with that bastard ever again. If Kelsey even chose to go back to his class, Robert was going to stick close by that floor for the length of the class. “Why can’t I just bring her? Robert sighed. Obviously Mandy didn't understand why he didn't her there. If Jack went after Kelsey, he wouldn't put it past him to go farther to mess with his family. Robert had been a loyal Death Eater his entire life. He did everything he was asked to do. Robert gave his daughter up for a horocrux and yet, this is what he got out of return? He settled that in the coming days, he was just going to have to have a little talk with Jack. "No," Robert said to Kelsey, "We aren't arguing. Mandy, if you want to bring her back, fine." He wanted to add 'don't do anything stupid' but, he thought better of it. That statement could open up an argument. Robert was tired of arguing for the day. He was sure in the coming weeks and months, they would have a few arguments, just not tonight. As Robert hugged Kelsey, he was flooded with several memories in which he hugged her. Many of them had been when she was little still. A small smile came to his face as he thought about it. Robert wished he could go back to those days. Couldn't life have like a redo button somewhere? A way to go back in time and skip certain events? Well, it was impossible really. Wishful thinking didn't hurt a man. Going back in time wasn't the answer. Robert knew he had to focus on the present. He had to take each day one at a time, and try not to get sucked back into the salty ocean again by tidal waves. "And I am going to try and quit drinking too. It has done nothing but ruin my life anyways. I'll help you quit and you can help me," Robert stifled a soft chuckle of sorts. "Ruin your life? You know, that sounds oddly familiar..." he said, with s slight smirk. Robert had basically told Kelsey to stop drinking, to avoid ending up like him. "I'm going to need all the help I can get, from both of you," he added, looking between Mandy and Kelsey. Robert almost felt like a new man already. He knew that a long, rough, untraveled road lay ahead of him. He had the determination to make it to the end of that road too. Robert knew he just couldn't do it alone. “I’m sorry too…" Robert was a bit confused. He felt Mandy had nothing to be sorry about. Sure, she pushed his buttons but, what wife didn't push her husband's buttons from time to time? For a second, he didn't even realize she was hugging. Robert felt extremely grateful she was. His arms went around her, and held her rather close. This, if anything, was something good that came out of the evening. He'd come to terms with the fact he needed to change, and that it wasn't going to be easy. Robert realized that, when he thought he didn't, he did still love his wife. Maybe they could find that old spark again, in time. Everything would just take time. He sighed, and even kissed the side of Mandy's head. "AWWWEEEE!" Robert turned his head to look at Kelsey. She was witnessing and actually loving moment between her parents in Merlin knew how long. Robert felt that this was a good thing for Kelsey to see - in case she was wondering if she would end up in something as similar to this about her own marriage. A thought came to Robert's mind. If Kelsey could witness this moment, Robert thought of a way from him to witness the day of her life he wanted too. "I have idea," he said, rather cheerily. His mood had done a complete three sixty in a matter of a few short moments - amazingly. "I think, that next year after Kelsey is finished with school, when this is all over, we should give Kelsey the wedding she should have had," he said. Robert didn't even stumble over James' name this time. He was beginning to see the Potters/Weasleys as not being so bad. They were family - a happy family, who all loved each other. Mandy contained so much anger that it pained her, it pained her to know that there was a sick bastard out there who was particularly after her family. She didn’t sign up for this, she didn’t sign up for all this drama and especially not all this pain. A family brought happiness and security, what was so different about their family?
Mandy smirked at Kelsey’s words, it was something Mandy would be most likely to say. “I think you should throw objects at that huge head of his and then run. Run as fast as you can kiddo,” Mandy knew she shouldn’t have been taking any amusement in the situation, so allowing a sigh to escape her lips she quickly shook her head, cursing herself. “No just go to your father‘s office.” She spoke, quickly regretting her previous words. Kelsey had inherited Mandy’s attitude, her feistiness too, and throwing things at a rapist is exactly what would have came to her mind, and it would’ve been something she would actually do. So telling Kelsey to stick with her words would be incredibly stupid of her.
If Kelsey considered that arguing, Mandy would love to know what she considered it when they where screaming each other’s heads off, this was more of a light debate. Mandy nodded softly as Robert agreed that she could bring Kelsey back to the castle. Anyway, she wasn’t even lying when she mentioned that she had plans of visiting Anton. She hadn’t seen her eldest son in quite some time, he hadn’t came home for Christmas, and she could understand that…no, actually she couldn’t and that was why she wanted to check in, to see if everything was ok. Anton used to come home every break and now, she barely even talked to her son.
Mandy knew this was what her family needed, to just turn over a new leaf and try to reconcile their relationships with one another. They’d still have their fair share of arguments but there seemed to be a lot of pressure and stress wiped off everyone’s shoulders and maybe that, would allow more bonding, especially between Kelsey and Mandy. They had missed a lot of things, due to their years of bitterness and resentment, and Mandy wanted nothing more than to fix that.
There was much to be sorry for, and only Mandy understood why. While she allowed herself to put the blame on Robert for his infidelity, she remained silent about her own issues. Wasn’t she the one who had found comfort in her best friends arms? Mandy loved her husband, and wanted to believe he’d put his cheating habits to the side, and if he did and truly tried, she would give up too. Perhaps that was why she wasn’t all that shocked with the announcement of his affair, she realized how easily it was to be tempted into the arms of sin. Brett had been a family friend, a best friend to her and in her time of need he was always there willing to give her the shoulder she needed to cry on.
Closing her eyes for a moment, Mandy realized this was the first in a long time that she felt as if she needed Robert, truly needed and wanted him. Knowing that you where on the verge of losing your husband and father of your three children, it really made a woman think. Feeling Robert’s lips against the side of her head and then a loud, ecstatic outburst from Kelsey caused Mandy to turn her attention to her daughter.
Was this a dream or some crazy illusion she was experiencing? Mandy couldn’t believe her ears as Robert stated his proposal, arching an eyebrow and turning her gaze in his direction, she silently wondered if he was ok. It seemed as if her husband was experiencing some pretty intense mood swings. Mandy had always wanted to see her daughter walk down the aisle. It had really hit her hard when Kelsey had announced her marriage to James Potter. “…Yeah, that isn’t a bad idea. It’s up to you Kelsey, if you want that?”

Thought Kelsey joked about throwing things at Jack's head, deep down inside she worried that he would come after her again. After all, he did it once, what would stop him from doing it a second time? Kelsey knew it would kill her deep down inside if he raped her for a second time. It would make her feel worthless and unimportant. Kelsey really did hate feeling like that.
"Fine, I won't throw objects at his head! You guys just ruin all my fun," Kelsey said in a joking voice with a slight smile on her face. It felt nice to Kelsey to be able to joke around with her parents. As she studied her mother more and more, she realized that they did have a lot in common. She could see the same attitude in her mother that she had. She finally knew where she had inherited her temper and her witty remarks.
"I'm not going back to his class though. I have something else to do that period. See, you know when you said we should talk to Mr. Potter, dad, about the whole horcrux thing? Well I ran into him one day when I snuck off campus when I should of had Jack's class. Don't go getting that mad look on your face either father, you must know I leave campus all of the time. Your office isn't exactly impenetrable. Anyways, we got to talking and I told him about my situation and he has been giving me occlumency lessons ever since," Kelsey said. She had wanted to tell her father about the lessons for some time now but it never seemed to come up in conversation. They were usually just talking about how she was feeling and if the horcrux was doing anything.
"Oh father, don't be giving me all of that I told you so crap. I know you were right," Kelsey said with a smile and her voice slightly cheery. Her father had told her that alcohol ruins your life but Kelsey just shrugged it off, having most likely been slightly drunk at the time. But now that she has seen how much trouble she could get into, Kelsey knew that it was time to stop. She was young and didn't need that evil substance ruining her life.
Kelsey couldn't believe how much her life turned around in the matter of an hour. She went from depressed and hating the world to an actual happy teenager. The change to Kelsey was unbelievable and she was so glad that it happened. Her parents looked like they were not going to get a divorce, Kelsey was actually on good terms with both of her parents and since Kelsey had taken control and tried to do something about the horcrux, nothing was wrong in her life. Well, maybe not nothing but the major things had gone away. As Kelsey heard her father propose to have a wedding for her after Hogwarts, Kelsey's face lit up with joy.
"Really? You would do that for me? I thought you guys didn't approve of the marriage! This is amazing! Alyson had wanted to amke one this year, but I said no because of everything that happened. I can't believe you guys are going to do this! Thank you!" Kelsey exclaimed. There was a priceless smile on her face that could never be replaced. Her whole body radiated with joy that she actually ran over to her parents and embraced them both in a hug. Now this was a sight to see. It looked like something from a magazine. There stood the three people who would have been voted most likely to kill each other if left in a room alone, actually hugging. Someone get a camera!

..Don't go getting that mad look on your face either father, you must know I leave campus all of the time. Your office isn't exactly impenetrable. Anyways, we got to talking and I told him about my situation and he has been giving me occlumency lessons ever since,"
Robert blinked but nodded. Oh, he sure knew about most, if not all, of the times Kelsey was somewhere she shouldn't be. Robert was nice enough to let them all slide. He knew if he ever brought them up, Kelsey would argue her way through it until he gave up on the subject entirely. So, to avoid any argument, he let the matter be. That didn't mean that he didn't like it. A small sigh of relief left his chest. Occlumency would give Kelsey a more of a fighting chance with Jack. Robert probably couldn't learn such a skill to save is life. Kelsey was smart, and she was being taught by Harry Potter no less. Robert was also perfectly happy with the idea of Kelsey not returning to Lestrange's class. It was a requirement but, he could figure out some loop hole to get her graduated without it. He was sure he'd receive a visit from Lestrange about it but, he'd deal with that when it happened. "Oh father, don't be giving me all of that I told you so crap. I know you were right," Robert cracked a smile. "Aren't I a standing example too?" he added. He had used himself as an example to Kelsey a thousand times. This life - the one he was in - wasn't one he wished his children to have. They didn't need to be like him - following father's footsteps. They deserved better, they were better, stronger than he was. Robert took notice of the look Mandy gave him. He gave her a small, sly smile before turning his head to witness Kelsey's excitment over the idea. This, made him smile and actually feel better. He hadn't really realized he had kept an arm around Mandy until Kelsey came and hugged them both. At first, Robert went a little stiff, it felt...awkward to say the least. It wasn't something he really expected to happen out of the evening. Then again, none of what happened was expected. Especially his little....moment, we'll call it. It took him a second to realize that he should probably do something so, he put his free arm around Kelsey, hugging her back. Robert glanced at Mandy and then at Kelsey, feeling that things would be getting better somehow. He was glad that she was going along with it, even if it appeared she thought he was off his rocker. Hell, he probably was. The smile on Kelsey's face made it worth it in the end. Robert remained in this happy moment for several minutes. It was something that would last with him forever. With a great amount to reluctance, Robert let go of both girls and took a small step back. "Well, it's getting late. I should probably head back before Lestrange tries to take over the school as Headmaster," he said, joking light. It was, however, something he'd never put past Lestrange to try to oust him out of the position. [/blockquote]
