[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]on my own, here we go --- And what could he do about it? So what if things were not going the way he intended them to go? So what if he had lost a good sum of money on this last bad deal? It seemed that no one really cared that he felt like he was going to lose his mind dealing with the people he was forced to deal with. They could not handle someone of his age telling them what to do, and this threw a huge cog in the wheel of his plans. He sighed, and eyed the parchment closely. He had finished the letter earlier, and now had his owl on it's perch in front of him. He knew he would need to attach the letter, and send the owl off regardless of if he was happy with what he had to say in the note. Eric had just fired everyone working for him on his latest project. Every single soul was going to be cut off, and he had sent word to that damn goblin bank to arrange for all his funds to be transfered into his main account. His vault sat far below the surface of Diagon Alley.
He closed his eyes and rubbed his brow. How could things have gone so wrong in such a short amount of time? He did not like it, but it was not the first time this had happened. This was the result of doing business at such a young age. He knew he should have used a figure head to work his magic with the holders of his profit. Nothing would change what already happened, and all he could do was count his loses and focus on the next big thing. He had no idea what the next big thing would be, but he was certain something would come up before too long. Eric laughed to himself.
He reached out and attached the rolled parchment to the leg of his favorite owl. The bird lifted off and disappeared through the opening in the Owlery. He watched it move into the night air, and he turned to leave. Eric paused at the door with his fingers on the knob. Someone was coming, and he was in no mood for encountering any company tonight. He sighed and looked around. There was no place to hide. Of course, when things went wrong for him they always seemed to get worse before they got any better. He closed his eyes, turned the knob, and stepped out onto the stairs.
Eric almost walked right into the smaller figure of the red head coming up the steps. His frown turned into a smirk almost immediately...

It seemed no matter where she travelled, she could find no peace of mind, all the shadows that remained lurking in the inner confines of her mind threatening to break lose. It wasn't all that bad, really. So what if she went insane, maybe then she wouldn't have to worry and prepare for a desolate future where she would still only be viewed as the youngest Potter. She knew she shouldn't let it bother her and normally it didn't but she had felt an odd heaviness to the air earlier, one that reminded her very much of how she felt when her parents were congratulating her older brothers for some sort of accomplishment, whether it be in Quidditch or because they scored excellently on their O.W.L.'s. Sure, she loved her brothers and she was always very proud of them but it became a little disheartening when it felt as if they were outshining her, Lily forever dwelling in their looming shadows.
She was by no means one who demanded esteem or recognition, she merely just wanted her family to appreciate her. She knew they did but she felt uncertain at times, like they were merely lying to her so as to spare her feelings. She scrunched her nose up in disgust, wishing her thoughts wouldn't constantly surround around the negative. She figured that's what she got for being a pessimist and a very cynical one at that. Luckily, she was able to conceal it from her family, hide away behind this facade of charm and wit. It was pretty easy to accomplish, it helping that she was an extraordinary liar, one reason she was sure she landed in Slytherin. A small smile cracked against her features, not regretting being sorted with the snakes. She had never felt more at home here but at the same time, it could never compare to her actual home, the love of her family proving to save her in her most critical moments.
Not a damsel in distress, Lily had never been the type to just give in and give up. She had a feisty personality, her dad always mentioning that she got it from her mother's side which always caused a chuckle to escape. Her mother was definitely a work of art, but not in a condescending, bad way. She was a work of art in the way a kid was when he finally tricked the school bully into giving him his bike back or making it all the simpler and just black mailing him. Her mother had a lot of heart in her and though Lily loved her, it was hard for her to feel sympathy. She was sure it was just her cold nature, something she had accepted long ago. A sigh emitted from her lips as she brought the tip of her quill to her lips, twirling it as she lost herself in her thoughts. She was in the process of writing a letter home to her parents, finding it to be more difficult than she anticipated. She was supposed to write to them every week and update them on anything new that had happened.
Scribbling the usual method of response, that she was fine and the only new thing had been a ridiculously long essay her Potions Professor had wanted them to write, she signed her name and pocketed the letter. Her eyes scanned over the rooms searching for any forgotten items she might've left laying around, seeing nothing she shrugged to herself and turned, her fiery red locks glinting against the dying fire. She quickly ran up to her dorm for her wand, wanting to send the letter off as soon as possible so as to avoid a frantic note from her mother wondering why in the bloody hell she hadn't written yet, claiming she had been frightened for her life. She ran her fingers through her hair, her movements holding a certain elegance as she exited the common room and made her way towards the Owlery. She hoped she would be alone, not really in the mood to talk to anyone.
As she rounded the corner, she was almost met with a most unfortunate accident, almost bumping into a figure on the stairwell. Her eyes met with a familiar face, falling to the smirk wrapping itself around his lips. She smirked as well, her gaze steady as she watched him. "Fancy seeing you here," She teased before moving past him to get into the Owlery. She assumed he would follow her, not wanting to lose track of his prey, her light footsteps hardly making a noise as she searched among the owls for her own. Spotting Freya in a far corner, she walked towards her, a small smile playing along her lips as she began to gently stroke her beak. The owl hooted in approval, snuggling against her arm while Lily tied the note around its ankle. Freya nipped her lightly in a loving way before she was off, soaring across the grounds and towards the mountains. The redhead couldn't help but smile as she stared peacefully ahead, appreciating the way the sun sank into the ground, bidding its last farewell until tomorrow. banner made by REBEL MELON of CAUTION 2.0 |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]on my own, here we go --- Eric knew her well, having spent more than one evening in her company in the darker shadows of their common room. Standing together while drinking and looking out of the large bubble windows at the fish and other marine life that floated in the Great Lake had lead them to spending a night together behind an overstuffed sofa. Neither of them had been sober, even if Eric was not one to drink a great deal. He never regretted spending time with this Potter girl, having at first thinking it would be interesting to get close to her due to her popular name alone. However, once in her company he had found that he did not mind being around her in the least. She had talents that he had not imagined from someone younger than him, if only by a slight year. He had never forgot the first time they laid together, arm in arm pressed into one form as the shadows folded around them. No care for who might walk in, Lily and Eric had let the world fade and slipped into a comfortable pairing that he found himself craving on more than one lonely night in the Slytherin dorms.
Her long red hair was what caught his attention before he knew her name. His tastes always leaned more toward those of the flaming locks, and hers was as bright as her smile. Her mysterious eyes offered a lot in the way of entertainment, and that kept his attention as they had shared fire whiskey as they watch a group of smaller merpeople swim past the thick -often rumored to be magical- glass. Small talk lead to a small fight, more drinks followed. Soon, both of them sat back to the sofa with eyes planted on the lake in hopes of seeing the Giant Squid do something interesting. The mating rituals of squid became the topic as Eric's words had began to slur more and more with each passing moment spent with Lily. She paused and had asked him if Squid kissed, and he replied by asking her if she did.
The night's tone had changed from that point on. Eric had slept with Lily often after the first time, but the first had always been his favorite. He would never let her in on the secret that he wanted her more, or more of her. He allowed his cold charm to always lead the way in his dealings with his Slytherin housemate, even if it left him wishing he had said something different. He was aware of her dealing with other boys in the castle. He hated the idea of her with someone else, and had taken time out of his busy schedule to warn of other Slytherins from flirting with Lily. More than once he had cornered some unsuspecting boy and promised them an ungodly amount of pain if they so much looked at Lily the wrong way. For the most part, his secret threats worked. Still, he wanted Lily and Eric was often used to getting exactly what he wanted.
He followed her into the Owlery and watched her attach her own letter. He did not care what the letter said, he was too distracted by just watching her movements. She was a delight to behold, and he always looked for her when she was around. He knew she had no clue how he felt for her, or even how he longed for her company. He thought she probably just considered him another horny boy looking for a good fuck. This could not be further from the truth. Well, it was true; but, Eric wanted more than just sex from this girl. He just had no idea how to tell her without losing his upper hand in the matter. He almost sighed, but kept his facial expression under control.
"Fancy meeting me here, is it? How fancy, exactly?" His voice was cheerful, and friendly even as his eyes remained on her and hungry. They could almost growl with one look.

Their first night had definitely been one she wouldn't soon forget. It had started off a tad innocent (course, what's truly innocent when there's alcohol involved?), them merely just standing before the large bubble windows, passing a bottle between them as they drank, their eyes glued to the marine life before them. It had been a most wonderous sight, she had been blown away by the beauty the Great Lake held. The moon always seemed to shimmer along the surface, silver glinting as fish jumped out of the water to meet the night before their slumber. It was hard for her to shake the need to feel his arms around her again, to feel his breath against her neck. Those lips were the closest she'd get to knowing what heaven was like, his skin smoother than she expected.
She knew she had to get her mind off such matters, though her thoughts merely shifted to their first night, but a little later. They had been watching merpeople swim past, their forms so fascinating to the redhead, and eventually small talk was had. This led to a small fight, what it was about she didn't have the foggiest idea, and so they went back to drinking. Eric wasn't much for drinking, at least not like she did sometimes, so it had been a surprise when he wanted to hang out with her that night. She didn't regret it in the slightest, though she would never utter such a vulnerability. She knew he didn't feel the same so there wasn't even a point to confess, besides he wasn't the type to fancy anyone. He merely did things to achieve his own ends, a fact which Lily is sure is the reason he chose to sleep with her that night. He didn't do things out of the kindness of his own heart, that much was obvious just by spending five minutes with the man, and she doubted that night didn't have some sort of plot in mind.
Her thoughts shifted to the Great Squid, images of her and Eric gazing out at the lake to see it do something interesting. Little did she know, her question about squids kissing would be what led to her doing something very interesting with Eric Strobe. She still remembered the smug smile he wore as he questioned if she kissed, the entire mood changing from that night on. His slurred words still rang clear in her ears, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips, her mind forming the sensations of his hands traveling across her skin, his dark eyes hungrily staring her down. In moments, he had been on top of her and from there, it only led to more sex afterwards, having spent many nights by his side after that. It was still slightly amazing to her that Eric chose to sleep with her, even when she didn't have anything he particularly needed. He'd come in questioning if she had a quill he could borrow and then it led to sex somehow. But hey, she wasn't complaining in the least, though she knew her dad would have a field day should he ever find out about her shennanigans.
Fortunately, she hid her tracks well, her Slytherin nature coming in handy as she tricked her parents left and right, they still under the impression that she was this sweet, innocent girl. How far from the truth that really was, but she'd be damned if they ever found out. She hadn't slipped up once for she knew that the second her dad caught wind of any funny business going on, he'd freak and possibly threaten to pull her out of school. She doubted he'd ever go that far but it was always a possibility, her dad having never been the same since the war. Not wanting to think about such matters, she shook her head, her expression as unfathomable as ever as she gazed out across the grounds. The sun was shining brightly, a perfect day for Quidditch should their captain schedule a practice. Luckily, their captain wasn't as strict or downright loony as the Gryffindor Quidditch team's, something the Slytherin Captain liked to point out daily. Hearing a familiar voice behind her, Lily turned to face him, a smirk playing along her lips at the uncharacteristically cheery tone his voice held, something she couldn't help but notice only happened when she was around.
"Like the Queen of England fancy," She chuckled, a bemused expression crossing her features. Normally, she wasn't such an open book (in her eyes, anyway, in reality she really wasn't revealing too much) but she assumed that it was just because she had grown comfortable with Eric. After their many nights spent in the other's arms, it was hard to push these feelings away. They confused her, Lily having been so used to just fucking and leaving, not wanting to stay for any intimacy for it made her feel nothing. But with Eric, things had changed. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but there was something different billowing inside her heart, something foreign that she couldn't place with a name. This odd emotion threatened to consume her, eating away at her insides. She refused to let it, keeping her emotional facade in check as she gave him a once-over, feeling his hungry eyes roam her frame and a small smile tug at her lips. "So how're you on this fine day, love?" Her emerald green eyes seemed to sparkle against the sunlight as they gazed upon him, her tone being of a joking manner while she stepped towards him. banner made by REBEL MELON of CAUTION 2.0 |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]on my own, here we go --- Even the way she spoke to him sent small chills up his spine. He did not know what it was about her that made him feel this way, other than the excitement he felt when he was near here, or inside her. She had a way about her that made him feel something completely different deep inside the icy chambers of his heart. He would turn away from such emotions, hide away so that he would not have to deal with them. After all, such things only lead to distraction and that was non-conducive to his goals. He would not be trapped like that.
Still, she was magical in her own way. Ever since the first night they shared she had a way of turning up on his mind, in his thoughts, and in his bed. He recalled the one night they had found their way to the Forbidden Forest, completely out of bounds in these dark times, and shared a night under a canopy of trees. Not only had it been physically pleasing to Eric, it had been the closest to romantic that he had ever come. He did not believe in love, or romance. He thought it was just something females used to get men to do whatever they wished. Yet, she was different. She never seemed to want or need anything from him. She was there because she liked to be there. She slept with him because she enjoyed sleeping with him. He got that impression from her each time they were together. Nothing had changed since the first night, to the most recent one they shared in an empty class room on the fifth floor.
And she called him love. He enjoyed it when she called him that. He liked it more than he ought to, since words should never really please anyone. Results should be the only thing to find pleasing, but that single four letter word was heaven coming from her full lips. His eyes moved from her lips to her own eyes, and the urge struck him once again. He fought back against the desire to take her into his arms and make her his once again. He did not want to just do it because his hormones decided it was time to do her. No, he liked the wait, the anticipation. He liked her.
Eric moved closer to her, his hands folding under his arms across his chest. "I was unaware that someone could be more fancy than that old hag. I must be very special indeed." His words were teasing, but his gaze was firm. His eyes moved over her, and then he smiled. "You are looking... well." Nothing he could ever say in his entire life would ever be more true. She did look well. The way she stood there so calm, so perfect looking. Her hair a full red that could burn anyone with a touch. Her eyes as deep as any eyes he had ever looked into, though he had not ever looked at anyone the way he does to her. He could not help but feel good when she was around. Just being around her made him look good. She was so tempting.

Come to think of it, Eric was really the only person she spent any time with and the fact that she enjoyed it was all but mindblowing. It surprised her to find that she felt something for the man before her, having been so adament before to avoid harboring any feelings of closeness. She had tried so hard over the years to remain distant from all of her peers, refusing to let them inside the walls she had built up so fiercely. But with Eric, it was different. Things had shifted, changed in a most dramatic way. She found she couldn't erase him from her thoughts and at times, she found herself thinking about him when it was a particularly slow day in classes. He was distracting her and when she was with him, she could feel her personality morphing. She became happier, more prone to joking with him. What the bloody hell was going on?
Lily attempted to clear her mind of such thoughts, but it only seemed to intensify them as her brain mulled over the night when they escaped to the Forbidden Forest, passing the time in each other's arms under a canopy of trees. It was against all rules of course but they had no cares towards the authority figures. That was one of the things she couldn't help but fancy about him, he lacked caring towards any rules and whether or not he would get in trouble. She knew that was mainly because he could talk his way out of anything, a smirk bestowing itself along her features at the thought, and it only made him all the more appealing. The night in the Forbidden Forest had been the most romantic he'd ever been, a feat she never thought possible from him, but she welcomed it for some reason. Normally, she would shy away from such intimacy but with Eric, she truly wanted it. She wanted to encompass his thoughts and cause him to act in an uncharacteristically loving fashion. Her brow furrowed in confusion, wondering why she would ever want such a thing, and realizing she was letting her facade slip, she placed it back on, bringing her attention to her fellow Slytherin.
She watched as his eyes moved from her lips to her own hue of emerald green, a small smile playing along her lips. Those eyes threatened to consume her, wrapping her up in an embrace of pure ecstacy. She could feel him burning holes in her skin, the urge to feel his skin against her's more than overwhelming. She wanted to push him back against the wall and have her way with him, much like she had most recently in that classroom on the fifth floor. She doubted he'd object to such a thing but she resisted the temptation, assuming he would reject her advances. She didn't want to push him into doing anything he didn't want to and confusion stormed inside of her at this self-less thought. Since when did she care about how she affected another person? But one look into those dark eyes and she was hooked, realizing she would never be able to escape his unfathomable gaze and those sultry lips. She cared because she fancied him, cared because she wanted nothing more than to please him. This reality threatened to shatter her and so she pushed it to the back of her mind, knowing this was the type of thing best left for pondering in the wee hours of the morning in the comfort of her loneliness.
At his jesting words that he assumed no one could be as fancy as 'that old hag,' a chuckle escaped her lungs and her eyes seemed to light up briefly as she brought them to gaze upon his dark depths of brown. His gaze was as unrelentless as ever and at seeing a smile grace his lips, she couldn't help but return the gesture, "Very special indeed," She agreed, casually tossing a playful wink in his direction. He moved closer to her, crossing his arms over his chest in the process, and she swore she felt an electricity hanging in the air. It threatened to consume her heart, chipping away at the fragments of ice that still remained. She heard him say she looked well, a pregnant pause seperating the compliment, and a gracious grin took over her features. "As are you, love." Her words rang true as her eyes roamed over his form once more, biting her lip in an attempt to cease the urge to pounce on him right then and there. He was just so tempting, a portrait she couldn't help but trace over even before the paint had dried. Never had she had a problem resisting temptation, especially when it came in the form of peers she had slept with, but with Eric, she almost felt a need to always be with him. She craved his presence, wanted to swim in the scent he wore. He was so intoxicating it caused her breath to hitch, her eyes meeting his own once more as a small smile cracked against her lips. banner made by REBEL MELON of CAUTION 2.0 |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]on my own, here we go --- Love was a sin in his mind. It was a way to be trapped in a mounting confusion that came with the small emotion. He knew that you could obtain the same amount of chemical reaction if you ate a small bar of chocolate. The only real difference was that the chocolate bar would not crawl inside your mind and effect how you think, act, do... Chocolate bars were not emotionally connected to you, and could not demand your attention. Chocolate would not ask for presents, to be seen in public with you, to hold hands, or for anything else as far as that matter goes. Chocolate was just about the most undemanding object in the history of objects. All it wanted to do was sit there until you ate it, nothing more nothing less. He could not compare Lily to a chocolate bar. He knew he was simply avoiding the building feelings he was contracting like a growing disease deep within his own being. He did not like it, he did not hate it. He did not know what to even think about it.
He was well aware of the fact that she was valuable to him. It was not just the sex, which was amazing. It was not just the physical pleasure he could gain from simply standing with her. No, there was more to it. The way his stomach seemed to turn and flip when she would just smile to him. Such a simple gesture could turn his thought process and his complete world on it's ear. He did not know what to make of it, but he did not want to fall in love. He could not afford such a distraction when he had so much to gain from life. He still could not shake the thoughts, the ideas that maybe for a brief moment he did love her. Maybe there could be room in his life for someone like her at his side, and not just in his bed. He swallowed and glanced away from her with a quick eye. She had a way of luring him in.
He moved closer to her, and his voice turned down into a low whisper. "So, where does it go from here? This game we play? What is the next move, dear Lily. Venom of my heart." His bold flirtation had to be noticed to be more than just words. He carefully hid his confusion as he spoke to her. His own eyes flicking over her form, and then back to her full lips. How many nights had he craved her to place those lips on him, wherever she desired? He could not count the times he wanted to just go to her. However, he had to know where this flirt was going. Eric needed to make sure his footing was evenly balanced when dancing with Lily. He never would allow her to gain the upper-hand. No one could control him, he would push them away if they got that close. Yet, he could not imagine a world where she was away from him.
He thought a moment about everything he wanted in life. Power. Fortune. The Dark Mark. Control. Lily. Yes, she was on the list of those things he most desired in life. It was no real surprise to him, but at the same time a shock wave flew through his system. He did not let this show on his face and he smirked in her direction. He was not going to let her know how bad he wanted her, more than just a fuck buddy. He swallowed lightly, and leaned his head on her shoulder. Being this close to her was intoxicating.
Eric enjoyed every second.

Never had she even considered she'd feel remotely close to that emotion towards anyone, ever. Lily hadn't planned on falling in love, that much was obvious from how much she shone away from intimacy, but it was impossible to escape these feelings. She could feel them eating away at her heart, Eric's image forever replacing any doubts in her head. He was everything she wanted and more and yet she was afraid to admit such vulnerabilities. She didn't want to admit that she was scared, confused as to how to go about her day now with this learned knowledge. Besides, she had no idea what he was even feeling towards the situation. More than likely, he merely viewed her as a simple fuck, someone who didn't demand anything from him because that just wasn't the type of girl she was. She could never imagine being one of those spoiled girls who dotes on a guy just because they slept together. How pathetic.
Her thoughts snapped back to Eric, though she was unsure why it had happened so quickly. It seemed her mind was getting used to pondering about the man before her and well, Lily couldn't have that. It was fruitless to even attempt shutting off her brain, however, for she had never succeeded before, though the idea of love felt like a tumor that was slowly growing inside her heart. She was unable to quell these feelings but kept her facade in check, not wanting Eric aware of the fact that her brain was practically going on the fritz over him. He would simply laugh at her, call her a naive girl to think he would stoop so low as to fall in love. She already knew of his hatred of it, listened to him rant about how it was nothing but a waste and turned everyone's brains into mush. She had to give him credit on that last one, however, for she couldn't even get a thought across that didn't contain his dark presence.
Their sleeping together had started off as just fuck buddies and if she had known it would escalate to this, she might've decided against it. She hadn't thought she would fall for her prey, how stupid could she be. She had known getting into this that Eric was anything but open to the idea of love and would most likely laugh if presented with the opportunity. He had bigger things on his plate, much more important issues that didn't depend on the feelings of some girl. Besides, she was still certain he had only slept with her because of her last name though why he continued to hold onto her and have sex with her was a mystery in itself. Lily had thought she would be anything but interesting after the first time but Eric kept coming back for more. The thought caused a smirk to slide in place though she noticed Eric's adam apple move as he swallowed and his eyes cut away so fast she had almost thought she had just imagined it. An eyebrow rose in question, her breath hitching while he moved closer, his scent enveloping her form in all its beauty.
His voice turned into a low whisper, the raspiness his tones held almost more than she could bear. His voice sounded so sexy to her, those sultry tones crashing into her like waves, but she kept her features as emotionless as ever, not wanting him to know that she was ready to burst. His words rolled over her like a waterfall, her eyes widening slightly as she met his gaze. She could tell these were more than just words, a shiver travelling down her spine and causing her to shiver. She couldn't help but smirk at him calling her 'dear lily, venom of my heart,' unwavering gaze remaining on him as she delicately pushed a stray strand of hair off of his forehead, fingers lingering while they trailed down his cheek. She kept her hand there for a moment, eyes searching his face briefly, a small smile playing along her lips at seeing that he was staring at her mouth. Those words would forever ring in her head and in a matter of moments, her lips crashed into his', familiarity sinking in for Lily was unable to hold it in any longer. She had to kiss him, had to taste that piece of heaven one more time plus it was common knowledge that actions spoke louder than words. Eric knew her well enough to know she was anything but the social type, especially when it came to her emotions. This was the closest she'd get to letting him know how she truly felt about him, unable to form a coherent explanation otherwise for the words escaped her. Eventually she pulled away, feeling his head resting against her shoulder and letting a peaceful smile encompass her features. She delicately ran her fingers through his hair, her eyes fluttering shut for a moment as she tried to bask in this moment, knowing this would be the closest she'd get to being close. banner made by REBEL MELON of CAUTION 2.0 |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]on my own, here we go --- Eric once read about a wine called Ambrosia, and it was suppose to give eternal life to those who drank of it; he imagined if such a wine existed that it would have to be the most sweet and robust beverage that could ever have been. That would never compare to the taste of her lips on his. The unexpected kiss made his breath hold in his lungs, his knees tremble under the weight of her pressure, and his mind fade away into a fiery depth that Eric never imagined could ever exist. She was all consuming, and he could only hold on tight and go along for the ride. He had kissed her in the past, many time in many places; but, this kiss was one he would never forget nor replace. For the first time he had been in her presence, Eric felt the passion behind the kiss. It was not just a touch of lust that the two often shared, but there was something more. Something was within the bounds of this kiss that Eric could not easily ignore, and then he was off on the whirlwind of emotions that her touch induced.
He wrapped his long arms around her soft waist, and pulled her into him. The feel of her body next to him set off another boom of fireworks that he had never intended to show this day. However, he could not help it. She locked herself firmly into his heart the moment she touched him with her own full lips. His hand crawled up her back and entrenched itself into her red hair. Fingers moved through long strains as his eyes slipped closed. He moved his tongue into her mouth wanting to taste every bit of her. Then, as the kiss lasted, Eric wanted more.
With a strong turn he forced her against the wall, his body bouncing into hers as they collided with the hard rocky surface. His hips thrust forward to move as close to her as he possibly could, his hands now moving freely on her body as he forced his own kiss onto her. He did not remain on her lips. He kissed around to the nap of her neck, and bit lightly on her flesh. He left a small mark, one that might be questioned if anyone noticed it. Eric did not mind, he was simply marking his turf.
Was she his turf? He wanted to believe so. In this moment it all seemed to click in his mind. The careless, and carefree, nights they had spent had all led to this moment in time. Every touch shared, each time he entered her, moved this date closer. And he went along with that movement. There was no other place he would rather be than with her, here, now.
Eric moved his lips down her neck to the top most swell of her ample chest. Both hands clinched those mounds as he kissed between through the fabric over her over garment. He loved the way they fit in his palms, moving in small circular motion to feel ever inch of her. His head tilted and he pressed his lips against hers. His voice quivered in longing as he finally spoke, "We need to go somewhere more private, now!" It was no suggestion, it was a demand. He would not be satisfied until he had her, and she had him. For the first time in his life, Eric was not so certain that all he was thinking about was sex. Could he see a future with this girl? Was there something behind the physical pleasure he would gain from her touch?
Eric did not hesitate with an answer in his own mind. Yes... yes.

Never had she felt this much attraction towards another person, especially something other than lust. This was something stronger, something much bigger than she understood. There wasn't a lot Lily couldn't tackle but when it came to love, she was about as bad as her father was when playing against Uncle Ron in wizard's chess. She wasn't sure who's move was next or where that move would take place but she would just float along and accept whatever may come her way. She wasn't afraid of the unknown, she was however scared of truth that lay buried deep within her heart, the truth she had been trying so hard to fight and avoid. She knew she had to accept that she couldn't outrun this, that this was why people always referred to love as getting tangled in a spider's web. She felt as if Eric was wrapping her into her own little web coccoon to feast on her later, to take a bite out of her heart. If it ever had to come down to it, she was sure she'd do it for now Eric had obtained her icy heart and it was his choice regarding what he did with it.
Lily knew it was a long shot to think Eric wouldn't break her heart, that he would fuck up somehow, but the same could be said about her. She wasn't the most reliable when it came to intimacy, the vulnerability making her shy away from ever even attempting such a feat. But as she gazed into those dark eyes, she knew it would be worth it in the end. The feeling of her hand on his cheek caused her to notice how loudly her heart was thumping against her chest, she was amazed Eric couldn't hear it. All thoughts were swept away as her lips' crashed into his, his hand snaking up her back to entangle in her hair. He pulled her close, arms wrapped around her waist, and she felt as if she was melting in this moment. Her legs felt like jelly and if it weren't for him holding her up, she was sure her knees would give out. As his tongue slipped into her mouth, she battled it with her own, a small smile wrapping around her lips as she grabbed the back of his head, fingers gripping his roots and bringing him closer. She wanted to feel him mold into her own form, feel his beauty trickle into her brain and sweep her into a state of complete ecstacy.
As if on cue, he threw her against a wall, his hips thrusting forward against her body causing a soft moan to escape from the back of her throat. His kisses were harsh and she could practically feel them bruising her skin, though the feeling only fueled the fire. His lips traveled freely along her body, traveling to the nape of her neck where he then bit gently. Her head fell back against the wall, eyes fluttering shut, unable to stop another moan from escaping. She growled, a smirk lining her features as she too let her lips roam along his cheek, down his neck until she reached his collarbone, pulling his shirt down so it was exposed. She proceeded to bite and lick, loving the feeling of his collarbone between her teeth, she guessed she had a small fetish for it. She was sure his bite would leave a small mark but she was more than positive that no one would miss the sight of the large hickey that now encompassed his collarbone, if he ever took his shirt off in public that is. Her hands traveled down his chest, tugging at the hem of his shirt and biting her lip, a mischievous smile taking hold. She let her hands snake inside his shirt, her nails biting into his skin while she dragged her fingers down roughly, loving the feeling of tearing him apart.
Her eyes fluttered shut once more at the feeling of his lips traveling down her neck before reaching her bust. His hands moved in circles while he kissed over her blouse causing her to groan, her body indicating she was more than ready to have him. In fact, she needed to have him. His lips found her's again and they wrapped her up in a blanket of sheer peace, their soft and gentle nature threatening to overwhelm her. His words were more than enough invitation, the quiver in his tone causing more ice chips to slowly break off of her heart. Grinning, she took his hand and quickly made her way towards her dorm, using secret tunnels she had found in the past as a way of getting there even faster. Upon reaching a large stone wall with a marking that looked much like a door with a snake printed on the front, she muttered an incantation and the stone turned into an actual door, which she then pushed Eric through, kissing him passionately before pushing him onto her bed as well, drawing the curtains around the bed frame and muttering a few silencing spells, this having become second nature to her from all their previous nights together. Straddling his lap, her emerald green hues fell upon him and a chuckle escaped her lungs before she leaned forward and wrapped him in another kiss, her fingers entangling in his hair while her free hand traveled delicately along his neck before reaching the hem of his shirt once more, now having the freedom of privacy to remove this unnecessary garment, pulling it over his head and throwing it behind her. A small smile played along her lips at seeing his body and she subconsciously bit her bottom lip, fingers now traveling softly along his exposed skin, wanting to memorize this moment for all eternity. banner made by REBEL MELON of CAUTION 2.0 |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]life it seems will fade away --- Her touch, her kiss, her movements against him made his mind fade away. He could not think straight when she was in motion. It was like a thousand waves crashing down on him from the seas of an emotion he best felt left dead in his heart. He could not help but open up to her a little at a time. He knew that if she only asked him, he would do anything she wanted. Of all the people in the wide world, she was the one he could not say no to. No negative words could form on his lips when hers were against his. It was more than frustrating. It was more than an oblivious pleasure that they shared on numerous occasions. It was something deeper, uncontrolled, almost hated in his own mind as much as he desired it. And Eric knew what one single word described how he felt when she was near. It was one single word that he hated the most out of the lexicon of communication. One little four lettered word that spoke volumes into his own mind. He would not utter it, could not speak that word. He was more than happy that her lips were next to his to force him into silence.
He went with her eagerly. He allowed her to move him into place. In fact, he allowed her to do whatever she wished to do. He was hers, there was no denying it even if he would not freely admit such a thing even to himself. It was a dark shadow stalking the back of his mind and threatening to overwhelm his cold heart. And when she moved like this, there was nothing he could do but float on the surface of her desires. He reached up and pulled her down on top of him, his hands worked of their own accord, and soon...
The world faded to black.
If it was a dream, he did not want to awake. If it was death, he would embrace the black forever and never doubt his choice to allow himself to be engulfed in eternity. The fireworks had faded, yet the hot flashes could still be seen in the back of his eyes. It was like an after effect of looking too long into a burning flame. Such was her passion, and such was the way he felt after wards. His body trembled, and his breath was too shallow to speak. Yet he held her, like he had never held her before.
Normally when it was over, he would rise, dress, and leave her with a smirk or a short word. This time it was different. This time he wanted to touch her, to not let her move beyond his grasp. His naked form next to hers, with no one to interrupt them. His hands laying on her skin, and his eyes closed against the negative hope that if he was dead he would have died happily inside her. His lips moved into a smile, and he could not help but wonder what the rest of his living life could be like if she remained with him like this forever. Would she? Could she?
Could he?

There was an unfamiliar emotion swirling in the deepest confines of her heart, one she never dared utter unless it was to a family member. She could feel it erupting between her and Eric, it was wrapping them up in a foreign embrace. She refused to acknowledge those emotions, however, for she doubted Eric felt the same. But yet she could feel it behind his kiss, could see it hiding behind his eyes. Could he really feel the same? Could the cold-hearted bastard she met years before actually have a place for her held secretly in his heart? The thought almost made her want to chuckle but she held it back, knowing it would do well to just leave it alone. Dissecting her feelings for this man would not propel what they came here to do any faster and judging from Eric's roaming hands, he wanted anything but to talk about his emotions.
His soft skin felt nice under her fingers and she would give anything in the world to freeze this moment in time, those sultry eyes staring deep into her soul. He wormed his way into her mind, almost like a disease, to the point where she couldn't stop thinking about him. His image haunted her dreams, the sensation of his hands treading along her skin followed her always. It had been nights like those that she would intentionally find Eric for another one of their rondevues, though she never gave him a reason and he never asked. It was as if he already knew but yet wouldn't acknowledge it, holding it deep within his heart for later reference. They were both dancing around the issue but Lily was alright with that, she didn't want to accept her feelings for him anymore than he did. Yet, at the same time, she wanted to. She wanted to let him on the little secret she'd been carrying for Merlin knows how long, but the fear of his laughter kept her from doing so. She did not want to be made to look like a fool, especially at his' hand for it would hurt far worse than any other.
A moan escaped from the back of her throat, Eric's movements almost more than she could bear. The world seemed to fade away as they let their hands speak the words their lips couldn't and eventually, all she could feel were his arms wrapped around her frame. Behind her eyes, she could see flashes of light that she was sure were emminating from Eric, a small smile playing along her lips. She had never felt this satisfied laying in another's arms and to think that Eric would bring her such comfort was surprising. Usually, he'd merely leave her with a smirk or short word before departing, not even bothering to glance back. But things had changed, she could sense it. Never had he held her like this and she swore she could feel his body trembling. Her head lay against his naked chest, loving the feeling of his skin against her's.
This was much more intimate than they had ever been and normally she would run away, leave before things got too close, but she didn't have the motivation nor the care to. This was where she wanted to be, always. Though it frightened her, she didn't bother thinking any more on the issue, preferring to spend her time basking in Eric's ethereal glow, her fingers delicately travelling along Eric's neck. A peaceful smile wrapped around her lips, her eyes remaining closed as if she knew that the moment she opened her eyes, it would be nothing but a dream. Or even worse, a cruel joke. She didn't want to face the reality and so embedded herself closer against Eric's form, planting a soft kiss on his chest in the hopes that this was real and that everything she was feeling wasn't just a lie or part of a plan Eric had brewing to further dibilitate her. banner made by REBEL MELON of CAUTION 2.0 |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]life it seems will fade away --- Once his breathing was under control Eric felt he could think again. His mind was not as clear as he wished it could be, and he was afraid his guard had been lowered to her. Did he trust lily enough to let her in more than he had ever let anyone else in? He did not know, and was surprised he was even considering letting this girl get closer to him than she already had been. Wasn't sex enough? Wasn't stealing the small slips in time good enough to allow this relationship to continue they way it always had? Eric did not think so. He liked being in control, but with Lily that did not seem to matter anymore. He felt the need to own her, to have her like a prized trophy that no one else could possess. The thing that shocked him the most about that thought was how much he wanted her to own him. He never felt that way with anyone before, and had to stop and wonder if she had cursed him in some way.
He had heard of that happening before, mostly as a horrible prank. Someone could put a potion in someone's food and the next thing you know that person would be completely mental for someone they had never known. It was downright sickening to witness. Eric took comfort in knowing that he did not openly act that way toward Lily. She had not poisoned him, though he would not put it past her or anyone else. She could have cast some spell on him, but he did not really feel like that was what was happening when he was with her. He would give her sex freely, so why would she bother with casting any sort of curse on him to get what she wanted. Obviously, if she were to cast a spell on him she would be asking for more than sex. With Lily at this point she had asked, nor wanted, anything but the time they spent together. She showed no outright emotions toward him at all.
Her heart could be as cold as his.
She was a year younger than him, but she had just the same amount of experience. If not more, he would think later when he laid alone in his dorm and could not pull his thoughts off her. There could be tons she could gain from a closer relationship with Eric. The least would be money and power, but he never saw her show the slightest interest in those things. When they were together, the only interest he saw her show was the desire to have him inside her. This baffled him, but at the same time it allowed him to dismiss the idea that she was using magic on him to get what she wanted. Eric was lost about why he was thinking they way he was, and why when he looked at her he could not help but feel the smallest of butterflies dancing in the pit of his belly. He wished he could toss that feeling aside and continue with her the way they had always continued. Sleep together, and part. That seemed to have all changed within the last couple of hours.
This was not something that had instantly happened. This was not some stupid story about love at first sight that the girls at Hogwart's always giggled about in the dark corners. Eric was clever enough to know that this had been building up over the course of time he spent with Lily. It was not an innocent tale of love, and passion. No, this story was filled with dirt, nastiness that they both seemed to crave when in the company of the other. There was nothing instant or innocent in what they did together, and the lack of emotions that had been clear in the past. Something had changed though, and the emotions moved into each touch from her soft fingers. In the way her chest moved when she breathed, and Eric knew he wanted her more than ever. But how could he ever tell her? How could he open up to someone he did not entirely trust? What would it be like to have an actual relationship with someone? What would it be like to share his life with Lily.
Eric sighed, and knew he wanted to know those answers. The icy cage of his heart closed tighter, and he pressed his lips together. She would only hurt him. She would get inside, control him and make him no more than a slave to her love. Such a dirty word love was, one he did not know if he could ever speak out loud. He looked at her and caught his breath. She was beautiful, glistening in their lovemaking, and perfect. The curve of her lips made him want to mount her and kiss her fully. His desires stirred once again, and he had to fight the feeling down. He swallowed, but the building tension in his chest did not fade away. The revolution of how she made him feel was clear, and it almost crushed him like a ten ton heavy thing. He could not think properly, and did not know what he could do about it. He had to do something, he needed to say something. He screwed up his nerve, and exhaled sharply. "Lil? We should talk." He made the statement, but had no idea what else to add. He knew they needed to talk, but had no idea what to say. All he knew was something new to him. Eric swallowed again and made a dry click in his throat. He could no longer doubt what he knew to be true.
Eric was in love with Lily Luna Potter.

Images flitted by of her fellow Slytherin, of that smirk he usually wore afterwards and those dark eyes that she knew would be the death of her. These feelings were more than overwhelming and she was astounded that a bloke such as Eric was able to worm his way into her brain and feast upon her heart. He was like a disease that slowly grew within her making her a ticking time bomb. She wasn't sure when she started caring for him but it was obvious it wouldn't be too easy to erase him from her mind. In fact, she deemed it impossible for she had tried many times to quell her thoughts of him, of the way he always seemed to smell so good, of that way he looked at her -- only her. Upon thinking about it, she realized that Eric never looked at anyone that way and an eyebrow raised in question. What made her any different from any of the other girls he was most likely banging? Why did he choose to grace her with his presence for no reason at all (except for the sex, of course)?
It was almost like he was taunting her, the goal of torturing her mad beyond belief clearly in his reach. This could all just be a ploy to make her weak, to strip her of power. For what good was love and why did everyone crave it so? She hadn't the foggiest idea, about that as well as why she felt the way she did in regards to Eric. She could practically feel her power draining from her finger tips and her eyes snapped open to glance at Eric's profile, wondering if maybe he had put a spell on her. Of course she had heard the horror stories of blokes who had been slipped a love draught in their cereal only to be found grovelling at the feet of some undeserving bitch who was merely using him to feel loved, as pathetic as that is. Was she just as pathetic as those girls? True, she had never wanted love, but Eric had changed that. Now she wanted it, needed it more than oxygen. A bit dramatic, yes, but her emotions were overpowering, though she would never admit to such a thing. As far as anyone else was concerned, she was emotionless and didn't care one damn bit what anyone did.
Her eyes travelled to Eric's naked chest, it dawning on her that she cared a great deal what he did and she knew if she were ever to stumble upon him with another girl, she would be deeply wounded. She wouldn't ever admit it, especially to him, unless he chose to take the bullet first. She knew that would never happen, knew that he could never put himself on the line like that and didn't even need to for there was nothing to talk about. He couldn't possibly love her, couldn't possibly want to spend as much time with her as she did with him. She was merely a giddy school girl with a crush that needed to be squashed immediately. Nothing would be accomplished if she fell under the whims of Eric Strobe, she would merely become weak and lost, unable to recover. She had to stop that before it happened so she pledged to hold onto her secret, she would never let Eric know her true feelings. He would merely laugh at her, as she suspected before, and though he was acting a little out of character in regards to how he was holding her, she assumed she was just imagining things. This time was no different than the others.
A sigh broke her out of her reverie, her eyes fluttering shut to prevent the inevitable parting. Lily wondered what was on his mind, but at the same time, cursed herself for even caring. She knew his departure was fast approaching for the sigh probably indicated he was tired of holding her, tired of even being in her presence. She had been about to move from her comfortable spot before she felt a pair of eyes on her, her green hues slightly widening at the expression that was crossing Eric's handsome features. It looked as if he was admiring her, soaking in her presence, and her eyes cut away quickly. This was too close for her, much too intimate. She tried holding onto the thought that this was just one of his jokes, that he was merely trying to make her feel uncomfortable, but the words 'Lil? We should talk,' penetrated her ears, causing her to have a brief relapse in showing actual emotion as widened eyes met his own. She had always loved when he used her nickname, but the seriousness in his tone as well as the fact that he had used those dreaded words you only heard between couples in Muggle movies made her wonder what he could possibly want to talk about. Of course the reason was clear but Lily pushed that realization to the back of her mind, she would play dumb with herself for awhile. This couldn't be happening, it just couldn't. Words escaped her and she could only nod in response, her breath caught in her throat as anticipation loomed over her. banner made by REBEL MELON of CAUTION 2.0 |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]life it seems will fade away --- Her nod made him hesitate. He knew what he wanted to say, but he needed to say it in a way that would protect him at the same time. It was an enigma, and he had no clue how to turn the puzzle over so that it made sense in his own mind, much less his heart. He looked at her and watched her face to see if there was a sign as to what she might be thinking. He had no clue, and it was not the first time in his life. She could be like this sometimes. She was icy, and almost a perfect reflection of him. Yet his own ice had a crack, and he mentally fingered that crack and found it to be spreading wider and wider with each passing second he spent in her company. What could he say, would whatever he said even matter. How could he proceed without making himself look weak in her eyes. How could he go on without making his own crack burst open to have him fall to her mercy.
Would she have mercy?
Eric inhale his thoughts, and started to think it over once again. The tingling in his body flooded his mind, and he tried to play out each word before he would say them. His imagination ran the gambit from fighting to fucking. Which way it would go would only be revealed after he said what he wished to say. He could not put the words in line, and it was hard to open his mouth and begin. He queued in on the single thing that made them spend time together, and figured that was the line that would lead to the things he was going to want from her. He grasped that line of thought, and pulled. It did not take long for him to come up with the things to say. He had done this very thing in business dealing all his young life. This would not be any different. Instead of money and profit, the benefit would be Lily. That was high stakes for him, but he was willing to take the risk. The conversation would have to start with a single statement. Eric looked to her, and reached out to touch her cheek.
"I do not want this to be something we do ever so often. I want to be with you on a regular basis." His tone was soft, and his eyes locked onto hers. It was hard to tell which direction the conversation might go after she let his words sink in. He was not even certain she would not jump up and leave before he could continue. The only thing Eric knew was that he had set things into motion, and would have to harden his heart if it went the wrong way.
